PHOENIX — The Boss didn’t forget about us, after all.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band on Tuesday announced 18 new North American cities for their 2023 international tour, including a Nov. 30 date at Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix.

Tickets for the Phoenix show will be sold through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system. Fans must register online by Sunday for a chance to buy tickets when they go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 22. Registration doesn’t guarantee tickets.

In May of last year, Springsteen announced European dates for his first tour with his E Street Band since 2017. A batch of U.S. performances was unveiled in July, but Phoenix wasn’t on that 31-show list.

The Boss last performed in Arizona at Talking Stick Resort Arena (a former name of Footprint Center) in 2016 on The River Tour.

Even at 73, Springsteen is famous for his energy-filled marathon concerts.

The 2023 tour launched Feb. 1 with a 28-song show in Tampa, Florida, that included a mix of classic rockers and deep cuts from throughout his storied career, including “Born To Run,” “The Promised Land,” “The Rising” and “Rosalita (Come Out Tonight).”

The Boss was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999, and his faithful E Street Band was enshrined in 2014 .

Springsteen’s most recent album, 2022’s “Only The Strong Survive,” is a collection of R&B and soul cover songs.

Keke Palmer Showcases All Her Talents — and Baby Leo — at Dynamic Big Boss Tour Concert in New York City

The multi-hyphenate superstar proved herself as the next Cher in the making as she brought her Big Boss Tour to NYC's Webster Hall on Monday

Sara Feigin // sarafeigin.com

Is there anything Keke Palmer can't do?

The 30-year-old multi-hyphenate superstar proved herself as the next Cher in the making as she brought her Big Boss Tour to Webster Hall in New York City on Monday, showcasing her talents as a singer, dancer, actress, personality and more in a dynamic and electrifying live experience.

Throughout the show, the performer delivered high-energy renditions of songs from 2007's "Bottoms Up" to her latest album Big Boss , released earlier this year via her own Big Bosses Entertainment company alongside an autobiographical film about her music journey on her network, KeyTV.

But referring to the live event simply as a concert would understate its content — the production may as well be called The Keke Palmer Variety Hour.

Before Palmer hit the stage, she didn't have an opening act. Instead, a large video screen played original sketch comedy videos featuring characters from her one-woman series Turnt Up with The Taylors discussing her career and hilariously trying to steal her spotlight. Two DJs also kept the party going until her performance officially kicked off around 8:30 p.m.

After starting the show with 2016's "Hands Free," the Nope star — alongside four dancers — welcomed fans to the Big Boss Tour and noted that "it's been such a long time" since she last toured.

" Big Boss represents so much for me, especially as it pertains to my journey in the music industry. Honey, mama now can cut all the checks," said Palmer with a laugh. "I'm very blessed and grateful to be able to have this tour and to be able to invest in myself in this way, and to come out here and see y’all and thank y’all for all the love you have shown me all these years."

She spoke about the Big Boss film and how it chronicles her experiences with overbearing figures in the music industry, some of whom have attempted to take advantage of her at different points in her career.

"The gag motherf---ing is, they're always trying to get the last laugh," said Palmer, referencing one of her own memes. "I don't care if you're a singer, or a teacher, or a doctor, or a lawyer, or you do DoorDash, whatever it is. We know what it's like to work with people that don't like us and that we don't like. But the gag is, when you stay focused on what it is you’re trying to do, you will always get the last laugh." Detailing her past encounters with people who've turned out to be "a wolf in sheep's clothing," she told the crowd about lessons she's learned: "Everybody's not gonna come up to you and say, ‘Hey, I'm trying to take advantage of you,’ but what you feel is what you know, and that's what I learned that I have to follow — what I feel, my instincts."

Palmer's personal life — especially new motherhood with son  Leodis Andrellton , born in February — played a major role in the show, as she then spoke directly to someone who's helped her as of late: "I have to give a very special shout-out to Miss Beth up here. This is my lactation consultant. She got me through being a mother ."

In that moment, she seemed to reference recent criticism from co-parent Darius Jackson, who criticized the outfit she wore to watch  Usher  perform at his  Las Vegas Residency in July, writing on X (formerly Twitter) at the time, " It's the outfit tho.. you a mom ."

Having recently attended Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour together , the pair appear to be on good terms nonetheless, which was also represented in the Webster Hall concert through a slideshow featuring pictures of Jackson with both Palmer and baby Leo as she performed her song "I Care."

