Taylor Swift ‘s The Eras Tour is taking over Europe ! After releasing her new album, The Tortured Poets Department , in April; dropping the Eras Tour movie on Disney+ in March; and taking her heavily anticipated tour to Australia and Asia , the singer is on the European leg of the tour.

Trending on Billboard

Swift kicked off at the European leg at Paris La Defense Arena in Nanterre, France, on May 9.

The “Anti-Hero” singer will return to North America to perform in the U.S. and Canada — including New Orleans, Toronto and Miami — beginning this fall . Swifties got a chance to score presale tickets through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program last summer .

Swiftie Forever: The Cutest Taylor-Swift Inspired Necklaces Available on Amazon

The Eras Tour , Swift’s first tour in five years, was announced in November 2022. Presale tickets for the tour went on sale via Ticketmaster that month. Another batch of presale tickets for her 2024 tour stops in Vancouver and new tickets for Australia and Sweden went on sale late last year.

Swift partnered with Capital One on exclusive tickets available for Capital One cardholders. As can be expected, passes to see Swift live remain one of the hottest concert tickets on the market, so we’re breaking down what you need to know so you can secure a seat.

See below for information on how to get last-minute tickets to international stops on Swift’s Eras Tour. Check out the new list of tour dates here .

How Much Do Last-Minute Eras Tour Tickets Cost?

Resale tickets for The Eras Tour are currently available online for concerts in Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Spain and other locations.

How much are last-minute tickets? There’s more than one way to score Eras Tour tickets, but expect to spend at least a few hundred bucks on a ticket, depending on the seats and date of the show.

Swift is slated to perform at Principality Stadium on Tuesday, June 18 . Tickets are scarce and selling fast — especially in the last hour (more than 26,000 people were looking at tickets when we last checked). The Eras Tour has stopped in Spain, Sweden, Portugal and Japan and will continue to Germany, Austria, Poland, the U.K. and more countries before circling back to the U.S.

Tickets for the North American leg are currently available at StubHub , Vivid Seats and Seat Geek , although pricing ranges from around $600 and up, most of the tickets are around $700-$800+ at StubHub . For fans who want to catch Swift’s opening night in Miami on October 18 , tickets prices are currently spiking to more than $2,100 .

Looking for the cheapest tickets ? Searching different sites will give you a better chance of landing tickets at a lower price point, but we did some of the digging for you.

At press time, tickets to the shows in Germany start at around $373 , although some of the in-demand tickets are priced above $1,000 at StubHub , which is around the same prices that you might find on sites such as Ticketsmarter . To score a discount, use code BB2024 and save $20 off purchases of $200 or more at Vivid Seats .

The Eras Tour is a celebration of all 10 of the studio albums Swift has released since 2006. The massively successful tour has raked in over $1 billion . But with the launch of a new album era, Swift has been incorporating Tortured Poets into the tour for a section dubbed, “Female Rage: The Musical.”

“I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time. I’ve been planning for ages and I finally get to tell you: I’m going back on tour,” Swift said on  GMA , announcing the news. “The tour is called the Eras tour and it’s a journey through all of the musical eras of my career.”

How much are tickets to see Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium in London and are there any left?

There’s still a chance to snap up some Eras Tour tickets for Wembley this weekend

Amy Houghton

In only a matter of days, the world’s biggest popstar is landing in London . Last summer, tens of thousands of UK Swifties scrambled to get their hands on tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour . And while many celebrated success, many others were left bitterly disappointed.

If you’re part of the latter group, you’re probably experienced some severe FOMO right now. All hope is not lost though. If you’re dedicated enough, there is a chance you could still see Taylor live at Wembley. Here’s how.

How much are tickets to see Taylor Swift’s Era tour at Wembley?

When t ickets first went live, they ranged from around £59 (for partial or obstructed view tickets) to £110 for general admission standing. Front standing was priced at about £172, while seated tickets went up to  £194.

For VIP packages the prices apparently went all the way up to a hefty £662.40 per person.

Are there any tickets left?

Tickets for the Eras Tour UK sold out in minutes in 2023. So no, there are none left at face value for this week’s run of London shows or her Wembley dates in August.

You can still get involved in Swiftmania, though. There’s going to be loads of Eras-themed events happening across London while Taylor’s in town.

What about resale tickets?

Not ready to give up on the Eras Tour yet? There are tickets being resold over on resale sites like Viagogo or Vivid Seats . But be prepared to pay a pretty penny.

Right now the tickets on Viagogo are starting at £530 each for a restricted view seat while over on Vivid Seats they start at £557, going all the way up to a whopping £4,592 for lower level seating.

Beware, though. Buying resale tickets comes with some risk and tickets could be voided if they were bought secondhand via a third party. However, Viagogo said: ‘Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee.’

Keep an eye on Ticketmaster  if you’re after secondhand tickets with less risk.

Taylor Swift fans have been able to snap up the first wave of presale tickets for the UK and European leg of Taylor Swifts Eras tour this week.

The pop megastar is bringing her Eras Tour to the UK in 2024 and had announced 13 dates and will be performing in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, and London. The Anti-Hero singer kicked off the US leg of her tour in March with a huge performance in Arizona. She has also confirmed dates across Mexico, Argentina and Brazil earlier this month.

On Monday a first wave of presale tickets for shows at Edinburgh, BT Murrayfield Stadium and London's Wembley Stadium went on sale. On Tuesday tickets for Liverpool Anfield Stadium and Wembley Stadium were listed.

And on Wednesday more tickets for Wembley are set to go on sale with presale also starting for the Cardiff, Principality Stadium concert.

Only those who participated in the Taylor Swift UK store Midnights album pre-order offer between Monday 29 August and Thursday 27 October are able to access pre-sale tickets for her UK and Ireland shows.

Ticket prices shared on social media for London Wembley indicate that both presale Left and Right Front Standing are priced at £172.25 each for the Friday, 21 June, 2024 gig. Meanwhile, a presale General Admission Standing is priced at £110.40.

Seated tickets, including side view seats and partially obstructed limited view, are proving to be considerably cheaper, and start at £58.65 and go up to £194.75 each.

