Avenged Sevenfold Announce North American 2023 Tour Dates

Avenged Sevenfold shares the 2023 tour dates first time in five years. We are thrilled to announce that Avenged Sevenfold will be embarking on their first North American tour in support of their critically acclaimed album , “Life Is But a Dream.” This long-awaited tour will be a must-see event for fans of the band, who have been awaiting their return to North America.

Avenged Sevenfold is renowned for their live performances and more. Fans can expect to hear a mix of classic hits and new material from “Life Is But a Dream,” all performed with the band’s signature blend of heavy metal and hard rock.

The band has also promised an incredible stage production, complete with stunning lighting effects, that will enhance the overall experience.

A7X band’s tour will kick off on July 18 in Camden, NJ, and will continue through August, with dates in major cities like Minneapolis, Montreal, and Vancouver. The band will be supported by a various lineup of opening acts, including Falling in Reverse, and Alexisonfire.

Avenged Sevenfold is known for their powerful live performances, and this tour is sure to be no exception. Avenged Sevenfold Announces Fall Leg Of ‘Life is But A Dream…’ North American Tour

With Special Guest Falling In Reverse

Today, multi-platinum headliners and famed heavy metal rock group Avenged Sevenfold have announced the second leg of their extensive Life is But A Dream… North American tour – featuring support from Falling In Reverse . Produced by Live Nation, leg two includes stops in Nashville, Denver, Austin, and more before concluding at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena on October 15. Fans will have the opportunity to hear the group’s first single in seven years, “ Nobody ”,  and their new album Life is But A Dream … for the first time live during the 30 show outing. 

The first leg with support from Alexisonfire includes thirteen cities across the U.S. and Canada, such as Mansfield, Québec City, Tinley Park, Calgary, and more. The group kicks off their 2023 solo touring run with two unique one night only arena shows in New York and Los Angeles this June.  

TICKETS:   Tickets will be available for the newly announced shows starting with a Deathbats Club and TicketPass presale (details below) beginning now through Wednesday, April 12 at 3 pm ET. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale beginning on Friday, April 14 at 10AM Local Time on LiveNation.com . For all other shows, tickets are on sale now at LiveNation.com .

Setlist, Photos + Video – Avenged Sevenfold Debut Several Live Songs at ‘Life is But a Dream’ Tour Kickoff

Avenged Sevenfold ’s latest studio LP, Life is But a Dream… , will be remembered as one of 2023’s most divisive metal albums . Obviously, that didn’t stop them from premiering several songs from it at the kickoff show of their current North American tour this past Friday (June 9) at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

Naturally, they began with album opener “Game Over,” which they first brought to the stage about a month ago in Las Vegas. Afterward, they debuted the second song from the record – “Mattel” – before moving onto previously played album cuts such as “ We Love You ” and “ Nobody .”

In fact, it wasn’t until the encore that they introduced more new material from Life is But a Dream… , and interestingly, they went for the entire penultimate suite of “G,” “(O)rdinary” and “(D)eath”!

Along the way, they also performed some past singles: “Afterlife,” “Hail to the King,” “Buried Alive,” “Nightmare” and “Bat Country.” Plus, they pulled out fan favorite “A Little Piece of Heaven”; dedicated “So Far Away” to late member Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan ; played “The Stage” for the first time since 2018; and included a sample of the original chorus during the outro of “Unholy Confessions.”

Clearly, the show offered a fairly wide-ranging overview of their catalog amidst honoring their newest collection.

"Nobody" , AVENGED SEVENFOLD 's first official music release since their 2016 album "The Stage" , delivers nearly six minutes of tension, groove, and dynamics. The song twists and turns beyond conventional songwriting and leans in on discomfort before letting go. The Huntington Beach metal kings will be taking their long-awaited new album out on the road throughout North America in the autumn with Falling In Reverse, kicking off in Florida on September 16 and wrapping up in Texas just under a month later.

And as well as their Deathbats Club platform, A7X will be using their new TicketPass system in which they plan to reward fans in the long run.

“TicketPass will by no means cost anyone any money, you won't have to get involved in cryptocurrency, you won’t have to do any of these things that people feel uncomfortable with, and the token that we’re going to be using is on the Polygon network — an environmentally-friendly blockchain,” explains frontman M. Shadows. “We want to roll something out to the rest of our fanbase without them having to opt into a full fan club experience that is strictly for tickets and ensuring our fans get the best tickets they desire first.

“At the end of the day, we want to know your feedback on if this worked well for you, and we will take notes and mold this for you. Look at this as a frequent flier miles type of program – with Avenged Sevenfold, we will be breaking these passes into ‘tiers’ over time and rewarding the people who have been participating the most in our A7X ecosystem (with merchandise, listening habits, music consumption, live events, and other metrics).”
