It’s the morning of your day at Magic Kingdom, and you wake up bright and early to get the most out of your day. You put on your favorite Disney outfit and grab a bite to eat. Before you know it, you’re out the door and ready to go!

But before you can reach the entrance of Magic Kingdom, you first have to ride the monorail or the ferry. Which one do you choose?

Start Your Magic Kingdom Virtual Tour On Main Street USA

It’s time! You’ve made it to Magic Kingdom. You take in the warm sun and decide you want a snack from Main Street USA. There are so many fantastic treats from popcorn from the Main Street Popcorn cart to the corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner – which one do you try?

While your snacking on your delicious treat of choice, you hear the Dapper Dans in the distance joyfully singing “Zip-A-Dee Doo Dah.” Eventually this talented quartet makes its way into view, and you get a front row seat!

Just as you finish your snack, the Dapper Dans finish their set. You start off on your way towards Cinderella’s Castle, but not before the citizens of Main Street burst out into song and dance for the Main Street Trolley Show! How lucky are you today!

After dancing along to the wonderful sounds of the Main Street Trolley Show, you then make your way towards the most iconic Disney structure: Cinderella’s Castle.

Enjoy Cinderella’s Castle Hub

Of course, the first thing you do at Cinderella’s castle is take a bunch of pictures! When a balloon attendant walks by, you purchase one of them (for free of course! This is a virtual tour after all.) and it makes a great addition to your Instagram-worthy family photo.

You exit the Carousel of Progress all cooled off, and you’re ready for an adventure. You decide to conquer your fears and ride Space Mountain!

You step off the ride, and you feel exhilarated! You’re so glad that you decided to experience Space Mountain.

When your belly is full and satisfied, your notice that the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has NO LINE! You didn’t have to fuss over a FastPass+ or anything. You rush over to the ride and get on without having to wait a single second.

Once you get off the ride, you’re ready for another one, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is right around the corner! Why not say hi to your friends from the Hundred Acre Woods?

Then, after wandering through the Hundred Acre Woods, you dive under the sea and pay a visit to Ariel and her gang at Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid. You swim around with Flounder, Sebastian, and the rest of the crew!

After three rides in a row, you consider taking a pause for a photo or a snack. And then you see it: Peter Pan’s Flight without a wait! This is the one and only time that this miracle will happen, so you take advantage of this opportunity.

You wrap up your slew of rides in Fantasyland with one of the best rides in Magic Kingdom : It’s a Small World! You sing along to the song as you relax on the air-conditioned boat ride.

The It’s a Small World song continues to play in your head as you begin to make your way out of Fantasyland. But wait! You’ve spotted another colorful wall that’s perfect for another photoshoot: the beautiful Tangled Bathroom wall. You snap a few more photos before heading off on your merry way.

Continue Your Disney Virtual Tour To Liberty Square

Once you make it to Liberty Square, you head to the Haunted Mansion ride, simply because it’s amazing.

When you’re done with that ride, you skip the Hall of Presidents, because the only good part about that experience is the AC – and you’re at home, so it doesn’t matter! Off to Frontierland you go!

Take On Frontierland

To start of your time in Frontierland, you ride the wildest ride in the wilderness: Big Thunder Mountain.

And your exhilaration isn’t over, because it’s off to Splash Mountain! If you really want to recreate the experience, consider adding a little bit of water-filled fun to your experience. Water balloon fight anyone?

Disclaimer: Splash Mountain is down for refurbishment and will reopen as “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” in late 2024.

Since this is a Disney virtual tour, you decide to explore Tom Sawyer Island, even though you’ve never experienced it in person. After hopping on a log raft and travelling to the island, you realize how awesome the soaring trees and whirling mills are! You make a mental note to visit it in person the next time you visit Magic Kingdom.

Finish Your Day At Adventureland

The day is winding to an end, and you’ve made it to the last land in Magic Kingdom: Adventureland. You hop on the Jungle Cruise and sail through greenery-filled landscapes.

Once you hop off that boat, you hop on another on A Pirate’s Adventure – Treasures of the Seven Seas. You see Captain Jack Sparrow and the rest of his pirate crew sailing the seven seas.

End Your Magic Kingdom Virtual Tour With Happily Ever After

You decide to finish off your wonderful virtual vacation with the Happily Ever After Show. Soak in the colorful visuals, listen to the magical music, and finish off your Disney virtual tour of Magic Kingdom.

Disney’s Epcot Virtual Tour

Today’s the day to visit Epcot! You hop on the monorail and the excitement builds and builds as you see the iconic silvery white Epcot ball come into view.

Head To Future World First

Once you enter into Epcot, you’re greeted by the Epcot ball. You head into Spaceship Earth on the inside and go on a journey through the past, present, and future of human life.

After Spaceship Earth, your journeys into the future aren’t over. You head over to Mission Space, where you opt for the more thrilling version of the flight. (After all, you don’t have to worry about feeling the g-forces of space flight on this Disney virtual tour.)

When your spaceship returns back to earth, you hop right onto another speedy vehicle on Test Track, where you zoom around at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour!

Between the spaceship and the speedy car, all of the cylinders in your body are firing. Your adrenaline is pumping out at a ridiculous speed. You decide that you need to tone it down just a notch, so, as you round the circle of future land, you begin the Journey into Imagination with Figment, your favorite friendly dragon.

Now that you’ve calmed down a bit with your friend, Figment, you’re ready to head back into the air again. You buckle into Soarin, which is arguably one of the best rides in Epcot , and enjoy the beautiful scenery all over the world. Soar over the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the Eiffel Tower in France, Mt. Fuji in Japan, and so many other amazing international landmarks.

Since you’ve already traveled into the Land Pavilion of Future World, Living with the Land is right around the corner. Calmly sail along this nature-filled ride while learning about wise agricultural practices. Can you spot the Mickey-shaped fruits and veggies?

Travel The Globe through The World Showcase

Now that you’ve travelled through the future, you’re ready to head back into the present in the World Showcase.

Before you begin this journey around the world, you have to decide: to drink or not to drink. One of the most popular things to do in Epcot is drink around the world . And you can do this at home too! While you could go all out and whip up a few different Disney-inspired international drinks, you could also just grab your adult beverage of choice and sip as you travel through this Disney virtual tour.

The first country up: Canada! Visit the winter wonderland of North America through the wonderfully crafted O Canada! film.

After exploring the magical landscapes of Canada, you can explore the charming scenery of France in the film Impressions de France. Watch the hot air balloons float along the Loire Valley and feel the hustle and bustle of a Normandy marketplace.

As you make your way around Epcot’s World Showcase, you’ll walk through each country, taking in the atmosphere, architecture, and culture. You’ll pass Morocco, Japan, the U.S., Italy, Germany, and China before you reach your next ride in Norway. Along the way, grab some international snacks, watch impromptu shows, and maybe take a few photos.

In Norway, you ride Frozen Ever After, a Frozen -inspired ride aboard a Viking ship filled with unexpected twists and turns.

You decide you want to hop on one more ride before you call it a night, and, lucky for you, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros is just around the corner! You venture into the dark Mayan pyramid and hop aboard a boat.

Experience a Magical End to a Magical Day with Epcot Forever

You’ve explored the future and travelled around the world. To top off your magical day at Epcot, you watch the Epcot Forever fireworks show. Filled with uplifting music and colorful tidbits of culture, Epcot Forever is the perfect way to end the day.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Virtual Tour

Day three of this Disney World virtual tour, and you’ve opted to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Since you’ve already taken a couple of other modes of transportation to get to Magic Kingdom and Epcot on this Disney virtual tour, you opt to take a ride on the new Disney Skyliner this time around.

Walk The Palm-Tree Lined Hollywood Boulevard

You enter into the gates of Hollywood Studios and onto Hollywood Boulevard. You see the palm trees lining the walkway and feel the warm sun on your face. You think to yourself, am I in California? (And you very well might be since this is a Disney virtual tour.)

sign for Disney's Hollywood Studios Disney Virtual Tour

You already know what ride you want to hop on first: The Tower of Terror. There’s nothing like starting your day off with a good rush of adrenaline. But on your way there, you catch a glimpse of the talented citizens of Hollywood, so you decide to stay and watch.

The performance comes to an end, and you’re clapping as fast as your hands can go. It was just that good!

Get Your Adrenaline Pumping on Sunset Boulevard

You finally tear your attention away from the citizens of Hollywood as they go back to their daily routine and head towards The Tower of Terror. As you turn on Sunset Boulevard, you see it in the distance: the rusting, crumbling, lofty Tower of Terror. It seems more sinister than you remember, but there’s no reason to be afraid – it is a Disney virtual tour, after all. You rush over and hop on in the ride in record time!

You hop off the Tower of Terror and feel like you barely managed to scrape by with your life! You think about taking a pause from the thrill rides, but then Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith has NO LINE AT ALL! Sounds like it’s time for another thrilling ride!

After all the twists and turns and drops, your body is jittering like you’ve had six cups of espresso! You decide that it’s really time to calm your body down, and, lucky for you, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage is just about to start. Your see that there is the perfect number of seats right in the front, and you slide in just as the music for the opening number begins to play.

After watching Belle and the Beast’s fairytale story come to life, you’ve tackled pretty much everything you wanted to do on Sunset Boulevard in record time! As you make the rounds to Animation Courtyard, you see that a Disney Junior Dance Party is about to start, and you say why not! The little ones need some fun of their own.

After dancing around with Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, and Mickey Mouse, you and the little ones have huge smiles on your faces.

Return to Hollywood Boulevard For One More Ride

You decide to visit Mickey once again on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, because this ride is the perfect combination of kid-friendly yet thrilling.

You did it! You helped Mickey and Minnie save the runaway train!

Peek Into Pixar Place

You’re feeling like a superhero when you dash behind Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and into Pixar Place. And guess what? You’re not the only superhero there! Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone are all there too! You even spot the renowned superhero costume designer: Edna Mode!

Feel Like A Child Again At Toy Story Land

After your time in Pixar Place, you turn the corner and end up in Toy Story Land. By now, your stomach is growling at you like Jack-Jack when he doesn’t get his cookie num nums (and the delicious smell of waffles wafting through the air definitely doesn’t help), so you make a stop at Woody’s Lunch Box for a snack.

Now that your tummy is nice and full, you’re ready to get back to the excitement. Up next is one of the best rides at Hollywood Studios : Slinky Dog Dash!

After you finish up that exciting new ride, you decide that you’re not quite done with Toy Story Land. Toy Story Mania is up next – and look at that! There’s no line!

You play all of the games, and you end up beating the high score of the day! But that’s not enough for you – you want to hold the highest score of the month . So you hop on again for another spin at it.

AND YOU DID IT!! Check out that amazing high score! No one’s going to be able to knock your high score of the month off the leaderboard.

Pop Into Another Galaxy At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

In the short walk from Toy Story Land to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you are transported to a galaxy far, far away. Of course, you plan to explore every inch of this otherworldly place, and first up is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Will you successfully pilot your mission? The future of your vehicle is in your hands.

Congratulations! The mission was a success! Oh, and look what ride is up next – Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance .

You decide the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance might be the one of the best Disney rides you’ve ever been on – and you can’t wait to experience it in person one day.