For those planning on splashing out for the VIP packages, the Its Been A Long Time Coming Package comes in at a staggering £662.40 each, while Karma Is My Boyfriend is priced at £387.40 and I Remember It All Too Well Package at £332.40. The Ready for It Package is priced a £277.40, It's A Love Story package is £222.40 and We Never Go Out Of Style is £196.60.

The above is for London Wembley. For Edinburgh Left and Right Front Standing are priced at £171.25 each for the Friday, 7 June, 2024 gig. Meanwhile, a presale General Admission Standing is priced at £109.40. Seated tickets, which are staggered over a number of levels, range from £86.90 to £182.50.

Liverpool prices are: General Admission Standing £143.40, PL2 Seats £143.40, PL3 Seats Side View £109.65, and PL5 Seats £57.90.

VIP packages for Liverpool Anfield are priced at: It’s Been A Long Time Coming Package: £661.65, Karma is my Boyfriend Package: £387, I Remember It All Too Well Package: £331.65, Ready for It Package: £305.25, It's A Love Story package: £276.65 and We Never Go Out Of Style Package: £221.65.

By comparison, last month when Swift confirmed the UK leg of her showstopping tour, eagle-eyed fans believe they had figured out how much tickets could be priced at when they are available to purchase. By estimating how much tickets have sold for in the USA, and looking at similar shows here in the UK, fans came up with a map they believed would closely reflect the pricing of the show in Liverpool .

Posted on the Swifters 2.0 fan group on Facebook, the map suggested prices could start at around £49 for 'side view' seats towards the back of the stage. Some side view seats were also expected to be on sale for around the £75 mark. It was thought better seats in the house could be going for anywhere between £95 - £160, while those looking to stand they estimated would be £95 a ticket.

From 1pm, fans can try for the June 8 Edinburgh date and the August 15 London date, and from 3pm presale tickets go live for June 9 in Edinburgh.

When do the UK pre-sale tickets go on sale?

The rest of the UK presales go live as follows...

  • June 13 - Liverpool, Anfield Stadium (Presale at 11am on Tuesday, July 11)
  • June 14 - Liverpool, Anfield Stadium (Presale at 1pm on Tuesday, July 11)
  • June 15 - Liverpool, Anfield Stadium (Presale at 3pm on Tuesday, July 11)

Taylor Swift sings while playing guitar.

London loves Taylor Swift .

Over the course of the summer, the 34-year-old singer has booked eight (!) ‘Eras Tour’ gigs with Paramore at The Square Mile’s Wembley Stadium .

Her eight-show residency at the 90,000-seat venue kicks off Friday, June 21 . After that, she’ll play two more shows at Wembley on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23 before taking a two-month hiatus and returning to London in mid-August.

In any event, if you want to see Taylor this week, it isn’t too late to pick up last-minute tickets.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for her June 21-23 shows was $559 USD before fees on Vivid Seats.

While that may sound expensive when you factor in that London ticket prices started at $719 when we last checked in on concert costs after the release of “The Tortured Poet’s Department,” it appears Swifties who waited to secure seats until the eleventh hour just might make out like bandits.

Need to see Swift live at Wembley this weekend?

For more information, we’ve got everything you need to know and more about Taylor Swift’s three ‘Eras Tour’ concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ news

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely over the past year.

Over the past few months, we spoke to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live, reported on  dropping ticket prices , and  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends .

Taylor Swift new music

Swift’s  “The Tortured Poets Department”  was released at midnight (and subsequently at 2 a.m.) on Friday, April 19.

While every listener will likely come away with their own favorites, we particularly enjoyed the sleek, synthy “Fortnight,” icy “So Long, London,” anthemic “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” a bombastic slow build of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and gorgeously arranged “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.”

If you want to give it a spin — if you haven’t already, that is — you can find “The Tortured Poets Department”  here .

The Hayley Williams-fronted pop-punk rockers are opening for Swift from May through August this year. This may come as a bit of a surprise to some fans considering that the group mounted a successful arena tour of their own in 2023.

That tour came on the heels of Paramore’s 2022 reunion; Prior to that, the band had been on a five-year hiatus.

For fans who want to check out their latest, their 2023 album “This Is Why” can be heard  here .

Huge stars on tour in 2024

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (sometimes more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable — likely stateside — concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

•  Olivia Rodrigo

•  Kacey Musgraves

•  Pink

•  Gracie Abrams

•  Billie Eilish

Who else is on the road this year? Check out our list of the  50 biggest concert tours in 2024  to find out.

Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, first night at Wembley Stadium – as it happened

It was certainly a long time coming, but Taylor Swift’s first headline show in London for eight years was a night to remember.

Eras, her colossal, career-spanning, record-breaking juggernaut of a tour, attracted a swathe of VIP guests to Wembley Stadium: from boyfriend Travis Kelce to actresses Rosamund Pike and Nicola Coughlan, model Cara Delevingne and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer. The Prince of Wales even decided to celebrate his birthday at the show with his children.

The capital welcomed the 34-year-old US superstar with a themed Tube map, a special performance of Shake It Off during the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace and, in typical British fashion, a spot of rain.

Highlights of the set ranged from the surprise song section – when Swift sang medleys of Hits Different, Death By A Thousand Cuts, The Black Dog (the first time it has ever been performed live), Come Back Be Here and Maroon – to the crowd’s inventive costumes and a fair few romantic proposals.

With seven nights left at Wembley (Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June, then five nights from August 15), Swift’s remarkable, career-crowning show has hundreds of thousands of fans left to delight.

Read Alice Vincent’s five-star review from Wembley: ‘An explosion of raw feeling’

To find out what to expect from the Eras tour, read our breakdown of the first night at Wembley below

10:44 PM BST

And that’s it – karma is the final song.

Swift has broken into Karma, a jubilant, infectiously upbeat highlight of Midnights that closes out the show.

With boyfriend Travis Kelce watching proudly from the VIP tent, it’s only right that Swift did her trademark lyric switch to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs / Coming straight home to me”.

Wearing a sparkly, rainbow-hued tassel jacket, Swift makes her way down the long runway at Wembley Stadium with her hordes of backing dancers behind her, preparing to bow out from another massive success of a show. Viva la Eras, indeed.

10:37 PM BST

Zeus has nothing on swift.

