Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are returning to Sweden for two concerts at Friends Arena!

Last summer, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band delivered "the greatest show on earth" (Billboard) in Europe, and now the band announces that they will return next year for 22 concerts! Starting on May 5th in Cardiff, Wales, Springsteen and The E Street Band will bring their "rapturous and cathartic" (USA Today) world tour 2024 to Sweden and Friends Arena for two long-awaited concerts!

Experience the concert in an exclusive suite with food, drinks and fantastic seats ✨

Elevate your experience as soon as you arrive at the arena with fast track through the premium entrance, where our hosts will greet you and guide you to the suite. There, you'll be served a beautifully presented dinner alongside a generous beverage package. You'll then watch the concert from excellent seats directly adjacent to the suite.

The suite is sold either as its own exclusive area or as separate seats/parts in a suite. It is available to you and your party two hours before and one hour after the concert.  As you can hear – this is a must for those with extra hungry hearts!

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band Add 22 European Stadium Shows to World Tour 2024

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have announced a 22-stop European run as part of their overarching 2024 World Tour. News of the added dates arrives after a series of postponements from the artist, who has been experiencing symptoms related to peptic ulcer disease . With health concerns at bay, the group and their namesake will commence the impending jaunt on May 5 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. 

After concluding their first stop, the veteran players will take a few days off before resuming their tour on May 9 at Boucher Road in Kilkenny, Ireland. The tour will continue with additional appearances in Ireland, followed by a lone Sunderland, England date on May 22. From there, they will take the stage at Orange Vélodrome in Marseille, France, on May 25.

Springsteen and company will participate in a Prague, Czech Republic stand next before picking up two dates at San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy, and another pair of shows in Madrid, Spain. Remaining in the aforementioned country, the group will drift over to Barcelona on June 20, just before a tight run of dates through the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, and Finland.

With much of the early summer behind them, the Springsteen and The E Street Band will participate in two shows at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 15 and 18. The remaining dates will unfold in Bergen, Norway, on July 21, and the final stop of the tour on July 25 at London’s  Wembley Stadium. The newly added tour dates arrive after a successful 2023 European outing, resulting in over 1.6 million tickets sold.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Announce 2023 Tour

Bruce Springsteen has announced a 2023 tour, which marks the long-awaited live return of the E Street Band . Springsteen and the group’s tour—their first since The River tour wrapped up in 2017—kicks off in February 2023 in U.S. arenas, continues in European stadia starting April 28, and continues with a North American run beginning in August. All U.S. dates will be announced at a later date, with additional UK and Belgium dates on the way, too.

“After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year,” Springsteen said in a statement. “And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year—and beyond!”

The European dates include shows in Barcelona, Dublin, Paris, Ferrara, Rome, Amsterdam, Landgraaf, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Vienna, Munich and Monza.

Springsteen has remained busy in the years since he last went on the road with Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, Patti Sciafla, Roy Bittan, Gary Tallent, Nils Lofgren, and the rest. He launched a Broadway show , which got an accompanying Netflix film and earned him a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award .

Springsteen also released two solo albums: 2019’s Western Stars and 2020’s Letter to You , which both also got accompanying films. He starred in a Jeep commercial that aired during the Super Bowl , too, and was briefly pulled after news emerged of a DWI charge (which was later dismissed ). He also put out a podcast and book with former President Barack Obama. Last year, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts was released as an album and film.

UPDATED: Springsteen announces 2023 European dates, U.S. to come

After the Associated Press posted, and then removed, a story on Bruce Springsteen's 2023 tour (oops), Springsteen Inc. has officially announced the European dates for the long-awaited return of Bruce and the E Street Band.

Unclear if "to-be-announced" is today or at some point later for the U.S. dates — check back for more information as it becomes available!

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will mark their return to the road in early February, 2023 with a string of to-be-announced US arena dates, followed by European stadium shows kicking off on April 28th in Barcelona and a second North American tour leg starting in August.

Said Springsteen: “After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year. And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond.”

