As much as I talk about wanting to live on a sailboat but the truth is I’ve never been on a sailboat for longer than a day trip. So when the opportunity came up for a three-day sailing trip through Belize with Raggamuffin tours, I had to find out if the sailor life is the life for me. Spoiler alert: It’s awesome!

Raggamuffin Tours, based out of Caye Caulker, runs a three-day sailing tour from Caye Caulker to Daidringa (never in reverse). There are over 265 Cayes (pronounced keys, meaning island) in the waters of Belize, which means there is an awful lot of exploring to be done.

Raggamuffin tours take you on an epic journey snorkeling, fishing, and island hopping through some of the most beautiful spots in Belize. In this post, I’ll go over what you can expect on a Raggamuffin tour to help prepare and make the most of the tour!

How to Book a sailing trip in Belize with Raggamuffin Tours

To find out more information about Raggamuffin tours, read reviews, or book a tour visit their website or the tour office in Caye Caulker . If you knowf the dates you want to take the tour then I recommend booking it in advance, as they do book up especially during peak season (mid-November to mid-May).

In typical fashion, I booked my trip to Belize only a few days before my flight departed. I contacted Raggamuffin right away to request the trip only to find out they were full. However, they advised me to visit the office when I arrived in Caye Caulker, in case someone canceled. It wasn’t until the last minute, literally minutes before they departed, that one person didn’t show up and I was able to take their spot. Thanks, Mark!

The cost of the tour is $400 USD which is all-inclusive. You can pay part of this on credit card but they require you to pay at least $100 in cash. The cost of the tour covers everything, as they supply all food, booze, activities, and accommodations.

Caye Caulker

The Raffamuffin tour office is in Caye Caulker , Belize, about a 5-minute walk from the main pier. Caye Caulker is a small, laid back island. You can walk or cycle around the entire island, there are no cars there!

Getting to Caye Caulker : Take a taxi to the ferry terminal in Belize city from the international airport. The cost of the taxi is $25 USD, which is a government-set price. At the ferry terminal, you can catch a boat to Caye Caulker which takes about an hour. There are a number of companies that run and the cost of the ferry is $25 USD Return. It is possible to book online in advance,  but the boats are so frequent that you won’t have a problem to show up and catch one.

Where to stay:  The first time I visited Caye Caulker I stayed at  Dirty McNasty’s Party Hostel . This place is exactly as it sounds. If you want a party hostel, it can be a good time, but otherwise, I’d recommend somewhere else. This time around I stayed at  Yuma’s House , which has much more of a chill vibe. It’s still a social hostel, but you can actually sleep there.

Day 1: Departure from Caye Caulker to Rendezvous Caye

The staff will ask you to be at the office at 7:30 am if you have a large-sized bag so they can store it under the boat. If you only have a small-sized backpack then you can take it on the boat with you and show up 8:30 am instead.

They don’t provide breakfast that morning so grab something in Caye Caulker before you go. Right next to the Raggamuffin tours office is a lovely cafe called Ice and Beans. They do great Iced Lattes and bagels!           View this post on Instagram

I was traveling solo but met one of the guys on the same tour while diving, so we boarded the boat together and met our fellow sailing mates.

I expected the crowd to be mostly backpackers, as this was the case in the other boat trips I’ve taken through the San Blas Islands and with TAO in the Philippines. However, Raggamuffin tours is somewhat different.

There were a representative number of backpackers, but also three families on the boat, so the age range was anywhere from 16-50! All the said we all got on well with each other and had a great time. I mean can you really go wrong with endless rum, sunshine, and a sailboat?

We got to know each other quickly as the crew hands out generous amounts of never-ending rum punch. But if you want to have some time to yourself, there’s space for that too.

There is a catamaran at the front of the sailboat which seems like the prime spot to be, but it’s also the riskiest spots in terms of getting sunburnt. The safest spot is at the back of the boat to where the captain sits, it’s fairly shaded there. You can go to the inside of the sailboat but there isn’t much space to move around. Luggage and supplies take up the rooms and the kitchen is occupied by the chef making amazing food, so you don’t want to disrupt him!

So, what can you do on the sailboat besides drink rum?

Raggamuffin tours take you to some pretty epic snorkeling spots. Belize has the largest second barrier reef in the world, and the coolest part about taking a sailing tour is that you get to stop at several marine reserves that aren’t easily accessible otherwise.

I feel like diving has kind of ruined snorkeling for me, but even these sites impressed me. During our snorkels, we saw spotted eagle rays, stingrays, turtles, and many beautiful and healthy coral reefs. We also saw dolphins from the boat!

