LOS ANGELES (AP) — Taylor Swift closed the 2023 U.S. leg of her landmark Eras Tour Wednesday night in Los Angeles in a big way, announcing the fourth edition of her re-recording project: “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”

After playing a few tracks from her “1989” era live, including an abridged take on “Bad Blood,” the pop superstar approached the center of the stage with an acoustic guitar in hand and suggested to the audience that she had been working on something big.

“Instead of just, like, telling you about it, I think I’ll just sort of show you,” she told the crowd as the screen illuminated behind her. “‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ available Oct. 27!” she cheered, pointing out that she was revealing this on the eighth month of the year and the ninth day — a numerical clue.

Then she launched into a surprise performance of the ascendant “1989” track “New Romantics” and the “Reputation”-era piano ballad “New Year’s Day” for the first time during her world tour.

Just last month, Swift released her re-recording of “Speak Now” and soon claimed the record for the woman with the most No. 1 albums in history. The “Taylor’s Version” projects were sparked by music manager Scooter Braun’s purchase and subsequent sale of her early catalog.

Beyond the breaking news, across more than three-and-a-half hours at SoFi Stadium, Swift offered fans a bevy of career-spanning tracks — less a greatest hits collection, and more a live celebration of an artist in her veterancy.

Choreographed easter eggs were frequent. Swift would mimic dance moves from her iconic music videos and crack jokes about her feelings and “women-splaining to men how to apologize to women.”

Openers — and “besties,” as Swift described them — HAIM joined her on stage for the “evermore” cut “no body, no crime.”

Across more than 40 tracks reflecting 17 years of recorded music, it was as if the ground shook with the rapturous sound of 70,000 fans scream-singing along to her hits and deep cuts alike. This was Taylor Swift’s house — filled with fans in light Taylor Swift cosplay (pink dresses for her 2019 album “Lover,” black leather and snakeskin prints for 2017’s “Reputation,” sequins and A-line skirts for 2014’s “1989,” and so on).

Before launching into her “1989” era tracks, Swift performed an emotive single from her “folkore” album, “cardigan.” “When you are young, they assume you know nothing,” she sang, contorting the line in the third verse, “I knew everything when I was young.”

For a performance predicated on returning to the past as well as celebrating the present, it felt like a mission statement. Throughout her career and her many sonic experiments, Swift has been a keen observer of human condition and heartbreak. Even in those early songs about fantasies and fairytales, she demonstrates a kind of pragmatic wisdom. It is why a song she wrote when she was 16 can elicit the same sort of response as one written in her 30s.

And in a summer stacked with superstar tours celebrating giant new releases — like the larger-than-life experiences of Beyoncé's “Renaissance” World Tour and Drake’s 56-date “It Was All a Blur” tour — Taylor Swift’s lookback Eras Tour stands proudly among them.

For fans who desire their beloved artist play the hits — she certainly delivered.

Taylor Swift Announces '1989 (Taylor's Version),' Receives 8-Minute Deafening Standing Ovation at Last L.A. Show

At her final show in Los Angeles for the Eras Tour, the star surprised fans by announcing the upcoming re-release of her '1989' album

She has written cover stories on Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Melissa McCarthy, Blake Shelton, Jordan Turpin and Sandra Oh. The Los Angeles native graduated from the University of Southern California and has appeared on Extra! , The Talk, Access Hollywood and Good Morning America .

Taylor Swift 's fans received the surprise of their wildest dreams at her final Los Angeles Eras Tour show on Wednesday.

During the acoustic portion of her show, the pop superstar — who had sported new costumes in various blue hues (the color palette of her 2014 album 1989 ) throughout the evening — announced the upcoming Oct. 27 re-release of her first Grammy-winning pop album.

"The last time that I was so pleasantly surprised by some stuff that you guys did was when I announced that I was going to be re-recording . That was something that I expected to be just a me thing, just a personal thing. Since I was a teenager, I wanted to own my music," Swift said onstage. "The way to do it was to re-record my albums, and the way that you have embraced ... that you have celebrated, that you really decided that it was your fight too, and that you were 100 percent behind me ... I will never stop thanking you for that."

Kevin Winter/TAS23/Getty

"And so now, here we are on the last night of the U.S. leg of the Eras tour in the eighth month of the year on the ninth day. You might have noticed there are some new outfits in the show. There's something that I've been planning for a really, really, really ridiculously, embarrassingly long time, and instead of telling you about it, I think I'll just sort of show you," she said, unveiling the cover art and release date for 1989 (Taylor's Version) on the big screen before launching into "New Romantics," a fan-favorite track off the deluxe edition of her record.

