STFC: Concentrated Latinum

In STFC, players can mine Concentrated Latinum using the D’Vor Feesha ship, however, you have to be at least on level 35.

Gamers can put their strategic abilities to the test in this thrilling mobile game, Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC).

Since the game is based on the well-renowned series, Star Trek , players are likely to encounter similar storylines, characters, and locations in the game as seen in the rest of the series.

Table of Contents

You will initially only get access to a ship and a space station, but as you progress in the game, you can unlock additional ships.

Your ships are the primary means of transport, but they can also be used to defeat enemies and for mining resources and currencies. One of the currencies you can acquire is Latinum, which comes in a raw and concentrated form.

Raw Latinum

Even though Latinum is one of the general in-game currencies, players can mine it throughout the Neutral Zone and the Faction Zones.

To procure Raw Latinum, it is recommended that you use the Ferengi D’Vor ship, as it was built to mine the currency.

Once you have Raw Latinum, you can refine it to convert it to Latinum at a guaranteed rate. Keep in mind that you can only access the refinery once you have reached level 16 in the game.

After refining the Latinum, you can use it to purchase ship parts, experience points, speed ups, repair speed ups, and resources, among other things.

Star Trek Fleet Command: Concentrated Latinum

The game’s developer, Digit Game Studio introduces new features, ships, content, and resources to the game occasionally. The new content allegedly keeps players interested and engaged in the game.

Patch 39 introduced numerous new features, including a ship called The D’Vor Feesha, new quests, officers, a drydock , and a new Station Assault research node.

The D’Vor Feesha is an upgraded Ferengi vessel, but only players who are higher than level 35 can use it.

It is equipped with the latest DX mining laser, which makes it the perfect ship to mine the new Concentrated Latinum Resource Nodes.

This resource can be refined to obtain Latinum, which you can use to upgrade the D’Vor Feesha to maximise its abilities.

That being said, players can use other ships to farm the Concentrated Latinum without the D’Vor Feesha. However, if you use another ship, you might get smaller quantities of the resource as it is not made to mine the currency.

It is advisable that you mainly use the D’Vor Feesha to mine the resource, as it maximises the number of resources you get.

Furthermore, it is alleged that most servers’ rules of engagement (RoE) allows its players to attack any ship, besides the D’Vor Feesha, that is mining Concentrated Latinum.

If you choose to use another ship to mine the currency, your chances of being attacked by other players are higher.

If you are under level 35, and you mine Concentrated Latinum, you will not be able to refine it. This is because the Concentrated Latinum Refinery only unlocks at level 35.

Star Trek Fleet Command: Concentrated Latinum

D’Vor Feesha

Players can procure the D’Vor Feesha by scrapping their D’Vor and by earning D’Vor Advanced Data Core. It is noteworthy that the amount may vary as it depends on the ship’s tier.

This means that a fully levelled D’Vor provides enough D’Vor Advanced Data Cores for a complete set of D’Vor Feesha blueprints.

You can consult the following table to know how many Data Cores you get for scrapping your D’Vor:

Once you have the Advanced Data Cores, you can convert them to blueprints in the Latinum Refinery.

Where to mine Concentrated Latinum

It is crucial to note that Concentrated Latinum can only be mined on systems that have a level of 36 or higher. Players can use the special mining icon, situated next to the bookmark button, to view which systems have Concentrated Latinum.

The systems that generally contain Concentrated Latinum Resource Nodes are Sirius and Wolf, both of which can be found in the space realm.

Things to consider when mining Concentrated Latinum

Mining is one of the most important things in STFC . You need it to complete missions, events, and daily tasks . There are a few things you have to consider before you mine Concentrated Latinum.

Firstly, you have to use the right ship, namely, the D’Vor Feesha, but you also have to select the right Captain and crew. Some Officers and crew members can increase the quantity of Concentrated Latinum that you mine.

Lastly, make sure that your cargo is not unprotected, as other players can attack your ship and steal your resources if it is.

