School Trips Yorkshire
Yorkshire is one of the largest regions in the UK, making it not only geographically diverse, but also culturally varied making this region a must see when planning a school trip. If your class is looking to study geography or geology, then you’ve come to the right place. Areas such as the North York Moors and the Peak District National Park are perfect for students who want to discover the beauty of the natural environment. At the other end of the spectrum, you may wish to visit Spurn Point and Flamborough Head, where students can explore the rugged Jurassic coastline and really immerse themselves into the geographical curriculum.
Alongside geography and geology, Yorkshire also has lots to offer when it comes to other areas of the curriculum. Yorkshire is an area which is particularly rich with history. From the Norman Conquest to the Wars of the Roses, Yorkshire has played a central role in some of England’s greatest historical developments. Whether you want to explore the spooky side of Yorkshire on the Shadows of York Ghost Walk, or would rather focus on the history of the Vikings with one of our many Viking Workshops, there is something here for students from all Key Stages who are looking to further their historical knowledge.
Yorkshire truly is a place where education can thrive and prosper. There are numerous school trip venues, accommodation and walking tours where learning can be taken outside of the classroom, into a more engaging and stimulating environment. It is here that students will improve their understanding and perhaps even increase their interest in that particular subject.
