The Lost Souls of Gastown Tour – Best Vancouver City Tour for History

Location:  Gastown | Length: 1.5 hours | Cost:  From $37.80 CAD

Gastown is the most historic neighbourhood in Vancouver, hands down.

Its cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways hint at a feisty frontier town, not a cosmopolitan city of millions. The first building there was actually a pub built by loggers who were paid in whiskey.

Loggers, whiskey, you see where I’m going with this – this is the top of our best walking tours of Vancouver .

Throw in the Great Vancouver Fire, some smallpox outbreaks, and tales of revenge and redemption , and we’ve got the makings of a delightfully macabre Vancouver walking tour .

I like this one for groups seeking city tours as it’s arguably the most social Vancouver tour , and it offers lots of hidden gems.

The Stanley Park Bike Tour – Top Stanley Park Tour

Location: Stanley Park | Length:  3 hours | Cost:  From $103.50 CAD

Stanley Park is one of the most fabulous urban parks in the world, and it stands out because it’s not the byproduct of any fancy landscaping. It’s exactly as nature left it – with about half a million trees .

The park has the Vancouver Aquarium , is home to breathtaking First Nations totem poles , and counts some amazing panoramic city views along the Stanley Park Seawall .

This is one of the best bike tours of Vancouver , and you’ll weave through old-growth forest trails ,  learn all about local flora and fauna, and learn the Coastal First Nations history of life before the settlers came.

Wanting to leave the bike aside? Check out our top Stanley Park tours for other methods.

Vancouver City Sightseeing Tour with Stanley Park & Granville Island – Top City Tour for Tourists

Meeting Point: Georgian Court Hotel | Length:  3.5 hours | Cost:  From $78.75 CAD

Here’s a tourist tour for people wanting to check off major sights with the least amount of hassle possible .

The epic food market and artisan stronghold at Granville Island is tough to get to, so sitting back and letting them take you to the action is the highlight of this trip.

capilano suspension bridge and grouse mountain tour banner for 2024

The fact it also includes all the highlights of Stanley Park makes this a great one-two punch.

Along the way, you’ll get all the info from First Nations to contemporary culture through a knowledgeable guide – and they even take you to Gastown and Chinatown as well.

Vancouver Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour – Best City Tour for Cruisers

Location: Downtown | Length:  2.5 hours | Cost:  From $65.00 CAD

I always recommend Vancouver hop-on hop-off bus tours for anybody on day one of a Vancouver itinerary or for cruisers arriving at the Vancouver cruise terminal .

Since it includes all the major photo landmarks , it’ll look like you were here for weeks! 🙂

Once you’re picked up, you’ll be taken to prime downtown locations like Canada Place, Stanley Park, and Robson Street . It’ll also follow some of Vancouver’s best beaches along English Bay before dropping you off at Queen Elizabeth Park .

The tour in Vancouver finishes up in Chinatown and Gastown (with a stop at the Gastown Steam Clock).

Prince of Whales – Best Vancouver Day Tour on the Water

Location:  Granville Island | Length: 5 hours | Cost:  From $235.99 CAD

This is one of the top Vancouver nature tours, whether you’re grabbing their half-day tours or their full-on  day trips from Vancouver that’ll take you all the way to Victoria .

What I love about their half-day whale-watching tour is that it departs right from Granville Island aboard the Salish Sea Freedom – the biggest, fastest ship in the fleet that’ll have you on whale grounds in a hurry.

The chance to see orcas and humpback whales in the wild on the top Vancouver whale watching tours is true bucket list stuff.

There’s a 90%+ sighting rate, and if they don’t deliver, you’re allowed to come back another day.

If you’ve already explored the city, it’s time to jump into the sea for a different view of Vancouver. Kayak in Howe Sound and snorkel with Vancouver’s resident harbour seals during this half-day eco-adventure . After boarding a boat from beautiful Horseshoe Bay with your adventure guide, you’ll head toward the Pam Rocks seal colony where you’ll slip into the provided snorkel gear and wetsuit to then snorkel with seals! You’ll also get to kayak around the bay and the rocks, experiencing the marine environment from a low-profile boat. There’s also a sightseeing-only option for those passengers who want to stay dry.

Lovely captain and tour guides. The first site was great to see lots of seals on the rocks. The second site was even better as the seals came right up close. I would definitely recommend snorkelling for a close up experience. The wetsuits keep you warm enough, but the seals distract from the cold anyway. Great trip! -Kai ( see more reviews )

  • All snorkel equipment including wet suits
  • Professional and friendly staff to guide guests in the water

While Gastown is one of the most popular neighbourhoods to explore in Vancouver, most people neglect the dark side of its past. Wait until the sun sets and get a glimpse into Vancouver’s rough and rowdy past on a walking tour of this historic area . Hear haunting tales of the city’s darkest days, when fires, smallpox and gold dust fever swept through the frontier outpost. Visit the neighbourhood’s landmarks and historic sites as your guide evokes the thieves, hustlers and vagabonds that made the West so wild. This is one of those Vancouver tours you won’t forget.

