FAQs for an all-inclusive Ireland vacation

Why book an all-inclusive ireland package with expedia.

Trips to Ireland in 2024 can be found for as little as from $891 with Expedia. The price of an average Ireland vacation, all-inclusive or not, depends on when you travel, what kind of a trip you're planning, and how fancy an experience you want to have. The more activities and the more luxurious your stay, the higher your bill. All-inclusive Ireland vacations are in a similar price range to other countries in Western Europe. Accommodation prices can be significantly higher in major cities such as Dublin or Belfast compared to more rural areas.

What is the best month to go to Ireland?

If you're looking for good weather when planning your Ireland all-inclusive vacation, one of the best months to visit is June. It's typically the sunniest month as well as one of the warmest. It's also just at the start of the peak tourist season, which means that you can avoid the larger crowds of July and August and enjoy some of Ireland's best attractions, such as the wild coastline of Donegal or the rugged cliffs of Moher, in peace.

Is Ireland an affordable vacation?

Ireland is an affordable destination, with prices for an Ireland all-inclusive vacation package starting from as low as from $891 in 2024. Keep in mind that hotels and dining out can get expensive in the bigger cities. Car rental can also be on the pricier side depending on when you are traveling. It's by far the easiest way to see the country, but you can also make the most of Ireland's extensive public transport network if you're traveling on a tighter budget.

What is the best amount of time to spend in Ireland?

If you're planning to travel extensively on your all-inclusive to Ireland, plan 2 weeks to get a good flavor of the country. The bigger cities, such as Dublin and Belfast, can easily be done in a couple of days. But the real centerpiece of the Emerald Isle is the glorious Irish countryside and the beautiful Atlantic Coast. A wonderful way to spend 2 weeks in Ireland is to take on the famous Wild Atlantic Way, a 1,553-mile drive that takes you all the way from the Inishowen Peninsula to the pretty town of Kinsale .

What month is the cheapest for all-inclusive Ireland vacations?

The winter months are usually the cheapest for visiting Ireland all-inclusive. November offers a good combination of cheap travel and reasonably good weather. It is a wonderful time to explore the lush rolling hills of the Irish countryside and hike some of its most scenic spots, such as the majestic Benbulbin just outside of Sligo . Ireland is a famously rainy destination, so don't forget to pack a raincoat and a good umbrella if you're planning all-inclusive vacations to Ireland outside of the sunnier spring and summer months.

What is the best way to tour Ireland?

One of the best ways to tour Ireland is by car. There is good public transport in the big cities, as well as plenty of bus and train connections between most counties. But if you want to be truly free and explore some of the more beautiful roads, you'll need a car. With Expedia, you can easily rent a car as part of your all-inclusive Ireland vacation package. For extra convenience, you can choose to pick the car up directly from the airport. If you're planning a trip across the British Isles, such as an Ireland and Scotland all-inclusive vacation , you can simply take the car with you on the ferry.

How many days do you need to visit Ireland?

If you're planning to stick to one or two big cities for your all-inclusive Ireland vacation, one week is more than enough. But if you're planning an all-inclusive honeymoon to Ireland and want to hit up some of the country's most renowned romantic spots, such as the fairytale Ashford Castle in County Mayo or the Connemara National Park , plan at least two weeks. Effortlessly plan your trip to Ireland with Expedia's handy step-by-step guide .

How to find the best deals for all-inclusive Ireland vacations on Expedia?

One of the best ways to find great deals for all-inclusive in Ireland is to be flexible with your travel dates. Traveling during the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn can often mean big savings on the total price of your package. With Expedia, effortlessly compare your travel dates and destinations to find some of the best deals. Bear in mind that in Ireland, all-inclusive vacations typically mean that your package includes flights and hotels. With Expedia's search filters, you can tailor your search results to show hotels that also include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Drinks or alcohol are typically not included in all-inclusive vacations to Ireland.

Why book an all-inclusive Bali package with Expedia?

