We have AT&T and got the international plan that was $10 per day. We had no trouble with service. We just called from the airport before left and had them turn it on. We just went in Feb

We have AT&T and service was great all over the island. I feel I don't have a need for calls anymore so I just turn off my data roaming and use the free Wifi at our hotel and at most restaurants - I use Facebook for free messaging instead of phone calls and also use text messaging to get in touch with local friends. No need to pay extra if I don't have to. :)

AT&T has always worked great for us. We use Wifi when possible, but the good thing is that you can use the $10 plan per day if you need the phone when out of Wifi.

    2. Re: Cell Phone AT&T in Aruba. 5 years ago. Save. I literally just had my phone in airplane mode the entire trip and turned roaming OFF just to be safe, and just accessed Wifi for messaging and making calls and checking social media etc. The hotel had wifi all over and even on the beach, and most restaurants have wifi available as well.