I have done a lot of ghost tours as I have traveled throughout the United States and internationally. Although this tour did not contain haunted places, Janet was by far the best storyteller that I have experienced. We traveled all throughout Gastown hearing an entertaining story, told in first person. While Janet consistently maintained character, we heard the history if Gastown from a young lady’s point of view -Daniele ( see more reviews )

Great place to bring elderly parents. Very shady, mostly flat paths. Suspension bridge was challenging for them but overall stable to cross. The 2 week camping tour of BC and Alberta was absolutely amazing. Marco was a fantastic guide, great cook, very friendly and knowledgable. He created an atmosphere that facilitated the entire group getting along and having an enjoyable time together. I'd highly recommend the tour and Marco as guide to anyone. Thanks for a great few weeks!

Rockies Premium Tour from Vancouver (34 Seats)

The itinerary was very structured and organised. Got to see many spectacular sights of the Rockies. Had an amazing time with the group (just a nice size) and we got to go to Banff, Jasper, saw many waterfalls and mountain ranges. Enjoyed myself thoroughly. Thank you to Luke for being such a cool, chill and wonderful tour guide throughout the trip! He really made sure we all had a great time, single-handedly driving us long distances to the different destinations and also helping out with our luggages. He also recommended us great sights to see and provided insights on some of the history of the Rockies and tidbits about the stuff we saw in our tour.

Grand Canadian Rockies

Really awesome! I enjoyed it immensely plus our guide Jay was so accommodating to everyone's personal wants to the tour. Also he's really versatile and knows exactly how to time everything so we're not bothered too much by the tourist rushes. It was so great. I'm so happy I went ^^

Rockies Classic Summer Tour Tour

Rockies Classic Summer Tour

The Rockies Classic tour is an excellent ‘taster’ tour of the area, covering all the main sights (Lake Louise and other stunning lakes, Banff, Jasper) but with limited time in each location. There are a couple of optional activities (the Banff gondola and walking on a glacier) you can purchase as extras on the trip. There’s a fair amount of travelling on the first and last day, but there are regular stops and the guide provides lots of local information. The scenery even from the coach is often spectacular. Our guide Ryan was well informed and had a fun manner, helping to create a good group atmosphere. He went out of his way to help people get the most from stops by recommending cafes, showing people good viewpoints, and organising a mini-celebration for my birthday (thank you Ryan!). Overall this tour exceeded my expectations.

Caribou Tour

The trip was great! The beautiful places, the people and all the memories were definitely worth the money! The tour guide (Hunter) was great! However, if you expect a trip full of hikes, you will not be completely satisfied, mostly you walk only up to 30 minutes somewhere, if at all, you actually always go very close by bus to the viewpoints. Hostels were great, also the planning was good, never too much or too little done in one day. In the evening you usually have free and can do something with the others or go out. In such a short time you could never so many places at once abklappern and you also would not have the insider tips of the tour guides, but would always be in crowded tourist places! My personal highlight was the kayaking in Revelstoke and the overnight stay in Rampart Creek. Overall 11/10!!! Can only recommend it to everyone!

Via Railway Experience|5-Day Vancouver to Rockies Railway Full Experience Tour Departure

We enjoyed our tour very much, the sights were beautiful, staff we well informed. A highlight for us was the optional evening photographic tour. The only thing stopping me from giving five stars was the last day felt very rushed, especially at the Banff gondola as the queue to get on took half an hour and not enough time allocated to our lunch at the Lake Louise Chateau, we had to ask the waitress to bring out the dessert while we were eating the main as we only had 15 minutes until the bus left. Allocate a bit more time for those things and you will get five stars.

Aurora Borealis Adventure from Vancouver

Every employee we met from pick up @ the airport to drop off after our final trip to the Aurora Center was wonderful - Professional, pleasant, and friendly. Price was right! Hotel was OK. My one important critique was we got absolutely no info on the Aurora Borealis. I expected a video or “lecture” or some explanation about what we were looking for/seeing. (And, so so so very happy we saw them!!!) This was a trip specifically to see the northern lights and we heard nothing about them. I will (and have steady) recommend your tour to others but tell them to study up on the Aurora before they go. Thanks for asking!

Panoramic Canadian Rockies (12 Days, Rocky Mountaineer SilverLeaf) Tour

Panoramic Canadian Rockies (12 Days, Rocky Mountaineer SilverLeaf)

There were a lot of activities especially in Jasper that weren’t available due to the weather. Maybe other options should have been offered. Also Sun Peaks, though I understand it was a necessary stop to give the driver a break, was a boring place. But the hotels were acceptable and the guide and the driver (Todd) were both great.

