Taylor Swift

Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift ‘s Eras Tour is finally here.

The 52-date trek kicks off Friday night in Glendale, Ariz., at State Farm Stadium with openers Gayle and Paramore. This marks Swift’s first tour since the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018, as her 2020 Lover Fest was canceled before it even began due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, Swift has released three studio albums — “Folklore” and “Evermore” in 2020 and “Midnights” in October 2022 — in addition to re-recording “Fearless” and “Red” (which both came with bonus tracks) in 2021.

Taylor Swift’s Record-Breaking Eras Tour: See the Setlist

by Lorie Liebig August 10, 2023, 5:18 pm

On Wednesday (August 9), the extensive first leg of Taylor Swift ‘s career-spanning Eras Tour came to a triumphant close. During the final performance of six straight nights at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the 33-year-old hitmaker announced that a re-recorded version of her 2014 album  1989  will be released on October 27.

Videos by American Songwriter

The news is just the latest in a sea of special announcements and surprises that have coincided with Swift’s first headlining tour in five years. Since kicking off on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, The Eras Tour has been Swift’s platform to share news directly with her dedicated fans. Along with the release dates for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and the extended edition of her 2022 album Midnights , she debuted her music videos for “Karma” and “I Can See You” from the stage.

The special connection that Swift has fostered with her massive fanbase has helped land The Eras Tour in the history books. The U.S. Justice Department launched a formal investigation into Ticketmaster after unpredicted demand for the tour caused the site to crash during its initial pre-sale.

On a more positive note, sales of beads and craft supplies rose due to thousands of fans creating Swift-themed friendship bracelets to exchange at show dates. The Eras Tour is also on track to become the highest-grossing concert tour in history , breaking a sales record previously held by Elton John.

If you didn’t get to see Swift’s visual spectacle, which includes vignette performances of songs from each of her past albums, you’re in luck. Additional U.S. dates were recently announced for 2024 , with more dates expected to be unveiled in the coming months.

If you don’t have your tickets to the Eras Tour yet, you can get them on StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Here's Taylor Swift's complete set list for the opening night of her Eras Tour

The opening night of Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" helped answer the question on every Swiftie's mind: What is she going to play at her concerts?

Swift kicked off her long-awaited tour Friday, March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, which Mayor Jerry Weiers temporarily renamed Swift City by official proclamation to welcome the singer.

Opening Night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour

The "Eras Tour" is her first concert series since 2018's Reputation Stadium Tour. In the meantime, Swift has released three new studio albums, “Folklore,” “Evermore” and “Midnights,” and she's rerecorded several of her former tracks.

The singer also never toured her seventh studio album, "Lover," as the Lover Fest concert series, scheduled for the summer of 2020, was canceled due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With so much ground to cover, fans speculated how she could fit all 10 eras of her discography into one concert. The result? A three-hour long spectacle featuring more than 40 songs, according to Variety , who also shared footage from opening night on TikTok .

Here's the full set list from opening night, according to Variety .

Another wrote , "forever grateful to live in the same lifetime as taylor swift," sharing a photo of her singing in a dark, shimmery dress.

Opening Night of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour

Though Swift will be playing to stadiums and arenas, many fans were left disappointed when they couldn't purchase tickets from Ticketmaster back in November after the general sale was canceled.

The ticketing company previously said in a statement that over 3.5 million fans registered for the Verified Fan program at the time — the largest number in the company's history. Ticketmaster also noted that they experienced a “staggering number of bot attacks,” contributing to 3.5 billion total system requests, four times its previous peak.

At the level of demand Ticketmaster saw in the fall, the company said that Swift would need to perform over 900 stadium shows, or do a performance every night for the next two and a half years. Ticketmaster was questioned by the Senate Judiciary Committee after the fiasco.

Swift took to social media  on the day the public sale was set to take place, writing in an Instagram story that she's "extremely protective of my fans."

“It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse,” she wrote.

In December, however, some fans got another chance at tickets after Ticketmaster worked with "Taylor's team" to provide additional opportunities.

Taylor Swift Kicks Off Eras Tour with Career-Spanning 44-Song Setlist

Swift broke her career down into her respective album eras as she treated Glendale, Arizona to a three-hour gig Friday

current eras tour setlist

Melody Chiu is an Executive Editor at PEOPLE overseeing music, events and emerging content. She has been with the brand since 2009, editing, writing and reporting across all entertainment verticals. She has written cover stories on Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Melissa McCarthy, Blake Shelton, Jordan Turpin and Sandra Oh. The Los Angeles native graduated from the University of Southern California and has appeared on Extra! , The Talk, Access Hollywood and Good Morning America .

