  • Zante Cruise

Zante is the 3 rd largest of the Ionian islands. It is an island with a rich cultural heritage. It is the island of Kalvos and Solomos, the island of Kadathes and Operettas. Also, it is one of the last reproductive grounds of the Caretta-Caretta sea turtle.

Our cruise starts from Skala at 9 am. In about 40 minutes we reach cape Skinari with the homonymous light house, visible from Kefalonia at night. This is the closest point with Kefalonia (katelios 8 nM distance). From cape Skinari until the famous shipwreck the coastline is rocky, steep, and truly impressive.

Important Notice – Read Carefully!

Ship Wreck At about 9:30 am we reach the famous shipwreck. It is known worldwide and is almost synonymous with Zante. An impressive landscape, with crystal blue waters caressing this beautiful beach that embraces the semi covered remains of a ship and behind it a breathtaking escarpment, complete this magic scene. This beautiful beach maybe would have remained anonymous and unknown since there is no road to it, if during 1983, an abandoned smuggling merchant ship had not washed ashore. The ship was full of illegal cigarettes and traveling from Bulgaria to Italy and was abandoned by its crew, which got away on a small speedboat that was aboard, to avoid being arrested by the authorities. The unmanned smuggling ship was drifted and washed out on this beach. Year after year the tide would bury it in the sand and the beach became known, advertised, and today is globally known and is the biggest sight on the island. Thousands of tourists visit it daily. Weather permitting, we will steer the ship to the sand, you will disembark, and have a chance to get a good look, take photos etc. You will stay on the beach for about 30 minutes. We will set off around 10:30 for the blue caves and we will arrive in about 20 minutes.

The Ruins of St Andreas Monastery About half way there you can see a castled wall. About 1100 years ago St. Andrews monastery was built there and the only thing remaining is this castled wall that protected it from the pirates. Just down the way, a strange cave with stalactites. The depth is about 70m. Large waves, especially during winter occur in this area and very often we can see seals and sea-lions and also near the light house.

Blue Caves These caves were carved by the wild waves within the centuries that whip the irregular coastlines. They get their color from the underwater seabed. The biggest cave has a length of 35m. Thousands of tourists visit it daily with small or large ships; yachts all drop by to admire this scenery. Leaving the blue caves, in 15min we will stop for swimming as Platys Gialos Bay, for about 30 minutes. Crystal blue waters invite you to dive in and enjoy!

Alykes Our next stop is Alykes. A small picturesque village with a sandy beach, water sports and restaurants for whoever wants to eat. We will stay here for about 2 hours. Please be on time on the boat for the departure.

We will be back in Skala around 15:30

  • Tpetch7 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Island tour Island tour 10/10. Kefalonia island tour was absolutely fantastic. The lady in the main office in lassi was amazing she was so friendly and this made us book with them instead of anyone else. The pick up from the hotel was very convenient and was greeted by the lovely tour guide (forgot her name) but she had blonde hair. Her knowledge of the island was very impressive and was very interesting. She made us feel all relaxed on the coach and made us feel like kefalonia was our second home. The driver Mr Dimitri was also a massive part of the day, he was a great driver on the challenging roads of kefalonia also his manner towards the guests was lovely. The trip consisted of the following: Monastery of Agios Gerasimos Wine tasting (beautiful location) Fiscardo (a must see) Melisaani cave (breathtaking views) And finally Myrtos beach one of the best in Greece and even Europe! Thank you so much to Kefalonia island tour you were all amazing. Read more Written 17 May 2024