One of the snorkeling spots is next to Goff’s Caye, a beautiful little island that you can swim to and explore.

If you love to fish then this trip is for you. They have hand lines, trawling rods, spin rods and a spear gun on board, and encourage you to fish while we sail through the waters. The crew are also legends at spearfishing and will take groups to try it out during snorkeling stops.

I’m not into fishing, but the people who participated loved this aspect of the trip. Plus, you’ll become everyone’s favorite if you catch something yummy to eat! Whatever you catch become’s the chef’s ‘catch of the day’ special, and gets served to everyone at supper. Don’t worry – there’s still lots of food to eat even if no one catches a fish!

Learn to sail

The crew is happy to teach you some tips about sailing and can definitely use a deck-hand if you want to get involved. The captain of the boat, Jerry, is an awesome friendly guy.

Rendezvous Caye

The first night we slept on Rendezvous Caye, which is not much more than a sandbar and a few palm trees. There aren’t any structures on the island so the crew brings tents for everyone along with sheets. Our group was at the max size which meant some people had to share a tent, but there were a few people that got their own. The tents are easy to set up and the crew is there to help you if you need it.

We arrived at the island just before sunset so we all got to watch the beautiful Caribbean sunset from our own private island. After another delicious meal, the booze keeps flowing on the island and we all had a great time. I loved getting to camp on our own island. Falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean, waking up to the sun, talk about paradise!

Day 2: Rendezvous Caye to Ragga Caye

The sun will wake you up bright and early for the second day where you will continue the journey from Rendezvous Caye to Ragga Caye. The activities on the second day are much the same as the first. Two stops for snorkeling, plus fishing, lots more rum, and just relaxing on the boat.  Don’t worry about being bored as the three day sailing trip is well-broken up by snorkeling stops and island exploration, so you never feel at sea for too long.

The second day we got to visit Tobacco Caye, where there are actually a couple of restaurants/bars. Everyone was excited to get some cold beer, and there were a few dogs on the island which excited me. After talking to the owners the restaurant I found out that you can actually stay on Tabacco Caye and go diving from there. This seems like it would be a cool experience and I’d love to try sleeping there for a few nights if I go back to Belize.

Later that afternoon, you arrive on Ragga Caye where you spend the night. On this island, they have structures set up to sleep in so you don’t have to camp. There are three private bungalows which you can pay extra to reserve, it’s $100 per couple. There are only three cabanas and they book up quickly so make sure you tell them in advance! Across from the bungalows, there is a building with four separate dorm rooms, each with two bunk beds inside it.

If you don’t want to stay in the dorms you also have the option to set up your tent from the night before anywhere on the island. But the dorms are nice. Actually nicer then some hostels I’ve stayed at, so I was happy to stay there.  No one on my crew bothered to set up a tent the second night. The biggest advantage of getting a private cabana is that you get your own bathroom. The dorm folk share two washrooms and they got gross, fast.

Ragga Caye also has a kitchen/dining area, so the chef prepares an even more impressive meal for everyone that night, followed by, of course, more rum. One of the aspects I was most impressed about on this tour was the quality of the food that the chef was able to prepare. He had a two-burner stove confined in a tiny sailboat kitchen yet fed us meals with 8 components. Meanwhile, I struggle to make rice at home! 😛

Day 3: Ragga Caye to Dangriga

After having breakfast on Ragga Caye the crew takes you on a small tour around the area. The first stop is a small island full of frigate birds which you can admire from the boat.

From there, we visited a manatee reserve area. I was SO excited about this, but disappointingly, we didn’t see any manatees that day. It is nature after all, and there are never any guarantees.

After the manatee reserve, you have the option to go for a final snorkel followed by a stop at Saltwater Caye. This beautiful island has a sand bar that goes out into the ocean which just looks like perfection. We all floated in the turquoise water soaking up the final piece of paradise!

After all the fun in the sun, you sail back to Ragga Caye for a final lunch and then two speedboats come to pick everyone up to take you to Dangriga. The speed boat takes about half an hour.

Where to go after Dangriga

It doesn’t seem like there’s much going on in Dangriga and no one from my tour stayed there afterward. Most people went to Hopkins or Placencia, which are about one to two hours away, respectively.

There are local buses you can catch about a 15-minute walk from where the boat drops you off, or you can arrange a taxi/shuttle. I didn’t book any transport in advance but as soon as I got off the boat I met a local who was driving to Placencia, and he took me and my friend for the cost of the bus!

