Lewis Capaldi Will Bring the Heartbreak on New Album and Tour

Scottish singer-songwriter (and late-night Harry Styles texter ) Lewis Capaldi has officially announced his second album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent , which will arrive May 19, 2023, on Capitol Records.

The album follows Capaldi’s hugely successful 2019 debut, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent , which featured the musician’s breakthrough single, “Someone You Loved.” A full track list for Broken by Desire hasn’t been released yet, but it will feature Capaldi’s latest single, “Forget Me” (which recently got a goofy video based entirely on the classic Wham! clip for “Club Tropicana”).

To make Broken by Desire , Capaldi reunited with the songwriting/production trio, TMS, as well as Phil Plested, both of whom he worked with on Divinely Uninspired . The new record also features contributions from pop’s most indomitable hitmaker, Max Martin.

What Time is Lewis Capaldi's Philadelphia Concert?

Doors open at 7:00 pm for Tuesday night's concert. The concert starts at approximately 8:00 pm. The opening act, Em Beihold, will take to the stage shortly after 8 pm.

How Much Does Parking Cost for the Lewis Capaldi Concert at the Met Philadelphia?

Parking passes for the Met Philadelphia are available to purchase online. There are two types of passes available.

VIP Parking Passes are located in lot A, The Met says.  Preferred Parking passes are located in lot D.

Lot A opens 1 hour before doors (So that would be 6 pm for this show). Lot D opens at 6 pm on weeknights.

You can look around for additional parking in the area, but keep in mind the distance and safety of your walk.

What is the Bag Policy at the Met Philadelphia for the Lewis Capaldi Concert?

Small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (4.5" by 6.5") are allowed.

They do not need to be clear. Larger bags must be clear totes, and no other types of bags will be allowed.

All bags of 12"x12"x6" are prohibited.

Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish alternative singer and songwriter. He has released a number of EPs in anticipation for his debut album, which is titled “Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent”.

Musically, Lewis Capaldi is a cross between Ed Sheeran, Bastille, and Rag ‘N’ Bone Man. He opened for Bastille on his 2018-2019 tour. He has a booming, powerful voice set above melodic guitars.

Lewis Capaldi’s biggest singles so far include “Grace” and “Someone You Loved”. Someone You Loved made it to #1 in Lewis’ home country of Scotland and was a big success. The 2019 world tour that accompanied the album was Lewis’ biggest yet.

Lewis Capaldi has announced his next album, ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’.

Lewis Capaldi is officially back in our lives after dropping his latest single ‘Forget Me’ earlier this summer and the ballad king has just confirmed he’s releasing his second album in May 2023.

The 26-year-old took to Twitter on Tuesday to tell his followers his brand new album, called ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’, will come out on 19th May 2023 and that he’s also heading on a world tour.

The EP is a follow-up to his debut album released in 2019, ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’.

Lewis’ tour kicks off on 14th January in Leeds and goes on until 18th July in Wellington, New Zealand.

Fans can’t wait to see Lewis back on the road again, flooding his announcement with their excited replies.

After returning to the charts with his number 1 single ‘Forget Me’, the singer-songwriter announced his brand new record Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent which will be released on May 19th next year.

For album two, the idea is simple but potent: to emulate the success of his hugely popular debut Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

Selling over 10 million copies worldwide, the album propelled Lewis into superstardom and it became the biggest selling UK album of 2019 and 2020, as well as bagging a few BRITs and a Grammy nomination along the way.

“I don't want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself.” says Lewis. “The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”

After selling out headline shows to hundreds of thousands across the continents, Lewis has gone on to headline his first ever festivals, on top of two sold out nights at London’s O2 Arena last month.

He'll now take to the road next year for a full arena headline tour across the UK & Europe.

Lewis Capaldi was class, one of the best concerts I’ve been to. The atmosphere was just electric with the crowd being so supportive and enthusiastic towards the music. His humour in between his songs throughout the concert made it 100 times better as Lewis forms a strong connection with the audience, making him loved even more, if possible, by his supporters. I loved seeing Lewis Capaldi in concert and without doubt I would go to see him perform live again, it was a great experience.

BUT, the staff should give away free water from the front to back. Everyone that is not standing in the last row, and stands next to the bar, has no chance of drinking anything. I find it really uncomfortable, because dancing and singing makes verry thirsty! And if you are scared of the people thowing the bottles at the act, just give the water in cups. PLEASE!