Expedia has one of the world's largest selections of packages for all-inclusive vacations to Ireland at some of the best prices on the market. Effortlessly book your entire vacation from start to finish and manage all your bookings on one convenient platform. When you book all-inclusive to Ireland, you're saving money by bundling your flights, accommodation, and car rental into a single booking. And with Expedia's fantastic payment plans, you can even book now and pay later .

Can I cancel my all-inclusive Ireland package booking easily?

Plans can change, so you'll find it's extra easy to cancel your booking, whether you've booked an all-inclusive honeymoon to Ireland or a combined Ireland and Scotland all-inclusive trip. Log in to your Expedia account and head to My Trips, where you can cancel, amend, or add more items to your booking. Please make sure to read your cancellation policy before finalizing your booking.

  • Dublin City Slide 1 of 3: Dublin is a UNESCO City of Literature, a historic powerhouse and one of Europe's friendliest cities.
  • Wild Atlantic Way Slide 2 of 3: There are a million reasons to visit Ireland’s rugged west coast, including gorgeous sights and charming towns and villages.
  • Ireland’s Ancient East Slide 3 of 3: Uncover 5,000 years of history in Ireland’s Ancient East through compelling characters, ancient wonders, hidden stories and millennia-old myths.

Walk the streets of Dublin to feel the energy of more than 1,000 years of history, as echoes of the Vikings mix with quaint boutiques, cobbled streets reverberate with the sounds of musicians, and 18th-century parks play host to festivals and food markets.

Ireland’s Ancient East, a region that ripples more than  5,000 years of history, surrounds Dublin. There are compelling characters and ancient mysteries, hidden stories and millennia-old myths. Highlights include Kilkenny Castle in County Kilkenny, Glendalough in County Wicklow and the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary. Be sure to explore Newgrange, a passage tomb older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian Pyramids.

North of Dublin awaits Belfast in Northern Ireland, an electric city that pulsates with culture. Don’t miss the Causeway Coastal Route where iconic sites like the Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge are waiting to be discovered. The island of Ireland offers something for everyone!

It’s easy to head west from Dublin to Western Ireland’s rugged coast and the Wild Atlantic Way. Here, you can hit the road on a 1,500-mile coastal journey starting from the wind-whipped tip of Malin Head in County Donegal to the beauty of Kinsale town in County Cork. The island’s west coast will wow you with its epic sites like the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, the Ring of Kerry and Galway City.

TV and movie fans can visit filming locations from  Star Wars: The Force Awakens ,  Game of Thrones ® and Mel Gibson's  Braveheart , which featured Trim Castle.

Trim is just one of the 30,000 castles found in Ireland and each one is even more stunning than the next! Dunluce Castle sits at the tip of the Antrim Coast on Northern Ireland's Causeway Coastal Route and is one of the most picturesque and romantic castles you’ll find on the island.

In Western Ireland, don't  miss stopping for lunch at the Kylemore Abbey, a Victorian castle and walled garden, and the only home in Ireland to Benedictine nuns.

There's no better way to immerse yourself in Ireland's stunning nature than to experience it firsthand. There are walking and hiking trails all over the island that wind through lush woodland, open green pastures and breathtaking cliffsides. Or hit the road on two wheels and bike through the welcoming cities of Belfast and Galway or the many peaceful greenways like the Great Western Greenway or the Waterford Greenway.

Are you an active outdoor enthusiast? In Western Ireland, the beautiful, 38-square-mile Killarney National Park boasts miles of trails perfect for hikers or bicyclists, west coastal regions provide ideal sailing opportunities, and the picture-perfect landscape is even more beautiful on horseback.

Food is an integral part of contemporary culture on the island of Ireland — from lively farmers' markets and incredible local ingredients to craft brewing and distilling.