Placencia is a nice town and the spot to be if you want to try your luck diving with whale sharks. If you want to go diving in the blue hole , head back to Caye Caulker or San Pedro!

Another place you could head after is San Ignacio, just two hours away and home to some impressive Mayan ruins. Or if you’re on the Central America backpacker trail, head over to Guatemala, a country full adventure!

Tips to make the most of your Raggamuffin Tour

Sea Sickness – No one on my tour was badly affected by seasickness but a couple of people including myself felt nauseous on the first day (could have also been the beers from the night before…). The crew has seasickness tablets on the boat but they made me super sleepy. Another girl on my tour had these motion sickness patches that you place behind your ear and swore by them. Might be worth it if you’re prone to seasickness!

Insurance – No one likes to think about something bad happening on vacation but the truth is they can and it’s important to protect yourself in case of an emergency. If an accident happens and you have to be taken back to the mainland to go to the hospital then it’s not going to be cheap so protect yourself with travel insurance.  I recommend World Nomads as travel insurance for Raggamuffin Tours as they cover a wide range of adventure activities, and are easy to claim with (speaking from experience)!

Extra food/booze – I didn’t bring any snacks with me and at no point did I regret that. The chef does an amazing job of preparing three meals a day as well as mid-afternoon snacks (ceviche). They also have chips and cookies which get handed out throughout the day.

I wouldn’t bring snacks unless there is something specific you want. As for booze, unless you only want to only drink rum then I recommend bringing your other drink of choice. They do supply you with generous amounts of local rum and mix (coke, Fanta, sprite, juice, etc.) but it’s super sweet and I got sick of it after a while. A couple of people on my boat brought beers in a cooler and I was super jealous.

Cash –  You don’t have to bring much cash with you on the trip. There are two islands you visit on the tour where you can buy  drinks and a few souvenirs but that’s it. Bring some cash to tip the guys at the end and for the bus/taxi onwards from Dangriga.

What to bring –  It’s no problem to bring all your bags on the sailboat but the crew will store large-sized bags under the boat, and you won’t be able to access them during the trip. Pack what you need for the three days in a smaller bag which you will have access to. Here’s what I recommend bringing on a Raggamuffin tour:

Packing List for Raggamuffin Tours in Belize

• Suncreen – Bring so much sunscreen! The Caribbean sun is hot, hot, and hot and I’ve never seen as many people get sunburnt as I have on this trip.  I was constantly applying it and still got burnt. Bring more sunscreen then you think you need!
• Sarong – great for lying on the beach and protecting you from the sun.
•  Sun hat & Sunglasses
• Towel – A towel for after swimming. I recommend the microfiber towels as they pack super light!
• Moisturizer/after sun
• Insect repellant
• Refillable water bottle – I love hydro flask because they keep your drinks cool for 24 hours
• Reusable Straw – Straws are great for drinking out of coconuts but the plastic ones are terrible for the environment. Take a reusable straw on your trip to cut back on your environmental footprint!
• Clothing: 1 – 2 pairs of shorts, 2-3 tops, 2 – 3 swimwear,  & 1 pair long sleeve shirt/pants for mosquitos
• Fins if you want them for snorkeling (masks and snorkel are provided)
• Sandals and Reef Shoes (the corals can be painful), and rash guard for snorkeling if you want extra protection from the sun
• Kindle – The sail boat is the perfect place to kick back and relax with a good book. Safe on space and bring a kindle with books downloaded beforehand. Plus the new Kindle is waterproof so you don’t need to worry about getting it wet!
• A deck of cards for playing games at night
• Portable battery bank  –  I love this one because it’s small and can charge your phone up to six times!
• A camera to capture the moment! GoPros are great for snorkeling.
• An open and adventurous mind!

This tour was created to take you away from the high traffic areas around Caye Caulker and Belize City to the remote cayes of the southern waters of Belize. The overnight is a sailing tour that is a one way trip. There is not a round trip, back to Caulker or San Pedro. Guests often use this change of location to explore the beautiful southern mainland of Belize and then eventually move onwards or come back to Caye Caulker. What is important to note in the structure of the journey gives the customer the maximum benefit to explore a large section of the reef over a short period of time. The tour sails entirely inside the inner reef where the calm waters ensure comfort.