The planned European stops are Barcelona, Dublin, Paris, Ferrara, Rome, Amsterdam, Landgraaf, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Vienna, Munich and Monza. Additional cities and shows in the UK and Belgium will be announced at a later date.

These 2023 dates will mark the first live shows for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band since the conclusion of their 14-month, worldwide The River Tour in Australia in February, 2017. The River Tour was named 2016’s top global tour by both Billboard and Pollstar.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band last reconnected to perform on Saturday Night Live in December 2020, where they launched live versions of two songs from their most recent studio album ‘Letter To You’ (Columbia Records), which reached #1 in eleven countries and marked the band’s first time recording live together in decades. Last year, Springsteen unveiled his never-before-released “The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts” film, collaborated with President Barack Obama on the book ‘Renegades: Born In The USA’ and reprised his record setting show ‘Springsteen On Broadway’ to help reopen New York City theaters last summer.

The E Street Band’s members are: Roy Bittan – piano, synthesizer; Nils Lofgren – guitar, vocals; Patti Scialfa – guitar, vocals; Garry Tallent – bass guitar; Stevie Van Zandt – guitar, vocals; and Max Weinberg – drums; with Soozie Tyrell – violin, guitar, vocals; Jake Clemons – saxophone; and Charlie Giordano – keyboards.

Bruce Springsteen (full name Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Springsteen has released 20 studio albums, many of which feature his backing band the E Street Band. Originally from the Jersey Shore, he is one of the originators of the heartland rock style of music, combining mainstream rock musical style with narrative songs about working class American life.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Make Announcement After “Vocal Issues” Forced Them to Postpone Concerts

Bruce Springsteen was forced to postpone four concerts on his current European tour leg with the E Street Band, after the Boss experienced “vocal issues.” Now, Springsteen and his group have rescheduled two of the postponed dates , although they won’t be taking place until 2025.

Bruce and the E Street Band’s concert in Marseille, France, at the Orange Vélodrome, which originally was scheduled for May 25, 2024, now will be held May 31, 2025. The group’s show in Prague, Czech Republic, at Airport Letnany, which had been scheduled for May 28, 2024, now will take place on June 15, 2025.

All tickets for the postponed concerts will be valid for the new dates. Those who would like a refund will be able to secure one at the original point of purchase for both shows. Refunds will be available for the Marseille show until July 31, 2024, and for the Prague concert through September 3.

Springsteen and the E Street Band also postponed two concerts that were to have been held in Milan, Italy, at San Siro Stadium on June 1 and June 3. Rescheduled dates for those shows will be announced at a later date.

More About Springsteen’s “Vocal Issues”

Springsteen’s vocal troubles became apparent after his concert with the E Street Band on May 22 in Sunderland, England. The Boss’ voice was noticeably hoarse at the 2024 Ivor Awards ceremony on May 23 in London. During the event, Paul McCartney introduced him when he was presented with The Ivors Academy’s prestigious Fellowship honor . Springsteen became the first international songwriter to receive the honor.

A May 26 message about the concert postponements announced that “further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days.”

About Springsteen’s Upcoming 2024 Tour Plans

The current tour is scheduled to resume with a June 12 concert in Madrid, Spain, at Metropolitano Stadium. Bruce and company also have shows at the same venue on June 14 and June 17.

As previously reported, Springsteen and the E Street Band’s European tour leg is mapped out through a July 25 show at Wembley Stadium in London.

Bruce Springsteen and E Street postpone four European concerts amid 'vocal issues'

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have postponed four European shows as Springsteen deals with “vocal issues.”

Springsteen is “recuperating comfortably,” according to the Boss' social media.

Concerts May 28 at the Letnany Airport in Prague and June 1 and 3 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan have been postponed, according to an announcement on Springsteen's socials on Sunday, a day after he postponed a May 25 performance in Marseille, France.

“Following yesterday's postponement in Marseille due to vocal issues, further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days,” the statement read. “With this in mind, additional postponements are required for Airport Letnany in Prague (originally scheduled for May 28) and San Siro Stadium in Milan (originally scheduled for June 1 and 3).

