Elektrische fietsen voor avonturiers

Trek begon in de jaren ‘70 met het fabriceren van fietsen in het sportieve segment. Anno nu is dat nog steeds voelbaar bij iedere fiets met het Trek-logo op het frame. Ook bij de e-bikes van Trek, die haar collectie sinds een aantal jaren compleet maken. Het Amerikaanse merk laat je grenzen verleggen. Snakken naar avontuur. Ook als je gewend bent om je fiets alleen maar voor de dagelijkse ritten van en naar je werk te gebruiken.

Trek e-bikes met middenmotor

De e-bikes van Trek hebben meestal een Bosch middenmotor. Gecombineerd met een accu van 500 Wh haal je afstanden tot ver boven de 100 kilometer. De District + modellen van Trek zijn uitgevoerd met een bagagedrager accu of een in het frame geïntegreerde accu. In alle gevallen kan je de accu eenvoudig opladen, zodat je Trek e-bike snel klaargestoomd is voor weer een nieuwe rit.

Meestgestelde vragen

Je nieuwe fiets wordt rijklaar bij je geleverd. Onze gediplomeerde monteurs lopen de fiets volledig na. Spaken worden gespannen, versnellingen worden afgesteld en eventuele accessoires worden direct bevestigd. Ze maken ook nog een testrit, om zeker te weten dat alles in orde is. Hoef je dan helemaal niets zelf te doen? Nee hoor. Na levering kan je direct op pad gaan met je nieuwe fiets. Ideaal toch?

Per framemaat wordt aangegeven wat de levertijd is van de fiets. Als de fiets bij ons op voorraad is, dan kan je zelf bij het afronden van de bestelling een gewenste bezorg- of afhaaldatum kiezen. Moet de fiets nog worden geproduceerd? Dan vind je bij de betreffende maat de datum waarop wij verwachten dat de fiets bij ons binnen komt. 

Hou er wel rekening mee dat de levertijd uitgesteld kan worden door de leverancier door onvoorziene zaken. Wij streven er altijd naar om je hiervan zo snel mogelijk op de hoogte te brengen als dit het geval is.

Je vindt onze winkels verspreid over het hele land. Met 26 vestigingen zijn we altijd in de buurt. In onze winkels kan je op een groot deel van de fietsen uit ons assortiment proefrijden. Kom langs en ervaar zelf het verschil tussen de fietsen. Onze medewerkers staan voor je klaar voor deskundig advies en helpen je graag om de fiets te vinden die bij je past.

Bij iedere framemaat staat de best passende gemiddelde lichaamslengte vermeld. Wil je er zeker van zijn dat je de juiste framemaat aanschaft, dan kan je dit berekenen d.m.v. het opmeten van je binnenbeenlengte. Meet de binnenbeenlengte zonder je schoenen aan. Dat doet je door je benen zo’n 15 cm uit elkaar te zetten en de afstand tussen de grond en kruishoogte te meten. Als je deze lengte (in cm) vermenigvuldigt met 0.68, krijg je de bijbehorende framemaat.

Waarom kies je voor een Trek elektrische fiets?

Het Amerikaanse merk Trek staat wellicht meer bekend om wedstrijdwaardige sportfietsen, maar de e-bikes van Trek zijn ook van goede kwaliteit. Het bedrijf is opgericht in 1975 en loopt sindsdien voorop in alle categorieën fietsen.

Elektrische Trek fietsen koop je wanneer je zoekt naar een e-bike van een betrouwbaar merk. Trek durft als een van de weinige fabrikanten levenslange garantie op haar frames te geven, wat getuigd van vertrouwen in het eigen product. Daarnaast zijn de e-bikes voorzien van de nieuwste technologische snufjes. In 2024 vind je daarom het Bosch Smart systeem op de fietsen samen met een van de nieuwste displays (Intuvia 100, Kiox 300 etc.)

Ten slotte kies je voor een Trek e-bike wanneer je e-bike met nette prijs-kwaliteitverhouding zoekt. Door A-merken als Bosch en Selle Royale te combineren met haar eigen merk, Bontrager, kunnen ze de lagere productieprijs doorberekenen aan de klanten.

