Ahead of the April 22 release of their new album Planet Zero , multi-platinum band Shinedown have announced the Planet Zero World Tour (produced by Live Nation), with special guests Jelly Roll and John Harvie , and have also released “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo,” a brand-new song from the forthcoming album. 

The Planet Zero World Tour begins in Bonner Springs, KS on September 3 rd , kicking off a 20-date U.S. run of fall shows that will see the record-breaking, chart-topping band bring their new music, #1 hits, fan favorites and biggest stage show yet to cities from coast to coast in support of Planet Zero . Shinedown have announced the Fall 2023 “Revolutions Live” US tour with a stacked support bill of Papa Roach and Spiritbox .

Dates kick off September 3rd in St. Louis and run through an October 20th show in Denver.

A Live Nation pre-sale starts Thursday (May 5th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code ICONIC . General ticket sales begin Friday (May 5th) at 10 a.m. local time. Alternatively, you can look for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out concerts via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

Shinedown will be out in support of their 2022 album, Planet Zero , and the fall trek will follow remaining spring tour dates in early May, plus a string of July shows.

Meanwhile, Papa Roach will also be supporting a 2022 LP, Ego Trip , while upstart prog-metallers Spiritbox continue to support major heavy acts as they continue to ascend the ranks of the mainstream. The Canadian band just released the one-off single “The Void,” which will likely be featured in setlists on the upcoming jaunt.

Shinedown Book 2023 U.S. Tour With Three Days Grace + From Ashes to New

There should be some great rock 'n' roll and a little bit of friendly chart-watching rivalry this spring when Shinedown hit the road with Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New .

The chart-topping rockers Shinedown just announced their "The Revolutions Live" trek which will kick off on April 3 in Saginaw, Michigan, with Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New serving as support on the run.

For the past few years, Shinedown and Three Days Grace have been engaged in a chart battle for most No. 1 songs on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart. Shinedown pulled ahead with their 17th No. 1 with "Planet Zero" early last year, then added their 18th, "Daylight," later in the year. Three Days Grace are right on their heels with "Lifetime" becoming their 17th chart-topper also last year. And as both bands have new albums to support, the chart battle should generate a little friendly rivalry during the run.

Shinedown's latest from their Planet Zero album, "Dead Don't Die," just arrived with a Lewis Carter-directed video that can be seen below, while Three Days Grace most recently released their third Explosions album single, " I Am the Weapon ."

From Ashes to New, meanwhile, saw their Retaliators soundtrack song " The Retaliators (21 Bullets) " hit No. 15 on the Mainstream Rock chart last year, with the song " Until We Break " featuring Memphis May Fire 's Matty Mullins being their most recent offering.

As for the upcoming trek, the "Revolutions Live" tour will play 21 stops along the way. All cities, dates and venues are listed at the bottom of this post. The public on-sale for tickets is this Friday (Jan. 27) at 10AM local time through LiveNation.com . Epic concert, awesome performance at a great theater. it was insanely hot but by the water Jones Beach kept cool. Brent sand awesomely but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of songs from the new album. They sang Get Up but that was it. They also only sang their most popular songs but almost none from their first few albums and none at all that weren’t their most famous. I would’ve liked to hear some more somgs that weren’t as popular as I’ve heard them many times. It was great that they coheadlined with godsmack as they put on a kickass performance also. They really create the classic rock atmosphere with their fans. The crowd was on fire from shinedown and godsmack kept it alive. It also seemed to me that Brent’s voice sounded slightly different, maybe it was mechanized or something because it sounded higher pitched. I’m gusssing he lost his voice over the tour and had to compensate, better that than cancel the show, this was also the last show of the first leg so they’re taking a break. Altogether best concert I’ve ever been.

I really had a great evening, this was my first time seeing them live and they were a lot better than I expected. Brent did talk a lot during songs, sometimes telling us things about the band that were sort of necessary but other times it almost seemed like he kept talking just so he wouldn’t have to play. I was also shocked to realise only 3 songs of their new album were performed; Attention Attention (the album title as well as a song) wasn’t even played, and instead they relied on material from the early 2000’s which I was unfamiliar with (I only know their last two albums in depth). The crowd loved it and could all sing along (so maybe it was my fault for not recognising as much) but I am still confused why the band came on stage with the start of Attention Attention playing and to not even perform that song on stage. Brent wore a jacket with the ‘!’ of the album cover which was also featured on the drums so it all seemed that the evening would be full of new material and still they didn’t go into their new album as much as I’d hoped, they did about 3 songs each from each record. This doesn’t mean I didn’t have a great time, on the contrary, but it didn’t make sense to me that the new album had come out months ago and 75% of what they played was old material.