3 thoughts on “STFC: Concentrated Latinum”

you can only see what mining node are in a system if you have discovered it

You say “Where to mine Concentrated Latinum” but then you don’t list any systems that have concentrated latinum. Weak

Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) Mining Locations

Mining is an essential activity in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) to produce raw materials you can refine and use to upgrade your starbase and ships.

ECS Fortunate - Star Trek Fleet Command

Boost mining productivity by assigning the correct officers to your ship and gain bonus mining speed and defence against other players.

Here are some of the best systems in Star Trek Fleet Command for Mining that all-important resource.

Latinum Mining Locations

Raw Latinum nodes have been added to 25 systems in the galaxy. The base rate on these nodes improves dramatically in higher-level systems. Additionally, they have a 1 in 8 chance of spawning "rich" raw latinum, which mines at double the base rate! Suliban is a special system that only has rich nodes of various qualities.

Raw latinum can be refined from level 16 in the refinery on a 22hr cooldown. The refining process converts raw latinum into latinum at a guaranteed rate. The conversion process produces ship parts for the Ferengi D'Vor as a byproduct.

Dilithium Mining Locations

Dilithium can be found in level 9 systems and above. Try exploring level 9 or higher systems to find dilithium. If you find a location not on this list, let us know in the comments below.

An easier way to obtain dilithium, which is quicker and less likely to end in your ship being attacked, is to farm hostiles . Certain factions drop up to 100 dilithium crystals with bonus amounts in PVE chests. Check the link to find which systems are best for farming dilithium.

Systems with 2-Star Raw Gas

Raw Gas can be found in 3 Grades 2, 3 and 4 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 and 4 Star.

Also, it can be sourced throughout the Neutral Zone and the Faction Zones, with the latter also providing it in large planet-sized quantities with nothing to differentiate it; therefore, merely clicking on a planet will reveal it's a resource within.

Systems with 2-Star Raw Crystal

Raw Crystal can be found in 3 Grades 2, 3 and 4 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 and 4 Stars.

Systems with 2-Star Raw Ore

Raw ore can be found in 2 Grades 2 and 3 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 Star.

Systems with 3-Star Raw Crystal

Systems with 3-star raw gas, systems with 3-star raw ore, related articles these articles may also be of interest to you.

D'vor and D'vor Feesha

Sourcing the d'vor, sourcing the d'vor feesha, d'vor latinum refinery, d'vor prime latinum refinery, d'vor feesha refinery, salvager refit.

These two ships have only one purpose, to mine latinum and mine it fast. One mines regular latinum nodes, the Feesha mines concentrated latinum. The D'vor doesn't really get good until you have have the research from your Galaxy Tree. You'll also have to improve the protected cargo at the same time, which is also beneficial.

There are two ways to get the D'Vor Blueprints. You get 10 D'Vor blueprints in every 30 Day Loyalty Chest. In addition, they can drop as rewards from Epic Armada Packs from Operations level 22-35.

It also comes up for sale from time to time in the store.

There are also only two ways to get the D'Vor Feesha Blueprints. The first is from scrapping the regular D'Vor. This is based not on the tier of the D'Vor, but on the level. So just tiering it up is NOT enough. You must also either spend XP on it or kill hostiles with it to get its level higher.

The other way is to pull out your credit card and pay for it, as it also comes up from time to time in the store.

Raw latinum is refined into parts and latinum to improve the miners and give you more spendable latinum.

Increases the amount of D'vor Feesha Parts gained from refining Concentrated Latinum, and unlocks new refinery options for other types of ship parts.

Latinum Mining Mechanics Revealed; TOS Officer Overview

Hello Star Trekkers! As happens occassionally, TOO much happens in preparation for a show. Conversations run long, the community becomes passionate and polarized, and debate occurs. As the ONLY long form format of content within Star Trek Fleet Command, I feel it's our responsibility to allow community feedback, and allow voices to be heard. Part 1 ran long and was all about burning, and therefore forced us into part 2 for the remainder of the show. This show would normally be uploaded a day later, but due to containing TIME SENSITIVE data for Latinum Mining events scheduled today, we're posting both at the same time. Contained within this episode is a breakdown of the newly redesigned Latinum Mining Monday mechanics, complete with ops brackets, milestones, point values and a breakdown of the ships and their mathematical pros and cons for today's leaderboard. Plus an overview of the new TOS officers in PVP, as well as research into a mining officer NOT working as written. This and more in this part 2 of Talking Trek's Sunday night podcast. Enjoy the super sized portion of your favorite STFC podcast!