Our guests sail off on an adventure of a lifetime at 9:00am from the Ragga Sailing Adventures office. Rendezvous Caye is the destination on the first day, but first Goff's or Sergeant's Caye with 2 snorkeling stops and fishing along the way. This day has the longest sailing times out of the three days (5-6 hours depending on the wind) as we make our way out of the well trafficked areas to the remote areas of more Southern waters. Rendezvous Caye we will set up tents and furnish them with our mats and sheets and the Chef will strike up the grill to cook the catch of the day. Sunset on Rendezvous Caye is truly spectacular and washed down with rum cocktails and ceviche, that is a memory that will last a lifetime.

Today we will make way to Tobacco Caye. Shorter sailing times for this day (4 -5 hours depending on the wind) with snorkeling at Colson Caye, Southern Long Caye Channel and Caye Glory with the loggerhead turtle and Caribbean stingrays. We stop for the night at the picturesque Tobacco Caye. Tobacco Caye is located off the Tobacco Caye range and located on Belize's barrier reef and has a unique charm like no other you will have seen. Here we still have the remote experience but we also have the added benefit with some creature comforts such as room or dormitory sleeping instead of tents. Once again the Chef will whip up a feast for all dietary needs and all washed down with local rum, gin or vodka drinks, juices, sodas and obviously water on tap. For those who want to upscale and have their own private shower facilities then we can offer either Ocean View rooms or over the water cabanas for an additional $100US per room. This will obviously depend on availability when making the reservation.

Last but not the least, day 3! We take the boat off the island for a long snorkel in the Channel off the beautiful South Water Caye and manatee watching. Passengers return in time for a BBQ lunch on the beach leaving sufficient time to rinse off before packing for the journey home. Departure will be at 2.30pm by motor boat into central Dangriga town, dropping off at the rivermouth by the Riverside Cafe. This journey will take 40 minutes and so the arrival time will be between 3:15 - 3:30pm (depending on how punctual departure time was).

Please note that the menu is fairly fish oriented however each evening meal we will add a chicken dish along with salad or veggie dishes and rice and or potatoes. When in season conch and fresh lobster will be served - shrimp throughout the year. All dietary requirements can be fulfilled as long as they are communicated to us in advance of the journey - nothing is too complicated! For those who have strong allergies to peanuts (there will be none on this trip) and for those with shellfish allergies, we are experienced in ensuring that the food preparation is perfectly safe for all guests. Throughout the day and night there will be water at all times - guests will be encouraged to drink water to avoid dehydration. Along with water we have juice and sodas. Alcoholic beverages are served at night with local rums, vodka and gin with all the necessary mixers. We do not carry beer with us on the trip as it requires too much refrigeration and that is impossible on a three day journey off the grid - sorry! However we can confirm that the bar at Tobacco Caye can serve some nicely chilled cold beers if guests prefer this rather than our selection.

The weather is a vital component to the trip's success however it is almost impossible to be 100% accurate about the weather. For a trip to be confirmed we need to have a forecast that can allow all passengers comfort. Cloud cover is not a reason to cancel a trip as clouds rarely stay around for more than a morning or an afternoon for us on the coast. However heavy rain for more than a morning or an afternoon is reason to either cancel the trip or even postpone. We also monitor the winds. Heavy winds with cool weather can make the trip uncomfortable but in the summer months the heavy winds can be great for sailing. Determining an accurate weather forecast will be done the eve of the trip, often in the afternoon. Generic apps that measure weather, however accurate in your home town, are not accurate for us along the coast. Let us take our experience to ascertain what is best. To do this we take advice from the Belize Met office in person, we take the time to call the Chief Forecaster directly and get their opinion. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel a trip if this information leads us to believe that the trip's success will be compromised due to the weather. This being said, most of the year we have good weather, with only rainfall at night and little or none during the day!

Our fleet of sailboats.

Ragga Phoenix is a 50 foot Fountain Pajot Saba 2019 catamaran. This boat is the largest of the fleet and is mostly used on the 3 day &2 night, overnight tours as she is a multi-level catamaran equipped with a galley, 4 showers and 4 bathrooms, large trampoline and shade areas. It can accommodate 14 - 24 guests. Coming Mid December 2023 or January 2024! Check out photos of Ragga Phoenix.

Ragga Gee is a 33 foot catamaran that is used fundamentally used for our Hol Chan Marine Reserve tours and Sunset tours. She has shade, fresh water for rinsing off, shaded seating area, bathroom and a covered galley. Check out photos of the Ragga Gee.

Summer Charm is a 33 foot catamaran. Summer Charm will be used for small trips of up to 13 passengers for the overnight sailing trip. Check out photos of the Summer Charm.