Never mind the fact the weather has been glorious in London today – as the singer started performing Midnight Rain, the heavens literally opened.

Alice Vincent writes: “We all thought it was a stage stunt! But nope.”

10:27 PM BST

Taylor, you’ll be fine....

Even if it is the beginning of the end, as Swift is in the midst of her Midnights set – the closing section of the Eras tour.

Midnights won her a record fourth Grammy for Album of the Year, so it’s evidently a record that’s close to her heart.

10:21 PM BST

A surprise song round-up.

So, in order, the acoustic part of the set featured:

  • Hits Different/Death By A Thousand Cuts
  • The Black Dog/Come Back Be Here/Maroon

10:15 PM BST

Second surprise songs: the black dog/come back be here/maroon.

And I was right (check 10.06pm if you don’t believe me)!

Swift kicks off the piano section with The Black Dog, a ballad from The Tortured Poets Department inspired by a pub in Vauxhall , south London, after declaring she’s “never played this one live before”.

Then she goes into Come Back Be Here, another London-inspired ballad (one of her all-time best), this time from Red.

And wait – another one! She adds Maroon, from Midnights, into the medley-mix.

10:08 PM BST

First surprise songs: hits different/death by a thousand cuts.

First up, Swift performs a mashup of Hits Different, a bonus track from Swift’s 2022 album, Midnights, and Death By A Thousand Cuts, from 2019’s Lover. She chose the songs because they are her “two favourite bridges”.

Alice Vincent describes the mood in the audience: “Everyone is GAGGING. Everyone singing along to Hits Different has made the stadium suddenly feel very intimate and special; a gorgeous hark back to the acoustic part of her past tours.”

10:06 PM BST

It’s surprise song o’clock.

The most hotly anticipated section of any Eras show, the ‘surprise songs’ or acoustic segment sees Swift perform a medley of tracks from across her 11 studio albums and 18 years in the music industry.

Will she prove the fans right and sing London Boy, or save it for the final Wembley show on 20 August? My money’s on The Black Dog or Tim McGraw...

10:03 PM BST

This one’s for you, matty healy.

When Swift released The Tortured Poets Department in March, fans couldn’t believe the majority of its songs seemed to be dedicated to Matty Healy, the controversial frontman of indie band The 1975, who Swift dated fleetingly in 2023 (rather than Joe Alwyn, who she was in a relationship with for six years).

It’s a dedication continued tonight, writes Liam Kelly : “It’s amusing that she has picked a dancer for Fortnight and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived who bears more than a passing resemblance to Healy”.

Alice Vincent shouts out the entire TTPD section, writing: “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived were amazingly delivered, choreographed so creatively.”

09:49 PM BST

All rise for the tortured poets department.

Swift’s latest album, released to mixed reviews in March, now features heavily in the set, with seven tracks making the cut (But Daddy I Love Him, So High School, Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?, Down Bad, Fortnight, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart).

Her outfits for the Era range from a custom Vivienne Westwood white gown to a military jacket and circus outfit, and is arguably – regardless of your thoughts on the album itself – one of the set’s most inventive sections.

Alice Vincent writes from the crowd: “Some genius has brought a baby doll along to wave aloft to But Daddy I Love Him (when Swift sings “I’m having his baby / No I’m not / But you should see your faces”).

09:42 PM BST

Easter egg alert.

Swift is as well known for the mischievous Easter eggs (i.e. clues) she hides within her songs , outfits and promotional material as she is for her addictively emotional songs.

And the latest egg getting fans excited at Wembley is the fact that, exactly 2190 days ago (in 2018), Swift was performing at Wembley as part of the Reputation tour – with the same number, 2190, featuring in Glitch, a song from 2022’s Midnights.

On Glitch, she sings: “But it’s been two thousand one hundred and 90 days of our love blackout”.

Could it mean she’s set to announce the rerecorded ‘Taylor’s Version’ of Reputation after all, or could it just be wishful thinking from fans? Either way, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt from following Swift for almost two decades, it’s that nothing is ever accidental.

09:38 PM BST

The 1989 era gets the party started.

Her most commercially successful album, and arguably most critically acclaimed, 1989 spawned various hits for Swift, including Shake It Off, Blank Space and Style.

It’s undoubtedly her most fun, party-ready album, making reports from Wembley that the floor section of the crowd has turned into a giant dancefloor, fans decked out in wristbands flashing orange and blue to mirror her outfit, unsurprising.

09:29 PM BST

What election keir starmer makes a swift stop at wembley.

With just two weeks to go until Britain heads to the polls, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has given himself a night off from campaigning to be Prime Minister.

Sir Keir shared a picture of himself at Wembley tonight with his wife, Victoria, on X.

The question is: did he decide to toe the party line and embrace its signature colour by singing loudest to the Red era?

09:12 PM BST

Could eras trigger the richter scale.

In Edinburgh at the start of the UK leg, Swifties literally made the earth move by cheering and dancing so loud, with monitoring stations detecting seismic activity from 6km away from Murrayfield Stadium.

But, says Liam , London could be taking it one step further, as almost 90,000 fans give Swift a deafening, prolonged standing ovation during Champagne Problems.

And her decision to take her earpiece out to hear the crowd has somehow made them ramp up the volume.

Pity the poor parents going home with blasted-out eardrums tonight.

09:08 PM BST

Swift has stopped the set four times to help sick fans.

It has become a common occurrence at pop gigs: large numbers of fans fainting in the crowd and having to be pulled out by security.

The rise in popularity of queuing for hours (or even days) before a gig is probably the main reason, with tonight’s show taking place after a particularly warm day in London; fans who haven’t hydrated or eaten enough could have found themselves faltering.

Alice Vincent and Liam Kelly report that multiple people have fainted at tonight’s show, with Swift having interrupted her set four times thus far to get security to intervene.

The security onsite are responding well, however, writes Alice, by helping those who need assistance and handing out free bottles of water.

08:50 PM BST

Time to tone it down a notch (for now).

Swift is currently performing songs from her Folklore and Evermore albums, which she wrote and released during the pandemic.