Between playing Toy Story Mania twice , piloting a mission in Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and experiencing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you’re famished again! There are honestly so many delicious things to eat. Which one do you choose?

Finish Up Your Hollywood Studios Ride Bucket List At Echo Lake

There’s one last land in Hollywood Studios that you need to make a stop at: Echo Lake. To continue the Star Wars theme, you head to Star Tours – The Adventure Continues.

By now, you’re exhausted. How many amazing rides have you been on today? You start to tally but then lose count. You decide to spend the rest of your time in Hollywood Studios watching show after show. Lucky for you, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular is just about to start!

Indiana Jones battles villains, traverses around traps, and escapes with just seconds to spare, just like in Raiders of the Lost Ark ! But story time isn’t over quite yet, because For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is about to start!

https://youtu.be/JFeuOvEiIXM

End The Night With Fantasmic

There’s one last show at Hollywood Studios that you must see: Fantasmic. Watch Mickey’s sorcery come to life with friends from all of your favorite Disney classics, and end it all with a dazzling burst of colorful fireworks.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Virtual Tour

Today’s the day! You’re going to take a Disney virtual tour of the last park: Animal Kingdom. This time, you simply drive up and park at Animal Kingdom. No fancy transportation.

Animal Kingdom tree of life Disney virtual tour

Cross The Bridge To Discovery Island

When you enter the park, you cross through the Oasis and straight to Discovery Island. You stop and watch a few different animals in their habitats, including otters, flamingos, and tamarins. After all, you have to enjoy the animals at Animal Kingdom.

From there, you move on to your next stop. You’re determined to snap a few photos at the iconic Tree of Life. You even pop by the hidden theater just below the Tree of Life for It’s Tough to Be a Bug!

Feel Transported To Pandora – The World of Avatar

Then, you move on to Pandora – The World of Avatar, because you’re ready for your first ride. You opt for Avatar Flight of Passage, on which you take to the skies on a winged mountain banshee! You’re diving headfirst into the excitement of Animal Kingdom!

After exploring the skies in Avatar Flight of Passage, you then decide to take to the bioluminescent water-filled world of the Na’vi River Journey.

Wow, all this exploring in so little time has made you HUNGRY! Did you remember to eat breakfast today? You can’t remember, so you decide to stop for a tasty snack.

Discover The Land Of Africa

Now that you’ve restocked your energy reserves, you’re now prepared for the long walk over to the Land of Africa. One of the best Animal Kingdom rides is definitely Kilimanjaro Safaris. Why? Because it’s a 20-minute ride filled with real animals! Zebras, lions, and giraffes – oh my!

After riding Kilimanjaro Safaris, you feel like you’ve been transported to the landscape of The Lion King , which is only appropriate considering that the Festival of the Lion King is just about to start! Singalong with your favorite songs from The Lion King , including “Hakuna Matata,” “The Circle of Life,” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?”

Cross Over To Asia

After spending some time in Africa, you decide to cross the continental border into Asia. First up on the list: the Maharajah Jungle Trek. There, you see Asian tigers, gibbons, Komodo dragons, lion-tailed macaques, and tons of other cool animals.

Right as you finish up the Mahrajah Jungle Trek, the UP! A Great Bird Adventure is just about to begin. You rush to get a seat and watch colorful birds from all around the world do flips and tricks.

You then decide that you want to ride a couple of thrilling rides, starting with Kali River Rapids. This water ride filled with thrills and drops is amazing, even virtually. (Water balloon fight round 2, anyone?)

The last thing you do in Asia is Expedition Everest, arguably the most thrilling ride at Animal Kingdom. You even catch a glimpse of the elusive Yeti!

Experience DinoLand U.S.A.

There’s just one more land left in Animal Kingdom, and one more activity that you want to experience: the DINOSAUR ride. You are transported back into prehistoric times and get up close and personal with tyrannosaurus rexes, pterodactyls, and raptors.

Finish Off The Night With The Rivers of Light Show

You’ve interacted with animals, ridden thrill rides, and watched amazing shows. Now there’s just one thing to do to finish of your Disney virtual tour at Animal Kingdom: watch the Rivers of Light show.

I hope that this Disney virtual tour brought a little bit of joy and Disney magic into your homes. While you can’t always visit the parks for a dose of pixie dust, this Disney virtual tour might be able to do the trick!

With plenty of thrill rides, guests are sure to get their adrenaline fix while at the parks. If you want to scope out the rides before arriving in the park, here are some of the best options to experience the thrill from home.

Disneyland Park

Big thunder mountain railroad.

All aboard one of Disney’s most popular rides, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad !

Plummet through the darkness along a dynamite-littered track as you take the train deep into the heart of a legendary gold mine.

The big dips and sharp turns don’t get lost in the virtual version… hold on!

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril

Strap into your rickety rail cart and start exploring the remnants of a previous expedition gone wrong.

Meandering through lush undergrowth and mysterious statues, your cart’s spiraling out of control through the cursed ruins.

Soon the thought of finding that missing expedition is gone as your most important task now is getting out safely — enjoy the ride!

It’s a Small World

The It’s a Small World ride is a classic no matter which park you experience it in. Set sail, sing along while you float down the Seven Seaways Waterway, and explore all 7 continents in less than 10 minutes.

The intricate details of the hand-crafted dolls telling stories of cultures all around the globe are just as impressive via YouTube as they are in person… well, almost!

One thing is the same as the actual ride: you will likely have the song stuck in your head for hours after you are done!

If you want to experience It’s a Small World in all the parks at once, check out this neat compilation via the Disney Parks YouTube Channel .

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain

Fans of the original Space Mountain will recognize many parts of this roller coaster as it was previously known as Space Mountain: Mission 2.

In 2015, the indoor/outdoor roller coaster received a refresh and was rethemed as Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the park.

Although many parts of the ride are quite dark, you can still experience the thrill as the stars blow past you on this awesome steel coaster.

Walt Disney Studios Park

Ratatouille: the adventure.

Fans of EPCOT at Walt Disney World in Orlando can now ride the highly anticipated Ratatouille ride in Florida, but guests at Disneyland Paris have been enjoying it for years.

In this fun ride, you will shrink to the size of Remy and scurry through the famous Gusteau’s restaurant kitchen as you are being chased by angry Chef Skinner.

Dating back to its opening in 1955, Disneyland has long been the premier destination for theme park lovers on the west coast of the U.S. and across the world as it continues to grow.

Consisting of 2 parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland is just 26 miles from Los Angeles and offers some of the most innovative and exciting rides in the world.

Here are some of the best Disneyland attractions you can experience from home.

Jungle Cruise

If you are looking for a friendly, informative, and pun-filled cruise, look no further than Jungle Cruise .

Head off on an adventure where you will explore the Mekong River, African Congo, Nile River, and the Amazon with your trusty skipper, who is never short on jokes.

Matterhorn Bobsleds

Bundle up and slide into your bobsled as you hurtle down a snow-capped mountain.

Not only will you make your way through narrow passageways, caves, and jagged cliffs, but you will also need to avoid the Abominable Snowman!

This is a great thrill ride in person, but the 4K video does a good job of passing along the excitement!

Peter Pan’s Flight

With a little bit of pixie dust, you will find yourself flying over London on an enchanted ship on your way to Neverland with Peter Pan.

This classic story will have you soaring past Big Ben and swooping into Pirate’s Cove while Peter battles Captain Hook.

Will you and the children make it back to London? Watch and find out!

Space Mountain

You don’t need to worry about getting a Genie+ reservation to experience the world-famous Space Mountain — the thrill is just a click away.

While watching the video isn’t quite the same as plummeting through the darkness on this classic roller coaster, it will certainly help scratch the itch until you can ride again.

If you want some behind-the-scenes action, check out what it’s like to ride Space Mountain at Disney World with the lights on here !

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

One of the most anticipated rides in the history of theme parks is just a click away.

Join the Resistance as you battle against the First Order in this impressive “Star Wars” ride. This video will take you on a front-row POV on this trackless ride at Disneyland as you get help from Rey and BB-8, battling your way past legions of stormtroopers.

Disney California Adventure Park

Grizzly river run.

Strap in as you and your 7 friends board a whitewater raft and start drifting down what seems like a lazy river.

But hold on — this California river is full of drops, waterfalls, and geysers. If you were on this ride in person, you would probably get wet, but you don’t have to worry about that here.

You will still want to keep your head on a swivel to watch out for waterfalls, so be sure to strap on your VR headset and enjoy this ride in 360 degrees!

Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

This tower may look terrifyingly familiar to some, but it is now the home to Rocket and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Help save Star-Lord, Groot, and the rest of the crew, who are held captive in electrified glass cases that dangle perilously over an abyss.

If you are a fan of the classic rock from the movies, you will surely enjoy the ride’s playlist, courtesy of Star-Lord’s awesome mixtapes.

Incredicoaster

Head over to the Pixar Pier and help the Incredibles as they try to catch Jack-Jack causing trouble throughout the neighborhood.

This fun roller coaster is full of big drops and tunnels that are easy to enjoy, thanks to this 360-degree video. If you have VR goggles, strap them on and prepare for a wild ride!

Radiator Springs Racers

Buckle up as you race through Cars Land and arrive in charming Radiator Springs.

This fun ride makes you the star, and all your favorite characters, including Lightning McQueen, come out to help you prepare for the big race.

You will zoom around high-banked turns and cruise down straightaways past spectacular red rock formations before crossing the finish line. This one will be fun for the whole family!

Soarin’ Over California

Conquer your fear of heights as you glide over California’s beautiful state.

As the clouds part over San Francisco, you’ll find yourself with a thrilling perspective of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The IMAX tour continues as you fly over Yosemite National Park , Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, and San Diego Bay, returning at dusk over Malibu before returning to Disneyland Park.

Be sure to turn up the volume and embrace the ride!

Hong Kong Disneyland opened in 2005 on reclaimed land in Penny’s Bay in Hong Kong. The park only has a capacity for 34,000 visitors per day, the smallest of any Disney park, but it offers plenty of entertainment.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!

Shrink down and fight alongside Ant-Man and The Wasp as they try to help Iron Man defend against thousands of Swarmbots.

Guests ride along, shooting the bots hoping to protect S.H.I.E.L.D.’s secret research.

This ride style may be familiar to Disney fans, so it should be fun whether you are in person or watching from home.

Iron Man Experience

The Iron Man Experience is one ride that we don’t have stateside.

Guests are welcome to tour Stark Industries and get an all-access look at the groundbreaking technologies that will help shape the future.

Put on some 3D glasses and board an Expo Edition Iron Wing for a wild flight over Hong Kong. While the virtual experience may not be as thrilling as the real thing, it gives you a great look at one of the few rides that are difficult to experience in person.

Mystic Manor

Mystic Manor is a trackless ride that takes you through an eclectic art collection in an old manor house and museum.

As you go through the labyrinth of rooms, a curious little monkey opens a mysterious box, and some mystical music dust starts bringing objects to life. You must make your way out before it is too late!

Fans of “Toy Story” are sure to love this ride. Climb aboard your favorite RC Racer as you zoom up and down the track.

Ride up and down the 88-foot (27 m) half-pipe and feel like you are one of Andy’s toys playing in the backyard!

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh is a lovable character, no matter where you are.