The first half of the show wrapped with a ballroom moment featuring surprise appearances by four dancers — Malik Miyake-Mugler, Smokey Marc Jacobs, Dee Boujee and Divo Couture — from HBO's voguing competition series Legendary , on which Palmer was a judge for season 3.

While she changed into a second outfit, clips from her roles in projects including Akeelah and the Bee , True Jackson, V.P. , Ice Age: Collision Course , Lightyear and Nope , among others, played on the screen to ravenous applause from the crowd.

Following her return to the stage, Palmer performed an unreleased song titled "Ungorgeous," which she said was recorded "about 12 years ago" but feels pertinent to her life today — perhaps as a result of the relationship drama.

"You used to tell me I’m beautiful / But now I don’t even know no more / It’s like you’re trying to be difficult / You never used to do this before," she sings on the mid-tempo pop track, teased on TikTok last month .

Of the song's fresh personal meaning, Palmer said, "We don't like to go through hard times. We don't like to go through ups and downs and the ways that life takes us, but boy, when we do, do we have a testimony."

"For me, so much has happened since I did that song," she explained after performing the track. "I mean, I got a baby, I turned 30. I got a family. You know, I've experienced things. A lot of the things you'll see in the Big Boss movie and some I keep to my heart because they’re too painful to share. But the truth of what I'm saying is sometimes we gotta let it out, y'all."

Palmer continued, "We wanna be so happy all the time and keep everything so bottled up, but it's not true. It's like that movie Inside Out — you gotta let it go to get through it! And for me, that’s what ‘Ungorgeous’ is. It’s an opportunity to say, ‘Hey, I'm just not feeling it,’ and to share it with you guys, it means a lot because if you know how that feels, let me get an ‘Amen.’"

Later, in an unexpected moment, she exited the stage and entered the crowd to play a game with fans. Alongside a security guard, she went to the merchandise booth and asked audience members trivia questions about her career — including  Scream Queens , Ice Age and That's My Jam — in exchange for free t-shirts.

Before the show came to a close, Palmer left the stage, and a pre-shot video played of her backstage with her mom Sharon (who was in the audience) holding baby Leo as they speculated on his favorite songs from the performance. "He loved ‘Hands Free,’ and then he loved ‘Waiting,'" said Sharon in the sweet skit.

As the singer returned to the stage, she declared, "It ain't over, motherf---ers." Appropriately, Palmer ended the set with her song "Bossy," again displaying her position as a skilled performer across countless mediums — as well as a powerful woman, mother and all-around boss.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band announced Tuesday they want to delight more fans during their ongoing 2023 international tour, adding 22 concerts in 18 North American cities.

Springsteen will be gracing the Gillette stage on Aug. 24, his first appearance at the stadium since September 2016. He previously performed in Foxboro in August 2012.

The August concert means the rock legend will be performing twice in Massachusetts this year. TD Garden is set to host The Boss and the E Street Band on March 20.

Springsteen’s Foxboro stop is using a Verified Fan ticket program through TicketMaster, which purports to make it easier for fans to secure tickets and harder for resellers and bots. Registration is open through Sunday before tickets go on sale Feb. 27 at 10 a.m.

Springsteen kicked off his international tour in Tampa earlier this month, his first North American show in seven years. The 73-year-old is not lifting his foot off the gas pedal as the tour lasts through early December. He will be stopping in Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, Edmonton, among other cities.

Springsteen will be rolling through Gillette in what will be a summer parade of blockbuster concerts across the region. He will be following Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs and Beyonce in Foxboro. Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks will round out Gillette’s summer in late September.

At Fenway Park, some of the headliners include Dead & Company, P!nk, Fall Out Boy and Morgan Wallen. And at the Garden, Madonna will be performing in late Aug. 30 and 31.

There will be a lot of dancing and singing to be had.

Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall excited by WSL, UWCL pressure

  • Emily Keogh

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall says he is excited by the pressure of both their UEFA Women's Champions League (UWCL) qualifiers against BK Häcken and the start of the Women's Super League (WSL) season, even with their tough league opener falling between the two crucial European fixtures.

Arsenal face Häcken on Wednesday in the first leg of their Champions League second-round qualifiers, while Manchester City take on Paris FC at the same time. Both teams will play their second legs at home on Sept. 26.

The English pair will meet on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium to launch their domestic campaigns in the middle of the European qualifiers. Despite the intense schedule, Eidevall said he is confident, adding that his squad is well-prepared to handle three important fixtures in nine days and is looking forward to the pivotal week ahead.