Just returned from the 5 day Premium tour of the Rockies. What an amazing trip! We traveled in a very comfortable bus under the guidance of of our exceptional guide Richelle. Richelle was a wealth of knowledge sharing interesting information on each area we visited, we learnt so much from her about the areas we explored. The trip follows absolutely breathtaking landscapes. The accommodation choices were wonderful and it was good having this all organised, made the holiday a breeze for us . It was spectacular having breakfast organised at the top of the gondola in Banff , felt very special as well as all the other adventures Richelle took us on. Having the tour all organised for us took the stress out of us having to organise things , we had the adventure of a life time and loved every moment. Highly recommend this tour if you have limited time and want to visit as much as possible between Vancouver and Banff.

Billie Eilish bringing 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' tour to Vancouver

American singer Billie Eilish. (Photo AP/Lewis Joly)

Vancouver will be one of just three Canadian stops on pop star Billie Eilish's upcoming world tour, it was announced Monday.

The "Hit Me Hard and Soft" tour will hit Rogers Arena on Dec. 3. The other Canadian dates on the tour are the kickoff show in Quebec City on Sept. 29 and back-to-back shows in Toronto on Oct. 1 and 2.

Presale begins Tuesday, and any remaining tickets will become available Friday on the singer's website.

Eilish's highly anticipated third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” will be released May 17.

View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by BILLIE EILISH (@billieeilish)

Eilish worked with her brother and longtime collaborator Finneas on “Hit Me Hard and Soft.” The pair recently took home their second Oscar for their big “Barbie” ballad “What Was I Made For?” In doing so, Eilish, 22, became the youngest person by far to have won two career Oscars.

A portion of North American ticket sales will be donated to REVERB, an environmental non-profit. Eilish is also encouraging her fans to take public transportation or carpool to her concerts, to bring reusable water bottles, and to "fight fast fashion by opting for thrifted, upcycled, or borrowed clothes instead of buying new clothing to wear to shows," according to a media release.

Concert review: Diljit Dosanjh launches DIL-LUMINATI tour in Vancouver Back to video

The opening night of the Punjabi star’s cross-Canada tour at Vancouver’s biggest venue was indeed historic.

Dosanjh is the first Indian pop singer to sell out at the stadium , drawing a reported 54,000-plus attendees. In 2023, he sold out Rogers Arena on his Born to Shine tour and became the first South Asian artist to play the main stage at Coachella

That kind of cred is what earns you a giant diamond-encrusted Rolex and legions of adoring fans across the globe.

His two sets made clear why this dynamic artist has that following, too. Dosanjh’s blending of high-energy traditional folk idioms with slick contemporary pop production on seductive jams like Peaches is fiercely addictive. No, you don’t need to know Punjabi to know that the track is all about a lady.

“Get ready to witness the biggest Punjabi artist on the planet. The moment has arrived,” declared the AI MC, which also noted that the show was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

That message had been received loud and clear by those in attendance , a multi-generational audience that ranged in age from four to far more. Without question, Dosanjh’s ability to make music that plays well at weddings, parties, arenas — anywhere — merits meticulous study by rising stars to replicate. It’s not an easy thing to achieve.

But when you can drop a tune like Hass Hass, featuring Sia, it keeps them coming. The singer certainly did that for two long sets and a 30-minute interval that would have sapped the life out of most performances. It didn’t dampen the vibe at the venue.

When Dosanjh returned after the break, it took about three verses for the venue to be back in full party mode. The guy can pump up a crowd.

To say folks are familiar with the material doesn’t do their singalongs justice. At times, it almost felt like a collaboration rather than a concert. But there was no question who the headliner was at any point.

For someone who had an average of 30 lavishly decked-out dancers on stage most of the evening, you could easily forget that they and the band were even there. But they provided ace backing on bangers from the opener G.O.A.T. to the smash Jatt Vailly and — I think — Champagne.

The cameras kept the singer’s face in multi-storey resolution all night long, and if you caught a glimpse of a single dancer’s gyrating hip, it was purely incidental. The focus was on one person only, and he carried the concert to such a degree that the flash pots, smoke columns, flame throwers and confetti cannons almost seemed pointless. Almost.

pic.twitter.com/1YTrsmIWT3 — Alcibiades (@HaremOfBeauties) April 28, 2024

The LED wristbands handed out to everyone as they entered turned the venue into a constant flashing display of colour that blended well with the vibe of the songs. They also combined with the lasers to great effect.

Coldplay did a similar illumination play at previous B.C. Place performances, but never with this impact. As people left the venue, their wristband lights continued to dance away.

A fitting finish to a performance that kept people up and dancing all night long.

So much so, that there were times when one wondered if the venue could handle all that motion. It did, but I’d double check the fittings on those fold out rows of bleachers because they were swinging to Kharku as hard as the fans were.

Next up for Indian pop fans: Surrey’s very own Juno Award-winning singer/rapper Karan Aujla at Rogers Arena on Aug. 17.
