Biografie - Mark Forster

Spätestens seit seiner Hit-Single „Au Revoir“ zählt Mark Forster zu den beliebtesten deutschsprachigen Interpreten der Gegenwart. Zahlreiche Studioalben und Kollaborationen später glänzt der gebürtige Pfälzer mit Basecap, Bart und Wortwitz auch als sympathisches TV-Gesicht bei Erfolgs-Formaten wie z. Am 11. Januar 1983 erblickt Mark im Städtchen Winnweiler das Licht der Welt. Gemeinsam mit seiner jüngeren Schwester wächst er unweit von Kaiserslautern auf. Bis zu seinem Abitur am städtischen Gymnasium begleitet ihn die Musik als Hobby – nicht ahnend, dass sich der frühe Klavierunterricht später doppelt und dreifach auszahlen soll.

Kennen wir Pop-Star Mark Forster heute als musikalisches Multi-Talent mit TV-Affinität und Kino-Stimme, beweist er bereits zu Studienzeiten ein breitgefächertes Interesse. Nach vier Semestern wechselt er von den Rechtswissenschaften zur Betriebswirtschaftslehre und bleibt dem Fach bis zu seinem Abschluss an der Universität Mainz treu. Hey Leute Ich Bin Ein Sehr Großer Fan Sänger Deutschlands Lieber Mark Forster Ist

Meine Tochter hatte sich so lange auf das Konzert gefreut. Erst mussten wir ein Jahr warten und jetzt Ersatzlos abgesagt. Für mich ist es ok aber für ein Kind ist es einfach nur enttäuschend. Jeder kann krank werden aber keine Alternative anbieten ist nicht fair.

Das Konzert wurde 9 Stunden vor Beginn abgesagt. Zwei Jahre haben wir darauf gewartet. Gestern konnte man bei Eventim noch Tickets kaufen. Kein Ersatztermin. Mir fehlen die Worte. War wohl nicht ausverkauft. 0 Sterne

Cal's David Foster Into 100m Semifinals at Olympic Track Trials

Cal rising senior David Foster advanced to the semifinal round in the 100-meter dash at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday.

Foster ran 10.26 seconds to finish fourth in his first-round heat. The top five finishers in each of five heats and the next two fastest times advanced to Sunday’s three semifinal races.

The finals will be held Sunday night, with the top three finishers earning berths in the event at the Paris Olympics this summer.

Noah Lyles delivered the day’s fastest time at 9.92 while Christian Coleman ran 9.99.

Foster set a Cal program record this season with a 10.14 clocking and also ran a wind-aided 9.91 at the NCAA West Regionals.

ROGERS, PURCHASE SHINE AT MADRID: Former Cal teammates Camryn Rogers and Anna Purchase finished 1-2 in the women’s hammer throw at the Madrid Meeting, a Continental Tour Silver event on Friday.

Rogers, the reigning world champion for Canada and former three-time NCAA winner for the Bears, won the event with a throw of 255 feet, 1 inch (77.76 meters), equaling the season-best mark she used to win the Prefontaine Classic last month.

Purchase, who graduated from Cal in 2023, was second with a season-best of 235-6 (71.79 meters)  While Rogers is assured of competing in the Olympics for the second time, Purchase, a 24-year-old from England still is attempting to qualify for the Paris Games.

ATSUKO OKATSUKA is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer based in LA. Atsuko was born in Taiwan and spent her childhood in Japan. Her debut standup special, THE INTRUDER – directed by Tig Notaro premiered on HBO, December 2022 and was named the "Best Debut Special of 2022" by the New York Times and one of the "Best Specials of 2022" by Vulture and Variety. She won the 2023 Gracie Award for "Best Special" and Atsuko was nominated for "Best Comedian" by the Wowie Awards. She was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch for 2022, and when she made her late-night stand-up debut on THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN, Vulture proclaimed she “won late-night.” She has performed to sold-out crowds all over North America on her 2023 theater tour, FULL GROWN, which she will be taking to Europe, Asia and Australia/NZ in 2024.

Atsuko is currently developing a half hour comedy series based on her life with FX. Her on-screen credits include HISTORY OF THE WORLD PT. II (Hulu), ROOM 104 (HBO), and THE SHOW NEXT DOOR WITH RANDALL PARK (ROKU+). Atsuko was recently featured on THIS AMERICAN LIFE with Ira Glass and told the story of how she got to the USA. She was raised by her grandmother, and they created the #DropChallenge together which has amassed more than 10 million views. Her unique upbringing brings an artfully-offbeat resilient persona which is perfectly embodied in her blunt bangs and bowl cut.

Tickets, parking, performances: Everything you need to know about the Indiana State Fair

Lace up your high tops and comp your tickets – this year’s Indiana State Fair is set to be a slam dunk.

The fair returns in July with the theme “Celebrating Basketball: The State that Grew the Game,” a tribute to Indiana’s love of basketball. New exhibits, a packed free concert schedule and more are in store for the month of festivities.

