GIRLSCHOOL To Embark On 'Final Full Tour' Of U.S. In March 2024

The longest-tenured all-female rock band and NWOBHM legends GIRLSCHOOL will embark on their final North American tour next year. The first leg of the trek will see support from LILLIAN AXE and ALCATRAZZ and will kick off on March 21 at Hell's Heroes festival in Houston, Texas and will run through April 6.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m. EST. Pre-sales for Boston and New York City will start tomorrow (Thursday, November 30).

GIRLSCHOOL comments: "We are very excited to announce the first leg of our return to the USA — for the first time in nearly a decade... and for what will be our final full tour of the United States. Also with us on this package we have the brilliant ALCATRAZZ and LILLIAN AXE .

GIRLSCHOOL originated in the U.K. during the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal scene in 1978 and is frequently associated with contemporaries and friends MOTÖRHEAD . They are the longest-running all-female rock band, still active and rocking hard after more than 40 years.

Formed from a school band called PAINTED LADY by Kim McAuliffe and Enid Williams , GIRLSCHOOL enjoyed strong media exposure and commercial success in the U.K. in the early 1980s with three albums of "punk-tinged metal" and a few singles.

In the 1990s and 2000s, they concentrated their efforts on live shows and tours, reducing considerably the production of studio albums. During their long career GIRLSCHOOL toured all over the world, performing at many of the biggest rock and metal festivals as well as co-headlining with or supporting some of the most important hard rock and heavy metal bands in the genre.

They maintain a worldwide cult following and are considered an inspiration for many succeeding female rock musicians, such as THE DONNAS .

Original members McAuliffe and Denise Dufort are still in the band to this day. Original lead guitarist Kelly Johnson died of cancer in 2007 and was replaced by Jackie Chambers in 1999.

In January 2019, GIRLSCHOOL parted ways once again with bassist Williams , making way for the return of Tracey Lamb (formerly of ROCK GODDESS and GIRLSCHOOL 1987-1991 and 1993-2000),solidifying the band's lineup for future live shows and recordings.

GIRLSCHOOL 's 14th studio album "WTFortyfive?" is an outstanding and deliciously dirty declaration that age is a number that shows how much real raw attitude you have when it really counts. Kim , Denise , Jackie and Tracey leave the grit under their fingernails and the scuzz on their crusty leather boots as they riff and stomp their way through 12 statements of intent showing major attitude, some great melodies, and a consistent crunch to every guitar.

Girlschool have announced their final North American tour beginning March 21, 2024 with support from Lillian Axe and Alcatrazz. The tour is scheduled to run through April 6, and tickets are available now.

The Rolling Stones are bringing their hugely successful NO FILTER tour to stadiums in 13 cities across America in 2019 with a stop in Santa Clara, CA on August 18, 2019 at Levi’s®️ Stadium.

The tour follows NO FILTER dates this past year that have taken Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood back out on the road amassing rave reviews as they played to sold out stadiums throughout the UK and Europe. 

Ticket Policy

All guests ages 2 and above must have an event ticket to enter the stadium. There is no re-entry after admittance. Guests should have their tickets ready to scan upon approaching the stadium entry gates. The ticket barcode must be visible no matter the ticket type.  Tickets will not be emailed or available to print. Your mobile ticket must be displayed on your phone to get into the event. 

Visa Box Office The Visa Box Office opens at 4:30pm and is located at the north end of the stadium inside Toyota Gate F. Walk-up tickets may also be available at the Visa Box Office.

Will Call Will call opens at 4:30pm and is located at the Visa Box Office.

Parking lots are scheduled to open at 4:30pm and all guests must be in possession of a valid event ticket, pass or credential to park in a designated parking lot. A few lots have been opened up for prepaid parking here .

Credit Card Lots Credit card lots (day of parking) will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis in all parking lots. Credit card lots for this event are Blue 1, Green 3 and Red 3. 

Accessible Parking Mobility services will be onsite at 4:30pm to provide roving carts throughout Red Lot 1 for assistance to stadium gates. 