Hop into a honey pot and get lost in the pages of one of your favorite childhood books. Bounce along with Tigger in the Hundred Acre Wood and stay out of the rain with the help of Eeyore, Roo, Kanga, Rabbit, and Owl.

This is a fun and cute ride for all ages, online or in-person!

Toy Soldier Parachute Drop

This is another must-watch for “Toy Story” fans.

Guests become recruits for the toy soldier army as you hear the familiar voice of Sarge yelling out orders.

You will be high above Toy Story Land as you practice parachute drills. Strap in and hold on, soldier!

Shanghai Disneyland has long been considered one of Disney’s most well-balanced parks since its opening. With a great mix of shows, rides, and family attractions, it has something for everyone.

There are some great unique experiences that you will only find at this park. Let’s look at some of the best virtual rides on the internet.

Pirates of the Caribbean Battle of the Sunken Treasure

Set sail with Captain Jack Sparrow as you search the seas for Davy Jones’ sunken treasure.

This ride is fun, but beware of pirates, mermaids, and even the savage Kraken!

One of the most popular rides at the park for a good reason; take a look at this virtual cruise in 4K to see if it is enough to get you to start planning your next trip to China!

Roaring Rapids

Board your raft with fellow volunteers as you head up Roaring Mountain in search of the source of the mysterious sounds that come billowing out.

Hold on as the water turns into rapids as you are heading straight towards the dark caves. The sounds get louder as you approach, and you soon realize an enraged monster is causing the mountain roars.

Guests usually get wet on this ride, but you can avoid that and still get the thrill, thanks to this YouTube video.

TRON Lightcycle Power Run

Fans of adrenaline-pumping music, lights, and 3D graphics will love TRON Lightcycle Power Run . This ride is so popular in Shanghai that Disney replicated it in Magic Kingdom in Orlando.

Race for survival as you are other riders are “digitized” and enter the high-tech universe. Dip and dive in on your motorcycle through this incredible digital universe as you try to beat other opponents in your quest to capture the 8 Energy Gates.

Voyage to the Crystal Grotto

Board this charming little ship as you journey into a cavern full of Disney magic.

Music, light, and wonder will encompass you as you sail through incredible sculpture gardens honoring timeless Disney films like “Tangled,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “Mulan,” and more.

After your cruise, you will surely be full of that special Disney awe.

Woody’s Roundup

Although it is certainly not the wildest ride, a trip (even a virtual one) to Shanghai Disneyland wouldn’t be complete for a “Toy Story” fan without a ride on Woody’s Roundup .

It’s time to have a party in the old Western town that Andy set up in his backyard. You will join Woody and Jessie for a good old-fashioned square dance as you spin back and forth on this fun family ride.

Even if you prefer the adrenaline of some of the other rides, you will undoubtedly be impressed with the details that make you feel like you are part of Andy’s toy collection.

Tokyo Disney Resort was the first Disney property built outside of the U.S. in 1983, and it has proven to be quite popular. It’s the third most visited park behind Walt Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland in California.

There are 2 parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, and both are just a short drive or train ride from downtown Tokyo . While Disneyland has the iconic look and feel of Magic Kingdom (and many of the famous attractions Disney fans love), DisneySea is just as popular.

Tokyo Disneyland

Splash mountain.

One of Disney’s most popular rides worldwide is Splash Mountain , and that holds true in Tokyo as well.

While quite similar to the version at Walt Disney World, the Tokyo Disneyland version has some subtle differences — can you spot them?

Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek

Get on one of the most popular rides at the park as you play hide and seek with flashlights, tagging alongside Boo, Mike, and Sulley.

Make your way through Monstropolis on a smooth tram and try to find as many monsters as possible.

This an enjoyable ride for the family, even virtually, as you interact with your favorite characters from the film.

Haunted Mansion

Are you afraid of the dark? What about 999 ghosts, goblins, and ghouls desperately looking for someone to make it an even 1,000?

This fun and spooky ride is a must-visit for many Disney fans, and now you can enjoy it from the safety of your home in 4K!

Sit down, dim the lights, and try not to scream!

Tokyo DisneySea

Soaring: fantastic flight.

Soaring has finally touched down in Tokyo. Debuting in July 2019, this version of Soarin’ (from EPCOT) is proving to be just as popular.

Strap in and feel what it is like to fly above our beautiful Earth as you are transported worldwide from a perspective like never before.

This video puts you right into the clouds to start flying immediately.

Tower of Terror

As terrifying as the other Towers of Terror rides worldwide, the Tokyo DisneySea version is a fan favorite.

Transport back to 1912 New York as the Preservation Society is finishing up the restoration of this famous hotel and giving tours to the public. But the mysterious disappearance of the hotel’s owner in 1899 seems to be causing trouble, especially when the elevator reaches the top floor!

What do you think? Is this as scary as the original? Better?

Journey to the Center of the Earth

Unique to DisneySea and one of the most exciting rides at the park, Journey to the Center of the Earth is certainly worth checking out — even online.

Head deep into an active volcano on exploration, but hold on as things go awry and you find yourself plunging even deeper.

This thrill ride is certainly entertaining — enjoy it now without the long waits!

Raging Spirits

If you love thrilling roller coasters, this ride is for you.

This outdoor thrill ride is happy to take you upside down and 360 degrees around. Don’t worry about themes on this one. It’s all about speed and drops.

Raging Spirits is known for its long queues, so take advantage of the fact that you can see it from the comfort and safety of your home without motion sickness!

Walt Disney World in Orlando is the crown jewel of the Disney Parks family.

The massive property covers 25,000 acres and is home to 4 theme parks , 2 water parks , 27 resort hotels , multiple golf courses, and more shopping and dining options than you can pack into a single vacation.

Welcoming an average of 58 million guests per year (yes, you read that correctly), Walt Disney World is the most visited vacation resort in the world. Let’s look at some of the rides that make it so popular.

Planning a family vacation to Walt Disney World can be stressful! We offer tips to help make your next trip to see Mickey stress-free !

Magic Kingdom

Mad tea party.

If you like getting dizzy, this is the ride for you!

One of the most classic Magic Kingdom rides is the Mad Tea Party , a must-do for many guests. Inspired by “Alice in Wonderland,” it is loved by many, but this spinning ride is certainly not for everyone.

Ready to go for a twirl? Click play!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

One of the most popular rides in the park, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is known for its hairpin turns… and long waits. Fortunately, you don’t need to worry about the latter part when riding virtually.

Strap into this rustic mine train and make your way through the creaking tracks as you come across your favorite dwarfs as they are whistling and singing while they work.

This is a great family ride and almost as fun when watching from home!

It doesn’t get more iconic than Splash Mountain. The winding river, the small drops, the music … all getting you ready for the big splash at the end in front of all the passers-by.

Splash Mountain is currently being reimagined as “ Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ,” with theming from “The Princess and the Frog,” so until the renovation is complete, this 4K video is the next best thing.

Fortunately, in this version, you don’t have to wear a poncho!

Frozen Ever After

EPCOT has improved its rides lately, but one of the most popular rides in all the parks continues to be Frozen Ever After, based on the super-popular film.

This boat ride will take you towards Arendelle through a frozen willow forest and eventually to the North Mountain, where Queen Elsa’s enchanting ice palace awaits.

Fans of the movies will be happy to know that there are appearances from all your favorite characters, including Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and more.

Mission: Space

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an astronaut? Well, now you can get a feel for it thanks to this NASA-inspired simulation.

Chose your mission: travel to Mars or just a gentle orbit around Earth. Both will require you to go through cadet training, so prepare for an epic blastoff into space.

Strap in and enjoy some of the most spectacular views of our planet.

This is a fun ride for the car lover — or anyone who likes a fun ride.

Head to the Chevrolet Design Center and create a virtual concept car that you’ll then get to take out for a spin on the test track. You will experience big curves, inclement weather, and high speeds.

Hopefully, your creation is up to the challenge!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Mickey & minnie’s runaway railway.

The most anticipated ride opening of 2020 just may have been Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway .

The newest of all Hollywood Studios rides, this trackless ride replaced The Great Movie Ride in the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in the center of Hollywood Studios, and the reviews have been good.

Zip away with Mickey and Minnie as you are transported into the cartoon short with them on a wild train ride. This is the first-ever ride that features Mickey Mouse and his friends — enjoy!

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Talking about popular rides, new “Star Wars” rides are probably the most anticipated attractions of the past decade, if not ever at Walt Disney World.

Make your way through Galaxy’s Edge before boarding the Millenium Falcon as you embark on a thrilling, interactive journey into hyperspace.

There is danger at every turn as you battle through the galaxy. Get ready to punch it!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Fast roller coasters and loud music? Sign us up!

This awesome thrill ride shoots you through the streets of Los Angeles and into the music studio where Aerosmith works on a recording session.

Jump in their limo and explore the city at break-neck speeds!

Slinky Dog Dash

“Toy Story” fans rejoice! The ride of your dreams is here, and you don’t have to worry about securing a Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation!

Head into Andy’s backyard, where he has assembled his Mega Coaster Play Kit and Slinky Dog, ready to take you on a wild ride.

This incredibly fun ride is perfect for the entire family, whether in person or online.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Avatar flight of passage.

One of the world’s most visually stunning and exciting rides can be found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Avatar Flight of Passage consistently generates hours-long lines, with guests coming off the ride saying it was worth every minute. Impressive, no?

On this 3D ride, you climb on the back of a mountain banshee and fly through Pandora as if you were a Na’vi hunter.

While it would be impossible to experience how incredible this ride is from your computer truly, you can get a pretty good idea of how special it is without the help of Genie+.

Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain

If you are looking for a good old-fashioned roller coaster but with that special Disney touch, look no further than Expedition Everest .

Hold on as you careen through the Himalayan peaks on old train tracks as mystic Yeti chases after you.

Big drops, darkness, drops in reverse, this ride has it all.

Kilimanjaro Safari

One of the exceptional parts of Animal Kingdom is that there are — wait for it — a lot of animals on the property!

You can go on an open-air safari that covers over 100 acres of land, home to 34 species of animals. With everything from open plains to rocky wetlands, you will be amazed at how many beautiful animals live in the park — and how close you can get to them.

Whether it’s a stunning giraffe, a regal lion, or one of the rhinos or elephants, there is plenty to see on this 18-minute tour.

If you want the thrill of Disney from the comfort of your home, we’ve got you covered.

Fortunately, thanks to technology, we can experience some of the world’s most incredible rides and scratch that ever-present “Disney itch” from wherever we are.

With options in 4K and even with 360-degree cameras, you can start planning exactly which rides you want to reserve when you visit the park.

Until then, make sure your phone is fully charged so that you don’t run out of battery at the end of Splash Mountain!

30 Virtual Disneyland Rides to Experience from Home

All the fun—none of the lines.

Headshot of Brie Dyas

However, with Disneyland (and all Disney parks) closed for the time being, the pixie dust has been temporarily placed on hold until further notice. Sure, we can all channel the Magic Kingdom while watching the best kids' movies on Disney Plus . But now we have even better news: You can still enjoy the experience of your favorite rides at your favorite Disney park, all from the comfort of your sofa. That means you have VIP status and won't have to to wait in a single line! We've rounded up 30 fan favorites (and one amazing show!) from the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks in Anaheim, California—plus an incredible one-of-a-kind attraction from each Disney park around the world. Shanghai Disneyland's version of the Pirates of the Caribbean has to be seen to be believed.