This year, the fair will institute new and updated safety policies, parking guidelines and other directives. Here’s everything you need to know for your day at the fairgrounds.

When is the Indiana State Fair open?

The State Fair will open July 28 and close Aug. 20. Its hours of admission are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, and last entry is 8 p.m. for each day. The fair is closed Monday and Tuesday.

The midway is open noon to 10 p.m. Wednesday, noon to 11 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday to Sunday. It will open at 11 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Aug. 20, the last day of the fair. Wristbands will not be sold after 8:30 p.m. or accepted after 10 p.m.

How much are tickets to the Indiana State Fair?

Advance general entry tickets are $11 and only permit single-day admission. Midway wristbands are available online for $25 and are only valid Wednesday, Friday and the last Sunday of the fair.

A family discount pack, which includes four general entry tickets and a parking pass, is $44. Children under 5 can enter for free.

How can I get to the Indiana State Fair?

The fairgrounds are located at 1202 E. 38th St. and accessible via interstates 65, 69, 70 and 74.

Parking passes, which allow entry into the Fairgrounds Infield, the South Lot on 38 th Street and the Indiana School for the Deaf at 1200 42nd St., are available in advance for $8. The westbound side of 38th Street will close on or after July 11, but drivers can still access the open eastbound lane via Emerson Avenue, 46th Street and Keystone Avenue.

IndyGo routes 4 and 39 will drop passengers off close to the fair’s entrance on 38th Street. Far is $1.75 for a single trip and $4 for all-day rides, and passengers under 18 and over 65 may be eligible for discounted fare with proper ID.

Visitors who bike to the fair will receive $1 off the price of admission with the “pedal and park” deal, which is offered from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday or 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday and Saturday. Cyclists can park their bikes at racks at the Monon Trail.

What can I bring to the Indiana State Fair?

Two new safety policies will take effect at this year’s fair.

No one younger than 18 is permitted to enter the fair after 6 p.m. without a chaperone 21 or older. Adults can chaperone up to six minors and must remain at the fairgrounds with them, per the policy. Anyone – adults or children – may be asked to provide a valid ID.

Indiana State Fair curfew: New policy requires youth under 18 to be chaperoned after 6 p.m.

The fair has also implemented a new bag policy, which prohibits any bags larger than 9” x 10” x 12” from the fairgrounds. Bags under this size are permitted, and attendees can bring an unlimited number of them. Diaper bags of any size are permitted on the fairgrounds. All are subject to search.

Items for medical or family care purposes – snacks, medical supplies, diaper bags and others – are permitted with no proof or note required. The fair encourages visitors to bring only necessary items.

What new foods are at the 2023 Indiana State Fair?

There are dozens of new food offerings at this year's state fair. Some of the highlights include the Buffalo Pork-N-Mac from Nitro Hog BBQ (macaroni and cheese topped with pulled pork, buffalo sauce and ranch dressing, of course), the Wicked Chicken n Waffles from Urick Concessions (chicken tenders with hot honey between two waffles, topped with Flamin' Hot Cheetos) and Sun King's Deep Fried-Sandwich Cookie Ale (an oatmeal milk porter made with oats, lactose, chocolate malt and 300 pounds of chocolate sandwich cookies).

What new exhibits are at the 2023 Indiana State Fair?

The fair will present several new exhibits this year to match its theme, “The State that Grew the Game,” a celebration of Indiana's hoops history. Among them are the Indiana Basketball History Exhibit, the Pacers Sports and Entertainment Exhibit and Chuck Taylor and Indiana Basketball at the Indiana History Train.

This year, the fair will also debut its first-ever augmented reality exhibit: Space Ham, which will allow users an interactive fair experience through their phones. Other new exhibits include Otter Adventure, Parakeet Encounter and Swiftly Swine Racing Pigs.

'Eras' tour movie etiquette: How to enjoy the Taylor Swift concert film (the right way)

This weekend, cinemas will become holy ground for fans of Taylor Swift, whose cross-country Eras Tour enchanted millions . Now, the musical mastermind is staging a big-screen takeover with her concert movie “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” which is all but assured to win the weekend with a mind-blowing $100 million-plus opening . Since the first U.S. leg of the tour ended in August, Swift has stayed in the headlines, thanks in part to her MTV VMAs sweep , her forthcoming "1989" album rerelease and her rumored romance with NFL player Travis Kelce .

Although plenty of artists have released concert films in the past, “this is a different beast,” says Stephanie Silverman, executive director of the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee. “It seems to us that her desire is that this (movie) is as much a concert experience as the live concert experience is for people. So we're going to definitely just chill out and let people enjoy it in the way that they want to. The audience will create the culture in (the theater) and we’re going to roll with it.”