  • AngB1403 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles A perfect way to see the island. This was a fantastic tour and a great way to see the highlights of the island beyond our base in Lassi. We booked direct with the lovely Georgia on the main street, saving ourselves €15 on the price quoted by the rep for a similar tour. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, whilst the driver was experienced, safely navigating the narrow, windy roads of the mountain sides. It's an interesting tour with a variety of experiences. We were lucky enough to witness the opening of the tomb of the mummified body of the island's Patron Saint, Both caves were spectacular, well worth the effort of the steps. The wine tasting was well organised and Fiskardo was a lovely place for a late lunch and a stroll. Top it all off with a look down on the stunning white beach of Myatos and the whole day was a thoroughly enjoyable which we can highly recommend. Read more Written 15 May 2024
  • F8129MUlindac 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Not to be missed! Firstly Georgia the agent helped us choose the ideal tour for us - only visiting for a week. She was so helpful and informative, lovely lady. Everything ran smoothly from pick up to drop off. Driver Dimitris was very skilful negotiating tricky roads. Katerina the guide, spoke fabulous English and her knowledge and stories were awe inspiring. The lake at Melissani was well worth €10. It was explained to us prior that that was not included in the cost- obviously! No queuing and got some great photos. Asos was a beautiful stop, lovely village and time to sit on the beach. The views in the coach were spectacular from start to finish, needless to say we loved Kefalonia. Fiskardo was livelier and another great stop. We had gyros at Elli’s cafe and a glass of rebola - perfect lunch. Beautiful buildings here and very impressive yachts. Photo stop at Myrtos beach - famous from Captain Corellis mandolin. A fabulous day at a very good price. Thank you Georgia, Katerina and Dimitris Read more Written 9 May 2024

We booked and paid in full for our excursion for a family of five well in advance. The operator cancelled the excursion and promised a full refund. We have been requesting the refund for the past three months and still no response. Would not recommend this tour group. Read more Written 28 November 2023

  • bodyboardpro 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles A good boat trip, slightly pricey though! A good boat trip, which visits beutiful places. The caves and ship wreck cove are amazing! However I feel that the price for what we got was not the best. I felt that the swim stops were slightly rushed. There wasn’t much places to sit for us other than on a seat with no back rest for the whole 6 hours as the boat was full. Lunch break is 90 minutes and there are restaraunts at the location in which they stop at. The crossing over to Zante was 90 minutes and 60 minutes back. The staff on the boat were all freindly and were able to provide great knowledge. Read more Written 22 October 2023

  • LarsSawyer 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Interesting Trip Excellent tour of parts of the island, including the cave lake in Melissani. Our guide, Duska, kept up an interesting historical narrative throughout the journey which made the long drives between venues seem shorter. Melissani lake was quite beautiful with many of the colours in the cave walls coming out better in the pictures that we took than they looked at first glance. We then stopped in Assos for a coffee break before continuing on to Fiscardo for lunch. Fiscardo is one of the few parts of the island that was not destroyed by the 1953 earthquake and hence has some of the only pre-1953 architecture remaining. After lunch there was a short trip to see Myrtos Beach from way above before returning to Argostoli. Read more Written 15 October 2023

Pricing Information

All prices are per person and in  GBP  ( £ ). The  Euro  ( € ) prices are based on the currency of 1.10£ to € and are  fixed.

Please note that the prices tend to increase from those listed below, as prices fluctuate, depending on the availability and the period.

Our main periods are:

  • Peak period  (July, August)
  • Shoulder period  (June, September)
  • Low period  (May, October)

The below-stated prices are subject to change without any notice. Keep in mind, that as the departure date of the sailing tour comes closer, the prices might increase, so it is wise to book in advance and secure the cheapest price possible! Once you have paid your 20% deposit, the remaining price of your option stays as it is!

In case of any price increase/decrease, you will be informed in time, accordingly.

  • Prices fluctuate regularly, in line with the demand. Our Price Promise ensures clients, who book early, that they will never have to pay more, than those who book quite after them

All our standard cabins besides, their comfortable mattresses, are ensuite with their own shower, a hair dryer, a wardrobe for storage, reading lights, their own individual A/C device and an electric fan!

Regarding our cabins, we do have a variety of doubles/twins (lower beds/bunk beds) and a few triples and quads, depending on your cruise package and demand.

Our premium cabins are available on the majority of our gulets, always subject to availability. By premium cabin we define cabins that have a separate shower box inside the wc and/or larger space available ( usually2/3 s.m.) from our standard ones. Usually they are located on the stern or the bow of the ship, making them slightly more isolated than the rest of the cabins onboard and they have better sound insulation that the rest since they are bigger.

The only additional charge you need to expect is the local port fees (80€ per person), which need to be paid upon arrival, in order to assure some basic operational needs for the cruise.

If you want to have your own private cabin, there will be an extra charge of 75% of the total amount of 1 person’s price.