Phenomenal show, even better live. Funny grounded charming and truly cares about his fans.

The only issue was the venue had the volume way to loud and the instrumentals and bass drowned out his voice and reverberated off the infrastructure creating a terrible noise. It's a fairly small venue and speakers of that power are completely unnecessary.

Extremely amazing show, huge amounts of talent including Billy Locket. Lewis was funny and entertaining whilst also portraying his emotion the whole way through the songs. He dealt with technical issues and any mistakes made extremely well and made it fun for everyone. An unforgettable experience. Would definitely go again!

The concert was great - especially the entrance and the beginning of the concert

But in our opinion, the talkingpart between the songs took over and any variation of f**k was used way too much.

Nonetheless, we will still go to an other concert of Lewis Capaldi, because the songs and the performance were breathtaking!

I was great his voice sounds even better in live than in studio but.. Pretty disappointed he hasn’t performed the whole album and I wished it had confetti at the show just like the previous ones.

I’ll come back and bring people to enjoy the next show.

Lewis was amazing live! His voice sounded the exact same as on his records and he kept cracking jokes in between songs. He had everyone dying with laughter, joking about how love is dead and how he lost his Grammy nomination to Billie Eilish. Was lucky enough to see him in Glasgow, Scotland near his hometown!

The show was amazing! I had such a good time Lewis is one of my favorite artist, and the whole vibe was just brilliant! I also liked how he comunicates with the audience, he makes the best jokes! I really enjoyed it and I hope that he will be back in Prague again!

Utter brilliance, best gig I’ve been too and I’d happily re do the night if it were possible! Support acts all the way to lewis capaldi just phenomenal. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to listen to amazing music and a great rising star in lewis.

Following his comeback last month, with the release of “Forget Me”, Lewis Capaldi has now announced a UK arena tour for 2023, as well as the release date for his highly anticipated second album .

After teasing “huge news” was coming on his Instagram Stories, Lewis announced the news on social media on October 18. He also returned to his Stories to add that he was “so proud” of the album and that he thinks it’s better than his debut album. He even revealed that more songs would come out before the full album release on 19 May 2023.

Titled Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent , this new album is the follow-up to his 2019 record Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent which included hugely popular tracks like “Somone You Loved” and “Before You Go”. Speaking about what fans can expect from the album, Lewis said: “I don’t want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself. The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”

‘Back To Black’: The Story Behind Amy Winehouse’s Hit Song

Fans will get the chance to see Lewis perform live as he heads on his arena headline shows across the UK and Europe. He will be performing at arenas up and down the country, with 11 dates in total including Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow, and many more. Tickets will be on sale from Friday, October 28 at 9am, with early access available to those who pre-order Capaldi’s new album.

The singer-songwriter’s tour will start in January 2023, in Leeds and continue throughout the month into February, where he will end in Exeter on February 2.

Who is he? Lewis Capaldi is a 26-year-old singer-songwriter from Scotland.

• Capaldi first rose to fame with the success of his hit single, "Someone you loved" topping the UK charts and propelling him to stardom in 2019.
• Since then, Capaldi has had five number 1 hits in the UK, toured across the globe and released a Netflix documentary that outlines his struggles with mental health while navigating his sudden and overwhelming fame.
• In September of 2022, Capaldi shared in an Instagram livestream that he had officially been diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary vocal or motor tics.
• Tourette's is also widely misunderstood and far more common than one might think. Tics can become more prominent due to factors like stress and anxiety.
• More recently, Capaldi has canceled several weeks of shows to rest and recover over concerns regarding his health.

What's the big deal? Capaldi was slated as a headliner for this year's Glastonbury Music Festival, one of the biggest events in live music. His previous show cancellations had been, in part, because he wanted to prepare for this performance.

• But his return to the stage, like most things in life, didn't go according to plan. After getting a few songs into his set, Capaldi's voice began to give out, much to his frustration, according to BBC music correspondent Mark Savage.
• Even as he struggled to continue, the crowd of thousands encouraged him to keep going, singing his lyrics and chanting his name.
• Towards the end of his set, when he performed "Someone you loved," his tics became more frequent. The audience burst out to help him finish the song, in a moment that made everyone who worked on this article a bit misty-eyed.

Lewis Capaldi has announced a huge UK tour which will include one night in Liverpool at the M&S Bank Arena.