The island is bursting with incredible food experiences. Uncover the gourmet secrets of cities such as Dublin, Belfast, Galway and Cork. In the company of expert food guides, cook up a supper you just caught on a Wild Atlantic Way beach. Or delve into the deep traditions of Ireland's whiskey by exploring the whiskey trails and hearing the stories behind some of the iconic distillers, including Bushmills in Northern Ireland, Slane Whiskey in Ireland's Ancient East, and Clonakilty on the Wild Atlantic Way.

In true Irish fashion, there is a smattering of pubs no matter where you are, most of them offering traditional Irish music, comedy, or other nightly concerts and performances to go along with your pint.

Delta Vacations flight + hotel packages include round-trip airfare aboard Delta ®  or a partner airline to Dublin International Airport (DUB) or if you’re visiting Western Ireland, you can fly into the Shannon Airport (SNN). You can purchase round-trip private car, SUV and van transfers from the airport to your hotel.

For a Northern Ireland experience, fly into Belfast (BFS). If you plan on seeing several areas across the region, add a car rental to your package. Just remember to drive on the left side.

What are some benefits of booking an all-inclusive vacation.

When you opt for an all-inclusive vacation to Ireland, you can have everything you want to do planned out in advance. That means you get to simply coast through your vacation knowing exactly what's coming next. Plus, this helps you get a final tally on the costs beforehand, so it's much easier on your budget.

Low Season 2024

Mid season 2024, high season 2024, example private/chauffeur driven tour itinerary.

Day 1 Shannon-Galway. Morning arrival at Shannon Airport where after clearing customs you are met by your Professional Irish Driver/Guide. Leaving Shannon Airport you travel via Limerick, Irelands 3rd largest city. Early morning drive through Ennis to Go on to Galway. Check into our hotel for a short rest… This afternoon we tour rugged Connemara. We take in the magnificent views of the Connemara region, Ireland’s treasure of wild, natural beauty where Gaelic remains the only spoken language. We travel via Clifden to Kylemore Abbey, monastic home of the Benedictine Nuns before returning to Galway. After dinner why not enjoy a pint at the pub “AuPouchan” a short walk from Eyre Square with great Irish Music. Overnight Hardiman Hotel or ASHFORD CASTLE (Ask for Rates)

Day 2 Galway-Cliffs of Moher-Killarney. After breakfast we head south through the rugged Burren. We stop at The Cliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet and stretch along the Atlantic Coastline for five miles. Enjoy the view and perhaps a coffee before continuing along the coast as we head towards Killmer to take the Tarbert Ferry to cross the Shannon Estuary. We then continue south through Abbeyfeele and on to Killarney. Enjoy a late lunch before checking into your hotel. You could decide to eat your hotel this evening; however, another suggestion is to check out “Gaby’s”. It is in the middle of town where you will be and has great seafood. Plenty of local pubs to hear great music this evening. Overnight Killarney International Hotel.

Day 3 The Dingle Peninsula. After breakfast, experience the true beauty of Ireland on this full day tour to the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula. Traveling via Tralee and The Slieve Mish Mountains we will stop in the sleeping fishing village of Dingle before heading out to see Slea Head and the ominous views of The Blasket Islands With its 12th century Beehive Huts, its ominous views of the Blasket Island originally home to Irish Monks, we have been told by many travelers that the awe-inspiring beauty of this particular area has left them with a truly spiritual feeling. Suggested lunch stop in Dingle is Maria DeBraae, right on the main street, Dingle. We depart Dingle and travel via Tralee where every August the famous Rose of Tralee Festival is held. Tonight, enjoy many of the local restaurants Killarney has to offer. Overnight Killarney International Hotel

Day 4 Killarney-Macroom-Blarney-Kinsale. After a leisurely breakfast we depart Killarney and travel over the Derry Nasaggart Mountains to Macroom. Macroom Castle is the boyhood home of William Penn during the years that he lived in County Cork. It stands on the western margin of the town of Macroom, and its windows look away into the distance where a rugged land lies at the foot of the mountains. We continue to picturesque Kinsale. As part of the European conflict raging between Catholic Spain and Protestant England, Spain sent a force of men to support the Irish leader O’Neill. The rendezvous was set for Ulster, however the Spanish under Aquila landed at Kinsale in October 1601. Here they soon took possession of the local strong points. Kinsale is now noted as “The Gourmet Capital of Ireland” and is especially noted for its seafood. Be sure to partake of this fine food at The Blue Haven. Stroll through the narrow street filled with local artisan’s ware. Overnight Trident Hotel.