Splash Mountain (Disneyland)

You don't have to hold on to your hat when you join the fearless Brer Rabbit through the bayou on this flume ride. You'll experience a few dips on your way to the most famous one—a five-story drop that's still exciting even when experienced on-screen.

It's a Small World (Disneyland)

You can't help but smile during this cute journey through different nations, even if the song will be stuck in your head for days! There are more than 300 audio-animatronic dolls throughout the ride, including a few cameos by Disney characters like Peter Pan and Tinkerbell in England.

Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland)

Sing along with the merry pirates who pillage and plunder while keeping an eye out for Jack Sparrow on this iconic ride.

Peter Pan's Flight (Disneyland)

One of the original attractions present on Disneyland's opening day in 1955, this quaint ride takes you through the skies on an enchanted pirate ship as you follow the story of Peter Pan .

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Disneyland)

An abandoned gold mine is the setting of this classic ride, where trains race through the tunnels and caverns while narrowly avoiding waterfalls and landslides.

Space Mountain (Disneyland)

Although much of Space Mountain happens in the dark, you can still sense the thrills to be had while hurtling through the outermost reaches of space.

The Haunted Mansion (Disneyland)

Board a Doom Buggy and discover 999 happy haunts as you tour a spooky estate with the guidance of your "Ghost Host."

The Enchanted Tiki Room (Disneyland)

This sweet chorus of birds and blooms has been charming Disneyland guests since 1963. The show has a "cast" of 225 audio-animatronic performers, in addition to the four Macaw "hosts," that sing tunes that will be stuck in your head all day (in a good way).

Matterhorn Bobsleds (Disneyland)

A Disneyland favorite since 1959, this roller coaster takes you on a journey up, around, and through an alpine mountain in a six-person bobsled, coming face-to-face with the Abominable Snowman.

Indiana Jones Adventure (Disneyland)

There are plenty of thrills to be had as you explore and attempt to avoid all the traps inside the Temple of the Hidden Eye.

Snow White's Scary Adventures (Disneyland)

You'll join Snow White as she tries to escape the evil queen in this unexpectedly dramatic adventure.

Alice in Wonderland (Disneyland)

Board a caterpillar and take a trip through memorable scenes from the classic film, encountering the White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter, and other Wonderland citizens along the way.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant (Disneyland)

Soar through the air with the darling (and daring) elephant as he circles around a dancing fountain and his dear friend, Timothy Q. Mouse.

Jungle Cruise (Disneyland)

It's all about puns, gags, and groan-worthy jokes on this silly adventure through tropical forests. You'll meet a host of interesting animals along the way.

Mark Twain Riverboat (Disneyland)

You'll enjoy this peaceful tour of the park as you drift down the Rivers of America on a 19th-century paddleboat.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (Disneyland)

Board an early-1900s motorcar and go on an adventure with the incomparable Mr. Toad as he barrels through the countryside.

Storybook Land Canal Boats (Disneyland)

This peaceful boat ride takes you through charming scenes of your favorite Disney movies. Though it has been updated through the years to include Frozen , The Little Mermaid , and Aladdin , the Storybook Land Canal Boats remain one of the original rides from when Disneyland opened in 1955.

Casey Jr. Circus Train (Disneyland)

Climb aboard the adorable train as you glimpse some of the same scenes as the Storybook Land Canal Boats from a higher vantage point. Of course, the main attraction is Casey Jr., as he toots and climbs an "impossible" hill.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run (Disneyland)

One of the two long-awaited rides in Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, this attraction lets you fly the Millennium Falcon. This video puts you in the pilot's seat as you go on a daring flight filled with danger.

Radiator Springs Racers (Disney California Adventure)

The centerpiece of Disney California Adventure's Cars Land, this amazing ride immerses you in the world of Cars before taking you on a thrilling race of your own.

Virtual Visit to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

virtual visit to the magic kingdom

In need of a little Disney magic? If you can’t get to the Most Magical Place on Earth, you can visit Walt Disney World virtually through YouTube ride and attraction videos.

disney virtual tour rides

We’ve rounded up a great video for each and every ride, attraction, and show that you can currently find at the Magic Kingdom. It’s the next best thing to being there!

Virtual Walt Disney World Series

Our virtual Walt Disney World series is just a fun way to explore and enjoy the parks when you can’t be there. Because the majority of these videos are from the guest’s point of view (POV), they can be even more fun viewed through VR headsets for your phone , or by projecting it on a wall or viewing on a big screen tv.

You can even get creative and make ride vehicles to sit in and add your own special effects. Have fun with it!!

And because it’s all virtual, you can hop from park to park as much as you want. Here are the links to the other parks:

  • Virtual Epcot
  • Virtual Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Virtual Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Virtual Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is such a fun place to visit. The first of the four Disney theme parks to be built in Florida, it also has the most to see and do. It’s almost impossible to see it all in one day.

Express Monorail to the Magic Kingdom

“Por favor mantengense alejado de las puertas!” Please stand clear of the doors and enjoy your express monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom. Stay on, and you’ll continue your journey all the way around the Seven Seas Lagoon and back to where you started.

Take the Ferry Across Seven Seas Lagoon

On a beautiful day, the more relaxing way to get to the Magic Kingdom is the Ferry Boat. You can choose to sit inside in the shade or stand outside on deck to feel the breeze as you cross the waters to the shores of the Magic Kingdom.

Let the Magic Begin

The “welcome show” for the Magic Kingdom used to be held outside the entrance. But a few years ago they relocated it to the castle stage. So once you arrive, you can enter the park and look around on Main Street, U.S.A. as you make your way to the Cinderella Castle stage to see the show.

Once the show is over, the other lands of the park will open and everyone can make their way (in an orderly fashion) to their first attraction!

Full Walk Around the Magic Kingdom

This is a well-shot, smooth walk around the entire Magic Kingdom. You can sit back and enjoy it all at once, or stop wherever you like and scroll ahead the next time to pick up where you left off.

Walt Disney World Railroad Full Loop

All aboard! The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed for a while due to construction on the new Tron attraction. But thanks to this ride video, you can ride it any time you want! This version starts and ends at the Main Street train station.

Main Street USA

The “heart of America”, Main Street U.S.A. is such a great place to take your time and enjoy all the little details. As a Cast Member on my Keys to the Kingdom tour put it, Main Street, U.S.A. is like the opening credits to the show you are about to see in the rest of the park.

Take a Ride on Main Street Vehicles

The main street vehicles do not run all day long. So if you see one, be sure to catch a ride as it is a unique experience!

Meet the Citizens of Main Street, U.S.A.

Be sure to say hello to the citizens of Main Street, U.S.A. when you see them!

The Dapper Dans Barbershop Quartet

The Dapper Dans are a Magic Kingdom delight! They’ve been known to drop in and serenade guests getting haircuts at the Harmony Barbershop. But they also love to entertain the crowds right along Main Street, U.S.A.!

The Main Street Trolley Show

There’s nothing like a little singin’ and dancin’ to get you going in the morning. And the Main Street Trolley Show might just be pulling up to supply that for you as you walk up Main Street, U.S.A.! So be sure to stop and enjoy it!

The Casey’s Corner Pianist

Casey’s Corner is my favorite lunch spot in the Magic Kingdom. Aside from the baseball theming and great hot dogs, you can grab a seat with a great view of Cinderella Castle and listen to the soundtrack or, if you’re lucky, enjoy a live piano performance!

Cinderella Castle Hub

The castle hub is the center of the park. From here you can choose to go to any of the other themed lands. But it’s also a great place to hang out and enjoy the scenery. And it’s an especially good spot to watch the Festival of Fantasy parade.

Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire

Festival of fantasy parade.

The Festival of Fantasy Parade is a gorgeous, colorful parade with lots of huge floats and many of your favorite characters. The highlight is the fire-breathing dragon version of Maleficent. And while you can see the parade in Frontierland, Liberty Square, or on Main Street, U.S.A., nothing beats this view with Cinderella Castle in the background.

The Main Street Philharmonic

What do you get when you take a marching band and give them a Disney playlist? you get the Main Street Philharmonic!! Enjoy!

Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party

It’s like a parade that you get to be a part of! Join Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Clarabelle as they make their way to Cinderella Castle for a dance party!

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland was my favorite land as a kid. Something about the future really gets the imagination going thinking about all that is possible. Thrill seekers can enjoy Astro Orbiter and Space Mountain. And the whole family will enjoy Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

Astro Orbiter

The Astro Orbiter offers some of the best views of any attraction in the Magic Kingdom. But the ride moves fast and is over before you know it, so make sure to keep your eyes open!

We found two options for you. The first is a standard view. The second is a 360-degree view where you can control which way you are looking.

Here’s the other Astro Orbiter video with a 360-degree view:

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Do you have what it takes to stop the evil Emporer Zurg from completing his galactic conquest? Join Buzz Lightyear and his space rangers in the ultimate battle!

Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor

Enjoy this hilarious comedy show where the guests are sometimes part of the action.

Space Mountain

Zoom through the darkness of space aboard your rocket ship. While it’s extremely dark inside Space Mountain, this video turned out pretty good.

Tomorrowland Speedway

As a kid, I loved getting to drive my own race car around the Tomorrowland Speedway. This video puts you back in the driver’s seat, and if you want to keep watching it, it will do another lap in different lane.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

“Paging Mr. Morrow… Mr. Tom Morrow.” Take a relaxing ride around Tomorrowland on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover.

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is one of those classic Disney attractions that people of all ages can enjoy.

Fantasyland

If you have little kids, you might find yourself heading straight for Fantasyland and spending a lot of time here. So many favorites and great new attractions since the expansion. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is the most sought-after FastPass+ in the park, but you can ride it over and over here with no wait!

The Barnstormer

The perfect first roller coaster for little kids, the Barnstormer is a fun ride.

Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station

While not a ride, the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station is a great place to cool off on a hot Florida day at the Magic Kingdom. And since we’re walking through this virtually, we don’t have to worry about our clothes getting wet!

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Take a ride in your very own flying elephant! Since relocating Dumbo the Flying Elephant to its new home in the Storybook Circus area, the wait times have been drastically reduced. And here, you don’t have to wait at all!

Enchanted Tales With Belle

Be part of the “tale as old as time” when you visit Belle in Fantasyland. Enter her house and be magically transported to the Beast’s castle!

it’s a small world

Take a ride on the happiest cruise that ever sailed on “it’s a small world”.

Mad Tea Party

The family always makes me promise that we won’t spin the teacup too fast. But that goes right out the window as soon as we get going on the Mad Tea Party!

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

A family favorite, the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a great ride for everyone. I love how the vehicle’s motion changes from scene to scene.

Mickey’s Philharmagic

Follow Donald on a magical journey as he borrows Mickey’s sorcerer hat and finds himself part of several classic Disney animation scenes. Mickey’s Philharmagic is a 3D film, which is why it’s a little blurry in this video.

Peter Pan’s Flight

Get pixie-dusted and fly above London and go off to Neverland with Peter, Wendy, Michael and John to battle the sinister Captain Hook. You can scroll back to see some of the queue elements.

