Glasgow's famous hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus goes south and east for first time
R esidents in the east end and the south side might be surprised to see the city's famous hop-on hop-off bus tour making its way around the neighbourhood.
City Sightseeing Glasgow has announced it launched its brand new yellow route on May 17 and that it will run from now until September.
The sightseeing bus will now take tourists from George Square to spots like Ibrox, Celtic Park, Pollock Park, Tennent's Brewery and the Barrowlands as part of the new route which covers the east and south of the city this summer.
The company hopes that the new route will be as popular as its red tour which operates year-round covering west and central areas of the city.

At the time of the announcement, City Sightseeing Glasgow’s operations manager, Richy Graham, said: "We are delighted to launch our new yellow route and showcase a host of popular attractions and venues as well as some of the lesser known but equally fascinating parts of the city.
He added: "Our hop-on-hop-off tours are a great way to explore the city at your own pace. Whether you want to learn more about Glasgow’s industrial heritage, diverse culture, music scene, sports venues or art collections, there is something for everyone on our tour.
"We look forward to welcoming visitors on board our new yellow route this summer."
The new route will also provide access to Govan, Strathbungo, Shawlands and Battlefield area as well as Hampden Football Stadium, it will also take in East end locations like the Emirates Stadium and Tennent's Brewery.
The tour lasts up to one hour and 30 minutes and will operate every 30 minutes from 10am to 4pm, seven days a week. With prices starting from £15 for adults and £8 for children.