Bicycle Parking Bicycle parking will be located at Gate A and opens at 4:30pm. All ticketed guests will be permitted the use of the San Tomas Aquino Creek trail beginning at 4:30pm. The Silicon Valley bicycle coalition will be administering this operation.

Buses/Oversized Vehicles – Tailgate Buses/oversized vehicles that wish to tailgate must park in Blue RV and contact the Visa Box Office at 408-579-4449 to purchase parking in advance.

The following ARE PROHIBITED in the stadium:

• Aerosol cans
• Alcoholic beverages
• Bags that violate the Bag Policy (see Bag Policy above)
• Professional cameras or cameras with detachable lenses (lights, tripods, selfie-sticks and monopods are also prohibited)
• Cans, glass bottles or alcoholic beverages
• Drugs & Drug paraphernalia, marijuana & marijuana products
• Coolers (including soft-sided coolers)
• Glow sticks, light-up costumes, light-up signs, battery packs
• Intoxication or signs of impairment related to alcohol or drugs
• Irresponsible drinking or behavior
• Klaxons, bullhorns, whistles or any other noisemakers
• Laptops and Laptop Bags
• Laser pointers of any type
• Offensive clothing
• Plastic bottles larger than 24 ounces
• Projectiles (footballs, Frisbees, etc.)
• Selfie Sticks
• Signs, banners or poles
• UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles)
• Weapons of any kind (including silverware).

Anyone possessing PROHIBITED items will be asked to return them to their cars, take them to one of our Bag Check stations or dispose of them in the garbage cans provided at the gate.

Valley Transportation Authority (VTA)

VTA will offer extended services for 60 minutes post-concert to Winchester, Santa Teresa, Alum Rock and Mountain View stations.

VTA provides buses and light rail transportation in the greater San Jose area reaching Mountain View, Cupertino, and Sunnyvale. VTA buses will drop off guests in two (2) locations:

› Intersection of Tasman Drive and Great America Parkway › Intersection of Tasman Drive and Calle Del Sol

*VTA Bus Line 251 that services BART patrons to/from Levi’s Stadium will now operate out of the Warm Springs Bart Station. For more information please click here.

VTA light rail trains will drop off and pick up at the Great America Station located north of the stadium. For more information, please visit www.vta.org , or call 408-321-2300.

Caltrain will offer one extra northbound train departing approximately 75 minutes after the event, in coordination with VTA LRT connecting service.

Caltrain provides services from San Francisco to South San Jose with stops all along the peninsula. On event day, Caltrain transports passengers from all locations to connect with VTA light rail trains or buses at the Mountain View Transit Center, located at Evelyn Ave, and Castro Street. Fans heading to the game can get off at the Mountain View station and transfer to VTA light rail to Levis’® Stadium.

All accessible parking will be directed to Red Lot 1. Guests who possess a valid placard will be directed to park in Red Lot 1 and must display their placard at the entrance to be admitted.

Levi’s® Stadium takes pride in providing elite service to all guests including those requiring mobility assistance. We provide a variety of services for our guests with special needs. Included in these services are courtesy shuttle buses from several of our parking lots, golf cart shuttles in the Main Lot, and Guest Services representatives to provide wheelchair service if requested. Assisted Listening Devices will be available at all Guest Services kiosks presented by United located throughout the stadium.

Exit Intel Gate A For fans riding the VTA Light Rail to Caltrain, ride-sharing or who have parked in Red Lot 1 should exit via Intel Gate A.

Exit Dignity Health Gate C For fans parked in Blue Lot 1 or heading to the Charter Bus Parking lot, we recommend exiting via Dignity Health Gate C.

Exit Toyota Gate F For fans riding VTA Buses, taxi or rideshare or who have parked in Yellow Lots 2, 3 should exit via Toyota Gate F.

Drop-off/Pick-up Area for Rideshare

The rideshare drop-off for this event will be at Green 1 West. The pick-up zone at Levi’s® Stadium is in Red Lot 7.  Follow staff & signage for additional direction.

