• Entrance/Tasting fees ranging from $35-60 per person per stop – these fees are mandatory to enter each tasting room.

• All guests must be 21 years or older to take this tour

Good to know

• No wine or alcohol is allowed to be consumed while on the trolley itself.
• All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Tasting fees are mandatory to enter each tasting room. The tasting fees range from $35-60 per person per stop.
• Napa Valley Wine Trolley operates “rain or shine” year-round. However, if there is a chance of rain, high winds, or unforeseen mechanical problems, we may have to substitute the trolley for a mini-bus.

What You’ll See & Do

Climb aboard the original Napa Valley Cable Car Trolley Tour. On this tour you will ride on a San Francisco cable car-style trolley and feel your senses come alive in Napa Valley. Enjoy the warmth of the sun’s rays and the refreshing breeze that blows through the valley. You’ll have the chance to meet other like-minded people on this Napa Valley wine trolley tour. Your guides will keep it fun with their entertaining commentary.

Appreciate the beauty of the natural landscapes; the terraced hills and the never-ending vines. You’ll be treated to the magical aromas of the valley, depending on the season, that may be the sweet tang of freshly harvested grapes or the aroma of Californian sage.

We’ll visit three wineries from our selection of affiliated vineyards, you’ll learn about the growing and winemaking processes as well as trying the finished product. Visit the winery shops and find out more about their other products including olive oil, olives, and even whiskey. Marvel at the Italian and French-inspired architecture of the chateaus and the scenery that surrounds them. At midday, we’ll stop for lunch at one of the selected wineries or urban tasting rooms.

Each tour stops for lunch at Ottimo, a Chef Michael Chiarello Pizza Café and Shop where you will enjoy a Italian Pizza Lunch with options of tasting wines by the glass.  (Food allergies can be accommodated)

We appreciated getting an overview of what to look for and expect on the following days. Paul was a great tour guide and really made the trip even more enjoyable.

The best part was driving around Napa in the open-air trolley and hearing our guide Richard give us facts about the land. It was interesting and very scenic. I can’t imagine doing a wine tour on a bus when you can do this instead!

Great way to see multiple wineries in one day without having to plan meals and all the visits ourselves. Wineries were great, food and wine were amazing, the trolley was a fun way to travel.

Definitely recommend it if you are visiting for the first time. It’s a great way to visit a few wineries worry-free!

It was our first time on the trolley and we highly recommend it. Our driver was Jimmy and he was so nice, funny and knowledgeable. Would definitely go again next time we are in town.

This was such a great tour on Saturday May 14 I would recommend this over the wine train. Jimmy our driver was awesome. He was knowledgeable and fun we will be back

Great way to see Napa and wine taste without having to drive. We got to Oxbow market early to grab a seat on the outside of the trolley. Just beware the trolley drives FAST (like 50mph) for about 30 minutes to the first winery. If you think you might not like riding on the outside of a railcar with no seatbelt at this fast of a speed, sit inside. That said, I loved sitting in the open air and watching the vineyards fly by. ALSO, if you sit outside your hair will whip around- you must bring a hair tie! or your hair will look a mess when you get to the first stop. Lunch was yummy, wines were delicious ($25-30 per tasting so take that into account, however my wife and I shared a tasting at the first and last place so this cut down on cost). Would recommend!

Fun afternoon in Napa on the Wine Trolley!

So much fun! The trolley picked u.s up at our hotel, by far the coolest ride for a wine tour. Our driver was Jay. He was so much fun with great information. Jay also provided a few ideas for restaurants in the area! Our first stop was the castle. This was a great tour and fantastic wine! Our second stop made the Game of Thrones wine and we got to walk around their wine cave. Watch out for bird poop, swallows nest there. Our last stop was a Coppalla property, make due to go upstairs and check out the car!

Sonoma trolley was much better ... less rushed... on the Napa trolley we stopped at Inglenook and did not even give us time for a tasting! Supposed to be back by 5, but driver was heck bent and we were back by 4:30 ... would have had time for tasting at Inglenook (beautiful grounds!!) if he was not in a rush... website says they to not cover tasting fees other than Castle which implies you will be afforded the option. Napa area is beautiful and we will be back, but will ask for details before doing next tour. Wine train next :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tour this past weekend for our anniversary. Lucky for us the rain stopped long enough that our tour wasn't affected. Dylan (guide) had a trainee and both were great making this experience better than expected. The three wineries were all different experiences from each other. I definitely would highly recommend this tour.

Overall this was a great experience. Our guide (Paul) was super nice and they played classic rock which we enjoyed. It's nice to sit outside on the trolley when the weather is nice! Just prepare to get a lot of wind if you sit near the front. The middle section has some windows to help block the wind. The only downside of this is that you can't pick the winery's you go to. I would say 3 out of the 4 we went to we're good. I recommend buying the Sangiovese from Pistoni if you go there. They switch of what winners you go to. I didn't like the wines at Costello however they have good reviews so maybe it's just not my type.

We decided to try the wine trolley instead of the wine train, and we're so glad we did! We stopped at 4 different wineries for wine tasting, which was not only educational , but so much fun, too! Dillon, our driver, was also a wonderful guide, giving us information along the way. Lunch, at one of the wineries, was delicious! I was afraid that it might be cold traveling by the trolley, since we went in the beginning of March, but it wasn't. And, 1/3 of the trolley's seats we enclosed by windows, so there is a place to sit and enjoy the ride during inclement weather. We had a great time and highly recommend the wine trolley!