Trek e-bikes voor dames en heren

De elektrische fietsen van Trek zijn in verschillende types te krijgen. Met een elektrische damesfiets van Trek krijg je een e-bike met lage instapframe. Deze is, vanwege de makkelijke instap, ook populair voor mannen. Daarnaast weten we inmiddels wel dat Trek een groot designteam heeft voor haar e-bikes. Elk jaar weer verbazen ze ons met het ontwerp en de gekozen kleurstellingen. Uiteraard heeft Trek ook herenfietsen, gekenmerkt door een hoge bovenbuis. Hierdoor is het opstappen wat lastiger maar krijgt de fiets wel een stoerdere look.

Welke motor zit er op een Trek e-bike?

Op elke e-bike van Trek zit bijna altijd een Bosch middenmotor. Kies je voor een ''instapmodel'', dan krijg je een Bosch Active Line middenmotor met 40 Nm. Voor veel fietsers zal dit meer dan voldoende zijn. De echte toerfietsen van Trek zijn uitgerust met sterkere motoren, bijvoorbeeld de Bosch Performance Line CX Smart motor met maar liefst 85 Nm aan trekkracht.

Sinds 2023 maakt Trek ook ''urban e-bikes''. Dit zijn lichtgewicht elektrische fietsen , waarbij je bijna niet ziet dat het een e-bike is. In deze fietsen zit een Hyena achterwielmotor. Deze zijn een stuk lichter dan middenmotoren, maar geven je ook minder actieradius. Gelukkig kan je met die elektrische fietsen ook heel goed zonder ondersteuning fietsen.

Welke Trek e-bike modellen zijn er?

Trek allant+.

De Trek Allant-serie is de meest krachtige van Trek. Deze premium e-bikes zijn uitgerust met uitstekende onderdelen, een grote accu en krachtige ondersteuning. De Trek Allant+-serie is geschikt voor intensief gebruik, bijvoorbeeld in de bergen, maar ook voor als je zeer comfortabel op richting je werk wil gaan.

Trek District+ 

De Trek District+-serie is een allround e-bike. Zo is hij geschikt voor kortere ritjes door stedelijk gebied, langere recreatieve tochten en hij is uitstekend geschikt voor woon-werkverkeer. De District+ fietsen zijn comfortabel dankzij de rechte zithouding en brede banden. De meeste District+ e-bikes zijn tevens uitgerust met een krachtige middenmotor. Trek Verve+

De Trek Verve+ is wat avontuurlijker dan de bovenstaande series. Zo zijn de fietsen geschikt voor lange ritten want daar is de geometrie namelijk speciaal voor ontworpen. Je fietst dus gemakkelijk uren achter elkaar comfortabel op de Trek Verve+. Daarnaast zijn ze voorzien van derailleurversnellingen die van pas komen bij lange ritten en hoogteverschillen. Kies je lichaamslengte waarmee wij de juiste maat dames- en herenfietsen hebben gekoppeld en combineer met de gewenste levertijd om de beschikbare fietsen te filteren.

Herenfiets : Fietsen met hoge stang. Opstappen op deze fietsen doe je door een been over het zadel te zwaaien Damesfiets : Fietsen zonder hoge stang. Ze worden ook veel door heren gekozen, door de makkelijke in- en uitstap. Lage instap : Vergelijkbaar met damesfietsen, maar dan extra lage instap. Trapeze frame : Deze fietsen worden ook wel trapezemodellen genoemd. Ze hebben een extra diagonale stang in het frame.

Plaats motor

De positie van de motor in de fiets bepaalt voor het grootste deel de rijeigenschappen van de fiets.

Voorwielmotor : Deze motor trekt je als het ware vooruit. De ondersteuning voelt hierdoor niet heel natuurlijk. Middenmotor : De ondersteuning wordt geleverd in de trapas. Hierdoor voelt het natuurlijk aan en is de e-bike erg stabiel. Achterwielmotor : Geeft je letterlijk een steuntje in de rug. Dit type motor wordt echter weinig meer gebruikt. Je vind het met name nog terug op enkele sportieve e-bikes.

Plaats accu

De accu kan op drie verschillende manieren gepositioneerd worden op de e-bike.

In de bagagedrager : De voordeligste en bekendste optie. De accu zit onder de bagagedrager. Het zwaartepunt ligt wel iets hoger, wat de e-bike iets minder stabiel maakt. Aan het frame : De accu zit zichtbaar aan het frame bevestigd. Het zwaartepunt is hierdoor lager dan met een drageraccu. Geïntegreerd in het frame : De accu zit vrijwel onzichtbaar in het frame weggewerkt. Hierdoor is je accu goed beschermd en ziet de fiets er fraai uit.