Day 5 Kinsale-Kilkenny-County Laois-Dublin. Morning departure from Kinsale takes us through the Medieval Town of Kilkenny. Time to visit Kilkenny Castle (optional) which in the last few years has been completely restored with original artifacts. We continue through County Laois, stopping as you like to see the county of your Irish Heritage. You may also eliminate Kilkenny to spend more time in Laois. We continue to Dublin where on arrival we bid farewell to our Irish Driver Guide. By now he surely has become a part of our family. Overnight Davenport Hotel.

Day 6 Dublin. Our last day in Ireland presents itself with a plethora of activities. I would suggest taking a ½ day sightseeing tour of this 1000-year-old city. You can purchase you tour from the Dublin Bus Company which is located at 69 O’Connell Street. You will be sure to see ST. Patrick’s Cathedral where writer Jonathan Swift gave his sermons, The G.P.O. on O’Connell Street scene of the 1916 Easter Uprising where the bullet holes till remain to this day. Drive through famous Phoenix Park where the Pope said Mass in late 70’s and finally Trinity College to view the 8th century manuscripts, The Book of Kells, still preserved as they were when the Monks produced them all those centuries ago. Make sure to visit Dublin’s oldest Pub, O’Donohues for a last pint! Overnight Davenport Hotel.

Day 7 Dublin-USA. Make your way to Dublin Airport allowing time for last minute duty-free shopping before boarding your flight.

More About Dublin

Being the capital of Ireland, Dublin does not disappoint, as it is known for its culture and friendly welcome. The city promises to be very exciting. Dublin has culture and art on almost every corner, including its hidden gem, Ardgillan Castle and Gardens. With over 1,000 pubs, there is always an opportunity to meet new people. Take a stroll down Grafton Street, which offers shops and pubs where you can try a Guinness. Merrion Square was once home to the poet Oscar Wilde. The list of things and places to visit never ends, from Trinity College, Dublin Castle, and the Abbey Theatre to the National History Museum and National Gallery.

Summer offers a real lift, as the natives spill out of the pubs into the slew of sidewalk cafés and open-air restaurants. The week around St. Patrick's Day (March 17) is, naturally, a nonstop festival of parades, cultural happenings, and "hooleys" (long nights of partying). Christmas in Dublin seems to last a month, and the city's old-style illuminations match the genteel, warm mood of the locals.

A sweater is a must year round; even summer nights can get chilly. Dublin gets its share of rain (though a lot less than other parts of Ireland), so an umbrella is a good investment.

Top Experiences

Guinness Storehouse : Ireland’s number 1 visitor attraction. Created in the 1700’s by Arthur Guinness, the ebullition house is now a multimedia exhibition.

St. Patrick’s and Christ Church Cathedrals : These two cathedrals are a 10-minute walk apart. St. Patrick’s dates back to 1220. Christ Church has hosted pilgrims for almost 1,000 years. Both showcase medieval art and architecture.

Book of Kells and Trinity College : The Book of Kells is an illuminated manuscript of four gospels of the Christian New Testament. Its illustrations are majestic and legendary. Located at Trinity College, there are also art exhibits and beautiful campus.

Irish Emigration Museum : Following the journeys of over 10 million people who left Ireland throughout history. The Irish Family History Centre is also here if you want to delve into your Irish past. Most of Dublin’s museums are free and there are many worth looking at.

Dublin Castle : Built over the ruins of a Danish Viking fortress, this castle began construction about 1230. It has morphed many times over the centuries depending on its uses and doesn’t resemble a castle in looks. But is used for every large state event and you can take a guided tour.
