Complimenti davvero bella!!!

9 Best Apps for Finding Cheap Flights
The best flight apps help you score a deal with a few swipes on your smartphone.
Getty Images
With the help of technology, you may be able to save by booking at the right time, snagging a mistake fare or flying into a different airport.
Key Takeaways
- Airfare can be one of the most expensive parts of traveling.
- Apps make it easy to track trends in fare prices, look for deals and book flights.
- Some apps are completely free to use while others may charge a fee.
- While some apps charge a fee, there may be a free version available with limited features.
There’s good news for travelers: airfares dropped 5.9% during the past year as of May 2024, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That means taking that dream vacation may be more attainable now than in the past.
You may be able to save even more by booking at the right time, snagging a mistake fare or flying into a different airport. To find the best deals, you can use an app designed to help people find cheap flights.
The best flight apps offer features that will alert you to price drops, let you search for cheaper travel times or help you find special pricing not found elsewhere.
Try one of these nine discount airfare apps and services that frequent flyers say work for them:
A good flight alert program can simplify the process of finding a deal. These services send emails or notifications whenever there is discounted airfare available to selected destinations, and Going is a favorite source for flight alerts. The company notes that most deals are 40% to 90% off normal prices and says most members save an average of $550 on economy flights.
“(It) is one of the best apps to use when searching for cheap flights,” says Alex Miller, CEO of UpgradedPoints.com. “It can narrow down what city you're located in and then alert you when a qualifying airfare, based on criteria that you set, is found.”
Users can choose from three tiers of service:
Free limited accounts receive alerts about deals on continental U.S. flights.
Premium plans cost $49 a year and include international and domestic economy flights as well as mistake fares and points and miles deals.
Frequent globetrotters may want to spring for the elite plan that provides alerts for economy, business and first-class flights as well as mistake fares from all U.S. airports. It costs $199 per year.
2. Skyscanner
Skyscanner has a free flight app that is compatible with both Apple and Android devices and provides pricing alerts when a good deal becomes available. The app is easy to use and allows you to set alerts for specific dates or routes.
Travelers can also use Skyscanner's calendar and charts to compare hundreds of flights for both international and domestic destinations. The app highlights flights that emit less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, lets users mix and match flights from different carriers and offers a search option that allows travelers to find the best prices for flights originating from their chosen airports.
When you find a flight you like, Skyscanner will direct you to a third-party booking app to make the purchase. In addition to flights, users can search for hotels and car rentals using Skyscanner.
3. Dollar Flight Club
Dollar Flight Club is similar to Going, but it structures its plans differently.
Free accounts get alerted to deals from one departure airport while premium members can choose four departure airports for deal alerts on domestic and international economy flights. Premium membership costs $69 a year. There is also a Premium Plus+ membership that runs $169 per year and includes premium economy and business class deals as well.
The service says booking a single flight using Dollar Flight Club can provide a return of 10 times your investment and that the average savings on a Premium Plus+ flight deal is more than $700.
4. Google Flights
While not currently available as an app, Google Flights offers a simple online interface that allows you to search for flights to specific airports and then see a calendar view that shows when flights will be cheapest. It also has a price graph that allows you to see pricing trends over time.
“You can plug in your start city and then let Google Flights make suggestions on where to fly from there based upon the cost of airfare,” Miller says. That’s a useful tool for travelers with flexibility.
Once you find the right airfare, you'll need to find and book it directly with the carrier or through a third-party booking service.
The Hopper app comes with a variety of tools that can help you find and lock in the best price. It is free to download and use although some features, such as price freezes and the ability to cancel for any reason, come with a fee. However, its core service is to predict future travel prices, something Hopper says it can do with 95% accuracy.
That’s one reason it’s among the best flight apps, according to Kevin Raposo, founder of KnowTechie. He used it to book a vacation to Saint Lucia and says it couldn’t have been easier. “You can do it all at the push of a button,” he says.
For those just browsing on the app – which is available for Apple and Android devices – Hopper will color code flights using green, yellow and red to indicate which flights are most and least expensive.
Compatible with Android and Apple devices, Kiwi promises its app will provide travelers with exclusive offers and prices. It searches for the best rates from all available airlines to piece together the lowest-priced itinerary.
The free app also offers the opportunity to search for all deals from a specific airport, which can be handy for those who are ready to take a vacation but don't have a particular destination in mind. Within the app, users can get price alerts, access mobile boarding passes and view airport maps.
Kiwi also offers travel hacks that can save money, such as bookings with “hidden cities” and a Nomad tool for those who want to visit multiple cities. What's more, the app offers other travel services such as destination guides and the location of Wi-Fi hotspots.
7. ExpertFlyer
The ExpertFlyer website won’t win any design awards. It looks like something from the early days of the internet and even references now-obsolete Blackberry devices. But frequent flyers say that shouldn’t deter you.
“ExpertFlyer is another great tool, though admittedly it's for the more advanced flyer,” Miller says. “Rather than perform ordinary searches to uncover good airfare deals, you can set alerts and search by specific inventory on flights.”
That means that this service is intended for those who know where, when and with which airline they want to fly. If you have a specific route that you travel frequently, ExpertFlyer can help you find discounted fares.
A free version provides seat alerts while a paid pro subscription, which starts at $4.99 per month, comes with additional features such as the ability to search for awards and upgrades.
Airfare apps aren’t only for those booking vacations. Business travelers and their employers are often searching for a good deal as well. That’s the niche Onriva fills.
“We’ve built a platform to bring everything in one place (so) you don’t have to hop from site to site,” says Onriva founder and CEO Vajid Jafri. “This has never existed before.”
While other apps may make it possible to book from multiple companies, they typically serve as a digital travel agency. With Onriva, all bookings are made directly with an airline or other vendor through the app’s platform, which it says can provide savings of 20%. For added convenience, Onriva also provides customer service.
The app brings together travel options from more than three million suppliers and then uses artificial intelligence to learn user preferences and make recommendations.
Anyone with a business email address can sign up for an Onriva account, but you’ll have to request a demo to get pricing information.
9. Your Favorite Airline’s App
In your search for cheap flights, don’t overlook your favorite airline’s app. Booking direct can sometimes be the best option, according to Sandra McLemore, a travel industry expert and TV host.
“While these (third-party) apps may feel convenient and more user-friendly than other online booking options, buyer beware,” McLemore says. If you buy your tickets through that third-party app, you may find it difficult to receive customer service should any issues arise.
“An airline will send you right back to the app or online booking engine to receive service,” McLemore points out.
Also, by focusing your spending with a specific airline you may find it easier to accumulate frequent flyer miles, which you can redeem for free flights and therefore save more money in the long run.