Kracht motor

De kracht van de motor wordt uitgedrukt in Newtonmeters (Nm). Dit geeft een indicatie van hoe snel je elektrische fiets optrekt. Een krachtigere e-bike trekt sneller op.

Normaal : Dit zijn de motoren die gewoon doen wat ze moeten doen. Onder normaal verstaan we motoren tot 45 Nm. Krachtig : Deze motoren trekken al een stukje sneller op dan normale motoren en bieden wat meer power op hellingen. Krachtige motoren hebben tussen de 45 en 75 Nm koppel. Zeer krachtig : De aller sterkste motoren. Deze zorgen dat je iedere helling op kunt en ook met gemak over onverharde wegen kunt rijden. Alle motoren met meer dan 75 Nm vallen onder "zeer krachtig"

Motoren bieden een lichte tot sterke trapondersteuning. Hoe hoger het aantal NM, hoe sterker de ondersteuning van de motor. Elektrische stadsfietsen zijn vaak uitgerust met een geruisloze motor die een lichte ondersteuning biedt (t/m 50 NM). Op sportieve fietsen zit vaak een sterke motor met een hoog piekvermogen (50 tot 95 NM).

Actieradius

De stelregel hierbij is dat je per 100 wattuur gemiddeld zo'n 15-25 kilometer kan fietsen, afhankelijk van motorstand en andere externe factoren.

De vuistregel die je kunt aanhouden is: 300 Wh: 35 - 60 km 400 Wh: 45 - 75 km 500 Wh: 60 - 120 km 600+ Wh: 75 - 150 km.

Aantal Wh accu

Het aantal Wh, ofwel Wattuur, geeft een indicatie van hoeveel inhoud de accu heeft. Met een groter aantal Watturen kun je langer doorfietsen. De grootte van de accu's verschilt per type motor en vaak heb je keuze uit verschillende accugroottes.

Een grotere accu geeft, zoals genoemd, een grotere actieradius, waardoor je er verder mee kunt fietsen. Het is echter wel zo, dat een grotere accu iets zwaarder is dan een kleinere.

Type aandrijving

Ketting : De klassieke aandrijving die we kennen op fietsen. Riemaandrijving : Je fiets wordt aangedreven door middel van een riem. Een riem heeft als grootste voordeel dat je hem nauwelijks hoeft te onderhouden. In ons blog vind je alles over riemaandrijving .

Type zithouding

Rechte zithouding : Perfect voor de alledaagse ritjes, waarbij je geen uren op de fiets zit. Gebogen zithouding : Een goede zithouding voor de middellange ritten. Denk aan woon-werkverkeer of een recreatieve rit. Sportieve Zithouding : De ideale zithouding op de lange afstanden. In deze houding houd je het makkelijk een paar uur uit op de fiets.

Type versnelling

Derailleurversnelling : geschikt voor een lichte fiets met veel versnellingen.

Naafversnelling : Minder onderhoud nodig en robuuster dan een derailleur.

Enviolo : Traploze versnellingsnaven waarmee je altijd de juiste weestand vindt om comfortabel te fietsen.

Versnellingen

Aanduiding hoeveel versnellingen er op de fiets zitten.

Naafversnelling : De versnellingen zitten alleen in de achternaaf, er wordt één getal gebruikt om het aantal versnellingen aan te duiden.

Derailleurversnelling : Je schakelt over verschillende tandwielen. Er wordt gebruik gemaakt van een 'x' aanduiding. Het getal voor de x is het aantal tandwielen bij de crank, het getal achter de x het aantal versnellingen dat je op de cassette hebt.

Versnellingsgroep

Het verschil tussen de verschillende versnellingsgroepen zit in duurzaamheid, kwaliteit en gewicht. Duurdere versnellingsgroepen zijn lichter, duurzamer en schakelen beter onder belasting.

Trek Releases Two New Hybrid E-Bikes: The Verve+ 2 & Verve+ 3

Trek just announced the release of two new e-bike models, the Verve+ 2 and the Verve+ 3, describing them as “smarter than ever,” and yes, they are both hybrids.

But they’re hybrids in a different way than the hybrids we might write about occasionally on CleanTechnica (and besides, e-bikes are essentially human/electric hybrids anyway, am I right?). In this case, hybrid (or as Trek calls it, recreational hybrid) refers to a style of frame and components and configuration that is essentially blending two or more types of bikes. A hybrid typically combines some of the best features of a road bike with those of a city/commuter bike or a mountain bike, allowing for an upright riding style that is comfortable for everyday casual riding. Being comfortable in the saddle, and having a bike that can be set up to fit your individual body, is key, because if a bike is uncomfortable to ride, it’s probably not any fun, and if it’s not fun, you’re probably not going to ride it very often or very long. ‘Nuff said about the hybrid nature of the Verve+ e-bikes .

