Moscow Tour/Red Square

My wife and I had a great and informative tour with Alexandar of Moscow Private Tours. I recommend this tour company and guide!!!

I went on this tour with my father, and were met at our Moscow hotel by our tour guide, named Julia. She proceeded to walk with us through the city, taking us to highlights and points of interest. There was a lot of walking involved, but we covered a great deal of the city by foot. Julia was knowledgeable, kind and attentive throughout, even stopping to give to a homeless person and constantly checking we were alright throughout the walk. She took us to various locations, each a little different and interesting nonetheless. A particular highlight was the Russian café she took us to for lunch as part of the tour. Her English was good, and the tour locations carefully planned. I would recommend this tour strongly.

We paid £204 in advance for a one day tour of the Kremlin and Armoury. They cancelled at the very last minute ( as we were travelling to Moscow) - apparently the Kremlin Museum had not signed any agreements with them for 2018, so why they were taking bookings and money from people in 2018 I do not know. They offered to refund us the whole amount, so we went ahead and booked our own tickets for the Kremlin online( much cheaper) as soon as we got their email cancelling. Later on that evening we got an other email saying that they had reinstated our Tour and it would be with a different tour guide. We got the hotel concierge to ring the guide to tell them that we had gone ahead and booked tickets ourselves. They now have refused to give us a full refund as they say WE cancelled the tour. A bit unprofessional I would say. They completely messed us around. We went to the Kremlin on our own and really enjoyed it and found it hard to justify the £204 price tag they are charging people. The queues were none existent ( to be fair we did go out of season) we got an audio guide which talked us through the history- Having done the complete Tour on our own that we would have done with this company I would definitely not recommend them - Apart from having messed us around, not giving us a full refund , I cannot see how they can justify this price.

Dear Claire, Firstly, I would like to thank you for choosing our guided tours during your visit to Russia. Thanks for your 5-star review for us in St Petersburg. And I am very sorry that you hadn't opportunity to ensure that we provide the same 5-star service in Moscow as well. We sincerely regret that you had an unpleasant experience with the booking process of your visit to the Moscow Kremlin. This was an unlucky coincidence and force major that the Kremlin was renovating all the contracts with ALL the partners during the short period of 5 days when you have scheduled your visit with us. As part of our personal approach we tried all possible options to arrange your tour. Our manager contacted you by e-mail several times giving the updates and offering you all possible options, but as we received no answer from you be e-mail, it was decided to do everything possible to keep with the initial scenario and to make your visit possible in order not to spoil your trip. And eventually we did manage to arrange your visit to the Kremlin exclusively as a one-off case and we were really sorry to know that you decided to cancel the tour the night before it had to happen. We fully understand your disappointment, but on the other hand please allow us to emphasise that we went an extra mile from our end to make your visit to the Kremlin possible. We have also reimbursed in full the amount you have paid as an exception, although we were charged by the Kremlin for you visit.

We went on tours with Darya three days in a row - at all times she was very pleasant and extremely well informed. She was able to answer all sorts of our questions about the various buildings and sights as well as local history. You really got the impression that an extremely well informed local friend was showing you around as opposed to a tour guide. I would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to visit the area.

I've already written about the walking tour (and metro stations) that we did with Anna- just amazing. Anna accompanied us again for the driving tour. This is a good tour and the guide was excellent - you need to be prepared to go to places that you might not have heard of, but we had a great trip - really interesting. On our final morning, Darin was our guide and the objective was a Kremlin tour and Lenin's mausoleum before we had to leave for our flight home. Daria was brilliant - we went round the Kremlin museum with her pointing out all the "masterpieces" and telling us about them. We were short on time so she ran from the museum to make sure we got in the queue for Lenin before it closed. Her knowledge (and Anna's) was superb - this company has fantastic guides that really help you get to know something of Moscow.

We visited Moscow for 4 days (for new year 2018) We contact Michael Shteingauz from Israel to help us. He gave us many tips even before scheduling the tour. His driver picked us from the Air-Port to the hotel. The tour was very interesting with a lot of information. Michael is very polite, came on time gave us an excelent tour. Will definetly book him again.