Ragga King is a 40ft Belizean built wooden boat with a gaff type rig.  This sailboat, due to the shape of her sail is unique to these waters and a favorite amongst tourists.  Ragga King, similar to Ragga Queen is used on the overnight sailing tours as well, as she is famous for her large spaces. Ragga Queen is a 50ft custom built Stonington with a ketch rig.  This boat is the largest of the fleet and is often used on the overnight tours as she is equipped with kitchen and shower facilities, not to mention huge shade areas. Check out photos of the Ragga Queen.

Ragga Prince is the newest edition to the Fleet. She is 35ft in length and was originally worked as a fishing boat. We have taken her and added a cabin for shade and bathrooms to suit our passenger vessels. She generally does not undertake overnight tours. Check out photos of the Ragga Prince.

Ragga Gal is the original Ragga Sailing Adventures tours sailboat.  She is a 30ft Belizean built wooden sailboat with a sloop rig. Distinctive and yellow in color, she is mostly used for day snorkeling tours and for the smaller overnight tours. Check out photos of the Ragga Gal.

Marvin was an awesome guide for our trip. We met people from all over the world and had an awesome experience exploring the more remote islands in Belize. The trip was packed with sunbathing, snorkeling, spear fishing, fishing, and enjoying some rum punch. Shane Anderson

Balancing professionalism and entertainment perfectly, Shane is a true favorite of everyone that has the pleasure of meeting him. He deservedly holds the position of Lead Captain within RSA specifically for the overnight tours and established himself this position through over 13 years in the industry. Shane's trademark infectious personality has him singing and dancing for his guests and if you're lucky he will do a backflip or two!

All prices listed in this Website are in U.S. Dollars, unless otherwise specified. Promotions listed in this Website can be changed or withdrawn at any time.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Flexible: full refund within a limited period.

For cancellations by Guests, cancellation charges depend on when Island Routes receives notice of the cancellation. Minimum cancellation charges are as follows:

Hotel Guests:

24 hours or less: No Refund

48 hours or less: 50% Cancellation Fee

96 hours or less: 25% Cancellation Fee

96+ hours: Full Refund

Shore Excursions:

96 hours or more: Full Refund

Less than 96 hours: No Refund

G r oup Reservations:

60 days prior to tour date: Full Refund

45 days prior to tour date: 50% Cancellation Fee

30 days prior to tour date: 75% Cancellation fee

Less than 30 days prior to tour date: No Refund

All cancellations of, or changes are subject to applicable restrictions. Island Routes Tours will apply any payments made toward the purchase price against any cancellation charges and will refund any balance remaining after the payment of any charges. In order to receive a refund, if applicable, client must request and receive a cancellation confirmation number. The cancellation charges outlined above are liquidated damages and not a penalty. Holiday periods may be subject to additional cancellation charges. NO REFUNDS OR ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE FOR ANY PORTION OF TOUR OR ATTENDANT SERVICES NOT UTILIZED.

Refund Policy: No refunds or adjustments will be made for any portion of your tour not utilized.

Changes to Reservations: All requested changes to reservations are subject to Island Routes' sole discretion, and any changes must be approved in writing.

NO UNLAWFUL OR PROHIBITED USE

As a condition of your use of this Web site, you warrant that you will not use this Web site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices.

PREPAID TOUR & EXCURSION RESERVATIONS

By reserving your tour and excursion, you authorize Island Routes Caribbean Adventures to book reservations for the total reservation price. You agree that your credit card will be charged by Island Routes Caribbean Adventures for the total reservation price.

BANK & CREDIT CARD FEES

Some banks and credit cards impose fees for cross-border transactions. By reserving your tour and excursion on this website, you may see an additional cost/fee appearing on your credit card statement. This fee is solely determined by your Bank and/or Credit Card Company and Island Routes Caribbean Adventures takes no responsibility for these associated costs. If you have any questions about these types of fees applied to your reservation, please contact your bank directly.