The Trek Verve+ 2 features a Bosch Active Line Plus mid-drive motor (250W, 50Nm torque) and a Bosch 400Wh battery, with a top assisted speed of 20 mph and a range of about 40 miles per charge. A 9-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain gives plenty of gearing options, and the hydraulic disc brakes provide the stopping power. A plush saddle and ergonomic grips, a suspension seatpost, and 27.5 x 2″ tires help smooth out the ride, and lights, fenders, and a rear rack are included.

The Trek Verve+ 3 features a Bosch Performance Line mid-drive motor (250W, 75Nm torque) and a Bosch 545Wh battery, which is said to provide a range of up to 75 miles per charge. It is also equipped with a 9-speed Shimano CUES drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, with a comfortable saddle and grips and a suspension seatpost, but has slightly fatter tires (27.5 x 2.4″), and also includes lights, fenders, and a rear rack.

Trek builds quality bikes, so any e-bike you get from Trek is likely very well designed and engineered and manufactured, but some of the marketing talking points on these bikes is kinda silly. I mean, I gotta just laugh when companies call their newest models “smarter than ever,” especially when being “smart” is simply having some connectivity with an app to interact with the bike itself to configure it, plus mapping and activity tracking, over-the-air updates, etc., all of which we sort of expect to be already integrated into everything electric these days. However, it could be that the Bosch Smart System together with the Ebike Flow App is really super smart, like AI smart, so I could be wrong. Also, you kids get off my lawn.

NCM make high-quality, but affordable electric bikes. In this review, I will explain why I believe the NCM Moscow is one of the best budget electric mountain bikes.

About NCM Electric bikes

NCM Bikes, founded in 2014, have quickly become one of the largest electric bike brands in Europe, the parent company, Leon Cycle GmbH is a German company based in Hanover. Their e-bikes are designed in Germany and manufactured in China.

This great e-bike is now available in the US with a higher power output 500w motor and a top speed of 20mph. The NCM Moscow Plus has a high capacity 48v 16ah battery, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and Suntour XCM forks with 100mm travel.  This model uses the more advanced C7 LCD with increased functionality and has 24-speed gears with Shimano Crankset and Acera 8-speed rear mech. There is also a throttle fitted.

I have ridden the EU spec version and that was fairly nippy, so I would imagine with double the power on tap this US version is an absolute joy to ride!

EU Specification

The centrepiece of this Electric bike is the DAS-Kit X15 geared rear hub motor: This durable 250W rear electric hub motor is known for its efficiency and high torque output. It offers a reduction ratio of 1:5 and a maximum torque of 55 Nm, which is excellent for such a small motor. This German-designed hub motor punches above its weight and it is refreshing to see such a high-quality unit on an affordable e-bike.

48v13ah Lithium battery pack with USB charging port for mobile devices:  Usually, electric bike battery packs take up a considerable amount of space in the frame, but the Moscow’s battery is integrated into the down tube of the bike, keeping the weight low and central, which helps to improve stability. The claimed maximum range of 75 miles seems a little optimistic, but possible if the pedal assist is used wisely. The total battery energy capacity is 624wh (watt hours), so if you were consuming 20wh per mile, your range would be 31 miles. My friend owns one of these bikes and gets an average range of around 40-50 miles.

This is a rugged bike built for the road less travelled:  This is an excellent bike for weekend adventures on trails and gravel tracks. The Suntour XCT front forks have 100mm of travel, which is more than adequate for light off-road riding, and the excellent Schwalbe Smart Sam all-terrain tyres provide grip where it’s needed. The gel saddle is comfortable enough, and the Velo ergonomic handlebar grips not only look great but feel great too!  Gearing is the dependable Shimano Altus 21-speed, and all the gears are indexed perfectly as expected.

Multi-function LCD : The Das-Kit LCD gives you all the information you would expect, including journey time and mileage. It also has 6 power levels of pedal assist, so you can fine-tune the power output to suit your needs.

Excellent build quality:  One thing that has always impressed me with NCM Electric bikes is the consistency of the build quality. The NCM Moscow is no exception. It looks great, but there is no compromise on functionality and safety.  The Tektro mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors provide predictable braking and the brake levers incorporate motor cut-off switches to ensure safe riding.

