February 2021 - If you are aged over 7 0, or on the shielding list (known as clinically extremely vulnerable) and have not yet been contacted to book a coronavirus vaccination, please call the surgery on 0113 2310626.
If you are travelling abroad it is your responsibility to make sure that you have left enough time to receive your travel advice and any vaccinations or medication you may need prior to your travel date.
Ideally, you need to make a 10 minute appointment with a nurse who will discuss what vaccinations you will need and then a further 20 minute appointment will be made for the vaccinations to be administered.
If you have not left enough time to make an appointment with a nurse for the travel advice you will need to attend a travel clinic for advice.
If you are going to be away for more than 30 days you need to contact a travel clinic for your travel advice.
If you are travelling to more than 1 country you need to contact a travel clinic for your travel advice.

TRAVEL ADVISORY
TRAVEL ADVISORY; New Clinic Serves Visitors to Moscow
A new private clinic has opened in Moscow to serve travelers as well as residents. The service is provided by U.S. Global Health, a members-only joint venture of Columbia-Presbyterian Health Services; the Fund for Large Enterprises in Russia, a private investment company, and Pepsico World Trading, which helps develop businesses for its parent company, Pepsico.
Four American-trained, board-certified doctors and their assistants prescribe medications and provide diagnostic outpatient services and lab work. Doctors are on 24-hour call and in emergencies will make house calls, according to Sherrie Dulworth, Global's director of sales and marketing. The clinic will also arrange for emergency hospitalization at the Kuntsevo Central Clinical Hospital.
A 10-day "tourist" membership is $39, with separate charges for medical services, which are comparable to those charged in the United States. Global honors most major American insurance policies. A one-year family membership is $950, $475 for an individual and $90 for business travelers. A trial 30-day membership costs $90 for individuals and $150 for families. U.S. Global Health is at Fourth Dobryninsky Lane; telephone (7-095) 974-2332, fax (7-095) 974-2400. In the United States, (800) 335-9068.

This review is for their threading service. I stumbled upon this place and was happy to find a threading spot. It was quick and easy as you pay upfront before sitting on one of the chairs. The process was good, quick, and efficient for £8. I also liked that they accept credit card, which is always a plus in my book. Do note that it can be a bit awkward that the threading salon is in an open space as people are shopping, but it's the least of your worries.

Wow. though the pound is a little more than the US dollar currently, the prices you pay for cosmetics and health care items here are significant!! Bright, clean, easy to reach merchandise fill the store. Clerks are helpful and friendly and efficient. Look for a Superdrug when you're in Edinburgh- well worth your efforts if you need OTC, cosmetics and health care!
Prices are really reasonable here!
A giant Superdrug smack-bang in the city centre. Great! This is certainly one of the larger s Superdrug stores with so much on offer, I particularly like the range of makeup for sale. What usually happens is I'll go 'hmm, I need (insert good here),' then I'll mosey up to this giant store and walk out with a giant bag full of makeup/food/toiletries/random product and that I didn't know I needed until I saw it. Yea, because there's so much on offer. It's always busy so it's quite difficult to get the assistance of staff. But if you're happy to browse in your own for ages then it's fine. They also have a threading service in the store which is highly recommended, it's the only way I'd get my eyebrows done from now on.
It's a bit like a pikey version of boots really isn't it, but not as bad as Semi-chem. As with Boots you can buy toiletries, gifts and strange healthy yet unhealthy snack but seem to have a lot more 2 for 1 offers and things to make you do more impulse buying. You can pick up some real bargains from the bargain bins but without a loyalty card (and even if they did, would you use it like the Advantage card?) it doesn't ever seem worth the trip.
This store sells various body products be it shampoo, body soap, deodorant, moisturisers and other things you may need for your health such as medicine. This place basically carries the same stuff as Boots but they don't have a lot of generic brands and is a bit pricier at times. You'll have to watch for sales cause it does get cheaper. In addition to body products, they also sell make-up and I believe you can get someone to do it for you. What's unique about this store is the threading. If you get any of your facial hairs threaded, this is a pretty good place to go to. I get my eyebrows threaded regularly cause they can get pretty horrendous so I get it done here every couple of weeks. It cost £6 and the ladies trim and clean your eyebrows. They also use threading on other facial hairs. If you come regularly enough, you'll get a loyalty card and I believe after 6 threading, you get the 7th free. The store offers a rewards cards and you get points from the amount of £'s you spend but I've yet to use mine. This store doesn't necessarily sell anything unique and honestly the location just makes this place convenient to go to if you need body products.
Superdrug is kind of like Boots poorer, ugly little sister. It offers pretty much the same stock, but I just don't shop here. I always wander up the road to Boots. I think because Boots has the loyalty card which Superdrug doesn't, so there is my incentive. I find Superdrug a little bit run down and tired looking and it has a slight cheap feel to it. Which is funny because I think it is a little more expensive than Boots.
Superdrug Website
It's slightly sad that most times I only end up at Superdrug because I'm a little too lazy to walk down another minute or so to Boots. The mamma of all Boots is extremely difficult to compete with, but this cosmetics store on Princes Street is definitely more obviously geared at the primping and preening of the she-sex. It is quite large itself, and you'll find all sorts of shampoos, toiletries, perfumes, make up and celebrity magazines by the aisle. Hmm... I like going in there with a specific aim, because I could easily get sucked into all the "genius" grooming products I never knew existed for parts of my body I never thought needed grooming! One plus to keep in mind is that it closes at 18.30, so it's pretty much a last chance shop as many of the other similar stores close earlier.
I don't shop in Superdrug that often, but I do occassionally pop in for a few bits and bobs. The reason I am reviewing it is due to the eye brow threading! I have been getting my eye brows threaded for awhile as I prefer the finish to waxing. I used to always make the trek to Glasgow to get it done but Superdrug in Princes Street do threading and its £5. It's a total bargain! Just pay at the till, take your receipt to the girls doing the threading and off you go. You do lack privacy as you are getting threaded in the middle of the store (and sometimes in full view of Princes St) but for great threading and a bargain price, it is well worth a visit.
So this review has gone down 1 star - to be fair I am unsure why I rated it 5 stars in the first place...I must have been high on Peroxide! .. However I really do love Superdrug! I always love the range of make up , girlie travel neccessities and its so well located, not far from the train station so its always a must stop before running for the train.
I really really like Superdrug. Its has all the things I need to get, to stock up on my make up and get all my beauty requirements and believe me that is alot ! :D. Very central in town I never have to wait long before getting served...also love their vast array of nail polishes..
Whenever I walk past this store I get a bit depressed. OK I may be overreacting but this place is in dire need of a bright makeover starting with the exterior. I mean you have to compete with the large Boots down the street you have to get your clientele in other ways than the cardboard cutouts of Kate Moss showing off her lashes. As far as the products, it covers pretty much everything, although you may have to compensate for some brands. Prices are variable with the Superdrug brand usually being the most affordable.

Some travel vaccines are given more often than others. For instance, the yellow fever vaccine offers lifelong protection for most people. But typhoid vaccine boosters are recommended every 2 to 5 years. The typical yellow fever vaccine cost is around $170 — but this can vary by clinic and location.
