The concert was pure Heaven! Willie was absolutely amazing! He walked right out, picked up Trigger and he did not stop! It was one classic memory after another! His son Micah stood to his right, there was a bass player, a snare drummer and a guy that played the harmonica, together they played flawlessly! The sound was magical ! I was worried the quality of Willie’s music would have been less than standard because of his age....but he left me wanting nothing! When he played Trigger, his fingers floated across the strings and could be described as nothing but pure perfection. I must say that hearing children laugh, waves on the beach and Willie play his guitar are my top three favorite sounds to hear. Last night was a dream come true. I will cherish this memory for the rest of my life. I smiled through the entire concert, and honestly, I am smiling now. Thank you Willie Nelson!

Now, the opening act was a lady named Cassidy Daniels and she was a doll! Her sound is an updated Janis Joplin, and I totally want to hear more from her!

Seeing Willie Nelson was A big check off of my bucket list! Getting to hear Cassidy Daniels for the first time was icing on my cupcake!

Most in our group had a great time last night at Willie Nelson and Family, with opener Tennessee Jet. I say “most”, because others were less able to ignore a growing trend: people spending more time documenting their time at a show than actually being in the moment enjoying the show. This is not limited to the occasional snap of a pic, but taking group pictures with their backs to the stage, selecting the perfect shot, posting it to social media and discussing the responses. STOP IT PEOPLE!

Now for the show. Willie was, well, Willie. Yes he’s in his eighties, and no longer possesses the vocal range of his youth, but he has found new ways to express the soul of the words that if anything, allow one to rethink a tune they’ve long since committed to soulless, rote memory. And his guitar playing? Masterful, and still so uniquely his. If Id been led blindfolded into the venue, I would have known at the strum of the first cord who I was hearing. The band, friends and family, complemented him perfectly, neither overstepping nor understating the partnerships.

Some complained the show was short and there was no encore, but I think if they review the setlist, they’ll note there were many tunes; there was just not any meaningless banter and the whole encore routine is kinda tired anyway.

To those signed up to see a show to come. You'll have a great time, if you limit your in-show screen time.

Arrived in South Carolina to the arena to a sign saying the show was cancelled. I called the ticket vender to ask about the tickets. They said the could not confirm that the show was cancelled at that would attempt to find ot in 72 hours and the "might" email me.

So I can't review the show. I may have to litigate. They said they may not be able to refund. So I may make a criminal complaint. Or more simply..

Got my lawyers number saved in my phone.

Willie Nelson misses start of tour 'on doctor's orders'

Willie Nelson has been forced to miss the opening shows of his joint tour with Bob Dylan "on doctor's orders".

The 91-year-old singer was due to launch the Outlaw Music Festival Tour with the Like a Rolling Stone singer in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday but pulled out of the show, along with other dates in Charlotte and Raleigh.

Audiences were still able to enjoy Nelson's songs at the gigs as his son Lukas Nelson treated them to a "special set".

"We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well and, per doctor's orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days," a statement shared online read.

"He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week.

"In the meantime, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band, along with a few guests, will perform a special set to include Willie's classics and other songs."

The Blue Skies singer recently admitted he's amazed his career has lasted so long.

Asked how he has maintained such a long career, he said in December: "I don't (know) either - I have the energy to do it and the desire ..."

But Nelson admitted he often thinks about retiring.

"I haven't quit - I'm 90, maybe I should," he said.

"I quit every night, after every tour.

"I say this is it and then I get the urge again to go back."

The On the Road Again singer still practices martial arts every day, which gives him "confidence".

"I don't have to worry about anything," he said.

Nelson has long been an advocate for marijuana use but revealed earlier this year he has quit drinking and smoking to extend his life.

He noted to People magazine of his abstinence: "That's added a few days to my life, I'm sure."

Nelson admitted his hearing was "not the best" anymore but he still felt young at heart.

"I still have a good time," he said.

Willie Nelson Extends the 2023 Outlaw Music Festival Tour into the Fall

Willie Nelson ’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour rides again in 2023. And this time, it’s a dual celebration: not only of music that colors outside the lines, but of its headliner’s 90th birthday . Nelson turns 90 on April 29.

Kicking off June 23, in Somerset, Wisconsin, the Outlaw Tour runs into October, each with Nelson in the top slot and a rotating cast of artists in support. The first show features Robert Plant & Alison Krauss , Trampled by Turtles, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, and Particle Kid, the band fronted by Nelson’s son Micah. Other artists on various shows include the Avett Brothers , John Fogerty, Whiskey Myers, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Kurt Vile, Kathleen Edwards, and Margo Price .

Bob Weir and Wolf Bros. join the tour for select dates in September, along with Los Lobos, Elizabeth Cook, String Cheese Incident, and Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs. The tour is currently slated to wrap up Oct. 15 in Pelham, Alabama.

Tickets for the tour , produced by Blackbird Presents and Live Nation, go on sale Friday, March 17, at 10 a.m. local time via the tour’s website .

Willie Nelson, 91, shares health update after being forced to cancel concerts due to illness

Willie Nelson announced on Friday that due to an illness , he would be unable to join the Outlaw Music Festival Tour for his scheduled slate of performances over the first week, hours before his first show.

The 91-year-old country musician's statement, courtesy of his team, shared that per doctor's orders, he was unable to perform. In the meantime, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band will incorporate more of his songs into their set list.

While the other musicians listed, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and Celisse all still took to the stage for the tour, which began on June 21 in Alpharetta, Georgia, Willie's family band performed in his stead.

However, a representative for the singer shared a new update on his health with Today.com , emphasizing that he was not only doing well, but would return to the stage sooner rather than later.

"Willie will be fine. I live in Los Angeles and will fly next week to see the performances on the east coast. I can't wait," the statement from his rep read.

The tour performed twice more over the weekend, on June 22 and 23, before taking a short break and resuming on June 26 in Virginia Beach, which is when Willie is expected to make his return.

Willie Nelson & Family and Bob Dylan will remain on the tour's roster for its remainder, continuing until September 20, and they will be joined by a rotating set of musicians which also includes Brittney Spencer, John Mellencamp, Billy Strings, and Southern Avenue.

Willie will also host his iconic annual 4th of July Picnic this year in Philadelphia, and will be joined by the same stable of performers, and also call on Maren Morris and Mavis Staples for the roster.

In a statement shared on the tour's website, the "On the Road Again" hitmaker gushed: "I am thrilled to bring the 4th of July Picnic to Philadelphia for the first time in our storied history. It's an honor to host such an extraordinary lineup of talent in the birthplace of our country. We can't wait to celebrate Independence Day with you."

Doctors have cleared Willie Nelson to head back on the road after he dropped off the beginning of his  “Outlaw Music Festival Tour” with Bob Dylan due to health concerns.

After missing this weekend’s shows, the 91-year-old artist will join the tour on Tuesday, July 2nd at Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. In the meantime, Willie’s son Lukas Nelson and the Family Band (along with special guests) will continue filling in.

“Willie Nelson has been cleared by his doctors to go back on the road again,” a social media statement reads. “He will resume performing on the Outlaw Tour next week.”

It continues, “Willie will not be on this weekend’s dates. Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, [and] Celisse will perform as scheduled for all shows this weekend. In addition, Lukas Nelson and Family along with some special guests will play his own set which will include Willie’s classics and other songs.”

Reuters and other publications have reported on an order from the country’s Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes stating that the Elon Musk-owned social network could “immediately return to its activities in national territory” if it pays a fine of 10 million reais (around $1.9 million).