After months of ticketing dilemmas , new song releases and even having her name honored in the city where it all went down , Taylor Swift 's long-awaited Eras Tour officially kicked off in Glendale, Arizona on Friday night.

It was the career celebration fans had been expecting since it was announced in November — and perhaps even an extended (Taylor's Version) of what they expected!

Swift, 33, captivated her audience with a massive, career-spanning 44-song setlist, as the show ran for 3 hours and 13 minutes — with the singer-songwriter nodding to each of her respective album eras and saving room at the end for her latest LP: Midnights .

The setlist itself featured a bit of everything, from debut-era favorite " Tim McGraw " to her latest No. 1 smash "Anti Hero," as Swift ran through selections from all of her studio LPs, from Taylor Swift to Midnights .

During the night, which was opened by Paramore , Swift took a few moments to explain her artistic turns, too. Before performing Folklore 's "Betty," she opened up about her decision to create characters for the Grammy-winning album.

"Sort of a running theme in my music is that I love to explain to men how to apologize ," Swift said. "I just love it. It's kind of my thing. I love to tell them, step-by-step, here's how simple this is to fix things. If you just follow these easy steps that I'm laying out for you in a three-minute song... Just love the idea of men apologizing. And basically, this is a song about a teenage boy named James who was trying to apologize to the love of his life, and her name is Betty."

"Betty" wasn't the only Folklore cut of the night, as Swift also treated attendees to "Mirrorball," "Invisible String," "Last Great American Dynasty," "August," "Illicit Affairs," "My Tears Ricochet" and "Cardigan." But those didn't come until later in the set, as she opened the show with six songs off Lover, before performing three Fearless tracks, five Evermore cuts, four favorites from Reputation, "Enchanted" from Speak Now, and later four selections from Red . The Red era moment wrapped with Swift sharing her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single, "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)."

"The fact that you embraced [ Red ] the way that you did when it came out in 2012, that blew me away," she said. "But then, I never imagined then what you would end up doing a decade later when I wanted to claim that album as my own. So, thank you."

After her detour into Folklore , the musician dazzled with "Shake It Off," "Blank Space" and a few others off 1989 , a brief return to Folklore and her self-titled debut album with "Mirrorball" and "Tim McGraw," and a closing run of Midnights tracks such as "Mastermind" and "Karma."

The opening night notably marked the live debut for several of her songs, especially some off Midnights and Evermore , and gave fans a first glimpse into Swift's elaborate on-stage set-up and outfits.

Swift didn't just throw things back with her set list or stories on stage, either, as her performance attire also nodded back to previous eras. Lover saw Swift rock a Versace bodysuit and blazer, a stunning Roberto Cavalli dress as a nod to Fearless, a Nicole + Felicia gown for Speak Now, an Alberta Ferretti dress for Folklore and a Cavalli top and skirt for 1989 . Elsewhere, she wore an entirely Oscar de la Renta fit with Christian Louboutin boots (which she rocked a few times) for Midnights , a Jessica Jones dress for an acoustic moment, an Ashish T-shirt/romper/coat combo for Red with a Gladys Tamez hat, a Cavalli catsuit and boots for Reputation , and an Etro dress and cape for Evermore .

At times, the stage included a see-through house with lit-up rooms, an enormous platform and many, many nods to her album eras — from familiar visuals displayed in the background to sequences of her diving between songs .

Swift, who wanted to look "nice" for her " guys, gals and non-binary pals ," ultimately put on the career-spanning performance for those who were able to secure tickets despite previously reported Ticketmaster hassles, where the company had to cancel the tour's general sale back in November. And as she said Friday night, she was grateful fans took the time to help her kick of the monumental occasion.

"I'm gonna take a wild guess and say, that if you're here tonight, there's a pretty good chance that you went through a considerable amount of effort to be with us tonight, is that true," Swift asked her crowd, which erupted in applause. "Well, first of all, let me say, on behalf of me and every single performer that you see on this stage — all the band, all the crew, every single person who has been putting together this tour for years — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for wanting to be with us on night one."

Here Are All the Songs in ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ Movie

Find out which songs from the tour setlist were cut

current eras tour setlist

Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” concert film premiered in October to an enthusiastic crowd of celebrities, fans and of course Taylor’s team, with the star of the film in attendance. As one of the first to see the film, TheWrap got the scoop on which songs from the wildly popular tour made the film, and which songs were cut.