This comes after a tweet from the popular singer, hinting at a tour and new album. The pop star returned to the UK charts after releasing his first song in nearly three years with single 'Forget Me.'

After his eagerly-awaited return last month, Lewis Capaldi has also announced a new album 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent' which will be out on May 19, 2023. The album will follow up his debut 'Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent' which was the biggest selling UK album of both 2019 and 2020.

Lewis Capaldi is ending his 2023 world tour earlier than expected, days after he struggled to perform his set at this year’s Glastonbury music festival.

The “Someone You Love” singer, 26, revealed Tuesday morning that he will be taking a break from touring, canceling his shows for the remainder of the year. He informed his fans of the “most difficult decision” in a statement shared on Twitter and Instagram .

“I’m very sorry to let you know I’m going to be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future,” he wrote.

Capaldi, who had canceled his shows earlier this month in preparation for England’s Glastonbury, said he needs more time away from the stage to “adjust to the impact of my Tourette’s.”

He added: “On Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come.”

The singer revealed in September 2022 that he was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome . According to the Mayo Clinic , Tourette syndrome is a disorder that “involves repetitive movements or unwanted sounds (tics) that can’t be easily controlled.” These tics usually manifest by age 15. Men are three to four times more likely to develop Tourette syndrome.

Upon revealing his diagnosis last year, Capaldi said his treatments included getting Botox in his shoulder to control the unwanted movements. He also said he experiences the tics “all the time” — even while performing.

Over the weekend, Glastonbury fans helped Capaldi complete his performance of “Someone You Love” after he struggled to sing the lyrics. According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer ended his set on Saturday by announcing that he will “be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks.”

In his statement Tuesday, the Grammy-nominated hit-maker thanked his family, friends and medical experts who have supported him “during this past year when I’ve needed it more than ever.”

The 26-year-old Scottish singer revealed in an Instagram post that he hasn’t been ‘properly home since Christmas’ and it’s taken a toll on his mental health.

Capaldi, who rose to fame in 2019 for his ballads, has been open about more than just his Tourette syndrome diagnosis. For the Netflix documentary, “Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now,” the singer spoke about his struggles with anxiety and impostor syndrome.

“I’ve never been more insecure in my life than I am now,” he said in a trailer for the March documentary. “And I think that’s got worse the more success I’ve got.”

In recent months he also spoke about how mounting mental health struggles affect his career. He told the Times of London in April that “the pressure of the job is the problem.”

“The mammoth tours of enormous venues. The expectations upon me,” he said. “That’s surely anxiety-inducing for anybody, never mind a huge hypochondriac like myself.”

While Capaldi says he will be getting the rest he needs, he also apologized Tuesday to fans who planned to attend his now-canceled concerts. It’s unclear whether fans will receive a refund.

“I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve,” he said. “Playing for you every night is all I’ve ever dreamed of so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. I’ll be back as soon as I possibly can. ❤️”

S oulful singer Teddy Swims, who first gained attention by posting cover tunes recorded in his bedroom studio, is to make the audience "Lose Control" when he comes to Kemba Live on Sept. 23.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at axs.com . General admission ticket prices are $44.50 in advance and $50 day-of show. Platinum seating tickets cost $200. There is a four-ticket limit per person.

Swims, whose real name is Jaten Dimsdale, was a high school football player in Conyers, Georgia, who discovered his passion for performance after taking a musical theater class at a teacher's recommendation. He later began his music career by playing in a variety of Atlanta-area bands.

He began attracting fans in 2019 through his YouTube channel, covering songs by artists including Michael Jackson, Lewis Capaldi , Chris Stapleton , Amy Winehouse and H.E.R. His rendition of Shania Twain 's "You're Still the One" is his most viewed video, with 162 million views to date.

Swims released four EPs before his 2023 debut album, "I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1)," which features the breakout single, "Lose Control." The bluesy song reached the Top 10 in several countries and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart this year. A four-track follow-up, "I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1.5)" is due out Friday.

His performance at Kemba Live is part of the fourth headlining tour for Swims, who also has opened for Aerosmith , Greta Van Fleet and Zac Brown.

Turkish-Italian DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Carlita signed with Ninja Tune via its imprint Counter Records, which released her latest single, “Time.” She is booked and managed by Alberto Bragado .