Easyjet rules on how the airline assigns seats and how to get the best places onboard
Easyjet has explained what you should do if you want to be allocated the best seats possible without paying and sit with the rest of your group

If you are planning to fly with Easyjet this summer, it may be worth knowing what the airline's rules are when it comes to seat allocation.
Easyjet passengers can get the best seats onboard - completely free - with a simple check-in tip. Travellers who wish to select a specific seat while flying out of the UK face having to pay extra fees.
Easyjet explained: "You can choose where you’d like to sit for a fee. Seats can be selected at the time of booking, or at any time before you check-in, via Manage bookings on our website or mobile app."

The airline further added: "If you don't select a seat we'll assign seats randomly for free when you check in and will do all we can to ensure everyone on the booking sits together. However, this is not guaranteed, especially when checking in closer to departure."
If you want to be allocated the best seats possible without paying and boost your chances of sitting with the rest of your travel party, you should check in as soon as possible. You can check in between 30 days and 2 hours before your flight departs and you can download or print your boarding passes for all your flights, reports BirminghamLive.
You may need your passport or identity card and you'll be asked to confirm your contact details, Easyjet said. "The best way to store your boarding passes is to use the free easyJet mobile App or you can choose to print them out," the airline went on to say.
It added: "You cannot use a PDF scan of your boarding pass on your mobile device as the airport security team will be unable to scan them. If you lose your boarding pass don’t worry, you can simply print them again. If printing, make sure the entire boarding pass is clearly printed.
"If you make any change to your booking – like adding hold luggage or flight changes – make sure you check in again, and print off a new boarding pass."