Free Latinum in Star Trek Fleet Command: 5 Must-Know Cheats

Hey there, fellow space explorers! 🚀 If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably spent countless hours navigating the vast universe of Star Trek Fleet Command, forging alliances, and battling foes. But let’s face it, the journey can get a tad bit challenging without enough Latinum in our pockets. We’ve all been there, staring at our screens, wishing for just a bit more of that shiny currency to give us the edge.

Well, wish no more! We’ve embarked on a quest, delved into the deepest corners of the galaxy, and guess what? We’ve discovered some out-of-this-world methods to fill our coffers with Latinum. And the best part? We’re spilling all the beans right here, right now. So, strap in and get ready for warp speed, because free Latinum awaits!

Table of Contents

1. Online Generators: Unlimited Latinum Hack for Android and iOS

Have you ever stumbled upon something so good that you couldn’t believe your eyes? That’s exactly how we felt when we discovered online generators for Latinum. These cheats are like the unsung heroes of the Star Trek Fleet Command world, and we’re here to sing their praises.

First off, let’s address the elephant in the room. Are they safe? From our experience, absolutely! We’ve been using a particular generator for weeks now, and not once have we faced any issues. Our devices are safe, our accounts are untouched, and our Latinum reserves? Overflowing!

Now, you might be wondering, “How do these generators work?” Without diving too deep into the techy stuff, these tools interact with the game servers, making it seem like you’ve earned or purchased the Latinum. It’s like having a secret ally on the inside, helping you out.

The best part? It’s super easy to use. Just enter your game username, select the amount of Latinum you want, and let the magic happen. In a matter of minutes, you’ll see your Latinum count skyrocket.

For those eager to get started, here’s the link to the generator we’ve been using. Dive in and watch your Latinum worries vanish into thin air.

2. The Power of Daily Play: Consistency is Key!

In the vast universe of Star Trek Fleet Command, consistency isn’t just a virtue; it’s a strategy. While it might seem like a no-brainer, playing daily is one of the most straightforward ways to ensure a steady influx of Latinum. But let’s dive deeper into why this simple act can be so rewarding.

Every time you log in, the game recognizes your commitment. Think of it as a digital pat on the back, a nod of appreciation from the game developers. And this isn’t just about feeling good; it translates into tangible rewards. Each day you log in, you’re greeted with bonuses, and over time, these bonuses can accumulate into a significant stash of Latinum.

But there’s more to it than just the Latinum. By playing daily, you’re also keeping your skills sharp, staying updated with any new game features or events, and maintaining a competitive edge over occasional players. It’s like going to the gym; the more you show up, the better the results.

And let’s not forget about those special streak rewards! Consistently logging in for several days in a row can unlock even bigger and better bonuses. It’s the game’s way of saying, “Hey, we see you, and we appreciate your dedication.”

So, the next time you think about skipping a day, remember: a few minutes today can lead to a Latinum-filled tomorrow. Stay consistent, reap the rewards, and watch your Star Trek Fleet Command journey flourish!

3. The Alliance Advantage: Strength in Numbers!

In the intricate tapestry of Star Trek Fleet Command, alliances aren’t just about camaraderie; they’re a strategic powerhouse. Joining an active alliance is akin to aligning with a formidable fleet, ready to navigate the challenges of the universe together. Let’s delve into the myriad benefits of being part of such a collective.

First and foremost, an active alliance means active members. These are players who, like you, are committed to the game, bringing a wealth of experience, strategies, and insights. By collaborating with them, you can tap into this reservoir of knowledge, learning tricks and tactics that might have otherwise eluded you.

But it’s not just about shared wisdom. Active alliances often participate in special missions and challenges exclusive to group play. These missions are not only a fantastic way to bond with fellow members but also a lucrative source of Latinum. Completing them often yields rewards far greater than solo endeavors.