The product of her work with The National’s Aaron Dessner and regular producer Jack Antonoff, both albums marked a tonal switch for Swift, from the pure pop she’d embraced (after giving up country) on Red and 1989 to folk-tinged indie.

Slower and more melodic, one imagines the sweaty Swifties are relishing the opportunity to sit down and have a sip of water... or not.

08:45 PM BST

‘taylor’s got us clinging on every word’.

A mid-show report from Alice Vincent : “Huge ricochet through emotions here – all tears and confetti snow flurries for All Too Well; romance and swooning for Enchanted immediately after and then straight into Reputation-era Ready For It.

We absolutely are not – Taylor’s got us clinging onto every word; we’re all going to be gleefully wrung out by the end of this. She also doesn’t show a single sign of weariness; the vocals are flawless, her dance moves precise; she’s literally skipping up and down the stage in heels.”

08:41 PM BST

All the stars spotted so far.

It’s the hottest ticket of the summer – forget the Euros, Glastonbury or Wimbledon – so it makes sense that Swift’s Eras tour has attracted a range of VIP guests.

In London tonight, our journalists on the ground have spotted:

  • Travis and Jason Kelce
  • Cara Delevingne
  • Nicola Coughlan
  • Jonathan Van Ness
  • Keir Starmer, with his wife Victoria

08:36 PM BST

Swift has entered her reputation era.

But only time will tell if she chooses tonight’s opening show in London to announce her rerecording (known as her ‘Taylor’s Versions’) of the 2017 album.

One part revenge record (penned for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian following their public feud with the star), one part love letter (to ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn), Reputation is also firmly rooted in her time spent living in the capital, meaning it makes sense to announce its release here.

Swift has released four rerecorded albums thus far – Fearless, Red, Speak Now and 1989. She decided to rerecord her earlier albums so she could own the rights to her masters, after a legal battle with her former record label, Big Machine Records, and manager Scooter Braun.

08:28 PM BST

She’s enchanted to meet you.

Or something like that. For Enchanted, the sole song from her 2010 album Speak Now, Swift appeared on stage in a fairytale-like lilac gown adorned with embellished flowers.

Fans are still furious that Swift removed Long Live – the second part of the Speak Now section and a particular favourite – from the setlist, but what’s a girl to do when she keeps releasing new albums whose material needs to get a look-in?

08:22 PM BST

Swiftie jen shows off her handmade blanket.

Jen Neal, from Wiltshire, spent 500 hours making a crochet blanket in the image of Swift’s Eras tour poster. Here she is talking about why she took on the challenge, and her love for the singer.

08:17 PM BST

Jason kelce, brother-in-law of the year.

I’ve just caught a glimpse of Jason Kelce, Travis’s brother and fellow NFL star. He has an ungodly amount of Swiftian friendship bracelets on his meaty forearm, almost to his elbow. He’s even wearing them on each ear.

What a good brother-in-law(ish).

08:13 PM BST

From kcl su to wembley stadium.

Still overwhelmed by the size and excitement of the crowd, Swift is getting a lot of love for talking about how her first gig in the UK was at King’s College Student Union.

Tickets for that gig cost around £8 – quite a difference from the £70 average (rising to around £500 for VIP packages) for the Eras tour.

08:09 PM BST

Swift paints the town red.

By entering her Red era, themed around the 2012 commercial smash-hit album that signified her crossover from country to pure pop.

Each night, Swift’s personal team handpick a lucky member of the crowd to come to the foot of the stage and accept the black fedora she wears during 22.

Meanwhile, during We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, her dancer, Kam, yells a local phrase as part of the song. In London tonight, he opted for “Why don’t you just bog off!”

How very Tracy Beaker of him.

08:04 PM BST

And we have our first proposal.

Well, the first one spotted by a Telegraph journalist, anyway.

Music Editor Eleanor Halls is also at Wembley tonight, and just saw one happy couple’s special moment, writing: “Is it even a Taylor concert without a proposal during Love Story? Just as Swift sang “you knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring / And said marry me, Juliet” a young man in Block J, with front row seats, did just that. Luckily she said yes.”

07:53 PM BST

Cara delevingne ‘skips in’ to the vip tent.

Fresh from her successful stint in the lead role of Sally Bowles in Cabaret on the West End, Swift’s close friend, the supermodel Cara Delevingne, has arrived at the show.

Liam Kelly says the London native literally skipped into the VIP tent during You Belong With Me.

Elsewhere, Alice Vincent has spotted Travis Kelce having the time of his life singing along to Love Story. Let’s hope their version of Romeo and Juliet has a happier ending...

07:50 PM BST

It’s a love story – swift kicks off her fearless era.

Fearless, the country-pop album that won Swift her first Grammy award aged just 20, is also arguably the album that made her a star.

Including hits such as Love Story and You Belong With Me, it’s Swift at her best: playful, lyrically imaginative and armed with her best weapon – her guitar.

07:40 PM BST

Swift praises the ‘most exhilarating city’ in the world.

Swift is currently in the opening segment of the Eras tour, revolved around her 2019 album Lover.

Many of the songs are love songs penned for her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, the British actor who she lived with in North London for a time.

There doesn’t seem to be any hard feelings, though, with Swift asking the crowd: “What better way to spend a Friday night than in the most exhilarating city in the world?”

She also threw in some faux modesty, says Liam Kelly , by saying she’s humbled that 89,000 people chose to kick off their weekends with her. As if these tickets aren’t the hottest in the world right now!

07:32 PM BST

Swift soaks in the crowd.

Swift is stood still soaking it all in, says Liam Kelly .

“Oh my god,” she said to the crowd. “London, look at what you’ve done.”

07:28 PM BST

Another vip arrival: bridgerton’s nicola coughlan.

Sneaking in just as Swift emerged on stage, the Bridgerton actress has joined Travis Kelce in the VIP tent. A good way to avoid being noticed...

Taylor Swift has taken to the stage

Are you Ready For It, Wembley?

Tens of thousands of screams suggest so...

07:25 PM BST

Travis kelce has officially arrived.

Swift’s NFL beau has been spotted going into the VIP tent, writes Liam Kelly .

He got as loud a roar as the countdown clock to Swift’s performance – and rewarded fans with a big thumbs up.

07:24 PM BST

Can the crowd get any louder.