EasyJet Adds Derry To Network With Liverpool, Edinburgh Flights
EasyJet will add the City of Derry Airport (LDY) in Northern Ireland to its network in November, becoming the third airline to offer scheduled services at the airport.
From Nov. 4, easyJet will launch year-round flights from LDY to both Liverpool, England, and Edinburgh, Scotland. Both routes will be flown 2X-weekly and are exclusive to the airline, which is an all-Airbus A320-family aircraft operator.
“The new routes will … serve demand for domestic connectivity between Northern Ireland and key cities across the UK,” easyJet said in a statement.
Loganair currently offers 3X-weekly service between LDY and London Heathrow Airport, and is also operating 4X-weekly flights during the summer season between LDY and Glasgow, Scotland. Those routes are being flown with Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft.
Ryanair in April opened year-round service between LDY and Birmingham, England, operating 2X-weekly flights with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The ULCC also operates 2X-weekly flights between LDY and Manchester, England.
“Services to Edinburgh and Liverpool have been in demand from both corporate and leisure travelers in the northwest [of Northern Ireland],” said Brenda Morgan, LDY’s head of business development. She noted both easyJet routes will be flown on Fridays and Mondays, “fantastic timings for business travel during the week and weekend breaks for the leisure market.”
The airport currently does not have service to Dublin. LDY views gaining a connection to the Irish capital a priority.

EasyJet cancels flights without any notice affecting hundreds of passengers
Share this with
Holidaymakers have been left stranded after a string of flight cancellations from two Scottish airports.
EasyJet passengers were left high and dry following a wave of cancellations from Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports.
Travellers claimed they were given little notice about grounded flights on Thursday morning.
Some families turned up to the airports just to find out their flights had been axed, Daily Record reports.
One of the disappointed passengers was Sarah Machete who was off to Naples for her wedding.
The bride wrote on X (formerly Twitter) she was ‘just about to leave for the airport for our flight to Naples for out wedding and got a message from EasyJet to say our flight has been cancelled.’
She claimed EasyJet told her the only option was to fly on Saturday.
The airline reportedly said the cancellations were caused by an issue with air traffic control.
It comes just as most Scottish schools broke off for the summer holidays.
Guy Houston, from Falkirk, Scotland , told the outlet: ‘We arrived at Glasgow Airport at 5am and there were passengers standing around. The airport staff were telling us to check the easyJet app and no one would speak to us.
‘There were no easyJet employees there to help. By the time we arrived home, I received an email to say they couldn’t provide another flight within the next two days so the entire holiday was cancelled.
‘It’s the first day of the school summer holidays and this is what families face. It’s terrible. I feel like they have just washed their hands of us.’
He claimed a customer service employee at EasyJet told him his flight was axed because of storms that affected UK flights, according to the outlet.
Guy said the ordeal left him ‘thousands of pounds out of pocket’ and it was ‘hard to book something else.’
”m desperately trying to sort something else out for us but we’ve only got a certain amount of time booked off work. I won’t be rebooking with them,’ he added.
A flight from Crete to Edinburgh late on Wednesday was reportedly also cancelled due to a ‘technical issue,’ while multiple flights from Edinburgh to London and Glasgow to Malaga are thought to have been affected.
An EasyJet flight from Edinburgh to Dubrovnik due at 4.35pm and 9.15pm to Amsterdam appear to have been cancelled, the airport’s departure board shows.
A spokesperson for EasyJet told the outlet: ‘We’re very sorry that, due to the impact of air traffic control restrictions caused by adverse weather yesterday which meant this flight was unable to operate and no suitable alternative flights were available, we had to cancel this customer’s holiday at short notice.
‘We’ve been in touch with our customer to apologise and confirm that we have processed a full refund.’
EasyJet was approached for a comment.