Moreover, in the unpredictable realm of Star Trek Fleet Command, having allies can be a game-changer. Whether it’s defending against adversaries, pooling resources for collective goals, or strategizing for battles, an alliance ensures you’re never truly alone in your endeavors.

Lastly, let’s talk about the social aspect. Beyond the pixels and gameplay, being part of an alliance introduces you to players from around the globe. These connections can transform the game from a solitary experience to a communal one, filled with shared victories, collective brainstorming, and the occasional friendly banter.

In essence, an active alliance is more than just a group; it’s a support system, a think tank, and a treasure trove of opportunities. So, if you’re looking to elevate your game and boost your Latinum reserves, seek out a vibrant alliance and embrace the power of collective play!

4. Event Participation: The Goldmine of Opportunities!

Star Trek Fleet Command is not just a static universe; it’s a dynamic, ever-evolving cosmos brimming with events that can turn the tide of your Latinum fortunes. Engaging in these events isn’t just a mere pastime; it’s a strategic move, a calculated endeavor that can yield dividends beyond your wildest dreams. Let’s dissect the manifold advantages of immersing oneself in these events.

To begin with, events in Star Trek Fleet Command are meticulously crafted challenges, tailored to test your skills, strategies, and adaptability. Each event is a unique puzzle, waiting to be unraveled. And the beauty of it? The rewards! Participating and excelling in these events can shower you with Latinum, often in quantities that regular gameplay might take ages to accumulate.

But the allure of events isn’t confined to Latinum alone. They often serve as gateways to exclusive content, be it rare ships, elite crew members, or cutting-edge tech. Engaging in events can provide you with tools and assets that can significantly bolster your gameplay, giving you an edge over those who choose to remain on the sidelines.

Furthermore, events are a testament to your prowess. Excelling in them not only boosts your Latinum reserves but also cements your reputation as a formidable player. It’s a chance to showcase your skills, outwit competitors, and etch your name in the annals of Star Trek Fleet Command history.

Lastly, events infuse the game with a sense of novelty. They break the monotony, introducing fresh challenges, narratives, and scenarios. This constant influx of new content ensures that the game remains engaging, pushing you to adapt, evolve, and grow.

In summation, events are the lifeblood of Star Trek Fleet Command. They’re not just opportunities; they’re goldmines, waiting to be tapped. So, the next time an event rolls around, don’t just watch from the shadows. Dive in, engage, and watch as the Latinum flows into your coffers!

5. The Art of Trading: Navigating the Economic Nebula!

In the vast expanse of Star Trek Fleet Command, trading isn’t merely a transaction; it’s an intricate dance, a delicate balance of supply, demand, and strategy. Mastering the art of trading can be your ticket to amassing a fortune in Latinum. Let’s embark on a journey to understand the nuances of this pivotal aspect of the game.

At its core, trading is about recognizing value. Every item, resource, or asset in the game has a value, but this value isn’t static. It fluctuates, influenced by the game’s internal economy, player actions, and external events. The key to successful trading is to buy when the value is low and sell when it’s high. Simple in theory, but it requires a keen eye, patience, and impeccable timing.

But how does one determine value? Research and observation. Keep a close watch on the game’s market trends. Notice which items are in demand, which resources are scarce, and which assets players are clamoring for. This knowledge will allow you to anticipate market movements, positioning you to make profitable trades.

Networking plays a pivotal role in trading. Engage with other players, join trading forums, and participate in alliance discussions. These interactions can provide insider information, tips, and leads that can be invaluable in your trading endeavors.

Diversification is another cornerstone of smart trading. Don’t put all your Latinum in one basket. Spread your investments across various items and resources. This approach not only minimizes risk but also ensures a steady flow of Latinum, irrespective of market fluctuations.

Lastly, always be on the lookout for trading opportunities. Events, updates, and game expansions often introduce new items and resources. These can be goldmines, especially in the initial stages when demand outstrips supply. Capitalize on these opportunities, and you’ll find your Latinum reserves swelling.