Ukrainian band Okean Elzy signed with Warner Music , which will release the group’s first entirely-English album globally, including in the United States, where Elektra will handle distribution. The band is preparing for a series of charity gigs for its Help for Ukraine Tour, with shows slated in Ukraine and other European countries including Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland. The group is represented by manager Joel Mark at 9122 Management and Brian Cohen and Joe Friel at WME for booking.

Melbourne, Australia-based vocalist, lyricist and producer Vetta Borne signed with [PIAS] Australia , which put out her latest track, “40-40.”

Americana singer-songwriter Cassandra Lewis signed to Elektra/Low Country Sound , which will release her forthcoming major label debut album, Lost in a Dream , later this year. She’s managed by Mark Cunningham , Bruce Flohr and Eleanor Kohl at Red Light.

Argentine Star Paulo Londra Signs With Dale Play Records

Country singer Kanaan Brock signed to 10th Street Entertainment for management. His debut single, “Sinner and Saint,” is out now.

M Music & Entertainment Group and Freddie Records signed up-and-coming norteño artist Nathan Acosta . The record deal comes ahead of his upcoming debut single, titled “Solo” and penned by Jesse Turner (of Grupo Siggno), which is set for release on April 19. Born in San Antonio, Tex., Acosta is a singer-songwriter and accordion player who was most recently on tour with Grupo Siggno and Jennifer Peña across the United States and Mexico. “This is an absolute dream come true for me,” Acosta said in a statement. “Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of being able to record and play music in front of big crowds.” – Griselda Flores

HE only bought a fancy new house in a leafy part of North London last month but Lewis Capaldi is already one of the area’s most popular celebs.

Insiders at his favourite boozer told me that the Scottish Beyonce has already enamoured himself with residents — who have branded him their favourite famous face.

And it seems the Someone You Loved singer is keen to ingratiate himself further into the fold by getting involved in the local footie scene.

A source said: “Lewis has found a home for life here and everyone loves him.

“He is a regular in a few of the local pubs and has got great banter with the locals.

“Lewis is a big football fan and has said he’d be keen to get involved if the chance came up.

“He’s got a load of famous mates like Harry Styles , in the area, and Liam Gallagher and Patrick Kielty live nearby too, so he could band together a whole team to take on the locals.

“He seems really happy and is in such a great place.

“Everyone who sees Lewis is so pleased to see how well he’s doing.”

We told last month how Lewis had splashed out £3million on a house close to Harry’s in the capital.

He has been spotted in recent weeks hanging out with his girlfriend, actress Ellie MacDowall, as he takes time out of the spotlight.

Lew’s second album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, went straight to the No1 spot last year.

He later went on an extended break after struggling with his mental health.

But in January he treated fans to an extended version of the record with five new songs.

Lew said at the time: “I’m going to continue taking some time to carry on looking after myself, maybe writing some music and taking a moment to reflect on some of the most incredible years of my life.

“I want to make absolutely sure I’m 100 per cent before getting back out there again properly for more shows and doing what I love more than anything.”

I can’t wait to see Lewis back on stage again but looking after himself is the most important thing.

It's all change for Zen

ZENDAYA has nailed the four-hand smash on her Challengers junket tour.

The Hollywood actress plays a tennis coach in the new film and showed off four amazing outfits as she promoted it in New York.

Although she admitted earlier this week she had no idea about tennis before starting work on the film, Zendaya has clearly been using Wimbledon for style inspiration.

She kicked off the day in a smart white top and trousers for a fan screening of Challengers at AMC Lincoln Square before changing into a Kylie Minogue -style hooded dress.

Zendaya then switched up for her look again – and wore a tennis ball-coloured dress at Zero Bond in the Big Apple, before putting on a grey top and trousers for a well-earned dinner at Mamo.

Given how hard Zendaya has been working on the promo trail for Challengers, I hope for her sake it’s ace.

Scott has Swift reply

TAYLOR SWIFT’s new record The Tortured Poets Department has broken records since its release this time last week and today is at the No1 spot in the album chart.

Despite this, Pet Shop Boys frontman Neil Tennant says he cannot understand the Taylor “phenomenon”.

I told you on Wednesday that Neil had questioned whether she really had hits, saying: “What is Taylor Swift’s Billie Jean?

“Shake It Off? Is it though? I even know that is the answer but I listened to that the other day and it is not Billie Jean, is it?”

In my eyes, Neil couldn’t have been more wrong.

And now Scott Mills has agreed with me.