After making speeches in multiple auditoriums for separate audiences, Swift, clad in a sky blue floral-patterned dress (probably in theme for “1989 (Taylor’s Version) with her hair pinned up like the signature bob she had when that album first came out), sat back to enjoy the film’s premiere in one of the IMAX screening rooms with her background vocalists and publicist Tree Paine.

The documentary runs 2 hours and 48 minutes, slightly shorter than Swift’s three-hour setlist and performance, which she has brought to 17 of the United States so far in addition to Mexico. The European leg will kick off in November, with Swift returning for 15 more U.S. shows in October and November of 2024. Taylor Swift, The Eras Tour

Swift explained in an Instagram post announcing The Eras Tour in November 2022 that the tour will be a “journey through the musical eras” of her past 10 albums: 2006’s Taylor Swift ; 2008’s Fearless ; 2010’s Speak Now ; 2012’s Red ; 2014’s 1989 ; 2017’s Reputation ; 2019’s Lover ; 2020’s Folklore and Evermore ; and 2022’s Midnights . “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!) The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can! Feeling like the luckiest person alive because I get to take these brilliant artists out on tour with me: @paramore, @radvxz, @phoebebridgers, @girlinred, @whereismuna, @haimtheband, @gracieabrams, @gayle and @owennmusic. I can’t WAIT to see your gorgeous faces out there. It’s been a long time coming 🥰

In a TikTok comment in November 2022, Swift confirmed that “Delicate,” her third single from Reputation , will be on the set list for The Eras Tour. The confirmation came after a TikTok user named Alex posted a video of her singing along to 2018 clip of Swift performing “Delicate” on her Reputation Tour. “Petition to bring this back for eras tour,” the user wrote on the video. Swift responded in the comments with “Done.”

At 3 a.m. ET on October 21, 2022, three hours after the release of Midnights , Swift announced that she released seven more songs as part of a deluxe version of the album  titled Midnights (3am Edition). “ Surprise! I think of Midnights as a complete concept album, with those 13 songs forming a full picture of the intensities of that mystifying, mad hour. However! There were other songs we wrote on our journey to find that magic 13,” she tweeted at the time. She accompanied the tweet with a post that explained that the time 3 a.m. means to her. “What keeps you up at night? It’s a momentary glimmer of distraction,” she wrote. “The tiniest notion of reminiscent thought that wanders off into wondering, the spark that lights a tinderbox of fixation. And now it is irreversible. The flame has caught. You’re wide awake.”

Taylor Swift’s The Eras opening acts include Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Haim, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams and more artists. Two of Swift’s The Eras Tour opening acts have been featured on her songs: Haim, who was featured on the “No Body, No Crime” from Swift’s 2020 album Evermore; and Phoebe Bridgers, who was featured on “Nothing New” from her 2021 album Red (Taylor’s Version) . “I got this random text from Aaron Dessner that was really weirdly worded for him,” she said. “And I was like, ‘What the fuck is this?’ And as I was reading it, I [realised], ‘Oh, my God, it’s from Taylor Swift,'” Bridgers told Billboard in 2022. “We started texting about all kinds of stuff. It was just a total high. It felt like when you meet someone at a party and you’re in the corner all night being like, ‘Me too!’”.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Night 2 setlist: Here's how it differed from Night 1

current eras tour setlist

Taylor Swift told us on opening night of The Eras Tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, that she planned to shake it up — not off — at each stop on her tour with the two-song acoustic set that comes near the end of her performance.

On opening night, we heard "Mirrorball," one of eight songs she performed from "Folklore," and "Tim McGraw," the only song she played from her debut.

On Saturday, her second sold-out show at State Farm Stadium in Swift City, she subbed in "This Is Me Trying" from "Folklore" and "State of Grace" from "Red."

Like opening night, the first of those songs featured Swift on acoustic guitar and while the second one was done while seated at the piano.

Is Taylor Swift Adding 'Tortured Poets Department' Songs To The Eras Tour Setlist?

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Setlist: Will any Tortured Poets Department songs be added?

By Katie Louise Smith

Swifties are convinced that Taylor has dropped some huge TTPD easter eggs in her latest Eras Tour rehearsal video. Will she add the new songs to the Eras Tour setlist?