We always try to allocate same-gender guests, together (this applies to our solo travelers), however, we cannot guarantee this under unexpected situations.

For the first day, as it is the arrival day, we won’t embark from the port, at least not until 17:00, thus in case you have arrived prior to the embarkation and have some time left, we suggest you roam around Zante’s main port and enjoy some local Greek seafood, by one of the many local restaurants, located on the marina!

If you have plenty of time, be sure to check out the Byzantine Museum, as well, which is located in the heart of Zante’s main town, the national Marine Park and the famous Lagana Bay strip!

In the evening, get to know your fellow travelers, while we have our welcome dinner, on board!

Note: In case that all of our guests are on board by 17:00 and weather conditions allow us to, we might cruise towards our 1st destination which is Agios Nikolaos.

Agia Ethimia

On day two, we will be heading to Kefalonia’s Agia Efimia, which is a traditional fishing village centered on a small harbor. It contains a number of taverns, bars and shops, a traditional wood-fired bakery, as well as tourist accommodations and local residences.

In the evening, stroll through this beautiful, picturesque village and take your pick of Greek eats, from the idyllic tavern-lined promenade, where you can watch the sunset while enjoying your traditional Greek food!

⚓️Melissani Cave

With plenty of secluded bays and scattered sea caves with shallow waters, this part of Kefalonia is every explorer’s dream!

Enjoy your lunch on the vessel, while we sail towards bustling Fiskardo, the most iconic village in Kefalonia.

Visit the pebbled Antisamos beach and sandy Harami beach and admire Greek nature, from up close.

Full of bars and tavernas Fiskardo is the epitome of old-school Greek charm.

Lefkada (Nidri)

On day 4, we will head to Lefkada, and Nidri specifically, which is Lefkada’s most famous port. While in Nidri, you will have the chance to explore its famous local markets, which are packed with Greek products/foods, souvenirs, and other “goodies”!

Laying in between Kefalonia, and Meganissi, Lefkada offers a unique combination, of crystal-clear waters and dark green forest scenery!

⚓️Lefkas oil tasting

With white pebble beaches, striking blue seas and its lush green countryside, Meganisi is one of Greece’s best-kept secrets. On the fifth day, we sail to Meganisi!

You can easily explore this town with a rental bike/car, bicycle or even on foot!

Watch the fisherman go about their work, from one of the seafront cafes, before enjoying some of the best seafood at one of the excellent local taverns, that stock the best catch of the day, the Island has to offer!

Day 6 - Ithaca (with Atokos stop)

On day six, we leave Meganisi behind and we will sail to Ithaca, which many people do not know about, as this beautiful Island is often “overshadowed” by its complex main Island, Kefalonia.

On the way to Ithaca, we might stop to Atokos Island, a private inhabited island, where wild pigs live freely on the island.

That said, we will enjoy our lunch onboard, as usual and we will look specifically for coastal relaxation at some of its many secluded bay coves, to anchor there and enjoy the beautiful Greek night sky!

⚓️Odysseus Bus Tour

Before we head back to Zante, we might visit the beautiful Shipwreck Beach and village on the east coast of the island, enjoying an onboard lunch on the way for some final sweeping sea views!

We spend the night in the Marina of Zante Old Town, where we enjoy a Captain’s dinner with the group in our final farewell.

⚓️Zante Greek Night

Departure Day

As we have successfully cruised around Zante and its island complex, this is our departure day..

Our Zante cruise includes a unique Island hopping experience while spending a week at sea, exploring the best destinations, the Ionian sea has to offer!

It is meant for independent, like-minded travelers, best suited for those who want to set sail for an adventure, explore Greek heritage and enjoy historical sightseeing!

Departures are every Saturday at 17:00, from May until the end of October. For more specific dates, please see our cruise calendar.

All our cruises end on Saturdays, at 09:00.

The difference between island hopping with us, and island hopping with any other mainstream-commercial ferry company, is mainly, the overall experience and comfort!

Commercial Island hopping, would mean standing for hours in line, just to boat your ferry, traveling with other thousands of people, sometimes for many hours without truly being comfortable during the trip, absurd time schedules, as most commercial ferries have crazy embarkation/disembarkation schedules (sometimes as early, as 04:00 in the morning). Additionally, during commercial Island hopping, you won’t have any standard accommodation for that period, which means that you will be carrying your luggage everywhere you go, without the possibility of leaving them somewhere stress-free.