The NCM Moscow electric bike offers exceptional value for money. I have tested NCM’s other bikes and this one is no exception. They all offer a lot for the price. The specification is excellent and it is good to see a 48v battery fitted to a 250w bike. This battery is the same capacity as the Milano I reviewed previously and a realistic range of between 30-45 miles, or 31 miles using the 20wh per mile calculation, should be expected. The claimed range of 75 miles may be a little optimistic for everyday use – but it depends on how much you use the electric assist.

The Tektro Mechanical disc brakes provide adequate and predictable stopping power, while the Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres will provide sure-footed grip on a variety of surfaces, as well as a reasonable amount of puncture protection.

It is good to see an integrated battery pack on an e-bike of this price, it does finish the bike off nicely.

As far as electric mountain bikes go, the NCM Moscow is excellent. Not only is it well-made, but it has a decent battery and an excellent motor.

I serviced one of these for a customer last Summer and had to take it for a short test ride.  I was impressed with the way the small motor effortlessly handled the steep Cornish hills. The beefy 29er tyres handled the potholes and bumps of the back lanes with ease.

I had previously ridden the Milano model and there are a lot of obvious similarities. The Milano is made with the daily commuter in mind, whereas the Moscow is geared more toward the recreational rider, who will be venturing off-road more often. If I had to choose between the two, I would go for the Moscow, simply because it has that ‘go anywhere’ feel, and if you decided to use it as an everyday commuter bike, there are provisions to fit mudguards and a rack.

As with all the other NCM bikes I have reviewed, I rate this bike. It has to be the best-value electric mountain bike on the market at the moment.

The great thing about this bike is that the build quality is excellent. It feels very rugged and durable, although I would err on the side of caution when taking it off the beaten track. It is not a high-end mountain bike and isn’t designed to take the rigours of extreme downhill riding. The suspension forks are fine for rough surfaces and a few small potholes, but nothing too harsh like rocks and logs.

If you are in the market for an affordable off-road e-bike, then this ticks all the right boxes.

Déjà fait avec VAE à 1000 eur et sa batterie de 500 W pour comparer. La batterie m’avait ramené alors pile à la maison, mais tout juste vidée (donc 55 km et 1000 m). Malheureusement, aujourd’hui, la batterie de mon tout beau tout neuf NCM moscow 1ere génération m’a laché au bout de 32 km, 500 m avant le col. J’ai fait le retour au molet (heureusemnt 90% de descente au retour). Donc 6 barres de batterie au départ, 5 au bout de 12 km, 4 à 20 km, 3, puis 2 barres en qq km seulement. Les 2 barres restantes ont tenus les 5 derniers km. Pour moi, pas normal du tout. Je pèse 65 kgs et j’ai sollicité modérément l’assistance : essentiellement vitesse 2 et 3 dans les cotes. J’ai sollicité le sav Decathlon aujourd’hui et j’attends sa réponse. Donc difficile de noter ce vélo en l’état des choses, car par ailleurs, il possède qq atouts : solidité apparente, confort (j’ai qd meme mis une selle confort), prix, look, poignée confort, béquille et sonnette rigolote (mais ça, c’est pas cher à rajouter), mais aussi qq défauts : poids lourds 27 kgs, dérailleurs avt et arrière déréglés (pas si grave), disque avt très légèrement voilé (frotement), grincement du frein avant (sur 10 kms de descente, ça saoule), pneu ultra fin. J’ai eu le bonheur de créver à l’arrière (pas de pot qd même !), réparation sans pb, mais j’ai alors constaté la finesse de l’épaisseur du caoutchouc des pneus. Une simple epine l’avait traversé. Mais bon, il semblerait que c’est de la bonne marque. Il manque réellement sur le web de vrai test sur la durée, en particulier sur l’autonomie réelle d’un VAE. Pour moi, sauf si le sav me confirme qu’il y a problème et remplace ma batterie, je ne recommande pas ce VAE pour de la rando de 50 Km, au risque de rentrer avec les mollets, sauf si plat.

