all inclusive world cruise from southampton

Traditionally, these lengthy voyages of around 100 nights have been offered by P&O Cruises and Cunard , departing in early January. More recently the likes of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines , MSC Cruises , and even premium cruise lines like Oceania have added these adventurous departures to their schedules – although not all cruise roundtrip from Southampton.

Travel westbound, across the Atlantic to the USA and Caribbean. Venture through the modern marvel of the Panama Canal, or circumnavigate South America, as you make way for the highlights of the Pacific Ocean. Australasia, Polynesia and New Zealand await!

Then onwards to Southeast Asia, across the Indian Ocean, through the Arabian Gulf and the Suez Canal. The Mediterranean and Iberia will be your ship’s curtain call, as your voyage reaches its end back in Southampton.

Tempted yet?

That’s just one of the many options now available to you! And of course if you don’t have time for 3 months away from home, then we can discuss World Cruise sectors with you, meaning you can choose that part of the voyage that appeals most to you.

Five incredible all-inclusive cruises from Southampton

Sail to the Med, Scandinavia and as far as Canada from the UK, all the while enjoying incredible onboard value with Princess Plus and Princess Premier

By Liz Darke

For a holiday that offers both adventure and incredible value, our all-inclusive cruises from Southampton are a no-brainer. From the UK port of Southampton , our ships sail to destinations such as Oslo and Copenhagen in Scandinavia; Dublin , Belfast and Edinburgh on our British Isles itineraries; and as far as New York, New England and Canada. And that’s all without mentioning our Mediterranean cruises that depart Southampton, too, which give guests access to many of Europe’s bucket-list cities, including Rome , Barcelona and Athens . While a Princess cruise holiday means you can visit an array of incredible destinations in just one trip, our all-inclusive fares also offer brilliant value. Opt for our Princess Plus or Princess Premier fare when booking your cruise, and you can enjoy onboard Wi-Fi , a drinks package, speciality dining, fitness classes, OceanNow delivery, room service delivery, and plenty of other onboard perks, for a fixed daily rate. Princess Plus is £50 per day, per guest, while Princess Premier is £65 per day, per guest, so choosing one of our all-inclusive packages upon booking means you’ll save at least 50 per cent compared with purchasing the equivalent while onboard. Ready to join us on an all-inclusive cruise from Southampton? Let us tempt you with these incredible itineraries…

A Mediterranean adventure

Our much-loved cruises around the Med range from seven nights all the way to 31 nights, so whether you’re after a short break or a longer escape, there’s a trip to suit you. Our sailings offer guests the opportunity to visit some of Europe’s biggest and best cities, including Rome (from the port of Civitavecchia), where our shore excursions enable you to see global landmarks, such as the Colosseum , the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel , with ease. On cruises calling at Piraeus, guests can access Athens to explore the Acropolis and sample the city’s delicious street food , while the port stop of Barcelona means architectural marvel La Sagrada Familia is just a short bus ride away. For those who’ve already ticked off many of Europe’s most famous attractions, our Mediterranean cruises can also take you to some of the region’s unsung, lesser-travelled spots, like the ancient port of Cartagena in Spain, which offers sightseeing around its Roman ruins, as well as kayaking on its dazzling blue shoreline. Alternatively, a day in Valletta , the capital of Malta, offers up scenic strolls around the nearby fishing villages (like Marsaxlokk, pictured above), along with local wine and cheese tastings . Here’s to becoming an expert in Maltese rosé!

Sensational Scandinavia

Departing in a different direction from Southampton, our Scandinavian cruises offer a truly diverse holiday. In the verdant Norwegian capital, Oslo , you can enjoy traditional spiced buns in one of the city’s trendy coffee houses in the morning and be hiking around leafy forests and shimmering lakes come lunchtime. A sweaty session in the floating saunas that overlook Oslofjord is a fine way to spend the afternoon, too.

Our port stops in Denmark bring further variety: the buzzing Danish capital Copenhagen boasts cutting-edge homeware stores, chic bars and no fewer than 15 Michelin-starred restaurants, while Skagen , in the very north of the country, is a peaceful fishing town with picturesque streets and rugged, white-sand beaches.