EasyJet cancels flights as hundreds of Brit tourists have summer holidays axed
easyJet has cancelled flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports with little notice for travellers who turned up to check-in before being sent home
- 17:17, 27 Jun 2024
- Updated 08:20, 28 Jun 2024
EasyJet has axed a spate of flights - plunging families' summer holidays into chaos.
Multiple journeys from Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports have been cancelled with little notice by the budget airline. Tourists, though, turned up at these hubs to check in but were sent home, it is thought. Some told the Mirror booking alternative flights has, for now at least, cost them hundreds of pounds .
Sarah Machete was heading to Edinburgh Airport to fly to Naples for her dream wedding when she received a message to say her flight had been cancelled. The bride slammed the airline after she was only offered alternative flights for two days later.
She told Daily Record : "I was just about to leave for our flight to Naples for our wedding. Then I got a message to say our flight had been cancelled. The only option I've been given is Saturday - in two days."
A second passenger, who was booked on the same flight, said he too had lost two days of his holiday. Ian wrote on X, formally known as Twitter: "easyJet have cancelled our flight from Edinburgh to Naples and rebooked us so we lose nearly two days of our holiday. Why are we not booked on another airline to get us to Naples today." The Mirror is tonight working to establish how many flights were cancelled in total.

Guy Houston was due to fly to Tunisia with his wife and daughter to start their summer holidays. The family had forked out for a package holiday but their flight was cancelled 65 minutes before it was due to take off at Glasgow Airport. They were advised to head home and wait for further instructions.
Guy, from Falkirk, Scotland, told the Record: "We arrived at Glasgow Airport at 5am and there were passengers standing around. The airport staff were telling us to check the easyJet app and no one would speak to us.
"There were no easyJet employees there to help. By the time we arrived home, I received an email to say they couldn't provide another flight within the next two days so the entire holiday was cancelled. It's the first day of the school summer holidays and this is what families face. It's terrible. I feel like they have just washed their hands of us."
Guy claimed a customer service employee from easyJet's call centre said their flight was cancelled due to storms that had affected UK flights and it was out of their control.
He added: "The airline said we would get a refund but there was no mention of compensation. We booked this holiday months ago and we got a good price.
"I'm thousands of pounds out of pocket, it will be hard to book something else. I'm desperately trying to sort something else out for us but we've only got a certain amount of time booked off work. I won't be rebooking with them."
The airline said on their website the cancellations were due to an issue with air traffic control. A third flight from Crete to Edinburgh that was due to leave at 23.35 on Wednesday June 26, was also cancelled with a "technical issue" on the aircraft cited as the fault by the airline. Multiple flights from Edinburgh to London and Glasgow to Malaga were also affected.
The airline also made a spate of cancellations to early morning flights across other UK airports as passengers took to social media to claim they were stranded in Turkey and Greece without accommodation.
One mother in the early hours of the morning said passengers at Dalaman had been abandoned been in the airport for three hours without any help or offer of accommodation. A man also reported the same issue for a flight to London that had been cancelled.
Andrew Parker said his elderly parents were stuck in Malaga after a fight to Liverpool was cancelled and there staff to help anyone. Mark Kent posted on X "Was due to return to AMS from EDI last night. Notified I get to EDI it was cancelled. No one on at counter only a note to go to the drop area. Your staff there were clueless, lazy, telling us to sort it through the app. Abysmal."
A spokesperson for easyJet said: "We’re very sorry that, due to the impact of air traffic control restrictions caused by adverse weather yesterday which meant this flight was unable to operate and no suitable alternative flights were available, we had to cancel this customer's holiday at short notice. We’ve been in touch with our customer to apologise and confirm that we have processed a full refund."

