Voyager 17 Long Arm Quilting Machine

The Voyager 17 long arm quilting machine has a 17 inch throat. The 15 inch actual sewing area is much larger than a home sewing machine offers. Quilt larger, more complicated designs with ease! You can see more of your quilt at once and roll it less often.

The 5 inch throat height will easily handle a king size quilt even with high loft batting. The heavy duty motor has a maximum speed of 1,700 stitches per minute.

You can complete virtually any project that a more expensive machine can do at a fraction of the price. Although it weighs 70 pounds, your machine will glide effortlessly on 12 precision ball bearings. Metal bearings on metal rollers are quiet and create a smooth system. This means you have the best control for easier, quicker quilting.

Adjustable, reversible handles are included. You can adjust the handle angle and move them closer if desired. A good setting reduces fatigue and eliminates pain. Handles adjust to the quilt level, eliminating the need for microhandles. The handles are quickly changed for pantograph or template quilting.

The floating presser foot is spring loaded to float over various fabric thicknesses. The low profile foot provides better visibility for best results.

When I lived in Torrance Calif, I had a cabin at Big Bear. That log cabin quilt would have been just the thing to give the cabin a homey look! Great Job!

Great job on the quilt!! It is really nice that you were able to fix the machine instead of having to send it out for repair!

Love the quilts! I would love to know what adjustments you did to the machine. I am having a horrible time trying to get mine adjusted. I have been told Nolting purchased Hinterberg and Voyager and I seem to be stuck in the change over. No one is able to provide any assistance.

Oh why does NY have to be so far from NC -- I took a long arming class last week as a challenge to myself and now I'm eager to get more practice so that I can determine if owning one is in my long term plan but you make this very tempting. I hope Miss Penelope finds a lovely home soon.

Oh, I wish it weren't so far away! I'd be more than happy to give her a good home!

Hope you find a buyer. I don't have the space, nor the interest in a longarm. I'm afraid that if I owned a longarm I would feel obligated to quilt, and quilt for others!

I too have a Voyager 17, have been pretty happy with it. Curious to know what you have replaced yours with?

I'm almost happy I live on the other side of the country or this would about do in my self-control. Hope she finds a happy home soon!

how to set up a quilt on Hinterberg frame

So I decided to take a few pictures of the steps I take to put a quilt on my hinterberg summit frame.

The BEST part of this frame is the crank system and rollers, I just love ALL of it.

I have a 17" Voyager machine that has the complete Dekkt Out Quilting Supply electronics upgrade for sale.  It is on a Hinterberg Stretch frame, which is currently set at 10 feet, but the length can be changed just by you purchasing new conduit at a local hardware store.  The upgrade included new RAM handles, new encoders, a greatly improved stitch regulator, 5 stitch modes (Equate ie SLR, Baste, Cruise, Ruler and Robotics), new LED lights including ultravoilet and laser, needle up down, etc.  Included also are Red Snappers, hopping foot, bobbin winder, extension base, Towa gauge, zippers, 50 bobbins, 5 extra bobbin cases, extra belt, 100+ needles, oil, manual and 2 DVDs. $5,500. Purchased my Voyager 17 and Stretch Hinterberg frame from Ron, receiving them in June of 2007. I have quilted over 150 quilts with my set-up. I would recommend Sewing Machines Plus to anyone. Their service has been great.Absolutely no problems that were not customer caused. I did add a "pig-tail" bobbin. No other adjustments.

Voyager 17 & Stretch Frame

Ron and his staff got the machine and frame right out to us. Very easy assembly and everything seems to work fine. Have been practicing on it and am getting ready to try our first quilt on it today. We are not experienced at this so it took a lot of practice before we were comfortable to do our first quilt.