Other Scandinavian capitals we call at are Helsinki (Finland) and Stockholm (Sweden) along with Tallinn , the capital of Estonia, in the Baltic region.

A fresh look at the British Isles

While you might have going abroad in mind for your next holiday, you’d be foolish to write off a trip on home soil (well, sea) straight away. With Princess, a staycation doesn’t mean long car journeys, traffic jams and sticking to just one location. Our British Isles cruises , which range from 10 to 12 nights, sail guests from Southampton to unmissable destinations in Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Northern England.

Think you’ve ‘been there, done that’ with everything our fair isles have to offer? How about taking to a high-speed RIB boat in search of puffins in Cork Harbour; or admiring masterpieces by the likes of Gainsborough and Canaletto at Penrhyn Castle in North Wales? What about spending the day with a professional photographer learning how to capture spectacular Loch Lomond in Scotland? Or visiting the real-life Strawberry Field and Penny Lane in Liverpool – locations that the Fab Four famously sang about? Not all adventures are found in a new time zone, trust us…

A bucket-list cruise across the Atlantic

How does a trip Stateside sound – to see the Statue of Liberty , the autumn leaves of New England and some of southern Canada’s prettiest coastal towns, with no air travel, waiting lounges or baggage restrictions? Brilliant, of course. Our 31-night Canada and New England 2024 cruise is the sailing of a lifetime. A round-trip from Southampton, the 13 port stops include Saguenay (Canada), where you can hike in the National Park , while keeping your eyes peeled for black bears, lynx and moose; Québec City (Canada), where highlights include an evening at a traditional ‘sugar shack’ feasting on maple-syrup-based delicacies; New York City , with its big-hitting sights all easily accessible on a hop-on, hop-off bus tour ; and Boston , where you can visit iconic Fenway Park , the oldest active baseball park in the major league and home to the Red Sox. With 16 days at sea, guests embarking on this bucket-list cruise will also have plenty of time to enjoy the facilities on their ship, Sky Princess . Enjoy nightly productions and entertainment in the Princess Theatre; dine in restaurants including modern Italian trattoria Sabatini’s and NYC-style steak house Crown Grill (to name just a couple); unwind with a treatment or two in the Lotus Spa ; and kick back with your favourite tipple in venues like Vines wine bar or Take Five jazz lounge. The Good Food Show at Sea

Calling all foodies! Our 14-night Spain and Portugal round-trip itinerary , that departs Southampton on 2nd November 2024, will play host to the very first Good Food Show at Sea . While you’ll be able to explore destinations known for their delectable delicacies, including Lisbon , home of the pastel de nata ; Seville , known for its vegetable gazpacho; and Bilbao , which boasts some of the best Basque cuisine in the region, there’ll also be plenty to get your teeth stuck into onboard. Culinary stars John Torode, Lisa Faulkner, Gennaro Contaldo and Rachel Allen will headline a broad line-up of food experts, and guests will have the opportunity to partake in tastings, hands-on workshops, cocktail masterclasses and much, much more. Cruises from Southampton

Southamptom, england port information.

A cruise out of Southampton unlocks all kinds of incredible destinations, from French and Spanish wine country to Norway’s majestic fjords. But this charming port is also a great destination in and of itself. Spend some time getting to know it before your holiday – you won’t be disappointed. If you have a soft spot for mediaeval history, you’ll find plenty of interesting sites here. Like Bargate, a gatehouse that dates back over a thousand years to Norman times. Or visit St Michael's church on Castle Way – built in the 11th century, it’s home to ancient Norman artefacts and relics. Then, fast forward a few centuries at the Tudor house in St Michael’s Square, which served as the home of a wealthy merchant family in the 15th century. Today it’s a museum that showcases exhibits featuring nearly a thousand years of local history.

When is the best time to book a cruise from Southampton?

When it comes to when to book, you may be wondering: does the early bird really get the worm, or are there perks to procrastinating? Planning ahead is a great way to nab big savings, as Royal Caribbean® often runs early saver deals to guests booking well in advance. Also, the closer you get to your preferred sail date, availability goes down, usually driving prices up. The net-net: booking ahead is a surefire way to lock in a great cruise deal, while waiting entails some risk. That said, booking a cruise at the last minute can also yield unexpected savings — but only if the itinerary you’re interested in isn’t sold out yet!