I love listening to Shinedown's music and I bought Attention Attention. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 was my first time to see Shinedown live in concert. They did not disappoint me. All four band members were full of energy on stage and very engaged with the entire audience (or so it seemed - that's how good they are.) They also sound as good live as they do on their albums which is often not the case with many bands. And the bass player and lead guitar player sang backup and their harmony was spot on. The lead singer briefly explained the meaning behind some of their songs. He also walked onto the floor several times and interacted with the audience on the upper decks and the crowd was very polite and gave him room to perform. Their light show is also very good. Lots of laser lights and designs. The only complaint I might have is there was too much smoke used and at this particular venue it became overwhelming to some. I liked Shinedown live in concert so much, I am purchasing tickets to see them again in a August with Godsmack. Shinedown is phenomenal live!!

Shinedown Announce Fall U.S. Tour With Jelly Roll & John Harvie

Shinedown have announced a new fall tour in support of their approaching album “ Planet Zero “. That U.S. trek will find them out with Jelly Roll and John Harvie . Artist pre-sales will launch tomorrow, March 22nd at 10:00am local time. Venue and radio station pre-sales will follow on Wednesday/Thursday at 10:00am local time. General on-sales will commence this Friday at 10:00am local time.

“ Planet Zero ” is the seventh studio album from the aforementioned multi-platinum hard rock band and it will be out on April 22nd through Atlantic Records .

Shinedown have announced a Spring 2023 US tour in support of their latest album, 2022’s Planet Zero . Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New will support the outing.

The “Revolutions Live Tour” kicks off April 3rd in Saginaw, Michigan, and runs through a May 9th show in Portland, Oregon. Tickets go on sale this Friday (January 27th) via Ticketmaster , with a pre-sale beginning Wednesday (January 25th) using the code SOUND . Fans can also pick up tickets via StubHub .

Last year, Shinedown set the record for the most No. 1 songs at Mainstream Rock radio, when Planet Zero track “Daylight” became their 18th tune to top the chart — breaking a tie with upcoming tour mates Three Days Grace.

On June 3, 2021, Shinedown rocked the charts again by claiming the #1 spot on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Mainstreams Rock Artists chart, marking the 40th Anniversary of the Mainstream Rock Chart. The band has rocked the world with over 10 million records sold to date! Shinedown is from Jacksonville, Florida, formed by singer Brent Smith in 2001 after the dissolution of his previous band, Dreve. Several lineup changes happened in the early 00s, but the band has now settled with Smith alongside Zach Myers on guitar, Eric Bass on bass, and Barry Kerch on drums

From Vacaville, California, Papa Roach was formed in 1993 by lead vocalist Jacoby Shaddix, guitarist Jerry Horton, drummer Dave Buckner, replaced by Tony Palermo in 2007, bassist Will James, who was replaced by Tobin Esperance and trombonist Ben Luther. Their eleventh studio album, Ego Trip, was released on April 8, 2022. Charting at number 115 on the Billboard 200, and number 6 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, it featured the five singles, "Swerve", "Kill the Noise", "Stand Up", "Cut the Line", which became the band's 9th number 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, and "No Apologies", their 8th number 1 on that same chart. The band has, to date, notched 25 top 10s on the chart, dating back to their sleeper hit “Last Resort,” which hit number 4 in 2000.

Heavy metal newcomers, Spiritbox announced their first-ever headline tour this year, The Eternal Blue Tour 2023, will hit 22 cities across North America supporting their phenomenal, chart topping debut album, Eternal Blue, which entered the US Billboard 200 at number 13. Spiritbox is a Canadian heavy metal band from Victoria, British Columbia. Husband and wife duo guitarist Mike Stringer and vocalist Courtney LaPlante established Spiritbox in 2017. The band's full lineup comprises LaPlante, Stringer, drummer Zev Rose, and bassist Josh Gilbert. The band's metal style is difficult to pigeonhole into a specific subgenre, featuring an array of styles that draw from a variety of influences and also incorporating many electronic elements, we guess you could just go ahead and call it progressive metal.

Shinedown are heading back out on the road this spring. The Revolutions Live Tour returns in April with special guests Three Days Grace and From Ashes to New. The trek begins at The Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Michigan on April 3 and wraps up at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on May 9.