More Details Emerge on the Two Toddlers Who Drowned at a San Jose Daycare Center

We now know the identities of the 18-month-old and 16-month-old who died by drowning while unattended at the Happy Happy Home daycare center in San Jose, and the operators of the center have been charged with felony child endangerment.

It was October 2 when the tragic news broke that two toddlers had died by drowning , plus a third was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, at a home-operated San Jose daycare center called Happy Happy Home. The children were allegedly unsupervised when they fell into a pool. This past Friday, the mother-and-daughter co-owners Shahin Gheblehshenas and Nina Fathizadeh were both charged with criminal negligence and felony child endangerment resulting in death , according to Hoodline.

We soon learned who the children were, and their grieving families have posted remembrances online. According to a GoFundMe, one of the victims is 18-month-old Payton Cobb . “In the short time Payton was with us she blossomed into a beautiful, energetic, joyful, and very personable little girl,” the GoFundMe campaign says. “She brightened every day for (parents) Jacob and Anjel. We have no words to describe the grief that their family is experiencing right now."

Meanwhile, the family of 16-month-old victim Lillian "Lily" Jade Hanan created the above video for her Celebration of Life. “Lily Jade was a miracle baby for Josephine and Scott Hanan after more than 15 years of trying. She was born in Savannah, GA and openly adopted at birth,” the family wrote in an obituary. "Lily knew Baby American Sign Language and her first signs were ‘light on’ and ‘light off’. She routinely used ‘lights off’ to request her parents to ‘turn off the sun’. She was estimated to be just a few weeks from speaking verbally."

A third victim, a 2-year-old boy, survived after reportedly also being found floating in the pool with the two girls.

According to San Jose police, they received a call at 9 a.m. reporting the drowning. Gheblehshenas was at a different daycare facility at the time of the drowning, and Fathizadeh was the only worker present. She was making breakfast when the unattended children fell into the pool. The main issue, reportedly, was that a protective fence with a gate around the pool had been left open for someone to water plants.  

“There is a responsibility to watch over little children in your care like a hawk,” Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen said in a statement . “Now it is our responsibility to make sure that these defendants are held accountable for this avoidable and heart-breaking tragedy.”  

Gheblehshenas and Fathizadeh are both scheduled to be arraigned on December, 2023, at the San Jose Hall of Justice.

At 2 a.m. on Friday, Swift announced that "The Tortured Poets Department" was actually a surprise double album and dropped 15 additional songs on streaming for "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology." The run-time of the full extended album clocks in at a little over two hours with 31 total songs, making it a true Swiftie feast.

All physical versions of the original "The Tortured Poets Department" are currently available to purchase in stores and online (although the cassette version sold through Swift's website is currently unavailable). Alice is struggling to untangle a bridle -equipment she should have put away properly yesterday - when Lilian says they need to be on their A-game for a vet inspection today. If she is tired she should have a strong coffee. Later, as Kate and Alice discuss plans for pet yoga at Spiritual Home, Lilian arrives, furious. The inspection was a disaster; the medicine cabinet was left unlocked, the feed bin unlabelled and there was an out-of-date riding hat. All things Alice should have been on top of. She is apologetic, explaining Martha has been difficult. Lilian says she’s confused as Chris knows nothing of this. Alice covers, saying Chris fusses about Martha so she doesn’t tell him unless she needs to. The inspector will submit a report to the council which gives them time to put things right. But if Alice doesn’t pull it together they could lose their licence. Later a worried Lillian seeks out Kate. She is concerned about the stables and Alice’s lies about why she’s not sleeping - she fears she might be drinking again but doesn’t want Brian to know. Kate agrees to keep an eye on her. Ed and Emma win an online auction for a chainsaw and Ed says he’ll pick it up as the seller is local. Later when he and Will are separating lambs from ewes for weaning they discuss the business. But Will is horrified at plans to name it after Ed and Emma – he favours Ultimate Aboriculture. Ed is outraged, but Emma is diplomatic – despite thinking the suggested name is bobbins - and Will leaves, satisfied.
