FROSCH Acquires New York’s Iconic Valerie Wilson Travel

New York’s Valerie Wilson Travel is being acquired by Frosch International Travel, joining two of the travel industry’s most storied families together under one umbrella.  

Valerie Wilson Travel will continue to operate as an independent brand, with the agency’s executives remaining in their positions and joining FROSCH’s executive and leadership team—Valerie Ann Wilson will remain as CEO; Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg and Kimberly Wilson Wetty will remain as co-presidents; Brian Buttigieg will be appointed VWT’s COO effective immediately and will join FROSCH as general counsel’ and Patrick Fragale, executive vice president for VWT, will expand his responsibilities.

The plan is also for Valerie Wilson Travel to remain operating with its consortia, Virtuoso, while FROSCH continues its connection to Signature.

“I founded Valerie Wilson Travel to provide the personalized, luxury travel service I was personally seeking. I am very proud of the company we built together with Jennifer, Kimberly, Brian, and the entire VWT team,” Valerie Ann Wilson said in a statement announcing the news.

“Knowing the VWT name and brand will not only remain but be strengthened as part of this transaction was vitally important to me. I am looking forward to growing our family brands together,” she added.

 Bryan Leibman, president and CEO of FROSCH, said the deal creates “a powerful alliance that expands our footprint in New York City and the tri-state area.”

“This transaction reaffirms our confidence in our industry’s recovery, our commitment to New York, and our unwavering dedication to providing the very best service and support to our clients, employees, and IC partners. I am delighted to welcome VWT and am confident that together we will achieve great success,” he added.

Price gouging with this company. We we charged 3 times the standard rate for the room we stayed in. The resort was not that great to top it off!

Our second time using VWT! Our Travel Advisor for our Italian honeymoon was Elizabeth Myers - [email protected] From Valerie Wilson Travel. I am so grateful for her planning advise and expertise. All the hotel choices were perfect, and the traveling arrangements made going from place to place very easy. Her restaurants recommendations were spot on as well. Venice was our favorite! And the hotel view room was unbelievable. The Rome hotel was such a nice sanctuary from for our busy days and they gave us an upgrade! The hotel in Ravello was spectacular as well. Traveling any place can be stressful, especially traveling to four different cities in Italy spanning two weeks. But it gave us such peace of mind that everything was taking care of, and that when something was promised, it was delivered. We never felt rushed, or worried, about getting from one place to the next. We truly appreciate all her hard work! She made our honeymoon an unforgettable trip!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Valerie Wilson Travel, more specifically about our travel agent- Anna Clara. I recently won a sweepstakes through MasterCard in which I could choose a free $5,000 trip to either Los Angeles, New York, Boston or Miami. We've been wanting to take our two year old daughter to Disneyworld for a while now, but it was just always way too expensive. Even though Orlando wasn't one of the destinations we were able to choose from, Anna went out of her way to work with MasterCard and allow us to fly to Orlando instead and getting all the Disneyworld expenses taken care of. She was so communicative throughout the process and booked absolutely everything from our hotel to our park hopper tickets. She went above and beyond, even taking care of our daughter and her grandmother's flights/park tickets, even though she wasn't responsible for handling them. Anna did everything she could to make sure we had the best vacation. We haven't even left for it yet, but we're just so grateful for the amount of work she put in. If you ever need a travel agent, I highly recommend her and the Valerie Wilson travel agency.

Thoughtful touches that go above and beyond.

My experience with them started out great. We won a trip through Mastercard and this is the travel agency we had to go through. (Mind you, they take a part of OUR winnings to pay for their time, more or less without trying to let you know this.) They were patient and accommodating in getting done what we wanted and needed. However, after a mixup at the hotel in the way THEY booked the room by requesting the charges and incidentals be put on their credit card, we began getting harassed by the agency a week after we returned. They treated us like criminals and as if we stole their credit card and put our room charges on it. (Clearly we did not as our winnings were to pay for it.) I was able to fix their mistake with no problem, but would steer clear of this agency and the way they treat their clients. Rude and unprofessional.

Rachel makes all our reservations for us. What's great about using a travel specialist is that they get to know your personality, what types of places you like, and they can arrange it all for you. She's successfully steered me away from some clunkers, and the one time I went rogue and insisted on a hotel that she had reservations about (I thought it would be fun for my daughter), I realized I should listen to her more often. (Grand Wailea. It was huge and somewhat gorgeous but it wasn't my style at all. Cruiseship/conference center vibe with a lack of customer service). Since then I've trusted her with recommendations. If everyone else at Valerie Wilson travel is as helpful as Rachel, it would be an impeccable business.

My husband and I used Valerie Wilson Travel for help planning a honeymoon and we had quite the opposite experience from the other reviewers here. It was our first time ever using a travel agent and Emily Prentiss from VWT did an AMAZING job assisting us with an exotic - and truly surreal - honeymoon to Bali/Lombok. From helping us choose the right destination, to flight and hotel choices, to ground travel and services with a top-notch touring company in Indonesia, and especially with setting up truly unique, exclusive experiences, her recommendations were spot-on. Our hotels were all spectacular (The Viceroy, Tugu Lombok, and The Oberoi in Seminyak). The trip was well-paced and we really felt immersed in the culture while still experiencing the extreme comfort and luxury one would like on a honeymoon. It's also worth noting that Emily was so patient, accommodating, and flexible. We had some budget concerns and she completely worked with us. We just had no idea how incredible this honeymoon would be or how much work and services were put into it until we arrived in Bali. Her hard work, and (from what I've heard) the great reputation of VWT, helped create a magical trip. It was a truly unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Emily's services and that of VWT!

Awful experience with this agency. Warning anyone who decides that paying to have one of these agents plan a trip or honeymoon for you, to look elsewhere. The agent that I spoke with was unhelpful, pompous and rude and never followed up our conversation with the information that she promised. In a day where booking travel is extremely easy to do on your own, don't waste your time or money on this place.