Some tours are physically demanding and are not suitable for the infirm, individuals with heart condition, women who are pregnant or the physically challenged. Tour times and dates may vary based on volume or availability. To the exclusion of tours identified at www.islandroutes.com as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, there exists no relationship of master and servant or of agency between the Operators of tours and either Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, or the hotel. Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, do not operate the tours, and for these purposes, the Operators of tours are independent contractors. The Operators of tours are solely responsible for their acts and omissions and Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, assume no responsibility for such acts and omissions, or for any injury, loss, damage, sickness or accidents sustained on any of the tours offered for sale , including but not limited to any that occur on and/or during the tour, as well as before and after as part of and/or during transport to/from the tour ‐ again, to the exclusion of tours identified as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours. Without any exclusion, however, Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, shall not assume any responsibility for injury, loss or damage to any person that voluntarily participates in cliff diving at any location, including but not limited to Dunn's River Falls or Rick's Café, and/or to any person who voluntarily stops as part of and/or during transport to/from a tour at an unintended destination, meaning one that is separate and apart from the scheduled tour and/or destination. Individuals proceeding in such manner assume any and all responsibility and risk, as this is not a recommended activity. Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, in addition shall not assume any responsibility for the loss or damage to money, jewelry, clothing or other valuables that have not been tendered to Management for safe keeping. Please note, for your safety, Guest will not be allowed to participate in helicopter tours and/or transfers if they have undertaken any diving exercise within 24hrs prior to departure of said tour/transfer.

LIMITATION OF DAMAGES

Guest HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES that Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, and the hotel, their parent corporation, affiliates, subsidiaries, insurers, directors, officers, employees, successors, assigns, agents or representatives, SHALL NOT BE LIABLE to Guest for liabilities, claims, actions, damages, cost or expense in any circumstances, for: (A) ANY PERSONAL INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED BY ANY ACT OR OMISSION ON THE PART OF ANY Guest(s) and/or Operators of tours, excluding tours identified as being owned by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours; (B) EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, MENTAL SUFFERING, OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY OF ANY KIND; OR (C) ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. This specifically includes but is not limited to liabilities, claims, actions, damages, cost or expense ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED BY food or drink consumed at third party facilities belonging to third party Operators of tours.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours cannot guarantee that it will satisfy special requests and we are not responsible if such requests are not met.

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Persons with Disabilities: Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours cannot guarantee that transfer vehicles or tour sites are wheelchair accessible. However, if informed, we will endeavor to make the necessary arrangements. This may however come at an additional cost.

VENUE AND CHOICE OF LAW

ALL CLAIMS WHATSOEVER AGAINST SUNISLAND ROUTES AND/OR ISLAND ROUTES TOURS, ITS AFFILIATES, PARENT COMPANY, SUBSIDIARIES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR CONTRACTORS, ARISING FROM, IN CONNECTION WITH, OR INCIDENTAL TO THE CONTRACT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIMS RELATING TO THE FORMATION, INTERPRETATION, CONSTRUCTION, WAIVER, MODIFICATION, PERFORMANCE, DISCHARGE, OR BREACH OF THE CONTRACT, OR THE EXISTENCE, EXTENT, OR BREACH OF ANY FIDUCIARY DUTY, OR ANY DUTY IN TORT OR PURSUANT TO ANY STATUTE, SHALL BE LITIGATED SOLELY AND EXCLUSIVELY IN THE COUNTRY IN WHICH THE EXCURSION AND/OR TOUR IS OPERATED, AND SHALL BE GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE COUNTRY IN WHICH THE EXCURSION AND/OR TOUR IS OPERATED WITHOUT REGARD TO THE CHOICE OF LAW PRINCIPLES THEREOF.

USE OF GUEST'S LIKENESS

The undersigned Guest(s) irrevocably consents to and authorizes the use and reproduction by Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes, or anyone authorized by Island Routes, of any and all photographic, video and other visual portrayal(s) of the undersigned Guest(s), their child or ward, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to use in magazines, brochures, flyers, television, internet, and websites displays without further reference or compensation. All rights, title and interest therein (including all worldwide copyrights therein) shall be the sole property of Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes, or anyone authorized by Island Routes, free from any claims by the undersigned Guest(s) and or any person deriving any rights or interest from such Guest, AND each undersigned Guest(s) UNDERSTANDS AND HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY SO AGREES.

COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL LAW

Guest is responsible for knowing, obeying and complying with the laws and regulations of their destination, and neither Sunisland Routes and/or Island Routes Tours, nor any Tour Supplier, nor the hotel, has any duty to inform or warn Guest about the destination's laws and/or regulations.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Jamaica. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Jamaica, in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Website. Use of this Website is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including, without limitation, this paragraph.

You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and Island Routes Caribbean Adventures as a result of this agreement or use of this Web site.

Performance of this agreement by Island Routes Caribbean Adventures is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of the right to comply with law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this Website or information provided to or gathered by Island Routes Caribbean Adventures with respect to such use.
