Bhubaneswar: Odisha is one of the most scenic state of India which is bestowed with natural beauty and rich heritage. Its architectural memoirs built with studied detail, effervescent colours, stunning handicrafts, glittering gems, throbbing towns, wildlife sanctuaries, pulsating festivities and touching hospitality are the major attractions for tourist. Odisha Tourism is where soul meets character.
Odisha Tourism is actively engaged in promoting and marketing Odisha in the domestic and international tourist market through its new brand positioning and media campaigns. We want to further evolve our ‘Tourism brand’ with a new dynamic logo and for that we need you to participate in this process.
We are happy to announce a ‘Contest for Odisha Tourism Logo’ where we would like you to showcase your creativity and your interpretation of the key tourism elements of Odisha. The winner will take away a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. We will take over the selected logo to further work upon it.
Working across traditional silos and encompassing all our key tourism elements, we would like the logo to guide people smoothly from our marketing to our in-place experiences. For eg. we would like the logo to be bold, horizontal spread, multi-color and appealing. Should convey our key tourism strengths.
Living by our open-source values of creativity, transparency and participation, we’re reaching out to learn what people think.

Odisha Tourism has turned to crowdsourcing and is encouraging people to design its new logo which will make its brand recognizable globally.

Odisha Tourism has announced a logo design contest to further strengthen its tourism brand. The move comes after Odisha tourism's recent sports tourism campaign 'Odisha by morning, Hockey by evening' as it plays host partner to the Odisha hockey men's world cup Bhubaneswar 2018 slated to be held from November 28 to December 16.
The entries for the contest will need to be submitted on [email protected] in a PDF format properly water marked with the creators name or any other way to establish ownership along with a brief about the concept chosen by 15 September midnight. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. one lakh.
Odisha Tourism in a statement said: "Working across traditional silos and encompassing all our key tourism elements, we would like the logo to guide people smoothly from our marketing to our in-place experiences.
"For eg. we would like the logo to be bold, horizontal spread, multi-color and appealing. Should convey our key tourism strengths. Living by our open-source values of creativity, transparency and participation, we’re reaching out to learn what people think."

Odisha is one of the most scenic states of India bestowed with natural beauty and rich heritage. Its architectural memoirs built with studied detail, sparkling colours, precision handicrafts, bustling towns, natural wildlife, pulsating festivities and touching hospitality make it a must visit place for every travel enthusiast and globe trotters. Odisha Tourism is where soul meets character.
The department invites individuals and agencies to showcase their creativity and interpretation of the key tourism elements of Odisha. The winner will take away a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. The selected logo would be further worked upon by the tourism department.
The entries should to be sent on [email protected] in a PDF Format properly water marked with the creators’ name or any other way to establish ownership along with a brief about the concept chosen by 15 th September midnight.
The logo thus designed should encompass key tourism elements and convey key tourism strengths which would thus guide people smoothly from marketing to Odisha’s in-place experiences. The logo should be bold, horizontally spread, multi-colour and appealing. The said logo would make Odisha Tourism brand more recognizable globally. So, get to work and help your name make a mark in the global tourism field.
It is worth mentioning here that during the recent Odisha Tourism Conclave organised by HRAO, at one of the four panel sessions, on ‘Branding and Positioning Odisha as a Premier Tourist Destination’, the panellists called for a revamped logo of Odisha Tourism that would directly connect the brand with the important features of destination Odisha.

Contest for Odisha Tourism Logo announced
BHUBANESWAR:The Tourism department on Wednesday invited creative minds to design its new logo that will be used to promote Odisha at domestic and international tourist markets.
Announcing the ‘Contest for Odisha Tourism Logo’, the department asked participants to design a logo that interprets key tourism elements of the State. The winner of the contest will take away a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
Officials said entries should be sent to [email protected] in a PDF format, properly water marked with the creator’s name or any other way to establish ownership along with a brief about the concept chosen. The last date for sending entries is September 15.The logo should be bold, horizontally spread, multi-coloured and should convey Odisha’s key tourism strengths.

History. On 3 August 1964, the Council of Ministers adopted the design of the Konark Horse statue as the State Emblem. The emblem symbolises discipline,strength and progress. Design. The emblem is a circular seal depicting a representation of the Warrior and Horse statue found at the Konark Sun Temple.The crest of the emblem is the Lion Capital of Ashoka.