Prince Charming Regal Carousel

Carousels are so much fun. And the Prince Charming Regal Carousel is no exception, with its beautiful horses and Disney music.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Since its debut, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has become the most popular attraction at the Magic Kingdom. And it’s easy to see why, as it combines a family-friendly coaster with some really impressive modern animatronic characters.

Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid

Hop inside a clamshell and go under the sea to see the story of Ariel as you have never seen it before.

Liberty Square

Liberty Square is such a wonderfully detailed land. That more than makes up for it being the smallest. It also features my favorite Walt Disney World attraction of all-time: The Haunted Mansion.

Hall of Presidents

Enjoy this telling of our nation’s history by all 44 U.S. Presidents.

The Haunted Mansion

My absolute favorite Disney attraction. The Haunted Mansion artfully blends humor, story, and special effects to create an experience you can enjoy again and again.

Liberty Square Riverboat

Take a cruise on the Rivers of America aboard an authentic paddle-wheel ship.

Frontierland

As you move from Liberty Square to the end of Frontierland, you are heading further west while also going forward in time through the pioneer days. It’s much like how America expanded in real life. And when you get there, you find not one, but two thrilling mountain attractions!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Take a ride on the wildest ride in the wilderness: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!

Country Bear Jamboree

Sit back and enjoy this country-western musical revue of singing bears.

Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade

As a kid, I always loved the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. There are so many great effects that happen when you hit the targets. In this video, you’re more of an onlooker than a shooter, but it’s still fun.

Splash Mountain

Everybody has a laughing place. Sometimes you have to plummet through the briar patch to get there.

Tom Sawyer Island

Tom Sawyer Island doesn’t get a lot of love, probably because it isn’t easy to get to. But you can explore the island on this walk-through.

Adventureland

The spirit of Adventure is something shared by all of us, and in Adventureland, you can be an adventurer and explore the world. The world famous Jungle Cruise will either have you rolling on the floor, or rolling your eyes, as you travel the rivers and jungles of the world.

Jungle Cruise

The world famous Jungle Cruise takes you on a tour of the rivers of the world. But will you survive the jokes?

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is like Dumbo, but on flying carpets. Just watch out for those camels. They spit!

Pirates of the Caribbean

Arrrrrgh! Journey through a town as it is being overrun by pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean! and remember… Dead men tell no tales!

Swiss Family Treehouse

The Swiss Family Robinson was one of my favorite movies growing up. So the Swiss Family Treehouse has a lot of nostalgia for me. I would love to have a treehouse like this one!

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

Another classic Walt Disney attraction, the tiki room is a great place to get out of the heat and enjoy a good show. You can scroll back if you want to see the pre-show.

Nighttime Spectaculars

Every day at the Magic Kingdom is capped off by some great fireworks and light shows. In these videos, you have the best seat in the park for each.

Happily Ever After

Happily Ever After is the Magic Kingdom’s newest fireworks show that also includes projections on to the castle. While the fireworks can be seen from all over the park, the projection portion is best viewed from in front of Cinderella Castle.

Once Upon a Time

Join Mrs. Potts as she entertains Chip with a bedtime story that includes classic Disney tales projected on Cinderella Castle.

Electrical Water Pageant

Recently, we learned that the Electrical Water Pageant was only meant to be a one-time show as a thank you for corporate sponsors when the Magic Kingdom opened. But it is still running today!

We hope you enjoyed this virtual tour of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Be sure to bookmark this page if you want to visit again.

What Walt Disney World theme park would like to explore next? You can check out our Virtual Epcot , Virtual Disney’s Hollywood Studios , and Virtual Disney’s Animal Kingdom tours now!

And if you want to visit other cool places besides Disney Parks, we have 20 Virtual Field Trips you can take to places like museums, zoos, aquariums, and historic sites!

Share All sharing options for: A virtual visit to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World

Walt Disney World’s doors are closed until July, but if you’re feeling a little squicky about venturing to the Magic Kingdom so soon, there’s good news: If a Disney attraction exists (or existed in the time of YouTube), then chances are a high-definition video ride-through, walk-through, or POV of the attraction exists, ready to be experienced from home.

Disney parks have a lax policy when it comes to bringing cameras on rides to film the experience. As long as filming doesn’t pose a safety hazard (which it would on Hollywood Studios’ Rock ‘N Roller coaster, which goes upside down) or involve using flash on dark rides like Haunted Mansion, cast members permit visitors to use recording devices on most rides. While Disney specifically prohibits selfie sticks at the parks, GoPros, iPhones, and DSLR cameras are all allowed. (Which explains how one mad genius covertly directed an entire black-and-white thriller inside the parks.)

Ride-through and walk-through videos are a big part of theme park culture, showcasing many attractions and interactive areas of the park. The videos are so common that we were able to build an entire virtual ride through and walkthrough of the iconic landmarks at California’s Disneyland . The next logical step was Florida’s Disney World.

Like Walt himself, we never stop dreaming and building. So behold, a virtual exploration of the Magic Kingdom — the bigger, evolved version of Disneyland — broken down by land order. Yes, there is an order in which to “do” Magic Kingdom. Sorry, Dole Whip is not included (but here’s the official Dole DIY recipe if you’d like to complete the Walt Disney World experience).

Main Street U.S.A

Main street.

In Magic Kingdom, the Main Street area — designed to evoke Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri — is less about the attractions and more about the feel. It’s a quintessential part of the Magic Kingdom experience.

Disney Railroad

The railroad technically goes around the whole park, but it starts in Main Street so it goes here. Walt loved trains!

Adventureland

Jungle cruise.

The Emily Blunt Dwayne Johnson movie version of the iconic ride got pushed to 2021, but you can experience the full Disney World ride — bad jokes and puns included — through the magic of YouTube. The Florida version of this ride features carefully chosen plants designed to thrive in central Florida’s humid summers and surprisingly cool winters.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin

The Aladdin-themed ride is basically the Dumbo elephant fixture of Fantasyland, but with magic carpets instead. In Magic Kingdom, this space is used for Aladdin character meet-and-greets.

Pirates of the Caribbean

The facade of this version of Pirates of the Caribbean is inspired by Castillo de San Felipe del Morro in the Old San Juan in Puerto Rico. The ride existed before the movie series was even a thing, though recent refurbishments have added some uncanny Jack Sparrow animatronics and rethinking of a scene where women were being auctioned off.

Swiss Family Treehouse

It’s not a ride, but it is a dope treehouse. Take a breather in the middle of your Disney day to explore some trees.

Enchanted Tiki Room

Talking birds, catchy songs — what more could you want? One of the immersive show experiences at Walt Disney World, the Enchanted Tiki room is full of parrots serenading guests.

Frontierland

Big thunder mountain.

The runaway railroad ride is a staple of Frontierland across Disney parks worldwide. With sharp twists and turns, it’s one of the more thrilling rides at Disney Word. The Florida version is slightly bigger than the California one.

Country Bear Jamboree

Do you remember the Country Bears movie? Well, it exists, and so does this video of the Disney World show.

Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade

Check out some rootin’, tootin’, shootin’ action.

Splash Mountain

The benefits to enjoying Splash Mountain in the comfort of your home: no risk of ruining your custom-made Disney vacation T-shirt with Splash Mountain water! Because, of course you’ll be wearing your Disney vacation T-shirt whilst embarking on this virtual adventure.

Tom Sawyer Island

Like its Disneyland equivalent, the island is Tom Sawyer-themed. The kids still love Tom Sawyer, right?

Liberty Square

The hall of presidents.

Come for the American history lessons, stay for the life-like wax figurines. Here’s the pre-2016 version , by the way, for no particular reason.

Haunted Mansion

Happy haunts await you! Each Haunted Mansion across Disney parks is themed to the area. In this case, the mansion evokes the Gothic Revival architecture of the mid-1700s, perfectly fitting in with the Revolutionary War-themed Liberty Square.

Liberty Square Riverboat

It wouldn’t be a Disney park without a riverboat. Unlike the Disneyland version, the Magic Kingdom isn’t tied to American author Mark Twain, but instead a more generic riverboat experience.

Fantasyland

The barnstormer.

A mild roller coaster tailored for kids, the Barnstormer got a revamp in 2011 after the Toontown area of Magic Kingdom closed down and turned into an expanded area of Fantasyland. Instead of being themed to take place at Goofy’s farm, it now fits more in line with the circus theme of the area (full name: The Great Goofini’s Barnstormer).

Casey Jr. Splash N’ Soak Station

Brush off your portable misting fan in order to fully recreate this experience.

Cinderella’s Castle

Cinderella’s Castle is over 100 feet taller than the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Anaheim. The castle is an iconic symbol of not just the Magic Kingdom, but Disney parks worldwide. Walking through the Cinderella Castle leads you right to Fantasyland.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

One of the hallmarks of every Disney World vacation commercial, the Dumbo ride takes (virtual) visitors to the skies.

Enchanted Tales with Belle

Added to the 2011 expansion of Fantasyland, this interactive experience is part show, part house tour. Walk through Belle’s cottage and recreate the events of the movie with Belle and her friends. The line is always long, but the attraction is really cute, and now you can skip the line and view it via video! Unfortunately, this means no audience participation, but we must all make sacrifices.

It’s A Small World

Will this song get stuck in your head after watching this video? Probably! But it’s a wholesome song, so really, it could be a lot worse.

Mad Tea Party

Take a spin on the teacups! The Mad Tea Party and the Dumbo ride are the quintessential Fantasyland attractions, and they both involve spinning. What does it mean?

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

While the ride itself has remained relatively unchanged since its opening in 1999 (where it replaced Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride), the waiting area got retooled during the 2011 expansion to have a play area for restless little children.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic

The 4D show explores some iconic moments in Disney music, with Donald Duck commandeering a magical orchestra.

Peter Pan’s Flight

To this day, Peter Pan’s Flight is one of the most popular attractions in the Magic Kingdom, a testament to the power of good Imagineering, the legacy of J.M. Barrie’s timeless tale, and the fact that edgy tweens entering their Hot Topic phase are really into it.

Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

Every Fantasyland has a carousel. This one just happens to be themed to Prince Charming and Cinderella. There is an unverified rumor that one of the horses, specifically one with a golden bow, is “Cinderella’s horse.” The ride was originally called Cinderella’s Carousel, but was re-themed to the less exciting Charming and given a backstory , because why not.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

One of the new attractions to open up in the Fantasyland refurbishment (and also the one ride in Fantasyland I have yet to ride on because the line is always three-hours long), the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train debuted in the second phase of 2014. It’s a fast-paced ride, similar to both Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain in how its path winds both inside and outside. The ride reuses some animatronics from the now-defunct Snow White’s Scary Adventure.

Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid

A dark ride that takes guests through Ariel’s adventure, Under the Sea opened up in 2012 following a similar ride’s debut in California Adventure. While the California one’s exterior is stylized like an aquarium (which is, uh, kinda weird but okay), the Magic Kingdom version fits in with the rest of Fantasyland and is stylized like Eric’s castle.

Tomorrowland

Astro orbiter.