Asks Liam Kelly . Stood in the crowd at Wembley, Swift is only minutes away from appearing on stage, with a huge roar greeting the appearance of the countdown clock on stage.

07:21 PM BST

It’s almost time.

As I wrote in this mega-guide to all the secret parts and clues of the Eras tour, Swift typically comes on stage shortly after the following songs have played: Lady Gaga’s Applause and Lesley Gore’s You Don’t Own Me.

Gaga’s hit is playing right now, so it’s only a matter of minutes until the countdown clock appears, giving way to Swift entering her Lover era – with opening song Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince – to kick the show off.

07:13 PM BST

The prince of wales is reportedly attending tonight’s show.

Reports on social media are suggesting that the Prince of Wales will be present at tonight’s show with his children.

They will be seated in a private suite, away from members of the public, but we’ll wait and see if the Royal Family’s official photographers share any updates.

It also happens to be Prince William’s birthday today – what better way to turn 42 than by dancing along to Shake It Off or Blank Space?

06:58 PM BST

First celebrity spotting of the night: jason kelce.

The former Philadelphia Eagles player and brother of Travis Kelce – Swift’s boyfriend, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs – has been spotted by Alice Vincent arriving at Wembley for the show with friends and family, suggesting Travis won’t be far behind.

06:43 PM BST

Excitement reaches fever pitch, 06:39 pm bst, paramore get the crowd rockin’.

With their hit song Misery Business, taken from 2007 album Riot!

The band stopped playing the track for a few years because of its “problematic” lyrics, in which Hayley Williams takes down a love rival with the brutal line “Once a wh--e, you’re nothing more!”

However, Swift – who has been friends with Williams since the pair were in their early teens and starting their careers in Nashville – personally requested the song be added back to the Eras setlist, and here it is!

06:31 PM BST

Paramore’s frontwoman goes full blondie.

Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, is having a ball on stage at Wembley, writes Alice Vincent .

Looking like a millennial Debbie Harry in a one-strapped vest, mesh pants and massive boots, paired with a bleach blonde shaggy mullet, the Grammy-winner is sweetly talking about how special it feels to be playing at London’s flagship stadium tonight.

06:20 PM BST

Not even a 20hr flight can deter this swiftie.

The dedication of Swifties is something to behold. Emma Curley, a nurse from Adelaide, Australia, saw Swift when she played in Melbourne earlier in the tour – but has come all the way to London to get another taste.

“I applied for annual leave as soon as the dates were announced to plan the trip,” the 26-year-old says. “I know that she’s changed the set list since Melbourne and I’m so excited to see it.”

06:11 PM BST

Ain’t it fun paramore take to the stage.

The primary support act of the UK and Europe leg of the Eras tour, emo-pop band Paramore have taken to the stage at Wembley.

Led by frontwoman Hayley Williams, who has swapped her typical flaming orange locks for a cropped blonde style, the crowd can expect a run through of their biggest hits, from The Only Exception to Misery Business – and their terrific cover of Talking Heads’ Burning Down the House.

06:08 PM BST

Thought getting tickets was hard try the toilets.

The largely female crowd at Wembley has convinced staff to turn a number of male toilets into ladies loos for one night only, writes Alice Vincent from inside the stadium.

Though this means shorter queues (and less chance of missing the start of Paramore’s opening set), it has resulted in a funny development: hundreds of women trying to use a urinal.

Luckily, adds Alice, a lot of people present won’t be needing to run off to the loo during the set itself, because hardly anybody is drinking alcohol. She says the bar queues are among the shortest she’s ever seen.

06:04 PM BST

Even tfl gets in on the action.

London’s Underground network has welcomed Swift and her Swifties with welcome arms, redesigning the Tube map to feature the singer’s favourite sports around the city.

05:56 PM BST

It’s me, hi: fans queue for selfies with swift’s mural.

This mural has popped up for the occasion, and with everything in Wembley at present, there is a queue to take photos with it.

05:50 PM BST

Swift’s always loved a union jack.

Back in 2013, Swift delighted the audience at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York when she appeared on the catwalk wearing a Union Jack-print mini dress and matching top hat.

Performing with pop-punk band Fall Out Boy, Swift sashayed down the runway looking every bit at home in the red, white and blue.

Now, two fans at Wembley have put their best foot forward for the Best Dressed crown in remakes of the outfit.

05:38 PM BST

Mette opens the show.

The first support act of the night, Minnesota-born singer METTE, who was named by Spotify as one of its Pop Rising Artists for 2024, has taken to the stage at Wembley Stadium.

She will be followed by rock-pop band Paramore, before Swift begins her main performance at around 7.30pm.

05:25 PM BST

‘so make the friendship bracelets’.

Sang Swift in You’re On Your Own, Kid, a tender ballad from 2022’s Grammy-winning album Midnights.

Before the song was released, capturing the imagination of millions of Swifties around the globe, these colourful plastic bracelets were reserved for children’s parties and craft kits.

Today, however, friendship bracelets have become a key element of the Swift – and Eras tour – experience, with fans spending hours creating elaborate designs themed around her songs, secret messages and quotes.

They then share the bracelets with one another before and during the concert, making new friends in the process. It’s an experience typical of a Swift gig: supportive and loving – and non-judgemental.

05:08 PM BST

Don’t forget your cowboy hats and glitter.

I’ve been spotting Swifties since I reached Victoria at 3pm: the tell-tale T shirts, yes, but also the cowboy boots and glittery dresses and, on the Jubilee train headed west to Wembley Park, a woman in a Speak Now-inspired dress of layered gossamer, covered in pastel butterflies which were also threaded through her blonde waves.

04:46 PM BST

Swiftie parents, prepare to splash out.

As well as being a generation-defining popstar, whose tour is the first in history to gross more than $1 billion in ticket sales, Swift is a commercial juggernaut.

A large car park here at Wembley has been given over to become the “official megastore”, flogging T-shirts and hoodies to those who worship at the altar of Taylor.

So popular is Swiftian merch that there’s an elaborate, airport security-style queuing system in place. You have to stand in line for 20 minutes just to get the chance to spend even more money!

04:42 PM BST

I counted days, i counted miles... in crochet.