“It’s been hard to contain our excitement,” the band said in a statement. “We can’t wait to see you back on the road, Shinedown Nation!”

Ticket pre-sales begin tomorrow, January 24th at 12pm EST, running through Thursday, January 26 at 10pm local time. General on-sales start this Friday, January 27 at 10am local time at shinedown.com . In addition to their headlining dates, Shinedown are also set to perform at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival at The Virginia International Raceway in Alton, VA in September.

Shinedown’s acclaimed seventh studio album  Planet Zero (Atlantic Records), produced by the band’s bassist Eric Bass,   arrived last July. The album debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart and the Official UK Albums Chart, and at #1 on six other Billboard charts including Top Album Sales, Rock, Hard Rock, and Alternative Albums Charts. The band as been touring hard in support of the record, with live shows that feature the biggest production of their career.

Shinedown collaboration with jelly roll “might be in the works”.

Shinedown ‘s Brent Smith and Jelly Roll go way back, and their friendship may extend to the studio.

In an interview with the Spout podcast , Smith was asked whether Shinedown would ever collaborate with the “Need a Favor” artist.

“Hundred percent,” Smith replies. “It might be in the works.”

Smith adds, “I don’t know what I’m talking about right now,” but smiles, “You never know!’

Jelly Roll has previously called Smith a mentor and “one of my best friends.”

“We just have a mutual love for one another,” Smith says of his relationship with Jelly Roll. “This man is the real thing on so many different levels, could not be a more genuine individual. Talented as all get out.”

“I’m so proud of that guy,” he continues. “I love his success and I love watching it.”

Shinedown Drummer Barry Kerch Reflects on 'A Symptom of Being Human' Success Ahead of iHeartRadio Music Awards (Exclusive)

It's been two years since Shinedown released their seventh studio album, Planet Zero , but one of the songs from the project, "A Symptom of Being Human," has grown to be massively successful in just the past few months. In fact, the song landed at No. 18 this week on Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart, with Shinedown nominated for multiple awards at the iHeartRadio Music Awards , which takes place Monday, in Los Angeles. The band are up for Rock Artist of the Year and Rock Song of the Year for their previous single, "Dead Don't Die."

Recently, PopCulture.com had a chance to chat with Shinedown drummer Barry Kerch , who offered his reaction to the "A Symptom of Being Human" becoming a massive hit, while also reflecting on how far the band has come in their 20+ years together. "It doesn't feel like two decades plus has passed," Kerch said, then joking, "It really doesn't, aside from maybe my joints hurt a little more than they did when I was 25 years old."

Kerch added, "Right now, this is kind of an off year in a way, even with the success of 'Symptom.' We're writing whatever the next thing is going to be and just doing sporadic summer shows. So I miss it already."

With  Planet Zero having been out for almost a full two years, it feels like "A Symptom of Being Human" was a time bomb just waiting to go off, as the song hasn't stopped climbing the charts. "To have a record that... in 'record world' two years is an old record," Kerch said. "But the song really just had this slow calm and I think because people relate to it so much and then having the luck of getting on radio, and now Top 40 really has put it into a whole new audience."

When it comes to fan appreciation — to hear Kerch tell it —there are few bands as passionate at making their gratitude known as Shinedown, "Back in the days pre-pandemic period when we did a lot of in-person meet and greets and stuff, we didn't do normal meet and greets," he recalled. "We never did backstage where it's a grip and grin and here's your picture, get out kind of thing. We'd get them all in a room. Two of us would go to one end of the line, two of us go to the other line, we'd shake everybody's hand, talk to them, listen to their stories, and give them an experience."

"These are fans. They're the ones that are employing you, so I'm going to give them the extra time," he continued. then noting that for many fans, meet and greet opportunities "became a therapy session" which can, understandably, be "difficult on us because look, we're emotional musicians and not therapists, and we're kind of messed up in our own heads, as you can tell by most of our lyrics."

Even through hearing many tragic life stories from fans who were touched by songs like "A Symptom of Being Human," Kerch says, "It's weird and it's humbling, and it's amazing. The fact that we can write songs, we can play songs and connect with people and give them relief for their day... That time you come to the concert or that time you listen to the record, that is your time to be able to escape."

"We're not bringing our problems on you," he continued. "We're not bringing the world's problems back on you. It's your time to let that go and have a great time, and it's our job to entertain you to the best of our ability. And with that, we also have a great time." Finally, he confessed, "It's the best drug in the world to be on that stage."