If the Magic Carpets of Aladdin is Adventureland’s version of the Dumbo ride, then the Astro Orbiter is Tomorrowland’s. Soar high above the retro-futuristic land in a wee little rocket.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Unfortunately, a YouTube ride through can’t capture the sheer satisfaction of blasting moving targets, but the video does capture the neon arcade-style decor pretty well. Called “Astro Blasters” in Disneyland, this version of the attraction features less dialogue than its California counterpart.

Carousel of Progress

Naysayers may say that the Carousel of Progress is a boring 20-minute show, but they’re really missing out on a few big things. One, Daddy Progress , the fan name for the father figure in the show. Two, a nice, quiet dark space to sit amidst the Florida heat and rest your Disney trekking feet for 25 minutes. And three, a delightful experience taking guests through four distinct eras of technological progress, full of iconic lines (“Whew, boy, hottest Fourth of July we’ve had in years!”) and an incredibly catchy song. We stan the Carousel of Progress in this house.

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

More of a show than a ride, the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is a unique experience each time you visit, since Mike and the other monsters call out different audience members.

Space Mountain

Space Mountain, a roller coaster which hurdles guests almost entirely in the dark, doesn’t seem like it’d make for a fun ride-through video (since it, you know, takes place in the darkness of space), but you can’t have the full Tomorrowland experience without a ride on Space Mountain.

Stitch’s Great Escape!

Ever wonder how Stitch escaped after being taken into custody in the beginning of the movie? Be part of his adventure! Unfortunately, the video doesn’t capture the 4D effects, but given that one of the effects was a gross belch smell, maybe some attractions are better in video form.

Tomorrowland Speedway

Race some cars at Magic Kingdom’s race track. Lots of other Disney parks have a similar attraction under different names, but it’s all about going fast.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

It’s just a track, one might say. But do not underestimate the sure love Disney fans have for the People Mover, which takes guests behind-the-scenes in certain Tomorrowland attractions. One of the staples of the park, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been through a few name changes — the most recent one being the readdition of “PeopleMover” to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority in 2010.

Disney abandoned Princess Tiana — until it suddenly needed her help

Tiana’s bayou adventure is way better than splash mountain probably deserved, how disney’s new princess and the frog ride connects to the upcoming tiana tv series.

20+ Amazing Virtual Disney Rides to Enjoy from the Comfort of your Home

We came across these virtual Disney rides while looking for some virtual travel ideas for the kids. During times when travel is not possible, virtual tours are a fun way to continue to explore the world when we can’t get there in person.

We’ve loved taking virtual museum tours and watching live webcams of animals in the wild which are great for their home learning, but everyone needs a little fun distraction and these 360-degree ride-through videos of the most popular Disney rides provide just that.

Watching the Disney virtual rides gives you a really immersive experience, especially on a big screen and is as close to ‘The Most Magical Place on Earth’ as you can get while the Disney parks are closed. Even when the parks open again, watching these video clips will help enormously with your Disney holiday planning, especially if you’re completely new to the Disney parks.

We took the kids to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World Florida when they were very small. It was our first time visiting a Disney park and we felt a little overwhelmed when planning the trip.

We wanted to make sure that we covered as much as possible in the time we had. Because of their age, we didn’t do too many rides but it was a great introduction to taking kids on safari !

Had we been able to watch these videos of Disney rides, we would have known which rides to prioritise to make the most of our Disney World holidays.

Make sure to read here if you’re looking for things to do in Florida with kids .

Disney World Virtual Tour: The Ultimate AT HOME Itinerary

Need a bit of Disney magic right now? You and me both!

Disney World Virtual Tour: The Ultimate AT HOME Itinerary-The Adventuring Millennial

Why don’t we take a Disney World Virtual Tour?

Sure, it’s not the same as physically going to the parks. But this is the best we can do right now and I’ll take it.

As I mentioned in my last Virtual Travel post , feel free to use this itinerary as a guide or a starting point for your own creativity. I’m definitely not encouraging you to run out to the store to gather the supplies I mention below. See what you already have that you can work with or use this to plan ahead for your next grocery order.

Oh, just a head’s up- we might hop around to a few other Disney- related sites. We will mostly “visit” Disney World, but the best thing about virtual travel is you can cover way more ground than normal.

Alright, put on your Mickey ears & get ready to use your imagination!

Disney World Virtual Tour: The Ultimate AT HOME Itinerary-The Adventuring Millennial

I always love starting my Disney days at the Magic Kingdom, so we are going to do just that! Put on this Youtube video and pretend that you are riding down Main Street USA in an Omnibus .

After you travel down Main Street, it’s time for our first ride- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ! You have to get this one in early before the line gets too long, right?

Let’s take advantage of the low, early morning crowds and hit another ride. Maybe Big Thunder Mountain Railway ?

Breakfast & a Show

disney virtual tour rides

Alright, now that you’ve gotten in a few rides, head back to Main Street to grab breakfast. My perfect Magic Kingdom breakfast is a Starbucks + a waffle from Sleepy Hollow that I enjoy while listening to the Dapper Dans or watching the Trolley Show.

Heres how you can recreate that:

  • Sleepy Hollow Waffle Recipes
  • Coffee- either get Starbucks to go or just make some coffee at home
  • #VoicesFromHome: Dapper Dans
  • Magic Kingdom Trolley Show

Late Morning

After breakfast, we are going to do one of my all-time favorite Disney activities. No it’s not a ride or a parade.

It’s a drawing class!

These used to be a staple of my Hollywood Studios days. Now they exist in Animal Kingdom and California Adventure . I kind of feel like soaking up some California vibes, so let’s magically hop over there!

Disney has released a few videos HERE and HERE where you can learn to draw Rapunzel, Olaf, Ariel, Mater and more!

After a drawing class or two, let’s ride another attraction before lunch. Settle in for a ride through Disneyland’s it’s a Small World or if you are feeling brave, strap in for the Incredicoaster .

Yes, I know we are “in” California now instead of Florida, but hey- that’s the plus side of virtual travel! You can go anywhere you want at any time.

Lunch & a Parade

Alright, for lunch here are some fun recipes to try. But really, there are SO many lunch options in Disney World so get creative with what you have.

  • Woody’s Lunchbox Grilled Cheese Sandwich
  • Walt’s Chili
  • Chicken Strawberry Salad from the Plaza Restaurant – I don’t have a recipe for this one but it is made with greens, grilled chicken, gorgonzola, strawberries, and a sweet white zinfandel vinaigrette. You might not all have the ingredients (I definitely don’t) but if you want something lighter use this as a salad inspiration.

Want a show with lunch? Who doesn’t?

Why not watch the new Magic Happens Parade or listen to the JAMMitors rock it out from home (or both)!

disney virtual tour rides

Ready to ride a few more rides, enjoy a snack, then head to happy hour? Sounds like a great afternoon to me!

Enjoy a trip on one (or all) of these great attractions. It’s such a perk that we don’t have to wait in line!

  • Slinky Dog Dash
  • Expedition Everest
  • Splash Mountain
  • Enchanted Tiki Room
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Frozen Ever After

Ready for a snack? Is it really a Disney day if you don’t have one of these iconic treats?

  • Churro Bites
  • Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats

While you are making and eating your afternoon snack, you could always put on another parade because why not?! How about the Festival of Fantasy Parade .

Alright, once you’re ready it’s time for happy hour! My favorite place for a drink on Disney property is Trader Sams at the Polynesian Resort.

To get there, let’s take a monorail ride . (Yes this is a video of the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian. So thankful for these creative people right about now!)

Once you get there- put on this Trader Sams music loop for some ambiance.

For your drinks, you have some options:

  • You could just make a non-alcoholic Dole Whip . It’s not exactly a drink but its a SUPER classic treat!
  • Here’s a recipe for the Boozy Dole Whip I always order a Trader Sams
  • Inside the Magic shared recipes for the “Shipwreck on the Rocks” and “Krakatoa Punch” drinks on their site

Get creative with what you have. Any sort of tiki drink will work!

Oh, and if you have Disney+ maybe put on the Lava short. The ukulele player at Trader Sams always seems to perform that song when I’m there.

Dinner + Dessert

disney virtual tour rides

There are so many places to go for dinner in Disney. Where will you choose? Here are some fun copycat recipes to try, but you can always just cut your food into a Mickey shape if you want. That absolutely works too!

  • Jiko’s Macaroni and Cheese
  • California Grill’s Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli
  • Be Our Guest Restaurant Salmon with Leek Fondue
  • Blue Bayou’s Monte Cristo Sandwich
  • Chef Art Smith’s Chicken and Dumplings

If you want another dessert, how about a Magic Cookie Bar or the Grey Stuff ?

For some background music during all of this, check out Magic Kingdom: Entrance Audio Loop on Youtube.

Fireworks + A Parade + a Movie

End your evening with some of Disney’s best nighttime entertainment!

  • Watch the Happily Ever After Fireworks
  • Enjoy Paint the Night (my all-time favorite Disney parade!)
  • Be immersed in Fantasmic!

If you’re not quite ready to end your Disney World Virtual Tour, why not put on a classic Disney movie. There are so many options on Disney+ so pick one out and enjoy a bit more of the magic!

I hope you enjoyed this Disney World Virtual Tour! I had a ton of fun “visiting” the parks. Have you been taking any other virtual travels? Or is there somewhere you’d like to see a virtual itinerary for? Let me know below!

Take the Ultimate Virtual Tour of EPCOT

As much as we may like to, we can’t always be at Walt Disney World.  So I’ve put together the next best thing!  Join me for a virtual tour of EPCOT, including the attractions and shows that make this park truly magical.

The Ultimate Virtual Tour of EPCOT

EPCOT was the second park to open at Walt Disney World Resort, debuting to the public in 1982.  Its name represents Walt Disney’s “Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.”  It hosts a permanent World’s Fair, representing technology, nature, culture, and the human spirit.   It currently offers two themed lands:

Future World

World showcase.

You can learn more about EPCOT  here .

Virtual tours are a great way to explore the parks from home.  Set the scene with some Mouse Ears, a few Mickey-shaped treats, and Disney-inspired outfits.  Keep a notebook handy to write down ideas for things you see that you’d love to include in your next visit to EPCOT.

Quick Note: EPCOT is in the middle of an exciting transformation!  In the coming years, new lands and experiences will debut at this park.  For now, I’ve included a virtual tour of its current state.  Just keep in mind that entertainment offerings are subject to change (but they’re still fun to enjoy from home).  For a look at what EPCOT will become, take a look at Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the EPCOT Experience:

Let’s get started!

Future World represents the relationships between nature and technology that carry us forward. Here we can dive under the sea or fly to Mars, and just about everything in between. Enjoy some background music to kick off our tour of this land.

12 Virtual Disney Rides That Will Turn Your Home Into the Most Magical Place on Earth

Disney World and Disneyland may be closed, but you can still experience their top attractions on YouTube.

virtual disney rides

Of course, you can't spend a day at Disney without indulging in an array of snacks, so pop some popcorn and bust out your Mickey-shaped waffle maker before you watch. Now, it's time to bring on the magic (and pixie dust)!

Frozen Ever After

You've already watched Frozen 2 on Disney+ more times than you can count, so take things up a notch by reliving the magic of Arendelle in this virtual boat-ride attraction.

Expedition Everest

If you're a thrill seeker in need of some (virtual) excitement, hop on a train and ride through Mount Everest's winding trail. Bonus points if you successfully escape the Yeti's wrath.

