Is this fun/safe for a 2 1/2 year old? Our 9 year old would LOVE it but not sure if little brother should tag along. Thank you

If you are thinking about it just do it. We stopped in and did the airboat tour on the way down to the keys and it was definitely worth it. Our captain Chad had us cracking up on the way to the mangroves and then we were flying through them! We even saw a gator. Great times and a good way to cool off on a hot day.

Mangroves tour.

Our boat pilot said 3 things in 45min. 1. Look at that gator, for every inch between his nose and his eyes represents 1 foot in length. 2. Gator straight ahead on embankment. 3. I'll slow down in these shallows for you to look for a specific fish. That's 45 minutes of dialogue!! In my opinion, most guest don't know a thing about the Everglades. A good guide should have been a non stop encyclopedia of information. Very underwhelming......

A lot of fun! tour guide for the boat ride was knowledgeable and fun and engaging. He was a heck of a driver and kept us entertained. The "hug an alligator" was awesome and the alligator show was good as well. All around good trip and would suggest going

Very rude to customers. I walked out & decided to go to jungle Erv's across the way instead. Plenty of airboat places to pick from. Jingle Erv's was great!!

How so much fun on our airboat ride with Capt. Caleb. He made the ride very exciting and even told us some fun facts about the Everglades.

Inexpensive, fun and educational experience. Captian Ivan was polite, professional and willing to answer any questions. Take the kids and have fun!

I've done this tour twice. The first time was better as our driver did fun swirls in the Everglades on the boat. He went fast and slow for us to see the alligators. The second time we went our driver took us back 10 minutes early and when you spend $48 per ticket for one hour you should get a full hour. The driver didn't seem to really want to be there so the experience just wasn't the same as it was the first time. I'm disappointed.

Fun! Our tour was an hour long and it was a fun first time experience. Unfortunately there wasn't too much wildlife because of the season, but we did get to see a baby alligator, two raccoons (cute and friendly), and a larger alligator. Tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. We learned a lot! Definitely go on a warm day because the wind will whip you and some water spray will get ya! We also got a voucher to go check out an alligator sanctuary down the road. That was also very cool.

My aunt and I went on our first airboat ride and it was fun. We picked the one that took us through the mangroves of the Everglades. It was beautiful! Our captain was great and told us all about the area and even some stories about his life growing up in Everglades City. We saw some wildlife. The views were just breathtaking...we came around the corner to this one area of the mangroves and the water was sparking, there was this mist and the way the sun was shining it just looked so magical. It really amazed me how these captains know their way around because I feel like you could get easily lost out there if you didn't know what you were doing. I was sad when I realized we were heading back as I wish the tour could have went longer but you can pick longer tours and they have a bunch of options of tours. I could have stayed out there cruising around all day. New career goal...become and airboat captain!

Best airboat tour around. I have done these on both coasts in FL. The ones we have done near Ft. Lauderdale are not nearly as much fun. These are smaller boats, only about 6 people or so. They go much faster, and go through fun caves and canopies of trees. The rides are long, fast, and thrilling. We eventually stopped and the guide showed us a gator. He fed it and touched it and taught us about them. It was great for the kids to learn and be so close to the animals. We got to ride around even more and play around in the canals. If you like fast, fun airboat rides, seeing gators, and cruising around in a more intimate setting without so many people, check out this tour. We will be back for sure. It is worth the drive across the alley to make a special day for the family.
