Girls Get Away

Our group of 9 had a grand experience with Bob and Chris the driver. They were fun to have on our tour. I have been on a tour before and am looking foward to the next tour.

Amazing experience and great day out while gaining insights into the local area

Highly recommend Desert Wonder Tours to explore the local area. In particular the Winery & Distillery tour is great value for money and very enjoyable. Bob was wonderful to deal with in the lead up to the day and also a sensational tour guide for our trip from Las Vegas to the Kingman area and back. All venues visited on our tour were very welcoming with friendly staff who loved having a chat and sharing their stories.

This is the tour company to book if you want a memorable experience!

I had a great experience with this tour company in which I highly recommend! The guide was very knowledgeable and interacted with all the guests. Not one time did he rush the group on any of our stops along route 66 (he seemed to be on our schedule and not his own) Booking dessert wonder tours is relatively cheap considering everything you get to see and experience. I’ve done a lot of tours throughout the years with different companies and this one sticks out as they were so personable and made everything fun and memorable. One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Thank you guys and I will see you again soon!

Amazing tour

Our tour guide was simply amazing. We believe that he went the extra mile making sure that we saw as much of the desert blossoms as possible. He stopped along the roadway so he could actually get out and look at them close up. He explained some of the high points of the desert As well as the mining town. Oatman.

Visiting from Minnesota

Visiting from Minnesota, we were Looking for fun things to do. We picked a gem. Desert Wonder Tours was one of our highlights of our two month stay in Bullhead City. We went on the Keepers of the Wild tour. Bob, who drove us on the tour was so informative of the sights and history of the area. The animals at Keepers of the Wild were amazing as was the tour guide there. Rated 5 out of 5 for sure. Will probably do the same tour next year, while snowbirding in Arizona.

Kingman/Layman tour

We did the Kingman/Oatman t our last month, it was amazing. We weren't rushed like many tours, we were able to take our time to take everything in. Bob was superb, very friendly and very interesting, and also very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour, we will definitely do it again

I own a large International company…

I own a large International company that goes to Laughlin, Nevada every year. We will only use this company because of their excellent service and communications. This company by far goes above and beyond to help us out when we need it. Top notch company

London Bridge

My husband and I took two tours the weekend of August 19-21st. This is my review on the 2nd tour: London Bridge/English Village tour. It was only my husband and me on this tour and our driver was Ally. This trip was wonderful! The views on our way to Lake Havasu was beautiful! Ally was a wonderful tour guide, giving us local information as she took us to the different locations. London Bridge/English Village was breathtaking. It is a beautiful location. We spent some time walking around and then rode a ferry to a casino in California. We spent a little time gambling. This tour like the first is not rushed, you can take your time walking around and enjoying yourself. I would highly recommend this trip as well! I am ready to book the next one! Great job Desert Wonder Tours!

Great Experience

Great experience and working with Bob was easy. We had a unique lodging situation and Bob went out of his way to help. The tour was great and I felt like we got our money's worth. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful trip across the NV-AZ line with Michael, the best driver and tour guide ever. As repeat visitors to Las Vegas we pack our stay with tours and shows and this year was no exception. This tour was superb and Michael went out of his way to make our experience memorable.

My husband and I just got back from our tour and it was fantastic! Brandon was our driver and our guide. He was fantastic. He showed up on time or even a couple minutes early. He was friendly and such a wealth of knowledge about the area. We definitely recommend this tour. We hope to try another tour in the near future.

It was an interesting drive.. hard to find a parking space, haphazard to say the least, no thoughts to pedestrian safety. There should be one designated parking space and the vehicles carrying tourists should NOT be allowed in the tiny towns only paved street. The “restaurant” a local eating place had walls covered in dollar bills ( apparently over$400,000.00 worth .. some so dried out they were falling off the walls.. no sprinklers in the establishment and the place looked like it would go up like a tinder box if someone dropped a match..hard to believe this place is t a fire risk. The other jazzers is a large area where the floor has a rise in the middle, it was painted yellow on the edges but many people did a little trip when they weren’t expecting it. On the upside we had a great waitress and good food. The entertainment was awesome too!

Decided to schedule a wine tour for my birthday with Desert Wonder Tours from Kingman. Arizona. My husband and I decided on the Route 66, wine and distillery tours. Easy and quick to book online and received confirmation emails after booking as well as a reminder email from Bob. Michael, our tour guide, did a fabulous job with our tour. He provided a little bit of background history on each place we visited as well as some history regarding Kingman! We would definitely recommend this company for their great service and the variety of tours they offer!

They ran our tour even though we were the only 2 people. We did the Kingman Wine & Distillery tour. It was nice to relax & be driven around. Excellent guide. The Distillery is a must if you are in the Kingman area. I would absolutely do another tour with this company.

I spent the day touring Kingman and its surroundings with Desert Wonder Tours.....Bob grew up in Kingman and is knowledgeable about the area..We went to Keepers of the Wild, a very special animal sanctuary, as well as the Grand Canyon Caverns......The day ended with a visit to the Railroad Museum in Kingman proper. A very pleasant and informative time of history and natural wonders.

Your Oatman, AZ adventure begins the moment you board our comfortable passenger transport van. The creator and owner is locally cultivated; He grew up exploring the wonders of Northwest Arizona from its history, and desert terrain to wildlife. His ancestral roots date back to the 1800s and his family’s vintage collections have been featured in Mohave Museum of History & Arts exhibitions.

The first stop on this old west gold mine tour in Arizona is the Powerhouse Visitors Center/Arizona Route 66 & Electric Vehicle Museums. Thousands of visitors from around the world travel on Route 66 for adventure,  education and to enjoy the charming and imaginative displays. Modern-day explorers will discover a variety of information, including vehicles, photographs, and artifacts gathered over the history of “The Mother Road.” Following, we take an exciting trip through time as we view the different homes of our ancestors. After the museums, we take a short trip in downtown Kingman, where you can see a Historic Sears catalog home from the early 1900s built by the founder’s grandfather! Next up on this journey into deep history with homes that date back even further: The 1800-century home which was originally owned by great grandparents still stands today.

Second stop, is Route 66 Rock shop, minerals mined from the Black Mountains where Oatman is located, and then to Cool Springs Station . From the beginning of Route 66’s heyday, Cool Springs camp and service station was an important stop for motorists. Built-in the mid-1920s, the legacy of Cool Springs echoes the larger legend of Route 66. The Mother Road gave it life. Cool Springs (the inspiration for the movie Cars) was literally born on Route 66 and remains an antiquated spawn of the Mother Road today. This Route 66 Black Mountain scenic 8-mile stretch to Oatman known as “Sidewinder,” has 191 curves, turns, and switchbacks.

Panoramic views from Sitgreaves Pass during your travel of the Black Mountains – which borders the eastern shore of the south-flowing Colorado River from Hoover Dam – is, as one guest said, “stunning!”

As you descend the once gold-filled mountains into the small town of Oatman, it won’t take long to notice one particular feature of the old western town, with its wooden sidewalks and antiquated historical structures, the celebrity Oatman burros ! These wild but mostly docile creatures take over the town daily to the delight of tourists from around the world. The honorary mayor of the town, Walter, has his own books, an adoptive family of humans and stars on his own Facebook channel .