Avatar Flight of Passage

On an average day, you'll have to wait hours to score a seat on this popular Animal Kingdom ride. Now, you can climb atop a banshee to get a clear view of Pandora’s incredible landscape — without even leaving your couch.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Happy? Sleepy? Grumpy? No matter which dwarf you resonate with most, grab a seat on the rustic mine train to get an inside look at the diamond mine from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs .

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Even if you haven't had a chance to make it to the parks to see Star Wars Galaxy Edge IRL , you can experience its super-galactic thrill minus the crowds and long wait times.

It's a Small World

There's just something about humming along to "it's a small world" that takes you back to your childhood. And now you can share the experience with your children, and use it as an opportunity to teach them about the seven continents.

Soarin' Around the World

Sit back, relax, and take in the sights and sounds of all that the world has to offer, ranging from the Taj Mahal to the rushing waters of Niagara Falls, in this family-friendly favorite.

Ariel's Undersea Adventure

Go under the sea with Ariel and friends in this sing-a-long ride, featuring The Little Mermaid 's biggest hits like "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," and "Kiss the Girl."

Splash Mountain

Or if you're dreaming of sunnier days, then take a splash through Briar Patch with Br’er Rabbit and his furry pals.

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

Put this video on the big screen and travel through four generations of change — er, progress — with Walt Disney as your guide. Bonus: It serves as a friendly reminder that "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day."

Magic Happens Parade

Since it'll be some time until you can walk down Main Street U.S.A. or see Sleeping Beauty's Castle in all its glory, get a glimpse of brighter days when Disneyland was bustling with guests, performers, and characters.

Happily Ever After Fireworks Show

Because no trip to Disney is complete without a larger-than-life fireworks display. In this 20-minute presentation, take a trip through Disney's movie past with musical performances from Moana , Frozen , The Little Mermaid , The Lion King , The Jungle Book , and more.

Step by Step: How To Use the Virtual Queue To Ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World

By Lisa Gilmore 2 Comments

Who’s ready to journey down into the Bayou?

disney virtual tour rides

The NEW Magic Kingdom ride  Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is open NOW  (on  June 28th ), and now that it’s open to everyone, we’re here to tell you how the queue and boarding process will work. As many fans predicted, the ride uses a virtual queue  to manage demand, and  now we know exactly how that virtual queue works .

Disney announced that  Tiana’s Bayou Adventure uses a virtual queue  in Magic Kingdom . This has become Disney’s go-to strategy for managing demand for popular rides. A couple of other rides that have a virtual queue in Disney World right now include  Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind  and  TRON Lightcycle / Run .

disney virtual tour rides

“To all who come to this happy place, welcome.” — Walt Disney

Here, we’ll be covering a step-by-step guide for getting in the virtual queue, but if you’d like to skip to a specific topic, check these articles out below:

  • What is a Virtual Queue?
  • Which Attractions Use a Virtual Queue?
  • What Do I Need to Enter a Virtual Queue?
  • How Do I Enter a Virtual Queue in Disney World?
  • How Do I Enter a Virtual Queue in Disneyland?
  • What if I Don’t Get a Spot in a Virtual Queue?

But now, onto the step-by-step guide!

What’s a Virtual Queue?

Let’s start at the beginning. A virtual queue  is a tool available through the  My Disney Experience app (Disney World) or the Disneyland app  (Disneyland Resort) that allows guests to reserve a space in line for the most popular park attractions ahead of time from their phones . If you’re able to secure a spot in the virtual queue, you will be assigned a boarding group, and then you’ll use that individual boarding pass to enter the line when it’s time to ride.

disney virtual tour rides

Having a virtual queue means there is no standby line available, so you have only two options to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: the virtual queue or buying an Individual Lightning Lane . Disney did share that this could change in the future, but for now, there is no traditional standby line.

What Do I Need For The Virtual Queue?

Here’s everything you need to access the virtual queue through the My Disney Experience App:

  • A  registered account  on the  My Disney Experience app
  • If you’re an Annual Passholder, a   Park Pass reservation  for Magic Kingdom is required for the 7AM drop .
  • For the 1PM drop, guests are required to be INSIDE Magic Kingdom .

The virtual queue works exactly the same as the one for TRON Lightcycle/Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind; you can hop from another park and join the virtual queue once you enter Magic Kingdom in the afternoon, IF spots are still available.

disney virtual tour rides

Preparing to Join The Virtual Queue

You’ll first want to make sure that you have the  My Disney Experience app installed on your phone and that it’s updated to the latest version.

disney virtual tour rides

Sign into your Disney account  and check that the following things are linked to your account:

  • Valid admission tickets;
  • Disney Park Pass Reservations;
  • The accounts of any family and friends who are visiting the park with you and wish to be in the same boarding group.

Booking The Reservation

The virtual queue will open at 7AM and again at 1PM . You can be anywhere for the first opportunity but must be in Magic Kingdom to snag one at 1PM.

Step 1: Confirm Your Party

You can confirm your party up to an hour in advance of the virtual queue opening. This will help ensure everyone is linked to the reservation.

disney virtual tour rides

Make sure you have the right people on your list!

On the app, under “Join Virtual Queue,” you’ll find a button that says “Confirm Your Party.”

Step 2: Join The Virtual Queue

At EXACTLY 7AM (or 1PM), join the virtual queue by clicking the button . We suggest using a world clock on another device to be accurate to the second.

disney virtual tour rides

From here, move quickly through the prompts to land that Virtual Queue spot! These spots are gone in seconds, so when we say move fast, we really mean it.

Step 3: Celebrate or Go To Plan B

The app will notify you immediately  if you have successfully booked a space in the Virtual Queue with an assigned Boarding Group Number.

disney virtual tour rides

If you’re successful in joining the queue,  you will receive a boarding group . Disney calls boarding groups back in sections, and once your group is called back, you’ll receive a notification from the My Disney Experience app telling you to head back to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.  You’ll have one hour to return once your group is called.

Although Disney doesn’t give you a return time, you can track the progress of the virtual queue on the app to get a fairly good estimate of when your group will be called.

If you have not received a boarding group, you can choose to buy Genie+ , soon to be called Lightning Lane Multi Pass, to ride the attraction. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is one of the many rides included in Disney’s paid skip-the-line service. While it may be expensive, these will also book up fast , so we suggest grabbing a Lightning Lane reservation ASAP if you really want to ride.

disney virtual tour rides

During the first few weeks that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is open, it may be more challenging to secure a boarding group than once the ride is open for a few months. On the first day of the opening, virtual queue spots were gone within a few seconds at the 7AM drop . You have to be FAST.

disney virtual tour rides

And that’s it! Your step-by-step guide to booking a spot in the virtual queue for this popular new ride. Check out our 5 additional tips for grabbing a boarding pass you don’t want to miss, and stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!

Hi Kristin! Most likely the Virtual Queue will still be utilized. When I went to the Christmas party last year, party guests were able to join the queue for TRON at 6pm so I’m thinking Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be the same way, but we’ll find out more closer to the party.

With nearly twice the amount of drones as Disney World’s summer show, a new show produced by Tokyo Disney will tour Japan festivals this summer.

Disney drone show on tour in Japan

“Magic in the Air,” a new nighttime production from Tokyo Disney Resort, will tour the country of Japan “this summer and beyond,” Disney announced today.

The show will utilize 1,500 drones. For those keeping score, that’s 700 more than Walt Disney World’s new drone show (“ Disney Dreams That Soar ” at Disney Springs) and 900 more than Universal Orlando’s (“ CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular ” at Universal Studios Florida).

The first stop of “Magic in the Air” will commence July 20, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the Abekawa (Abe River) Fireworks Festival in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka. Thereafter, the production will continue to make stops at additional, to-be-announced festivals. The show will be 15 minutes long.

During “Magic in the Air,” the drones will form the shapes of Mickey Mouse, Belle, Beast, and more Disney friends.

Going to Disneyland? Here's the best way to skip the lines.

I t’s a truth universally acknowledged in the post-Fast Pass Disneyland era: If you want a shortcut, you’re going to have to pay for it. But not all rides are worth using Genie+ Lightning Lanes for, and not all strategies for utilizing the paid line-skipping service are created equal. And, in a time when the systems are increasingly complex and challenging, you’re definitely going to need a strategy in place.

Disney Genie+ is the paid service implemented in 2021, managed through the Disneyland app, which replaced the previously free Fast Passes that Disneyland offered before the park’s pandemic closure. It starts at $30 per person, and can cost more than that, although Magic Key annual passholders get a 20% discount. Genie+ charges a flat fee to access any of the 22 eligible rides with faster Lightning Lane queues throughout the day, like Indiana Jones Adventure, Incredicoaster, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and Soarin’ Around the World. There are also rides that require Individual Lighting Lane entry, like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers. Entry to the faster lane on those extremely popular e-ticket attractions costs anywhere from $15-$25 per ride, per person.

The way you book these Lightning Lanes is twofold. One: you can book a Lightning Lane as soon as you use your previous one (as in, in the ride queue). Two: if your ride time is longer than two hours away, you can book another at the two-hour mark. Set your phone timer as a reminder, because you will definitely not remember down to the minute in the park.

In June, Disney announced changes coming to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland’s Genie+ service, which will take effect on July 24. Most of the changes only affect WDW, such as guests having the ability to book in advance, even before arriving in Orlando, but one major change is also coming to Disneyland. On that date, Genie+ will become “Lighting Lane Multi Pass.” The Individual Lightning Lanes will become “Lightning Lane Single Pass.” The goal is to make the confusing terminology a little bit easier to understand: the “multi pass” is about $30 for multiple rides, and the “single pass” is $15-25 for one single ride.

“We look forward to introducing new, simpler names for the attraction access offerings at Disneyland Resort as part of our ongoing commitment to making a visit to our theme parks easier to navigate,” Disneyland officials told SFGATE.

The fact of the matter is that Disneyland is more popular than it’s ever been, and if you’re going during peak times like summer break, the lines are going to be long. It hurts to fork over another $30 on top of your park ticket, but to me, it comes down to cost vs. value. If you can swing the extra cash and it allows you to ride another four or five rides per day, isn’t that a much smarter expenditure?

My least favorite element of Genie+ (soon to be Lightning Lane Multi Pass) is that you can’t start booking Lightning Lanes until you’re scanned into the park for the day. This strongly favors rope-droppers (Disney parlance for people who arrive at park opening ) and disadvantages people who prefer to sleep in, arrive at the park a little later, and stay until closing. If you choose to arrive later in the day, there’s a good chance that Lightning Lane spots for the most in-demand rides will already be gone, or they’ll be for entry into those ride queues at the end of the night.

Strategy 1: Best Rides are Best

If you have a single “must ride” that your day will be ruined without, book that one first, even if it’s not the most popular ride of the day. None of this is worth it unless you’re living your best Disney life.

That said, Space Mountain and Indiana Jones Adventure are the rides that fill up first. Grab Lightning Lanes for those as early in the day as you can. Indy tends to go down for short periods throughout the day, so you might have a Lightning Lane during a ride closure. In that instance, you’re issued a multi-attraction Lightning Lane that you can use whenever you want.