"It's exciting weeks; it's exciting to be here, to be close to going into the group stage in the Champions League, it's exciting to come to the Emirates on the weekend to play against Manchester City, but we need to keep our focus on the day by day activity," he told a news conference in Sweden.

"Today, it's to prepare really well and have a good training session. Tomorrow it's to play against Hacken and after that we can look forward.

"We have prepped for this period because we knew this period was going to be busy if we were successful with the mini-tournament," he added. "So everything we did in preseason has been leading up to this point to be able to deal with this period so this is really business time for us. We put everyone's competence into the hot seat, and we look forward to weeks like this.

"I think if you don't like this, you shouldn't be in professional football," he said. "I had a question before this in Swedish asking if we feel pressure and I think of course we feel pressure, everyone feels a little bit of pressure. For me, it's not a negative thing, its positive. I think it's a necessity for high performance. [I'm] really looking forward to playing exciting games."

Eidevall also revealed that defender Steph Catley and forward Lina Hurtig are both unavailable for selection due to injuries. The pair were also absent from the first-round qualifiers in the 6-0 win over Rangers and 1-0 victory against Rosenborg.

Arsenal failed to qualify for the group stage of the UWCL last season, losing on penalties to Paris FC in the first qualifying round.

Exclusive: Majesticks GC Team Principal talks to GolfMagic about all things LIV Golf

Majesticks GC Team Principal James Dunkley talks to GolfMagic's Andy Roberts about all things LIV Golf, Greg Norman, 'Little Sticks' and how The Majesticks Arms pub came to fruition at LIV Golf UK.

boss tour 2023

Majesticks GC Team Principal James Dunkley has spoken exclusively to GolfMagic on the eve of this week's season-ending Team Championship in Dallas.

European Ryder Cup legends Ian Poulter , Lee Westwood and Henrik Stenson are the co-captains of Majesticks GC, which also comprises Sam Horsfield .

While the Majesticks might not have been at their best this season, Dunkley was delighted to see his team finish fourth and just three shots off the pace at last week's LIV Golf Chicago, the final regular season event.

That performance has fuelled the fire for Majesticks GC to surprise a few people at this week's season finale at Maridoe Golf Club.

Scroll below to read our full interview with Majesticks Team Principal James Dunkley...

Ian Poulter

Some of the key takeaways:

  • Success of The Majesticks Arms pub at LIV Golf UK and future plans
  • Overall Majesticks form has been "disappointing" but the team is ready to finish the season strong
  • "Hugely satisfied" in building the team, establishing partners and growth of ' Little Sticks '
  • Greg Norman is "absolutely" the right man to take LIV Golf forwards as the CEO
  • LIV Golf fields will be "even stronger" next season
  • Majesticks GC to remain unchanged in 2025

Has LIV Golf lived up to your expectations as the second season draws to a close?

I think it is fair to say it has exceeded my expectations across the board. If you look at key metrics like attendance, viewership, social audience, level of golf course, strength of field etc, there have been significant improvements across the board in what is a relatively short period of time.

How would you assess the performance of Majesticks GC in 2024?

Overall, it has been disappointing. Tied 10th in the OOM is not where we want to be but there have been signs of improvements vs last year and we came extremely close to winning two events in 2024 in Hong Kong (lost by four) and Chicago (lost by three). We have an opportunity to finish on a high this week and take these improvements into 2025.

Are Majesticks GC confident of surprising a few people at the Team Championship?

Coming off the back of a strong showing in Chicago last week, I would certainly say there is confidence we can surprise a few people this week. As we know, anything can happen in 18 holes of matchplay and if we win two matches we will have a chance to fight for the Team Championship on the final day.

Lee Westwood

What's given you most pride so far as Team Principal of Majesticks?

I am proud of everything we have done so far at Majesticks GC, building our team, growing our audience, establishing some great partners etc. The one thing I would probably call out would be our Community Impact program ‘Little Sticks’. In less than two years we have built a curriculum, piloted the program, completed independent research studies, enhanced the wellbeing of 300+ young people and are preparing to roll the program out into the PE curriculum of circa 200 schools in the UK which we forecast will impact circa 40,000 kids per year. Simply put, this wouldn’t have been possible without the inception and support of LIV Golf. When LIV was launched all players were heavily criticised for joining the league purely for financial gain and while clearly commercial elements were a big part of the consideration, the opportunity to grow the game through programs like 'Little Sticks', playing a global schedule, introducing something new to the game in regular team golf were also a huge part. To now be able to demonstrate what we have done across all these elements and the benefits it is bringing is hugely satisfying.