On the other hand, traveling with us, on your own private gulet, would mean, overwhelming comfort due to the fact, that you will have the same accommodation for the whole trip’s duration! Of course, plenty of storage to leave your luggage and belongings, without the fear of losing anything, as our crew never leaves the ship. This means that your belongings will be safe, throughout the week you will be traveling with us! And also, besides the cruising hours, there is no other major time restriction, so you will have plenty of time, to do whatever you want!

We do have a variety of cabins, which range from doubles to twins (lower beds-bunk beds) to triples and a few quads, depending on the operating gulet.

All cabins besides, their comfortable mattresses, are ensuite with their own shower, a hair dryer, a wardrobe for storage, reading lights, their own individual A/C device and an electric fan!

If you want to be in the same cabin with your friends, just mention it, while booking with us. We can not guarantee that you will be together, but we will make everything possible to actually do that!

Please keep in mind, that we provide 1 set of fresh linen and towels, for the cruising week.

Many of our guests, choose to travel alone, as it follows the basic idea of our cruises. Independent individuals, come alone but travel with same-like-minded people, so many in the end, actually become friends!

Please know, that if you are traveling solo, we will always try to allocate you to a cabin, with your same gender.

On the other hand, if you desire to have your own private cabin, there will be an extra charge of 50% of the total amount of 1 person’s price

In general, on Greek islands, you can find affordable food and drinks, everywhere! You can choose, between eating traditional Greek comfort food, like a Souvlaki, at a price of 3€, or sitting at a local tavern/restaurant, for a much proper meal, at a price of 8-15€ per person.

Throughout, Greek Islands, drinks cost approximately, 6-12€

Water is offered complimentary by us, only during meal courses, so water is NOT included in your package!

If you want any extra water, we offer 1.5L bottles (Natural mineral Water), at 2€

The A/C, operates from 4 to 8 hours, per day (if of course, it is permitted by the government’s Covid regulations).

Also note, that the A/C works only when the generator is working at the exact same time. Though, due to local regulations, the generator must be turned off, after midnight.

The power supply, from the shore at the ports of Corfu, Kassiopi, Sivota and Gaios (due to their weak infrastructure), is not powerful enough to operate all our A/C units, simultaneously. Thus you must keep in mind, that there are possibly hot nights, especially during July and August, where the A/C, does not work after midnight.

Please keep in mind, that all our cabins are equipped with independent electric fans, as well, hence when our boats are connected to the shore’s power supply, our fans work properly, during the night, as well.

Any means of transportation, such as local buses, taxis, or even water taxis, are not included, in any of our cruise packages. However, we would be more than happy to arrange any possible transportation, for you!

A standard “airport to the vessel (and vice versa)” transfer, is around 25-30€ per person (depending on the Island), while shorter, in-town transportation would vary, between 8€ and 15€ per person.

In case you want to arrange your transportation, prior to your arrival, send us an email, at: [email protected] or [email protected]

Our gulets share quite a number of electrical sockets, both on the inside and the outside, of the vessel.

With this in mind, and as we do provide extension cords and multi-docking stations, you will be able to charge your devices, either while cruising while the generator is active, or while docked at port!

You are able to have a shower, any time of the day, but keep in mind that when the boat is docked at some of the ports we visit, the engines are turned off, the water flow is reduced and as a result, there is no hot water after midnight.

Water tanks on board are limited, meaning, when multiple cabins shower simultaneously, hot water is more likely to end.

If your shower does not have hot water, please inform your captain in order to open the water heater, and please wait for at least, 15 to 20 minutes, until it heats up the water again.

All basic cruise options include a Half Board, which means daily breakfast and lunch. (Buffet style)

For Breakfast, click here, to see our onboard menu items.

For lunch, we do offer a much more detailed plan, which you can see yourself, here: Daily lunch Schedule 2023

Besides breakfast and lunch, we do offer a special complimentary Captain’s dinner, which basically, is a dinner that passengers, enjoy, alongside the crew and the Captain!