It’s hard work being a Swiftie. Jen Neal, a crochet teacher from Wiltshire, spent 500 hours across seven months making a blanket version of Swift’s Eras tour poster. Then the superstar gave her even more work to do.

“Two weeks after I finished, she changed the poster,” says 33-year-old Neal. “So I spent another month adding more. I spent six hours yesterday sewing on poppers so you can see both versions.”

It is also expensive. Lauren Hulett, a 21-year-old from Bedford, has spent £996 on tickets for seven gigs in London (tonight and tomorrow), Paris and Milan. “Sorry mum,” she says.

Hulett has also made more than 620 friendship bracelets that she is swapping with her fellow Swifties.

04:36 PM BST

Fans arrive at wembley.

It might be three hours before Swift takes to the stage, but thousands of fans decked out in sparkly outfits and cowboy hats are already descending on Wembley Stadium.

04:30 PM BST

Popstar, icon – and economic powerhouse.

With Swift’s eight shows in London expected to boost the capital’s economy by around £300 million – thanks to fans from around the world buying tickets, booking hotels and public transport and spending big in bars and restaurants – even the Mayor is getting in on the Swiftie spirit.

Sadiq Khan posted a video on X recorded at Wembley Stadium, where he’s seen admiring the special murals and massive on-site merchandise store, as well as meeting excited fans.

04:23 PM BST

Harmony and happiness are the order of the night.

The feeling around Wembley could not be more different than this time three years ago, when it was the site of much loutish behaviour before the European Championship football final. Thanks to Taylor Swift, harmony and happiness reign, writes Liam Kelly from outside the stadium.

Swift is bringing her all-conquering Eras tour to the capital tonight and begins a sequence of six sold-out shows at the national stadium.

Tens of thousands of people – mostly young women decked out in glittery outfits – have been lining the streets around Wembley for hours. Friendship bracelets are being swapped and official merchandise bought ahead of the main event finally kicking off at 7:30pm.

04:16 PM BST

This city is sparkling – london welcomes taylor swift.

Kicking off the evening in style, even the capital’s transport system is getting in the mood for a three-hour extravaganza of Swift’s hits.

Fans arriving at Wembley Stadium via tube were greeted with a special version of the announcement board.

The Taylor Swift Economy Has Landed in Europe

Economists are debating what effect the singer’s sweep through Europe will have this summer as swarms of fans increase demand for hotels and services.

Images of Taylor Swift are projected on a giant screen during a performance.

By Eshe Nelson

Reporting from London

It’s not just Taylor Swift fans keeping a close eye on her Eras Tour dates. One of Europe’s most prominent economists is acutely aware that the singer is spending the summer jetting between Europe’s stadiums.

Philip Lane, the chief economist at the European Central Bank, had the pop star on his mind when he spoke at an event on Monday. The interviewer had asked him about the risk that stubborn inflation in the services sector could intensify, especially with Europe heading into a particularly busy summer with the Olympics in Paris and the Euro 2024 soccer championship in Germany.

“Well, that’s very interesting,” he said at the event . “You managed to say all that without saying Taylor Swift.”

Ms. Swift is touring Europe this summer, bringing in her wake hundreds of thousands of Swifties spending on airfare, hotels, restaurants and friendship bracelets . On Friday, she will perform the first of eight shows at London’s Wembley Stadium; about 700,000 people are expected to see the shows in the British capital. And analysts are debating the economic footprint it will leave.

Economists in the United States know that Eras is an economic tour de force. As consumers splurged on concerts, meals, vacations and other recreational experiences they missed out on during pandemic lockdowns, one company estimated that the tour could generate $4.6 billion in North America alone from spending on tickets, merchandise and travel.

Central bankers are justified in scrutinizing the potential inflationary effects of the arrival of a global superstar: In May last year, when Beyoncé kicked off her Renaissance World Tour in Stockholm, an economist attributed a blip in the inflation data to the singer’s concert, as fans traveled from afar to witness the first show.

Europe’s central banks have started to cut interest rates — or are poised to — as inflation has slowed substantially over the past year, putting their 2 percent target rates within sight. But there are lingering concerns that inflationary pressures have not been stamped out because price gains for services, which include hotels and restaurants, are repeatedly higher than expected.

The demand that the Eras Tour creates for hotel rooms and flights across Europe could push up prices that feed into each country’s inflation rate. Central bankers are sensitive to even minute changes in the data as they try to distinguish one-off effects from lasting ones. If central bankers worry that inflation is not slowing as expected, they could hold off cutting rates.

“All those tiny quirks are going to matter a lot,” said Lucas Krishan, a strategist at TD Securities in London. They can “muddle the picture for central banks heading into these decisions.”

Last month, Portugal’s inflation rate accelerated, in part because of a jump in hotel prices in Lisbon “resulting from a major cultural event,” the country’s statistics office said. Ms. Swift performed in Lisbon on May 24 and 25.

The impact that events like Ms. Swift’s tour have on inflation can be mitigated by how well a country’s economists anticipate the effect of her concerts so investors and others are not surprised by the data. Policymakers at the European Central Bank have said that the path back to 2 percent inflation will be “bumpy” and that a relatively strong tourism season is already baked into their forecasts.

But Mr. Krishan said it was possible that Ms. Swift's concerts in August, when the tour swings back through London, could increase services inflation in Britain, especially because one of her tour dates may coincide with the day that the nation’s statistics agency records price data. If hotel prices follow the pattern set when she played in Liverpool this month, services inflation could rise as much as 0.3 percentage points. Higher-than-expected inflation data in August could encourage Bank of England officials to hold off on cutting rates in September, Mr. Krishan said.

Other analysts are skeptical of Ms. Swift’s ability to have a seismic impact that shows up in national statistics.

“Taylor Swift is unlikely to be affecting central bank policy. She’s unlikely to be affecting government policy,” said George Moran, an economist at Nomura. “And I don’t think it’s a sustainable option for growth in a country to rely on having superstar concerts.”

Barclays predicted that Ms. Swift's tour would lead to a bump of nearly 1 billion pounds ($1.3 billion) in the British economy , but those suggestions are hard to substantiate, Mr. Moran said, because no one knows how much people are diverting their spending from other activities. Even then, £1 billion would not be enough to revitalize Britain’s stagnant economy .