Little Sticks was set up by Majesticks GC

What does the future hold for Majesticks GC on LIV Golf?

We will continue to be focussed on delivering on our mission ‘to be a winning team and thriving community, making the difference on and off the course’.

Henrik Stenson

What's been your favourite LIV Golf event so far and why?

It is a close tie between LIV Adelaide and LIV UK. LIV Adelaide really set a benchmark for what a LIV event can be in terms of attendance, atmosphere, team buy in etc and I am proud to say our ‘home’ event at LIV UK ranked second to only Adelaide in attendance and customer feedback. Having a home event gives us the opportunity to go a bit bigger and think outside of the box when it comes to activations and fan experiences and the Majesticks GC Tee Party and The Majesticks Arms pub were great examples of that this year. Of course, not all the ideas work but I think it is safe to say those did and there will be chances to take them to more events next year.

If you’re coming down to @JCBGolfCC for the @livgolf_league event today, don’t miss the chance to grab a in The Majesticks Arms overlooking the 9th green *the first 150 drinks of the day are on the house pic.twitter.com/HtmC3zKeqK — Majesticks GC (@MajesticksGC) July 26, 2024

So was The Majesticks Arms pub your idea?!

No, I can’t take credit for that idea. It was our head of digital and content Angus Gill and the LIV events team, so they deserve all the credit for bringing The Majesticks Arms to life.

Watch: Poulter makes no-look putt in front of The Majesticks Arms pub at LIV Golf UK!

Do you believe Greg Norman is the right man to take LIV Golf forwards as the CEO?

Absolutely. Greg’s determination has been unwavering to champion the product, the players and taking the game to a global audience and that is exactly what is happening. He has been great to work with, his work ethic is incredible and I have been pleasantly surprised at how available he is to us as GM’s for guidance and support. Like any successful business you need a good team and Greg is assembling one of the best in the business in the likes of Lawrence Burian, Katie O’Reilly, Adam Harter.

Will Majesticks GC remain unchanged for 2025, or could we see new additions to the team?

Yes, we will remain unchanged in 2025 and are very happy with our lineup.

Sam Horsfield

Do you expect to see any more big-name PGA Tour players move to LIV Golf in 2025?

I am honestly not sure what or who to expect but I would be confident to say that the field will be even stronger in 2025.

What are your thoughts on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and PIF attempting to form a commercial entity to unify the game?

Ultimately, I think bringing all the major tours in golf under one umbrella and letting players have the choice to play where they want to across tours, leagues, as they have done historically would be a good thing. Seeing the best players play together more often in different and engaging formats has to be good for the game, the players, the fans and the entire golf eco-system.

Bruce Springsteen’s Wife Patti Scialfa Joins Him for Poignant Duet After Announcing Cancer Diagnosis

Bruce Springsteens Wife Patti Scialfa Joins Him for Poignant Duet After Announcing Cancer Diagnosis

Bruce Springsteen ’s wife, Patti Scialfa , received a rousing E Street welcome back to the stage after recently revealing she was diagnosed with blood cancer.

Scialfa, 71, joined her husband , 74, and his legendary band during their headlining set at the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey, on Sunday, September 15. Together, they sang Springsteen’s 1987 song “Tougher Than the Rest,” a noteworthy choice given Scialfa’s recent admission about her health.

In the new documentary Rock Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band , which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, Scialfa revealed she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, in 2018.

Scialfa cited the condition as why she has not been on the road with Springsteen and the E Street Band on their current tour. “I have to be careful what I choose to do and where I choose to go,” she said in the documentary.

But it didn’t stop her on Sunday, as Scialfa received a raucous welcome from the fans in attendance at the concert, just a stone’s throw from where Springsteen made a name for himself early in his career.

“She’s lookin’ good too!” Springsteen said after introducing his wife, who was dressed in an all-black ensemble.

The couple — who got married in 1991 and share sons Evan , 34, and Sam , 30, and daughter Jessica , 32 — shared a microphone for a performance of the song, which was featured on Springsteen’s album Tunnel of Love .

“Well, there’s another dance / All you gotta do is say yes,” they sang. “And if you’re rough and ready for love / Honey, I’m tougher than the rest.”