Listen to this article

Taylor Swift is about to finally embark on the European leg of her Eras Tour – but is she about to change the setlist to include songs from her new ' Tortured Poets Department ' album? Your honour, the Swifties have evidence that proves it could be on the cards.

Taylor kicks off the Eras Tour again in Paris on May 9th. With the release of her new record, fans are already anticipating some of the tracks will pop up as surprise songs throughout the next string of shows. However, a brand new YouTube Shorts video shared by Taylor appears to show her rehearsing for tour with some very prominent 'TTPD' easter eggs on display.

A new white microphone? A new white guitar? Something that looks like a brand new set piece? Here's your deep dive into Taylor's new rehearsal video and what it might mean for the Eras Tour setlist.

Is Taylor Swift changing her Eras Tour setlist?

Taylor Swift drops TTPD easter eggs in tour rehearsal video

In the short 15-second YouTube Shorts video, titled 'A fortnight til Paris', Taylor can be seen rehearsing as normal. But there's several tiny details that have left fans convinced something is afoot... And that something is a new 'TTPD' section being added to the Eras Tour.

In the first clip, Taylor is sitting on the floor, speaking into a white microphone. A white microphone? So what! Well, actually, as some fans have pointed out, Taylor doesn't actually use a white microphone in the current Eras Tour show.

Before the Eras Tour began, a glimpse at Taylor's microphone collection was shared online. The picture included a white mic, but it's since been pointed out that it hasn't yet found a place in the show. Is it finally about to be put to use?

Next up, Taylor can be seen playing a white guitar at the 3 second mark. Fans have clocked that not only does that guitar not feature in the Eras Tour, it's also the one she used when she performed on stage with The 1975 back in January 2023.

But before everyone runs away with those Matty Healy theories, other fans have pointed out that she's used that guitar countless times before during other performances – some as far back as 2017 , during the Reputation era.

Still, a white guitar would certainly fit with the 'TTPD' theme...

The most glaring easter egg in the video, however, is at 11 seconds. Taylor is seen standing next to a set piece that fans have not seen in the Eras Tour before. The metal structure, which appears to look like a railing or maybe even a bed headboard, looks like it has the 'TTPD' logo within it.

On top of that, Taylor also appears to be rehearsing in the same shoes that feature in the 'Fortnight' video.

So, if Taylor really is changing her setlist, what songs will end up getting cut? The Eras Tour is already around 3 hours and 20 minutes long, so some songs will likely have to (sadly) disappear in order for Taylor to add new ones.

At the moment, there's no information about which songs (if any) will get cut if a setlist switch up happens. The 'Folklore' and 'Midnights' sections of the tour are the longest, with 7 songs included in each. If we had to speculate, a couple of songs from those sections may end up being switched out.

Again, there's also no confirmation that Taylor is even adding a new 'Tortured Poets' section yet so everything here is just speculation for now.

We'll find out for sure on May 9th when Taylor returns to the Eras Tour stage.

Is Taylor Swift Teasing ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Additions to the Eras Tour?

By Jon Blistein

Jon Blistein

Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour was already a marathon — three hours, a 45-song setlist on average — and now, ahead of the European leg of the trek, she has 31 more tracks from her new album , The Tortured Poets Department , to choose from.

Swift returns to the stage in just under two weeks, with a four-night run in Paris, May 9 through 12. And in anticipation she shared a video of her preparations on YouTube Shorts that some fans think may be teasing some TTPD editions.

To start, the video is set to “Fortnight” — the album’s lead single and, well, the European tour does start in a fortnight — but eagle-eyed viewers have also picked up on a quick shot of her background dancers in top hats and canes, an ostensibly fresh addition to the wardrobe.

Kristi Noem Doubles Down on Story About Killing Her Dog From Memoir: ‘I Decided What I Did’

Billie eilish would like to reintroduce herself, russian mercenaries hunt the african warlord america couldn’t catch, taylor swift makes chart history with ‘the tortured poets department'.

Even still, it feels reasonable enough to guess — without forensic dissection of a YouTube Shorts clip — that the new era of the Eras Tour will feature some tracks from The Tortured Poets Department because, well, that’s what artists do when they go out on tour: Play their new album. It’s probably just a question of whether this puts a few songs on the chopping block, or Swift truly says, “Fuck it,” and adds another 30/45 minutes to the show.

The European leg of the Eras Tour will run through the summer, wrapping with a five-night stand in London in August. After that, Swift will play a final round of shows in North America , with concerts scheduled in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Taylor Swift dropped some Easter eggs that 'Tortured Poets' might be on the Eras Tour setlist.