Jeff Kaufman, senior vice president of film and marketing at Memphis, Tennessee-based chain Malco Theatres, expects a similar phenomenon to this summer's "Barbie," which also saw many excited moviegoers dress up to go to the theater and post about it on social media . "Our theater employees are always checking in on screenings and this film presentation won’t be any different," Kaufman says. "If issues arise, they will be dealt with at that time. We expect our audiences to come have fun, enjoy the film and our theaters. I certainly don’t think the film will be any louder than 'Top Gun!'"

According to the AMC Theatres website , the "Eras Tour" movie runs 2 hours and 48 minutes. There is no intermission, and the theater chain notes that there will also be an additional 10 to 15 minutes of pre-show and trailers before the film begins.

Hours before her "Eras Tour" movie premiere in Los Angeles, Swift announced that she will be gifting the concert film to her fans early.

"Due to unprecedented demand we’re opening up early access showings of The Eras Tour Concert Film on THURSDAY in America and Canada!!" Swift posted on Instagram Wednesday night. "We’re also adding additional showtimes Friday and throughout the weekend."

Swifties are eager to get their hands on any new "Eras" merch. That includes tour-themed plastic popcorn buckets and fountain drink cups, which will be sold at theater chains including Cinemark, AMC and Regal. Prices for the individual items range from roughly $10 to $14 each, while the popcorn tub-and-cup combo goes for about $20.

Alamo Drafthouse locations are offering "exclusive props, merch and themed drinks that you can't find anywhere else," according to the dine-in theater's website. Cinergy Cinemas similarly has a Swift prosecco cocktail, "Eras"-themed menus and photo opportunities in theater lobbies with life-size cardboard cutouts of the singer.

AMC will also give out free "Eras" mini-posters while supplies last.

What should you wear to the Taylor Swift movie?

Throughout the tour, many concertgoers dressed in costumes representing Swift's album "eras," whether it was re-creating some of her most iconic looks or choosing outfits that nodded to specific lyrics. According to AMC's website, "Taylor Swift Eras attire" is "strongly encouraged."

Will there be 'Eras Tour' friendship bracelets?

During the tour, trading handmade friendship bracelets also became a popular phenomenon among concertgoers, whose beads would spell out various Swift song and album titles, as well as inside jokes. Leaked photos on social media hint that AMC may have its own variation on the colorful jewelry. But in the meantime, fans are encouraged to make and bring their own to the cineplex.

What is the Taylor Swift movie setlist?

The film is expected to follow Swift's epic 45-song setlist from her "Eras Tour," beginning with fan favorites from her 2019 "Lover" album and ending with songs from last year's blockbuster "Midnights." Hits from major albums such as "Folklore," "1989" and "Red" are also well-represented throughout the nearly three-hour setlist. Then, of course, there are the surprise songs that she's delighted fans with during her acoustic set.

Swift's concert film was shot during the first three nights of her six-show run at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, in August. At each stop of her 52-date U.S. tour, she reserved a portion of the set list for a pair of acoustic songs, which alternated with every show.

Swift performed a total of nine surprise songs over the course of the three SoFi Stadium shows where she was filming — "I Can See You," "Maroon," "Our Song," "You Are In Love," "Death By A Thousand Cuts" and "You're on Your Own, Kid" — all of which have potential for inclusion in the movie.

Men's Swimming's Shackell headed to Paris after winning 400 free final at U.S. Olympic Trials

Former Longhorn Jake Foster advances to Sunday’s final of the 100 breast.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — University of Texas rising sophomore Aaron Shackell punched his ticket to the Paris Olympics by winning the 400-meter freestyle final on Saturday evening at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming inside Lucas Oil Stadium. In addition, former Longhorn Jake Foster qualified for the final of the 100-meter breaststroke.

The top finisher in the individual swimming events at the U.S. Olympic Trials earns an automatic spot on the official Team USA roster, while the runner-up is considered a near lock to make the team as well.

Shackell, who transferred to Texas earlier this summer, posted a time of 3:45.46 to claim the victory in the 400 free final. Shackell was followed in second place by Kieran Smith at 3:45.76. Rising Texas senior David Johnston finished third in a time of 3:46.19, just missing a spot in Paris by 0.43 seconds.  

During Saturday evening's 100-meter breaststroke semifinals, Foster recorded the fifth-fastest time (59.63) to advance to Sunday night's final. Former Longhorn Will Licon placed 16th in the semifinals with a mark of 1:00.82. Foster's mark of 59.63 was just 0.29 seconds behind the top time of the semifinals set by Charlie Swanson (59.34).

In Saturday morning's prelims, a pair of former Longhorns advanced to the 100-meter breaststroke semifinals as Foster recorded the fourth-fastest time with a mark of 59.59, while Licon placed 15th at 1:00.78. Johnston registered the second-fastest time in the 400-meter freestyle with a mark of 3:47.17, and Shackell took fourth at 3:47.96. Rising sophomore Rex Maurer narrowly missed a spot in the 400 free final with a ninth-place result at 3:48.94.