Still, Mr. Moran added that for individual cities and certain sectors, the tour could have a meaningful impact. When tickets went on sale last summer, Airbnb searches in host cities increased more than 300 percent on average, the company said. The Greater London authority estimated that Ms. Swift’s eight London shows would generate £300 million for the economy .

“The impact is going to be more local than macro,” Mr. Moran said. “Taylor Swift is obviously a massive phenomenon, and the areas that she’s visiting is causing a big buzz in the hospitality sector.”

Taylor Swift Eras tour: Cheapest tickets available for Taylor Swift's final UK shows

The Eras tour songstress will return to London in August for a final string of five nights at Wembley Stadium

  • 20:40, 26 JUN 2024

You can still bag tickets for Taylor Swift's final five shows at Wembley Stadium - but they won't come cheap

Demand is soaring to catch Taylor Swift's Eras tour when it returns to Wembley Stadium in August - so here are the cheapest ticket options still available if you haven't yet managed to secure your spot.

After an incredible three opening nights in the capital city last weekend, it is perhaps no wonder that people are clambering to get their hands on tickets for Swift's final five nights at Wembley - and thereby sending prices skyrocketing.

Tickets are now sold out on Ticketmaster, but are still available through resale sites such as viagogo , VividSeats , and StubHub .

And at the time of writing, the cheapest seats available will set you back just under £430, from viagogo , for Taylor's first show back in London on August 15.

This price does come with a restricted view seat, in the upper level, tucked behind the right-hand corner of the stage - but is still comparatively cheaper than similar seats on VividSeats , which currently start from over £900, and on StubHub , which would set you back more than £1,200.

However, if you do want to splash out on a seat with a decent view of the stage as Taylor performs, your best bet is still viagogo , where you can enjoy a view of the singer for £550 from an upper-tier section, for her penultimate show on August 19.

Meanwhile, the cheapest seat with a view on VividSeats is for the same night, but will cost you £880 for an upper-tier seat on the left-hand side of the stadium. And on StubHub , you won't get a view of Miss Swift for less than £930, which will get you seated towards the back of the stadium, on the right-hand side.

Alternatively, if you're keen to be right in the middle of the action in the standing section, the lowest price going currently for general admission standing is £715 on viagogo , for the August 16 show.

And this is also the cheapest night for front standing tickets from viagogo , which will cost you anywhere from £745 to stand on the left-hand side of the stage in this front section, or £810 to be positioned on the right-hand side of the stage.

Comparatively, general admission standing starts from around £1,115 on VividSeats , for the August 16 show, and from just over £1,200 on StubHub , for any of the five remaining Wembley shows.

And front standing prices on VividSeats start from just over £1,000, for the right-hand side of the stage on August 16 - while on StubHub , you can grab right-hand front standing tickets starting from £1,385, for the August 15 show.

Taylor's remaining five shows in London will take place on August 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20.

viagogo and resale tickets

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, viagogo also commented: "viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee."

The Taylor Swift Economy Has Overtaken London. I Went to Its Epicenter.

I’ve never seen anything quite like what the superstar is doing to my city..

Taylor Swift is in London. Even the least culturally clued-in person could not have failed to notice. The city is full of people in “Eras” merch, and social media is awash in concert footage from the tour dates at Wembley Stadium: Travis Kelce donning a top hat and tails to make his own onstage debut, Prince William celebrating his 42 nd birthday by shaking it off in his private box. We’ve got an election going on here at the moment, so candidates are busy doing things in public to appear maximally normal. Keir Starmer, leader of the opposition, posted a photo of himself on what he described as a “Swift campaign pitstop” at the “Eras” tour on Friday. Mayor Sadiq Khan posted a version of London’s underground map with all the stops replaced by Taylor Swift song titles and captioned it “London (Taylor’s Version).” For better or worse, this has indeed felt like her town, for a weekend.

But one specific place in London is an interesting Petri dish in which to examine the Taylor Swift effect. Before April of this year, the Black Dog pub, in south London’s Vauxhall neighborhood, was an unremarkable sort of place. I live nearby and had been once or twice before. It’s a local joint that does decent food and serves beer—just a pub, in other words. However, after Swift released The Tortured Poets Department , the establishment found itself catapulted to international recognition. The extended, Anthology edition of the album features a song called “The Black Dog,” in which Swift as narrator describes realizing that a lover—presumably one of the two Londoner boyfriends that most of the album is about—had forgotten to turn off location sharing, and she then works out that he is cheating on her by tracking him to a bar by that name.

I went down this past weekend to see whether there would be any Swifties at the pub before or after their “Eras” experience and, if so, to ask them to explain themselves. As I walked over there, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, I sort of expected to be disappointed. Why would people in London for a weekend, some of them from as far afield as the States, spend any of their precious time at a bog-standard pub in a part of town well off the tourist trail? Surely they had better places to be? This was just a bonus track, after all.

I need not have worried. The Black Dog was swarming with groups of friends with “Eras” tote bags; mums and their tweenage daughters in “Eras” T-shirts; beleaguered boyfriends taking photographs of their girlfriends, all their arms bedecked in lettered bands spelling out their favorite albums and songs and lyrics. On the grass outside the pub, there were even a handful of girls stringing together more of these friendship bracelets. Inside, it was even busier, and anyone hoping for a table without a reservation was kidding themselves.

The pub sells merchandise now: pink Black Dog baseball caps, pint glasses embossed with the establishment’s logo, and, of course, friendship bracelets. Taylor Swift plays over the speakers. According to one staff member wearing a Black Dog friendship bracelet, it has been busy not just all weekend but all month. Swift fans seeing the tour elsewhere on the Continent have been incorporating the concert into a wider holiday, stopping in London on their own European tour. There was a somewhat harassed-looking security guard in an orange cap outside yelling at the Swifties to stay out of the way of cars as they got their pictures taken with a sign with the lyric “And so I watch as you walk into some bar called the Black Dog.” The guard was himself wearing a full sleeve of letter beads that fans had given to him, including one wristlet that read “Go Chiefs,” a phrase that holds no meaning for most Londoners. As I stood there, three South African women in “Eras” merch were debating which of theirs to bestow upon him. “Give him ‘King of My Heart,’ ” one said. “It will match his hat.”

