How to pronounce journey?

How to say journey in sign language, words popularity by usage frequency, how to use journey in a sentence.

Jenny Bryson :

As a family we have been turning every stone, looking everywhere for her, we can rest a little easier knowing that the journey so far has come to an end. It's been hard searching for her and even though we're glad to have some closure it's been heart-wrenching.

Bruce Arians :

It feels good just to be a Buc, [Brady] is a great one. I just thank God every day. I was crying for like 30 minutes – I was on the phone with my mom and my dad just [talking] about my journey. I think it's a wonderful story how it's playing out.

Katy Gough :

I have a lot of anxiety around being in a certain place at a certain time as I'm a bit of a control freak and prefer to do things at my own pace and because of this, taking public transport makes me incredibly anxious, you have no control over what time you travel, how busy it's going to be and you don't have the ability to say 'no' and turn around and go back home once you get on. I had previously had a massive panic attack on a train journey to London and now, a large part of me associates trains and public transport with anxiety and panic attacks.

Mick Fleetwood :

The new book is a pictorial book, which stays very much focused on the beginnings of Fleetwood Mac -- 1967 thought the next eight years -- and it's very much regarding what drove us as young musicians, which was blues, it's really a journey that chronicles all of those early years that are mostly unknown in America.

John Keats :

Though the most beautiful creature were waiting for me at the end of a journey or a walk; though the carpet were of silk, the curtains of the morning clouds; the chairs and sofa stuffed with cygnet's down; the food manna, the wine beyond claret, the window opening on Winander Mere, I should not feel --or rather my happiness would not be so fine, as my solitude is sublime.

transitive verb

Did you know?

The Latin adjective diurnus means “pertaining to a day, daily”; English diurnal stems ultimately from this word. When Latin developed into French, diurnus became a noun, jour, meaning simply “day” The medieval French derivative journee meant either “day” or “something done during the day,” such as work or travel. Middle English borrowed journee as journey in both senses, but only the sense “a day’s travel” survived into modern usage. In modern English, journey now refers to a trip without regard to the amount of time it takes. The verb journey developed from the noun and is first attested in the 14th century.