Hello, Je rentre de ma 1ere vraie sortie avec le NCM Moscow 1ere génération (blanc 26″, 48V 13 Ah). 55 km – 1000 m de dénivelé – Mon poids plume : 65 Kgs – Niveau d’assistance utilisé : modéré. Points – : – Niveau de batterie peu fiable. 1 barre en moins au bout de 15 km – 2eme barre à 20 km – 3 et 4 eme barre entre 25 et 30 km (!) – Les 2 dernières barres sont tombés ensemble à 32 km, en haut du sommet. J’ai fait le retour sans batterie, et c’est dur. J’ai signalé à Decathlon, qui j’espère fera le nécessaire auprès de Leon Cycles. – Tous les réglages sont à reprendre : freins, dérailleurs. Mais bon, ça, c’est rien. – 1ère sortie, 1 ére crevaison, à l’arrière. J’ai pu réparer sans problème sans démonter la roue. Juste sortir la chambre à air roue montée et repérer le trou. Mais ça m’a donné l’occasion de constater que les pneus sont ultra fins (pourtant vtt). Une simple petite épine à traverser le pneu. On va dire pas de chance.

Points + : le confort est là. je mets pour le moment 3/10 pour la fiabilité. Si une nouvelle batterie règle le problème, j’aurai tendance à noter 7/10. A voir dans le temps.

I’ve seen the Topeak MTX Beam rack fitted to the Moscow. It clamps on to the seat post and is a good quality rack.

Le NCM Moscou a une tige de selle de 30,9 mm. La meilleure tige de selle à suspension est la Suntour SP-12 NCX .

I got my Moscow Plus last September and yesterday took it out for my 20th weekly ride from San Francisco across the bridge into the Marin Headlands, usually just over a 33 mile ride. I’m 71 and it is a work out but I don’t ride to work out. I ride to get out into nature. The seat crumbed under me within two months of getting it but some duct take fixed it perfectly. The fixture that has the key slot to use to fit in the battery came loose when I had a flat tire fixed but aside from being loose when the battery is not in it, still works perfectly. The tires handle the sharp rocks on some of the trails. The gas throttle, the bike’s gas pump, is dangerous at first. I learned to turn off the power before taking the bike down stair ramps and before wheeling it into my basement. The bike jumps out of your hands if you touch that throttle while your standing on the ground. Had a bad accident last November on a steep incline when I grabbed the handlebar to stop the bike sliding away under me and it shot off when I accidentally touched the throttle. Me, the bike and my iPad all fell and shattered in different directions. The rear derailleur was jammed into the back wheel so the wheels wouldn’t turn and I didn’t have a tool on me miles away from civilization. But 10 minutes later another cyclist with a mini tool saved the day. So carry that sack of tools they send to assemble the bike when you ride it. You never know when you’ll need them. Sharp turns are almost impossible for me on this bike but wow I love it!!! I can cycle up and down trails till the cows come home. Trails I never could cycle up before. Love that! A super great buy and I’m so glad I got it. And they had super great customer service to help me learn how to use the charger. Did I mention I’d never used an ebike before?

Bought my new Moscow bike from Amazon but not long before I had problems with coffee grinder noise and serious vibration, found the cable from the controller to the back wheel had been routed too close to the drive sprocket and had chafed through causing broken wires and short circuits. Leon cycles Germany took the wheel back, but no better, a new controller followed, no better, they then told me I needed a new back wheel and motor, or a rebuilt motor, but due to Brexit they could not help any more. I now have a bike which will run perfectly when running but can take 20+ attempts to get started without grating and vibrating. Can anybody help?

I know this is an old review but I thought I’d ask my question anyway. If it get a reply, good; if not, that’s OK too. I bought a Moscow Plus late in 2020. It’s worked out very well for me. Now that I’ve owned it for a while and gotten the feel of it I’ve worked my riding stamina up to where I’m ready to ride farther and farther out. I love to fish so at some point I hope to make the trek to my nearest trout fishing stream which is approximately 30 or so miles one way. The terrain to get there is generally flat ground with one long stretch of about a mile and a half being a good downhill grade.

For an earth-bound bike rider that’s as close to flying as I’m ever going to get but, I temper that with the knowledge that on the way back I’ll have to hump it a bit to get back up that hill.

All of that to ask; Has anyone that you know of ever ridden their Moscow Plus starting with a full charge, on battery power alone to see exactly how far it would take them on generally flat terrain?

I plan on purchasing a spare OEM battery latter on this year so I won’t be able to do this battery endurance test until I have that spare battery to get me back home. In the mean time I just though I’d ask if anyone has already done this type of test. I could save me the trouble of doing it myself.

Buying a new battery, if you can find one is £500.00 plus a bit, so if I were you I would stay close to home and do circuits for for a couple of hours at a time until the battery runs out of power, then walk back home using the walk mode ( there should be enough left in the battery to do that).