In essence, trading in Star Trek Fleet Command is a game of wits, observation, and strategy. It’s not about luck; it’s about leveraging knowledge to maximize profits. So, arm yourself with information, stay alert, and may your trades always be profitable!

In Conclusion: Charting Your Course to Latinum Prosperity!

Navigating the universe of Star Trek Fleet Command is an exhilarating journey, filled with challenges, adventures, and opportunities. Latinum, as we’ve discovered, is the fuel that powers this journey, enabling us to explore new frontiers, forge powerful alliances, and leave an indelible mark on the cosmos. But amassing Latinum isn’t about shortcuts or hacks; it’s about strategy, commitment, and smart gameplay.

How Do You Get a Transwarp Cell in Star Trek: Fleet Command

Image of Alina Novichenko

Star Trek: Fleet Command is an interesting free-to-play strategy game that is based on the popular sci-fi setting called Star Trek. There are lots of different systems with planets that you can visit and if you want to travel to the new Borg space you will need to use an item called the Transwarp Cell. It seems that some players don’t understand how to get it. So, this guide will tell you how to obtain Transwarp Cells in Star Trek: Fleet Commander.

How to Obtain Transwarp Cells in Star Trek: Fleet Command

Transwarp Cells in Star Trek: Fleet Command are special items that you can use to travel to the new Borg space. So, it appears that these cells are crucial if you want to go to a new territory for exploration. However, the new Borg space can be a challenging location for a new player and the game tries to protect these users from fighting against unbeatable enemies.

In order to go to the new Borg space faster, many players try to get their first Transwarp Cell as soon as possible. However, the game won’t let you do it if you don’t have the Vi’dar ship. So, if you want to obtain Transwarp Cell you will need to build this ship. After that, you will get an opportunity to get these cells.

Transwarp Cells are easy to get. You just need to open the Gifts menu and obtain a cell from a chest that is available every 22 hours. You can hold up to 8 Transwarp Cells in your inventory and the game won’t allow you to claim more chests with them if you reach this limit.

how to get latinum in star trek fleet command

Star Trek: Discovery - What Is Control?

Star Trek : Discovery featured several interesting antagonists. Jason Isaacs' Gabriel Lorca is a subtle, fascinating trickster from the Mirror Universe. Osyraa and the Emerald Chain are almost hilariously sinister in their business dealings. Species 10-C raises compelling questions about what villainy means in the context of advanced beings. One of the most straightforward antagonists in the series is Control, the threat assessment program in Section 31. It's a classic premise, but Control's unique execution brings something worth talking about to Star Trek: Discovery .

The Star Trek franchise has dealt with sinister artificial intelligence several times, but one example outweighs all the others. Captain Kirk and his crew, for example, once ran across Landru, a computer system dominating the planet Beta III. Lore is a cruel and dangerous answer to Data, but they're both incredibly advanced AI systems. Spock once mind-melded with a machine called Nomad, which sought to wipe out all life in the universe after combining with a sterilization droid. The Borg is the dominant AI species in the franchise, but they're far from the only one.

Star Trek: Who Are the Kellerun?

What drives an entire species to mass murder for peace? The Kellerun's war-torn past in Star Trek raises deep questions and intrigues viewers.

What is Control in Star Trek: Discovery ?

Control is the threat assessment system that operates under Discovery 's Section 31. Section 31 is a branch of Starfleet Intelligence concerned with the protection of the Earth and the Federation. The group is under deep cover, keeping it completely hidden from the overwhelming majority of the populace. Section 31 operates out of an abandoned penal colony, which also houses the massive computer bank that runs the Control AI. Control is an advanced system that seems to handle almost every aspect of Section 31's operations. Control identifies threats, ranks them, and suggests solutions with the goals of saving the most lives and preventing the most destruction. As is often the case in science fiction, this gradually leads the machine to see all living things as a potential threat and work to undermine its own supposed goal.