Not far behind those two are Matterhorn Bobsleds, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Toy Story: Midway Mania! Those are smart to grab sooner rather than later, lest you risk riding at 11 p.m. (or not at all).  When Haunted Mansion reopens in the fall , it will be on a virtual queue system, but otherwise, you can count on Haunted Mansion Holiday being among the very top wait times, and regular Haunted Mansion sometimes being an easy wait without a Lightning Lane.

Strategy 2: Stacking is Your Friend

If I’m getting to the park early in the morning, I love to stack my Lightning Lanes. When you “stack,” you book a Lightning Lane for much later in the day, then set a timer and book another one at two hours. Using this method, I spend a leisurely morning having breakfast , going on rides with lower wait times (all rides tend to have much shorter queues in the morning) and generally soaking in the atmosphere. Then, in the afternoon or evening when my energy and patience are wearing thin, I have several Lightning Lanes that I can use back to back. It makes for an easy, fun day that feels like I’m barely waiting in lines at all.

Strategy 3: Pay Attention to Wait Times

If you go to Disneyland (or pay attention to the Disneyland app) often enough to generally have a sense of average wait times for attractions, use that to your advantage when booking Lightning Lanes. On a day when Soarin’ is averaging 20 or 30 minutes, don’t waste a Lightning Lane on it unless the ride is available to book and ride immediately.

Instead, choose to wait the 20 minutes, and use your Lightning Lane for something with a longer average wait, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This is especially true with rides like Incredicoaster, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, It’s a Small World, The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure and Star Tours. Even if the waits happen to be high for those when you check, you’ll almost definitely encounter a 15-20 minute queue later, whereas you’ll rarely see a line that short for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway or Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, especially in the middle of the day.

Strategy 4: Be Careful of Park Hopping Overload

If you’re not careful about which Lightning Lanes you’re booking at what times, you could easily find yourself bouncing back and forth from Disneyland to Disney California Adventure all day long. Even if you’re only jumping from New Orleans Square to Tomorrowland to Adventureland to Galaxy’s Edge, that’s going to drain your energy faster and waste a lot more time than being strategic about where and when your next Lightning Lane will be.

Try to book your Lightning Lanes so that they naturally progress to rides in lands adjacent to each other. Or, if you know you definitely want to have lunch or dinner at a specific place, book your Lightning Lanes for immediately before and after your meal at attractions close to that restaurant. Your feet (and your phone battery) will thank you.

THEN AND NOW: How Your Favorite Disney World Rides Have CHANGED Since They First Opened

disney virtual tour rides

The more things change…

disney virtual tour rides

Walt Disney once famously said that “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world,” and over the years, that has proven true for all of the company’s theme parks. In Walt Disney World’s 5+ decade history, the resort’s theme parks have seen plenty of changes, with new cutting edge attractions replacing old favorites. However, changes aren’t limited to replacements. Some of Disney World’s most iconic attractions are technically still there, but have changed a GREAT deal over the years.

Pirates of the Caribbean

There’s no denying that Pirates of the Caribbean has been one of Disney’s most popular attractions since the day the Disneyland original first opened in 1967. In fact, the ride wasn’t initially planned for Walt Disney World — Imagineers thought Florida audiences would find pirates mundane — and was quickly greenly and added to the park (at the expense of Marc Davis’s Western River Expedition) after many guests complained about the lack of pirates when the resort opened in 1971.

disney virtual tour rides

However, despite that popularity, the ride has been changed considerably over the years. There have been TWO major instances of the ride being refurbished to line up better with modern cultural sensibilities. In 1997,   scenes of male pirates chasing women, was altered,   with two now showing pirates chasing the women in pursuit of food the women were carrying, and third reversing the scenario and featuring a woman chasing one of the pirates. In addition, the well-known “Pooped Pirate” who was exhausted from chasing a woman who was now hiding in a barrel behind   was recast as a “Gluttonous Pirate” in search of food, while the woman hiding in the barrel was replaced by a cat.

The second major cultural change happened in 2017, when the bridal auction scene was altered. The redheaded captive who was previously being auctioned off by the pirates was changed to a pirate herself, who was helping the auctioneer sell off the stolen belongings of the townspeople.

disney virtual tour rides

Pirates other big change wasn’t inspired by cultural sensitivity, but rather box office success. In 2006, after the massive success of the P irates of the Caribbean film series based on the attraction, Disney added animatronics of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow as well as other elements of the films to the ride, altering its plot considerably and tying it to the cinematic narrative.

Spaceship Earth

EPCOT’s iconic attraction has seen several major changes over the years, with major updates in 1986, 1994, and 2007.

disney virtual tour rides

The initial version of the attraction was narrated by actor Vic Perrin, and featured a large space station final featuring astronauts at the top of the sphere. This version was updated in 1986, with new narration from Walter Cronkite and additional scenes including a “paperless office” and a young boy working on a computer added near the end. The first half of the ride remained mostly unchanged.

Spaceship Earth was refurbished again in 1994, headlined by new narration from Jeremy Irons. Once again, the first half of the ride remained mostly unchanged, while the second was changed drastically. Three scenes, including the two added in 1986, were replaced by a new single new scene depicting a boy and girl using the Internet to video call between America and Japan. The space station and astronauts were removed from the climax, and the descent was also overhauled with new scenes depicting communication of the future.

disney virtual tour rides

Finally, the most recent Spaceship Earth refurbishment was completed in late 2007. New narration was provided by Judi Dench, a new musical score by Bruce Broughton and new “costumes, lighting, projections, props and audio-animatronic figures.” Several scenes were changed, including the former Greek play becoming a mathematics lesson, and the aforementioned video call between the boy and girl with new scenes depicting the creation of mainframe computers and the personal computer, with vague reference to Apple specifically. On the descent, an interactive touch screen system was installed in the ride vehicles that allowed riders can choose their vision of the future.   A major refurbishment was scheduled for the early 2020s, but was canceled in the fallout of the Pandemic.

Journey Into Imagination

Speaking of ECPOT, the park is the site of arguably Disney’s most controversial ride refurbs of all time: The saga of Journey into Imagination.

disney virtual tour rides

In March of 1983, Journey into Imagination (which was supposed to open with the rest of the park in 1982, but was hit with delays) opened at EPCOT to widespread acclaim. The attraction followed the affable Dreamfinder and his sidekick Figment on a journey through the very concept of imagination. The ride was hugely popular, and Figment became the mascot of the park in many ways.

disney virtual tour rides

The ride was still a fan-favorite heading into the new millennium, but then-sponsor Kodak wanted a new ride. So, the attraction was refurbished — AKA gutted and shortened considerably — into Journey into YOUR Imagination. The new attraction did away with both Dreamfinder and Figment, replacing them with a story about the Imagination Institute tied to Honey I Shrunk the Audience. The ride was, to put it mildly, unpopular. In fact there was so much outrage that the ride closed within two years.

disney virtual tour rides

Journey into YOUR Imagination was retooled into Journey into Imagination with Figment. The are attraction is still a shadow of the original, but does feature heavy does of Figment and has bene a presence at EPCOT since it opened since 2002. That said, we would love to see another update — possibly with the return of Dreamfinder — in the future.

Hollywood Studios

When Disney’s Hollywood Studios first opened in 1989 as the Disney/MGM Studios, the theme park portion of it was actually viewed as secondary to the fact that it was a real functioning film and animation studio. In fact, the park’s two premiere attractions at opening were the Backlot Tour and the Magic of Disney Animation studio tour. The entire development was part of Disney’s plan to turn Orlando into a “Hollywood of the East” (and, depending what theme park urban legend you believe, possibly Michael Eisner’s way of sticking it to Universal).

disney virtual tour rides

By the time the park’s name changed Hollywood Studios in early 2008, it was literally just a studio in name only. These days, the park is defined by massive IP-based lands like Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land , with any hints of its studio past being few and far between,

Speaking of the Studios park, one of its first major non-studio attractions was the Walt Disney World version of Star Tours . The simulator ride set in the Star Wars galaxy, which was already a classic at Disneyland, remained unchanged for over 20 years, despite promises from George Lucas that the ride film would be updated. Finally, in 2010, the ride was closed for a refurbishment and reopened as Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. The new version features interchange scenes that combine to create hundreds of possible ride experiences. Disney continues to add new scenes to the attraction to this day.

disney virtual tour rides

Kilimanjaro Safaris

The biggest appeal of the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction at Animal Kingdom is the reality of it. The realistic African setting, the real animals, the unplanned interactions, etc. Which makes it even stranger that Disney initially had a contrived poaching storyline as part of the attraction, complete with animatronic animals! The storyline was eventual phased out of the attraction, and it’s all the better for it.

Disney Just Announced Major Changes to Its Genie+ System — What to Know

The updates will start on July 24.

disney virtual tour rides

Travel + Leisure/Christine Burroni

The Genie is back in the bottle for good. Announced on Tuesday, the current Disney Genie+ system will be replaced by two new systems: Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass.

According to the Disney Parks Blog post, one major change is that visitors will be able to pre-book their ride times up to 14 days ahead of their whole vacation instead of at 7 a.m. in the morning of heading into one of the parks. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass, formerly Disney Genie+, will offer expedited lines to most attractions where guests will be able to purchase and reserve up to three rides in one theme park ahead of their visit within the My Disney Experience app. Once in the parks, after using their first selection, guests can choose another one, and so forth.

The Lightning Lane Multi Pass will categorize attractions in two tiers: the first group will include higher demand attractions, like Slinky Dog Dash and new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure , with the second from a larger attraction listing, including Star Tours: The Adventure. Those using this service can select 1 attraction from the first group and 2 attractions from the second group.

In demand rides, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle/Run, will not be included in the Multi Pass, but will be available via purchase of a Single Pass, formerly known as individual Lightning Lane entry. Up to two selections can be purchased per day in advance. A free virtual queue option will continue to be offered for both.

Guests of Disney World resort hotels and select other resorts (Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green) will have first crack at both options up to 7 days in advance of arrival and have the option to book their entire stay up to 14 nights. All other guests, including annual passholders, can plan up to 3 days in advance. After the first 3 selections, guests with Annual Passes or valid park hopper tickets may choose attractions at another park. If plans change, guests can modify their existing reservations, availability pending.

Park goers may purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, or both. For added convenience, there will be a new option to purchase both in a single transaction within the My Disney Experience app. Much like the current Disney Genie+, dynamic pricing will be used, with prices based on date and desired theme park.

The major change comes as a direct result of guest feedback.

“We’re focused on helping guests maximize their vacation time and have more fun,” Disney shared. “We are always listening to our guests and continue to introduce ways to improve and simplify their experience, all while providing more value.”

These recent efforts include bringing back pre-pandemic staples, like the return of Disney dining plans and all-day park hopper access. The new Lightning Lane systems blend what has worked with the current version of Genie+ with the former FastPass+ system.

Disneyland will also use the new system names, Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, beginning July 24 but the current ways guests purchase, select, and redeem Lightning Lane passes will remain the same. Just like Genie+, Lighting Lane Multi Pass will include complimentary downloads of Disney PhotoPass attraction photos and videos. Guests can modify existing ride reservations directly within the app, which has received a series of upgrades over the last year to streamline its other features, including dining reservations and mobile food ordering.