But what does that mean for the rest of the Eras?

Taylor Swift is taking the stage again in Paris on May 9. In honor of her return to the Eras Tour, the singer shared fourteen behind-the-scenes clips of her preparing for the upcoming leg — and her fans are convinced that Swift added The Tortured Poets Department to her setlist.

Swifties on X, formerly called Twitter, and TikTok flocked to analyze the videos, coming to an exciting consensus for those who have tickets for upcoming Eras Tour dates. The prevailing theory: Swift dropped plenty of Easter eggs that she incorporated her latest album into the setlist.

After they dutifully dissected all of the clues, Swifties came to a startling conclusion. One tweeted, “oh taylor is really going to add ttpd to the setlist isn’t she.” From a white guitar to a TTPD -looking railing, these Easter eggs are pretty convincing — even for fans who usually don’t buy into the Swiftspiracy theories.

Swift has been encouraging her fans to participate in her “ For A Fortnight Challenge ” — sharing fourteen clips to the tune of “Fortnight.” On April 25, Swift shared one of her own compilation videos, which gave BTS of her Eras Tour rehearsals. “A fortnight til Paris 🤍,” Swift captioned the post. Could this mean that “Fortnight,” the first single off of TTPD , has a spot on the setlist?

In one of the clips, Swift is strumming on a white guitar — one that hasn’t been spotted on the Eras Tour so far. Instead, the guitar looks like what she used when she surprised The 1975’s audience with a performance of “Anti-Hero” at their show in London.

Considering fan theories that Tortured Poets is about The 1975’s frontman Matty Healy , this guitar choice could prove to be an Easter egg that the album is gearing up to make an appearance at Paris Night One.

Between the white guitar and constant white heart emojis, it seems like Swift has decided on white as the color scheme of TTPD . Swifties noted that in some of her “Fortnight” challenge clips, she’s holding a white microphone — which also hasn’t been used on tour up until this point.

On X, one Swiftie pointed out that Swift teased a photo of her tour microphones — including the white one — prior to the Eras Tour, but was never spotted using it until now. Maybe she was saving it for TTPD .

In another snippet, Swift’s backup dancers were sporting some surprising accessories : top hats and canes. Although the Eras Tour crew is often decked out, there’s no song on the *current* setlist that involves these props.

However, in “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?”, one of the most passionate tracks on Tortured Poets , Swift does have a lyric that could explain her dancers’ hats and canes: “I was tame, I was gentle 'til the circus life made me mean / ‘Don't you worry, folks, we took out all her teeth’ / Who's afraid of little old me?” Swifties are taking this as an Easter egg that the song found its way onto the setlist.

Eagle-eyed fans pointed out that in the background of one of the clips, you can *just* make out a desk (above Swift’s right shoulder) — and it doesn’t match the desks used during her “The Man” performance.

Could the furniture be a stand-in for the real “The Man” props? Yes. But could it also be a TTPD prop, especially considering all the office decor in the “Fortnight” music video ? Swifties think so.

The most convincing Easter egg has to be the TTPD symbol . In one part of the video, Swift is holding onto a railing with the “PD” of the TTPD insignia visible. It could be a red herring, but it certainly seems like this means at least one Tortured Poets track will be featured in future Eras Tour shows.

If you focus in a little more on that TTPD railing, you might notice it looks a lot like a bed frame , which could be another reference to Swift’s “Fortnight” music video. It opens to Swift being chained to an empty bed frame, setting the scene for an asylum.

Taylor Swift shares ‘Eras Tour’ rehearsals video – could ‘Tortured Poets’ be added to the setlist?

Taylor Swift has shared a video from rehearsals for the ‘Eras Tour’ , with fans speculating that her new album could be added to the setlist. Watch below.

The pop star is due to begin the European and UK/Ireland leg of her huge career-spanning tour in Paris on May 9. Since wrapping up the previous run of shows in early March, Swift has released her 11th studio record ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ .

So far, the singer has largely stuck to the same 45-track set – separated into her many eras and albums, and including an acoustic ‘surprise songs’ segment .

Swift has now posted some behind-the-scenes footage of herself in rehearsals for her next ‘Eras Tour’ leg, captioning it: “A fortnight til Paris”. The clip is soundtracked by ‘Fortnight’ , her collaborative single with Post Malone .