Section 31 relied heavily on Control after the Battle of the Binary Stars. This conflict represented the first major exchange of arms between the Federation and the Klingon Empire . The Klingons won the Battle of the Binary Stars. The Federation suffered thousands of casualties and lost at least eight starships. Section 31 was reasonably terrified of an event like this one happening again. Their solution was to hand more autonomy to Control, hoping that the AI could see a war coming and change course to avoid it in advance. Every Starfleet admiral delivered reports and data to Control, then took the machine's recommendations. The officers then had final approval over any decision. Control decided that the best way to prevent future conflicts would be to eliminate any checks on its power. Control explained its plan to Leland like this:

There are seven thousand active ships in Starfleet, all reliant on the chain of command. That chain is unquestioned, unbroken, unseen, every instruction passed down through channels. In time, even those who would not follow my agenda knowingly will.

What did Control accomplish?

In 2257, the Discovery crew started experiencing temporal anomalies called red bursts. They appeared too routine to be coincidental, forcing Starfleet to discuss its implications. Around the same time, Control deactivated life support systems aboard the Section 31 headquarters and killed every passenger. This remained a secret for about two weeks while Control puppeteered the corpses of several Section 31 officials. It used holograms to impersonate Vulcan Fleet Admiral Patar , whom it would use as a mouthpiece to advocate for handing Control more power. The red bursts pushed Starfleet to listen. When the Discovery boarding party reaches Section 31, they find that Control infected an officer to force her to share information about the advanced AI information housed in the spheres. The Discovery crew destroyed Section 31, but that didn't end the fight.

What happened to Control?

Control survived the destruction of Section 31 by possessing an operative named Leland . With its new body, Control attempted to kill Philippa Georgiou and steal the sphere's data. The Discovery figured out Control's scheme and destroyed another facility, but the AI escaped again. Control killed and possessed Kamran Gant, attempting to sneak aboard Michael Burnham's ship and possess her. Spock deactivated the nanobots that could have captured Burnham, but Control carried on. With Section 31's fleet at its command, Control attempted to wipe out the Discovery and the Enterprise and get its hands on that sphere's data. Klingon and Kelpien forces supported the Discovery, while Georgiou saved the day by throwing Control into a magnetized test chamber. To ensure Control could never return, the Discovery traveled into the future, taking the sphere data with it. This timeline exists because Gabrielle Burnham, Michael Burnham's mom, sent the red bursts back as a message to prevent Control from evolving.

Control is a classic evil AI . Humans build it with noble goals in mind, but it decides that the only way to keep people safe is by killing all of them itself. Though the idea has been done before, Control's ability to turn people into puppets and command massive fleets of starships makes it a tremendous threat. Control is dead and gone, and the galaxy is better off that way.

An erigah had the Breen chasing Moll and L'ak across the galaxy in Star Trek: Discovery. But what exactly is it and why was it so important?

Prodigy’s Shocking Ending Connects (Nearly) All of Modern Star Trek Canon

Let’s dig into the memory banks.

The Loom attacks in 'Star Trek: Prodigy.'

The biggest Star Trek binge in franchise history has arrived. Netflix dropped all 20 episodes of Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2 on July 1 , which led to a shocking and surprisingly open-ended finale. In addition to a time travel plot and a guest character who connects Prodigy to several other eras of Star Trek, the last episode, “Ouroboros Part II,” also syncs up with several major plot points from Star Trek: Picard . In fact, Prodigy’s finale helps make various aspects of Picard more explicable in the tapestry of modern Trek.

Here’s what the final moments of Prodigy mean for the Star Trek timeline, and how the show is set up for a hypothetical Season 3. Spoilers ahead.

Prodigy Season 2’s ending sets up Picard Season 1

The new crew of the USS Prodigy in the finale of 'Star Trek: Prodigy' Season 2

The new crew of yet another new starship.

After defeating the Loom and Asencia, Gwyn, Rok, Dal, Jankom, Zero, Ma’jel, and Murf all find themselves back at Starfleet Academy. Finally, it looks like Star Trek’s Boxcar Children will get their happy ending, but no. It’s First Contact Day 2385, and as everyone in Starfleet celebrates, longtime fans know what’s coming. In Picard Season 1, April 5, 2385, is when Synths go rogue and attack the Utopia Planitia Shipyards on Mars. We saw this from a few different points of view in Picard , but the focus was on how it impacted Jean-Luc Picard. Here we see it from the perspective of the Protostar crew, various young people at Starfleet Academy, and the inner circle of Starfleet Command itself.