He said on his Radio 2 show yesterday: “Neil from Pet Shop Boys has questioned the success of Taylor Swift.

“Taylor Swift, the biggest pop star on the planet.

“But, apparently, Neil can’t name any famous Swifty songs.”

Reeling off her accolades, including the No1 position today, Scott added: “She was 2023’s Person of the Year, she’s won 14 Grammy awards and has so far had eight UK No1s. She’s quite big, Neil.”

Jokingly, Scott added: “You know she will now write a song about you, Neil, I hope you realise.”

Be warned, Neil. The Swifties have quite the bite.

Ricky is stage struck

JIM and Barb reunited in Stockport after Sue Johnston surprised her Royle Family hubby Ricky Tomlinson.

He is appearing in a new UK-wide production called Irish Annie and was stunned when Sue walked out on stage this week.

She was in character as the BBC sitcom’s long-suffering Barb and she strolled on mid-performance to shock Ricky and then said: “I thought I would find you in Irish Annie’s pub”

Afterwards, Ricky admitted: “I had no idea Sue was making an appearance and it was a wonderful surprise.”

The Royle Family is one of my stepdad Alan’s favourite telly shows, and we were both gutted when the final special was screened in 2012.

In 2028, it will be 30 years since it first came out, so I’m holding out hope for an anniversary special.

Madonna ex in Rio gig snub

MADONNA’s ex Jesus Luz will swerve her huge beach concert in Brazil after a major falling out.

The pair managed to stay friends following the end of their two-year romance in 2010.

But now he won’t be going to her huge May 4 gig.

The model told local press in Rio De Janeiro, where Madonna will wrap up her Celebration tour: “There’s no way to pretend that everything is fine. I had a disagreement with her last week, via text. And I’m not going to the show.”

Oh to be a fly on that WhatsApp chat.

More than a million fans are expected to be heading to Copacabana Beach for the concert, which Madge is putting on for free, so I doubt Jesus will be missed.

Chris is short on style

DON’T worry, Chris Pine has not gone a little bit strange and sacked his stylist.

The Hollywood actor, who usually looks pretty hot, top, dressed up as the leading character from his new film Poolman during the Toronto International Film Festival.

Chris, who appears in the film alongside Danny DeVito and Jennifer Jason Leigh, went full method with shaggy hair and shorts – and even drove up to the red carpet at the Vista Theatre in his character Darren Barrenman’s Awesome Aquatics pool cleaning van.

I’d need a few G&Ts before I’d be persuaded to do that.

Penguin power

WE celebrated the brilliant Brentford Penguins FC last year at The Sun’s Who Cares Wins Awards – and got David and Romeo Beckham to surprise founder Allan Cockram with the Unsung Hero gong.

Now children in the club, who have Down’s Syndrome, are now going to be seeing a little bit more of Romeo after he became an ambassador for the Penguins.

Roman: nice side of nepo

ROMAN KEMP is embracing his “nepo baby” label and says he isn’t alone.

On The Brits Podcast, which is back for a third series, the radio DJ said that being the son of Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp has its upsides – despite the fact he regularly gets the mickey ripped out of him.

When asked if he’s got a nepo WhatsApp group, Roman said with a laugh: “Yep. Me, Brooklyn Beckham and Lily Allen ,” before adding:

“It’s the best. People go, ‘You haven’t worked’. Well, actually I have worked but I’ve had really nice things.”

Roman told host Jordan Stephens he is now working to get his FA football badges after quitting Capital FM’s Breakfast Show.

When asked about his plans for the future, Roman said:

“Football coaching. I’m going to do One Show as well but I’m going to do my coaching.”

As a joke, he added: “Nepo ref.”

I can hear the chants already.

Mabel gets a vitamins boost

MABEL is back today with her new song, called Vitamins.

The track is inspired by her early R&B roots and she told me: “It is my family and friends’ favourite out of all the music I’ve made over the past couple years.”

In a nod to her boyfriend, Sony executive Preye Crooks, Mabel added: “It’s a reminder to the man I love to take care of himself, but also that in difficult times I’ll always be there in his corner.”

Meanwhile, Griff has announced her debut album Vertigo, out on July 19, and a world tour that includes dates in Glasgow , Birmingham , Bristol and London.

Today, Florence And The Machine reveal a special BBC Proms performance on September 11, celebrating 15 years since debut album Lungs.