All courses, include water, though if you want extra, a 1.5L water bottle, is at 2€

We do respect our passenger’s food preferences and requirements and that is why our Chefs, in case it is needed, will prepare optional dishes, as well.

(vegetarian, lactose-free, pescatarian, vegan, etc.)

As we use to say here, we are like a hostel in the water. So, yes feel free to bring any personal food or drinks you want on board. Our idea is to support your budget and travel cheaper. Please keep in mind that is not allowed to consume food and drinks inside our cabins and also there is no communal fridge that can be used for storage.

Adventure traveling, like Island hopping, requires travel insurance and we strongly suggest, purchasing one! For further details, please review our travel insurance section.

All gulets, including ours, are hybrids, which means that although they do have a motor engine, they can run on wind energy, as well, through its huge sails.

That said, operating a cruise solely on wind energy, is something quite unpredictable, thus, we prefer relying on, and scheduling each week, based on the gulet’s ability to use its motor engines!

All the gulets in our fleet, have only European-type sockets.

Note: It is mandatory to know this beforehand, as the electrical items/devices you want to bring on board, need to agree, with this specification.

We have travelers from all over the world, and we are truly delighted about this!

Most of our passengers are Australian, British, German, Spanish, Croatian, French, Italian, South African, Canadian and American!

So, most of our passengers are mainly English speakers!

In order to get all the necessary updated information about Visa and passport requirements, please check our Visa & Passport section!

In order to support the local community and give back to its (our) people, all our gulets have multinational crew members. Though, English is the number one onboard-speaking language!

All our gulets can carry up to, approximately 20 to 25 passengers, with an average cabin number of 7. (double/twins – triples)

Keep in mind, that all our vessels have fair space onboard, for literally all the passengers they will, eventually, accommodate!

At the time of your booking/inquiry, remember to specify who your fellow travelers are. This way, we will try to make all the necessary arrangements to accommodate you, all together, on the same vessel!

Please keep in mind though, that we can not guarantee this, for close-to-date cruises!

Even if we believe, that it is impossible for someone, to wish to “abort” our sailing cruise earlier than its scheduled disembarkation, You are of course, free to leave, whenever you like!

The only restriction though, is that in order for you to leave earlier, the gulet needs to be docked at a marina/port, and not on some remote cove!

Of course, in case you happen to leave earlier and want us to help you with your transportation, feel free to let us know, by sending an email, at: [email protected] or [email protected]

In the unfortunate event, of losing your departure, you have the option to either “catch” us on the next Island/destination, via commercial ferry, or bus. (if accessible)

In any case, if something like that is to happen, try to inform us prior to the actual departure time, by calling us at our Head Office, at: +30 211 215 2595

As personal privacy, is of paramount importance to us, we cannot provide you with any of your fellow travelers’ details, prior to your actual cruise day.

However, if you are interested to meet other people that travel on the same tour as you, feel free, to head to our Facebook page and introduce yourself to our lovely community!

Our standard and premium cabins always include a private bathroom, a wardrobe, a cozy carpet, a comfortable mattress, reading light and a/c.

Our premium cabins we define cabins that have a separate shower box inside the wc and/or larger space available ( usually 2/3 s.m.) from our standard ones. Usually they are located on the stern or the bow of the ship, making them slightly more isolated than the rest of the cabins onboard and they have better sound insulation that the rest since they are bigger.

  • Sallyloulou20 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles A full day island tour with a wonderful driver and tour guide We really enjoyed the one day full island bus tour to Fiskardo and surrounding areas, taking in both of the caves and the wine tasting too. What really made the tour so special was the tour guide "Katerina" whose enthusiasm and love of the island really shone through. During the day we learned everything there was to know about Kefalonia from the weather, to Greek mythology, honey tasting to which beaches to swim from - simply everything. We particularly enjoyed the lunch stop at Fiskardo, one of the most beautiful places you can visit and the boat ride into the Melissani cave. Please tell Katerina what a wonderful guide she is and the driver was excellent too, some of the roads are pretty narrow and scary. Thank you Kefalonia Excursions, we are glad we travelled with you. There wasn’t much places to sit for us other than on a seat with no back rest for the whole 6 hours as the boat was full.