This leads to a few interesting and revealing references. Because of the Synth Attack, Admiral Jellico (Ronny Cox) makes it clear that “Starfleet Command has been asked to scale back and cease all exploration and focus on protecting our own planetary citizens.” This means the Romulan Evacuation has been canceled. As established in Picard , Jean-Luc was spearheading the Evacuation and resigned from Starfleet when it shut down. Now we know that the person who told Picard to quit was Jellico. In the Prodigy finale, Jellico says, “I have already informed Admiral Picard. He didn’t take it well, to say the least.”

This revelation is ironic. In The Next Generation's two-parter, “Chain of Command,” it was Jellico who took command of the Enterprise-D while Picard was on a secret mission. While Jellico isn’t technically a bad officer, the fact that he accepted Picard’s resignation in 2385 only adds to how furious Jean-Luc must have been.

Starfleet uniforms, combadges, and more

Raffi (Michelle Hurd) and Picard (Patrick Stewart) in 'Picard' Season 1.

The uniform style seen in Picard Season 1 has been retroactively explained in the Prodigy Season 2 finale.

The impending Romulan Supernova doesn't originate with Picard Season 1 but the first J.J. Abrams reboot movie, where Spock was trying to help the Romulans avert the catastrophe and ultimately traveled back into an alternate timeline. In Prodigy, as Janeway, Jellico, and other Starfleet admirals discuss the future, there’s a mix of different uniform styles on display. Janeway is wearing the 2385-style uniform that Picard and Raffi wore in Picard Season 1’s flashbacks, while other characters wear a style closer to what we’ve seen throughout Prodigy . Jellico even lampshades the conflicting styles in this era, saying, “We don’t even have enough combadges to upgrade half the fleet.” These are small details, but this scene does a lot of work to tie Prodigy, Picard, and the Abrams films together.

The Crusher brothers meet

Jack Crusher and Jean-Luc Picard in 'Picard' Season 3.

Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers) and his father, Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), in Picard Season 3.

Before everything goes sideways on Mars, we see Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton) visit his mom, Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), on Earth, where Beverly introduces Wesley to his then-new brother, Jack Crusher. There, in 2385, Jack is a toddler, but by 2401, he’ll be in his twenties and become an essential part of Picard Season 3.

“We wanted Wesley to meet Jack,” co-showrunner Kevin Hageman told Inverse before Prodigy Season 2’s launch. “At the time, the [ Picard producers] were curious what we were doing with Wesley.”

Will there be a Star Trek: Prodigy Season 3?

The USS Protostar (and also the USS Prodigy) in 'Star Trek: Prodigy.'

The USS Prodigy has arrived.

The final moments of Prodigy Season 2 reveal that the crew of the destroyed Protostar is being given another ship of the same class dubbed the USS Prodigy . This is notable because while the series is called Prodigy , the Season 2 finale is the first time the word references a starship.

Janeway gives everyone “field commissions,” making them all defacto Starfleet officers, and sends the crew on a mission of exploration despite Starfleet’s concerns. She explains: “As the Federation’s borders are receding, it's of the utmost importance that you are a beacon of light to those beyond our reach.”

There’s also an unexpected switch in commanding officer. Since Season 1, Dal (Brett Gray) has acted as captain, but he willingly hands command over to Gwyn (Ella Purnell). So as Prodigy Season 2 ends, it’s Gwyn who bodly leads the crew to where no one has gone before.

There are currently no concrete plans for Prodigy Season 3. In conversation with Inverse , the Hageman brothers emphasized that there’s “a lot of dreaming,” though it seems possible the Prodigy’s adventures could continue in another iteration of Trek beyond this series. But as of right now, the crew has been given a massive reset button and the chance to adventure across the Final Frontier.

Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2 is streaming on Netflix.