"New dates for these shows will be announced shortly. Those wishing a refund will be able to obtain it at their original point of purchase. Bruce is recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.”

Bruce Springsteen setlist 2024: Every song he sang at world tour relaunch in Phoenix

Springsteen postponed multiple shows last year during a bout with peptic ulcer disease. The 24 postponed performances have been rescheduled, and more stadium dates in Europe and two shows in the U.S., have been added.

The strength of Springsteen's voice has been noted by fans since the E Street Band's tour resumed March 19 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. The Asbury Park Press wrote that there “were sweetly sustained notes on 'Letter to You,' core-rocking earthy growls on 'Seeds,' and majestic intonations on 'The Promised Land' “ at the April 12 concert at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Springsteen and the E Street Band last played May 22 at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, England, in what reports called a chilly and rainy day. The Boss also sang “Thunder Road” when he received an Ivor Novello Award for songwriting on May 23 in London. The BBC said his voice was “hoarse and squeaky” at the ceremony.

“We came out last night, and I was like, 'What is this weather? Driving rain, wind roaring,’ ” Springsteen said at the event. “But standing in front of me, in the rain, I realized: These are my people.”

Bruce Springsteen has postponed at least four concerts on the E Street Band’s European tour — including last night’s show in Marseille, France — due to vocal issues.

The rocker was scheduled to perform at Orange Vélodrome in Marseille on Saturday, but the gig was postponed at the last minute because of the vocal issues. citing “doctor’s direction.” However, “further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days,” Springsteen’s official social media accounts said in a statement Sunday.

It’s been a rough road since Springsteen and the E Street Band embarked on their tour back in February 2023, with Covid sidelining members of the band from performances early on. In September 2023, the trek hit the brakes completely and all remaining shows were postponed until 2024 as Springsteen battled peptic ulcer disease. However, the 2024 leg went off incident- and ailment-free until this week’s postponement due to “vocal issues.”

Bruce Springsteen has message to fans after postponed shows in Europe: 'We will be back'

On May 27, Bruce Springsteen delivered a video message from France stating that the band will return to the stage on Wednesday, June 12, at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid after postponing four concerts in Europe due to the Boss' “vocal issues.”

“Hey, this is Bruce Springsteen,” he said. “I'm in Marseille. Unfortunately I could not sing for you but we will be back to Marseille, to Prague, and to Milan to give you the show of your life — that I promise you.”

Concerts May 25 in Marseille, France; May 28 in Prague; and June 1 and 3 in Milan were postponed with the consultation of doctors, according to a previous post. Springsteen did not expand on the nature of the vocal issues in his May 27 post.

Bruce Springsteen cancels run of dates over ‘vocal issues’

Bruce Springsteen has cancelled a slew of dates due to “vocal issues”.

The US singer, 74, and his E Street Band had played Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Wednesday, where he admitted previously the weather was particularly wet.

As Springsteen was honoured at London’s Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday, he said: “We just…. came out of the plane in Sunderland last night, (it was) hellacious weather.

“Driving rain storm, the wind blowing, blowing, blowing, and standing… in front of me, in the rain, I realised: These are my people.”

Springsteen also treated the audience to his song Thunder Road, following Sir Paul McCartney presenting him with his Ivors Academy fellowship.

He was previously named the first international songwriter to be inducted into the fellowship before the ceremony took place.

On Saturday, he was forced to postpone a date at Marseille “due to vocal issues”, an Instagram post on his account said with “further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next 10 days”.

His European stadium tour is now set to resume on June 12 in Madrid .

“Additional postponements are required for Airport Letnany in Prague (originally scheduled for May 28) and San Siro Stadium in Milan (originally scheduled for June 1 and 3),” the statement also said.

“New dates for these shows will be announced shortly.

“Those wishing a refund will be able to obtain it at their original point of purchase.

“Bruce is recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.”

Springsteen previously rescheduled dates last year in August in the US after being taken ill and over other issues cancelled planned concerts in March 2023.

His first major tour in six years saw him play a headline gig in London’s Hyde Park in July 2023.