EasyJet will launch its first-ever flights to City of Derry airport in Northern Ireland from November, with links from Edinburgh and Liverpool .
Neither route is currently served, and they will improve access both to Derry itself and the wider region of northwest Ireland, including County Donegal in the Republic .
Initially flights will run only on Mondays and Fridays. The airline says one-way fares start at £18, though The Independent has so far been unable to verify prices on the easyJet website.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We are proud to be the largest airline in Northern Ireland and by expanding our network we are providing our customers in Northern Ireland even greater choice and UK connectivity.”
Steve Frazer, managing director at City of Derry airport, said: “EasyJet brings an undeniable level of brand credibility and customer confidence, not to mention great value fares for travellers across our catchment area.”
Many passengers have complained about high fares on Loganair’s small aircraft, which currently serve London Heathrow and Glasgow.
In addition, Ryanair flies from Manchester and Birmingham. The Irish airline dropped its link from London Stansted to City of Derry many years ago.
Brenda Morgan, the airport’s head of business development, said: “Services to Edinburgh and Liverpool have been in demand from both corporate and leisure travellers in the Northwest.”
The airline schedule analyst Sean Moulton said: “Edinburgh and Liverpool are two of the most demanded routes from Derry.
“Ryanair served these pre-Covid, and Loganair operated the two until 2023.
“EasyJet will be the third scheduled airline and Derry will now have links to six destinations in Great Britain. This enhanced connectivity will bring families and friends closer together, and could also boost investment and growth in northwest Northern Ireland.”
The routes will run year-round. Airport bosses hope the frequency will increase from two per week – with possible expansion to easyJet’s biggest base, London Gatwick.
The domestic flights cover 161 miles from the Scottish capital and 211 miles from the Merseyside airport.
EasyJet already serves Belfast International (46 miles away) and George Best Belfast City (59 miles).

A MAJOR airline beloved by Brits jetting off on their summer holidays has left them stranded after cancelling flights with little notice.
EasyJet has axed a series of flights, sending home tourists who turned up at two UK airports to check in.
One woman was already en route to the airport to jet to Naples for her dream wedding when she received notice of the canned flight.
The popular budget airline cancelled the journeys leaving from airports in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Soon-to-be bride Sarah Machete told the Daily Record : "I was just about to leave for our flight to Naples for our wedding.
"Then I got a message to say our flight had been cancelled.

EasyJet announced on their website that cancellations were due to an air traffic control problem.
Guy said a customer service rep told him flights were cancelled because of storms.
He said: "The airline said we would get a refund but there was no mention of compensation. We booked this holiday months ago and we got a good price.
"I'm thousands of pounds out of pocket, it will be hard to book something else. I'm desperately trying to sort something else out for us but we've only got a certain amount of time booked off work. I won't be rebooking with them."
Another flight from Crete returning to Edinburgh was cancelled because of a "technical issue" on the aircraft.
Some customers complained online that they had been left stranded abroad without accomodation.
A spokesperson for easyJet said: "We’re very sorry that, due to the impact of air traffic control restrictions caused by adverse weather yesterday which meant this flight was unable to operate and no suitable alternative flights were available, we had to cancel this customer's holiday at short notice.
"We’ve been in touch with our customer to apologise and confirm that we have processed a full refund."
It comes as passengers at Heathrow airport were left fuming after an "IT outage" sparked huge delays and massive queues.
Stranded passengers said they were stuck on planes and left travelling home without luggage .
Brit Richard White, 59, told The Sun of how he was stuck on his flight for an hour at the airport.
He said: "So we were on the runway for over an hour after we landed. The pilot wanted passengers to keep their seatbelts on because we could move any moment.
"The problem was that a lot of people needed the toilet. At one point the pilot had to move the plane at short notice, when some people were in the toilet. It really was very difficult."
And Manchester airport experienced similarly huge queues last week when all flights out of Terminals 1 and 2 were cancelled.
Flyers told The Sun those terminals were like a "minefield" earlier as thousands of people were stuck inside with nowhere to go.
