Grammy-winning performer Paula Abdul has announced a monumental Canadian tour later in 2024 joined by special guests Taylor Dayne and Tiffany . Her Straight Up! To Canada tour takes place in September/October making notable stops in Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, London and Ottawa. Prior to the tour, the singer will be joining New Kids on the Block during portions of their Magic Summer Tour along with DJ Jazzy Jeff .

Back in 2018, Abdul launched her Straight Up Paula! across North America which stretched into 2019 and was her first solo outing in over 25 years. Her debut album 'Forever Your Girl' was released in 1988 and has been certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA. Since the late 80's, the singer-songwriter has sold more than 60 million records while winning 7 MTV Awards and 2 Grammy Awards. Abdul has also received 2 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography and was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1991.

Kids Shop Smart Tours

A fun way to teach nutrition and healthy eating habits.

The Kids’ Shop Smart® Program has been developed by a team of dietitians, educators, parents and primary students to promote the benefits of making healthy food choices. It’s free for the asking.

The Kids’ Shop Smart® Kit consists of teaching guides, classroom activities and grade specific materials. The main portion of the program consists of an interactive supermarket tour, facilitated by a Registered Dietitian.

This program is designed to meet the learning outcomes of Kindergarten through Grade 3, established by the Healthy Living and Career Exploration segment of British Columbia Ministry of Education’s Personal Planning Curricula and the expectations of the health curriculum of Alberta Learning.

Tour guides make it easy. This free package of materials contains everything needed to easily integrate this nutrition unit into the classroom, including useful lesson plans, teaching aids, student workbooks as well as practical suggestions on how to prepare and conduct your tour. There’s also an evaluation form so the program organizers can receive constructive feedback and ideas for improvement.

Teacher’s overview. 1. The “Teacher’s overview” gives a general outline of the program and explains how it meets the School Curricula. It also answers the most commonly asked questions about the tour and lists sources for additional nutrition teaching aids and materials.

Supermarket tour preparation. 2. The “Supermarket tour preparation” booklet includes short lesson plans, an introduction to the food groups, stories and classroom activities to help the class prepare for the actual tour.

The tour. 3. “The tour” provides a step-by-step planning guide for conducting the supermarket tour, including in-store activities, food group by food group. A series of age specific Food hunt handouts and Store maps are also provided.

Classroom activities. 4. “Classroom activities” offer your class a variety of things to do after the tour is completed. Fun experiments include making your own cheese, growing sprouts and lots more activities designed to reinforce nutrition messages.

Playing with your food. 5. “Playing with your food” is a student workbook of recipes and activities that children can do at home with their parents.

An excellent source of vitamins and minerals. The Kids’ Shop Smart® Tour includes the services of a Registered Dietitian. The dietitian is available to instruct teachers and parent helpers about the tour as well as facilitate the tour itself.

Virtual Store Tour - Save on Foods, Richmond

Here at Field Agent we LOVE new stores! We try to get out to them as soon as they open and share what we see with you! 

On March 23, 2023, Save on Foods opened at 9100 Blundell Road in Richmond, BC.  The 20,500 square foot location will offer a traditional grocery shopping experience as well as Save-On-Foods’ new and unique innovations, such as:

• A large selection of grab-n-go items including sandwiches, homestyle fried chicken, ready-to-bake pizza, self-serve soups, and in-store rolled sushi.
• A "Wing & Appies" bar.
•  Bakery stocked with baked-in-store goodies, croissants, a custom cake program and freshly baked breads.
• Meat and seafood department stocked with Western Canadian AAA beef and other high quality meats.

We sent 3 Field Agents to give us a virtual store tour and we also asked them to give us their view as a local shopper on this new location and what they really liked (or disliked). Our tour takes you right to the shopper as they explore. See all the photos below!

Random Line-Up/Lottery Draw Policy for Select Your Ticket On Sales

Upon arrival please wait to receive a numbered ticket. Tickets will be handed out starting 90 minutes prior to the on-sale time until 35 minutes prior to the on-sale time. Once you’ve received a numbered ticket, you are not required to remain on the premises; however you must be present 30 minutes prior to the on sale time for the random ticket draw. 30 minutes prior to the on-sale a number will be drawn and that person will become first in line with all those numbers after that lining up sequentially behind. Those that have a number that precedes the first number drawn will go to the end of the line. This process is to ensure consumer fairness.

Once you have your position in line please have your method of payment ready.