I spoke to Michelle and Tammi, sisters based in Tennessee and Florida, who were there with their daughters. They were in London to see Swift the following night, and would be around till Tuesday. Maya, one of the daughters, said that “The Black Dog” was her favourite song of all, so this was the one thing she wanted to do in the city other than see the concert. They were going to the stadium that night too, to listen from outside.

This kind of tourism feels like a relatively new thing, in Europe anyway. It happened with Beyoncé’s tour as well: droves of concertgoers traveling to European cities they were otherwise not very interested in, such as the people who flew out specifically for the Stockholm show that kicked off the “Renaissance” tour. But this feels like another level in terms of numbers. This summer, 700,000 are expected to attend the “Eras” tour over the eight dates it will be in London, this month and again in August. A huge portion of that audience will be coming from abroad. Tickets to the European leg of the “Eras” tour are significantly cheaper than they are in the U.S., to the extent that many did the maths and worked out that it would be a better value to get “Eras” tickets in Europe and fly over for the concert. The Greater London Authority estimates that the tour will generate 300 million pounds for the economy, and last week the European Central Bank’s chief economist was heard musing about the megastar’s potential effect on inflation. Swift-themed functions this past weekend included a Taylor Swift drag brunch; a Taylor Swift mini-golf and cocktail event; a Taylor Swift traveling bar bus tour of London; and an adult ball pit experience with Taylor Swift music playing, as well as both warmup parties and after-parties for each concert. I cannot recall another occasion when one person’s presence in a city has kicked off such an enormous response of ancillary events and cash-in attempts. It is no exaggeration when everyone from CNBC to the New York Times writes about her as not just a pop star but an entire economy.

Three women from Ottawa told me that they had thought about coming to the Black Dog during their weekend in London but had bumped it up the agenda to that day because Swift had sung “The Black Dog” the previous night, as one of the two surprise songs she performs at each tour date. I sat down on a bench outside the pub with a group of fans, some from the U.S. and some from London, who had met one another there that day. They had all seen the show the night before. “ Tortured Poets is my favorite album,” a woman in her early 20s named Lily told me, “and we were like, ‘We have to visit the Black Dog.’ Just seeing that this is where she wrote about—it’s crazy. I almost imagine, like, this is the vibe of Tortured Poets , you know what I mean? It’s like the album in real life.”

Two other Swifties, Rachel and Ashley, found out they had gotten off the waitlist for London tickets on Thursday at 11 a.m. in New York. “We bought the tickets and flew here that night. We were in the airport by 4,” Rachel said. They got married last month. “Now we’re like, I don’t know—we thought we had the best night of our life? And then last night happened.” They wanted to come and see the Black Dog because they found the song relatable. “She was stalking her boyfriend, and, like, that’s the most human thing. I’m always looking at my Find My Friends like, Where’s everybody at, what are they doing? ”

Another group, friends from London, sat on the lawn with their pints. “I suggested the Black Dog to these two,” said Zoe, pointing to the other women with her, “and they were like, ‘We don’t know what you’re talking about.’ I was like, ‘It’s where Taylor got cheated on. It’s very important to us!’ ” She wasn’t at all surprised it was busy. “I thought it would be busier, to be honest.”

I guess for all these fans, coming to the Black Dog is a way to (let’s be real) get some Instagram pictures—but also to feel just a tiny bit closer to Swift. And her stardom is so astronomical that such feelings can be elicited just by a beer drunk from a plastic cup on some grass outside an unremarkable boozer.

When the “Eras” tour comes to a city, it creates this strange sense of us—the regular locals—and them, the world’s Swifties. As I stood outside the Black Dog, a group walked past.

“It’s crazy that there are so many people, and they’ve got so many bags,” one of the girls said to the others. One of her friends replied: “Imagine being the owner of this pub. They probably hate it.”

They don’t, apparently. Back when the song was released and the pub first started getting Swiftie visitors, the pub’s events manager, Lily Bottomley, told the BBC that the attention had been “pretty overwhelming” but that the bar “ can’t be happier ,” by which she presumably at least in part meant: “We are making a lot of money.”

People eating on the terrace outside an adjacent café were craning their necks to see what the fuss was about. One customer got up and walked over to an American woman wearing friendship bracelets.

“What’s all this?” the customer said in a south London accent.

“Oh, it’s because of the Taylor Swift song,” the American woman replied.

“All right,” the Londoner said before returning to the café, looking over her shoulder periodically with a bemused expression on her face.

Prince William, George and Charlotte attend Taylor Swift's concert in London: "A great evening"

By Lucia Suarez Sang

Updated on: June 22, 2024 / 7:58 PM EDT / CBS News

Prince William ended his birthday celebrations by taking his two oldest children to the Taylor Swift concert in London on Friday night.

The 42-year-old royal , Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined thousands of fans at Wembley Stadium during the first night of the Eras Tour stop in London.

Swift, 34, posed for a selfie with the three royals, as seen in a photograph shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' official social media accounts.

"Thank you [Taylor Swift] for a great evening," the posts said.

The singer also shared a separate selfie with the royals that also included her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

"Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start," she captioned the post.

According to Kensington Palace, the photos were taken ahead of her concert. Catherine, Princess of Wales, who is undergoing treatment for an unspecified cancer, stayed home with the couple's youngest, Prince Louis.

Princess Kate has remained largely out of the public eye since announcing her diagnosis earlier this year. She made her first public appearance in months on June 15 at the Trooping the Colour parade , the annual celebration that marks King Charles III's official birthday. The event did not signify a return to public duties, with future engagements depending on when she feels able and under the guidance of her medical team, according to the palace.

Kensington Palace released a new photo of William and his three children Friday to celebrate the future British monarch's 42nd birthday.

The image included the message: "Happy birthday Papa, we all love you so much!" It was signed "Cx," an abbreviation for the Princess of Wales, who's often referred to as Princess Kate.

The palace said the image was taken by Kate in southeast England in May.

Earlier Friday, Swift was welcomed to London by the royal guard when the band played "Shake It Off" in front of Buckingham Palace.