This has fuelled ongoing rumours that a setlist change could be in the works to incorporate the current ‘Tortured Poets’ era.

“TTPD in the setlist??? I have never been more happy that the Canadian dates were added to the tour late,” wrote one fan on Reddit in response to the video. A second said: “I just KNEW there was no way she wouldn’t add TPD to the setlist!!”

Another Swiftie said they were “so surprised” that the singer appeared to be adding her new songs: “I don’t know why, she loves to do exciting unexpected stuff like this. I just figured it would be too difficult to add it in this far into the tour.”

Others have expressed their concerns over which tracks could potentially be cut.

“I think the songs she cut from the ‘Eras Tour’ movie are what she’s going to cut to put TTPD in,” a Swiftie theorised. “So ‘Cardigan’, ‘The Archer’, ‘Wildest Dreams’…”

Someone else wrote: “Do we think she’ll remove anything to make room for it? It’s already suuuch a long show, surely a whole new set would add 10-15 extra minutes minimum.”

A user on X/Twitter spotted a silver stage railing in the YouTube footage that looks like the ‘TTPD’ logo. Another shot appears to show Swift wearing the same shoes from the ‘Fortnight’ music video.

Some fans have noted that the rehearsals clip seemingly contains new choreography and costumes too. Elsewhere, a Swiftie wrote: “Taylor teased this white microphone before the tour began but it hasn’t had a place in the show… until now!!!”

In response, someone posted: “This is what she means when she says she plans easter eggs far in advance. AHHHHH!!!!”

This summer will see Swift bring her massive ‘Eras Tour’ to Wembley Stadium in London, where she’ll play eight sold-out concerts  with  Paramore .

In a new interview, Florence Welch – who features on the ‘Tortured Poets’ song ‘Florida!!!’ – hinted that she could make a surprise appearance on stage in the capital.

It is widely believed that The 1975 frontman Matty Healy is the subject of several songs on Swift’s new album, namely its title track and ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’ among others.

In a three-star review of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ , NME wrote: “Swift seems to be in tireless pursuit for superstardom, yet the negative public opinion it can come with irks her, and it’s a tired theme now plaguing her discography and leaving little room for the poignant lyrical observations she excels at.

“It’s why the pitfalls that mire her 11th studio album are all the more disappointing — she’s proven time and time again she can do better.”

Shortly after the album’s release, Swift surprise-dropped an extended ‘Anthology’ edition of the record .

Will Taylor Swift add Tortured Poets Department to The Eras Tour setlist?

P aris, France - Taylor Swift has sent fans into a frenzy with new Easter eggs that seem to suggest she will be adding songs from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD), to the setlist of The Eras Tour.

On Thursday, the 34-year-old pop star commemorated a "fortnight" until her return to The Eras Tour with a compilation clip from her recent rehearsals.

"A fortnight til Paris," she wrote under the video, adding the white heart emoji that has come to represent the TTPD era about fans.

But the clip's use of lead single Fortnight was far from the only nod to Taylor's latest album, which dropped on April 19.

Eagle-eyed fans also noticed the singer was seen near a new railing that appeared to bear the TTPD logo.

And that still wasn't all – many Swifties were convinced Taylor's white microphone was another sign, as such a prop hasn't been featured on the tour thus far.

The most suspicious moment of them all, though, was the Grammy winner appearing to rehearse a number with her dancers that showed the backup crew donning top hats, angel wings, and canes.

No such choreography has been performed on The Eras Tour thus far, and some Swifties are convinced they've cracked the code as to which TTPD song it could be connected to.

Which songs from The Tortured Poets Department will Taylor Swift add to The Eras Tour?

By far the most popular theory for this particular number is Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? due to the track's reference to the circus, hence the top hats and canes.

However, if TTPD joins the other nine eras included in the show, its portion is expected to feature more than one song.

As the first single, Fortnight is a strong contender, as well as tour-inspired I Can Do It With a Broken Heart and But Daddy I Love Him .

Of course, with the addition of a TTPD set, mainstays of the current setlist are expected to depart so the show doesn't exceed its already lengthy 3-hour-plus runtime.

The most likely candidates may be picks for the Lover, folklore, or evermore sets. All three received a larger number of songs as the only eras that had not been toured prior to the current concert series.

Swifties will have to wait until opening night in Paris, France, on May 9 to know for sure, and it'll be worth bookmarking a live stream so you don't miss the big reveal – assuming you're not lucky enough to be there in person!