Minutes later, Swift shared some more details about the upcoming release on her Instagram account. "To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I've ever done because the 5 From the Vault tracks are so insane," she wrote. "I can't believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!"

Earlier in the night, the singer joked with the audience that they would have to "deal with my emotions" surrounding her final show on the current run of her tour. "I don't know if you've heard about this or not, but I have a lot of them," she said. "So here's why: this has been the most extraordinary, fun, wonderful, magical experience of my entire life being on this tour with these people on this stage."

After singing "Champagne Problems" at the piano during the evermore portion of the show, Swift drew a deafening eight-minute-long standing ovation from her fans.

"What are you doing? People have emotions. You're playing with them right now. I love you so much," she said onstage, overwhelmed. "So generous ... you're doing it still? What are you doing? This show's going to be seven hours long because we're going to scream for half of it. I love you, I love you, I love you. That was so nice."

Swift — who sources confirm recently gave bonuses totaling over $55 million to every person working on her shows — kicked off her highly anticipated tour in March , dazzling fans with a 44-song setlist spanning 17 years of her songwriting career.

After announcing the re-release of her 2010 album Speak Now at a May stop, she surprised fans at her July 10 show by bringing out Taylor Lautner, Joey King and Presley Cash onstage after premiering her music video for the vault track "I Can See You."

Throughout the run of her tour, Swift's shows have drawn a slew of famous attendees , including Gigi Hadid , Meghan Markle, Reese Witherspoon , Channing Tatum and more.

Taylor Swift announces ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ at Eras Tour show in Los Angeles

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is a cultural phenomenon. With unprecedented demand, smashed world records and a staggering 44-song setlist, the Eras tour spans Swift’s entire discography, chronicling all the various eras and albums of the Midnights singer’s career.

From the mad scramble to buy tickets that crashed Ticketmaster’s website to guest appearances from the likes of Taylor Lautner, Joey King, Haim and Phoebe Bridgers, Swift brings new surprises for her fans at each stop.

As the first round of Swift’s Eras Tour approaches its last dates in Los Angeles, The Hollywood Reporter has compiled the biggest highlights from the tour so far.

Fans Crash Ticketmaster Presale

A ticketmaster website

Before the Eras Tour even began, it was making history. During the rush to buy tickets after five-plus years of waiting, the retailer site Ticketmaster crumbled, with many experiencing multiple hour-long waits and the majority of fans not being able to secure tickets. According to Ticketmaster, the demand was unprecedented and led to no tickets being available as a part of the general sale. Ticket prices soared above $1,000 for the cheapest seats on the resale market, leading to congressional hearings that included more than a few tongue-in-cheek Swift references.

"22" Hat Giveaways — Selena Gomez’s Sister, Kobe Bryant’s Daughter

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift (L) and NBA player Kobe Bryant speak onstage during The 1989 World Tour Live In Los Angeles at Staples Center on August 21, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

It’s a nightly ritual at the Eras Tour for Swift to gift her black fedora hat to one lucky fan in the audience during her performance of Red hit song “22.” At an Arlington, Texas, show on April 1, Swift stopped to say hello to Selena Gomez’s 9-year-old sister, Gracie, who was in attendance with the Only Murders in the Building star, to exchange the hat for a friendship bracelet. Similarly, during her Thursday night show at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, the Eras performer shared a sweet moment with Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka Bryant. The pair hugged as Swift placed the hat on Bianka’s head.

In 2015, the late Lakers legend joined Swift onstage at the then-Staples Center during her 1989 tour, surprising her with a championship-style banner in honor of her record-breaking 16 sold-out shows at the arena.

'Speak Now (Taylor's Version)' Announced in Nashville

eras tour 1989 tv

At her first Nashville stop on May 5, Swift treated fans to the highly anticipated announcement that album rerelease Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) would drop on July 7. As expected, the artist teased the announcement days before the show, posting a purple heart emoji on social media. Before launching into Speak Now track and surprise song of the night “Sparks Fly,” Swift debuted a first look at the album cover on the big screens of Nissan Stadium, while purple lights lit up the Nashville’s Cumberland River bridge.

“You know how I love to plan things, and how I love to surprise you with the things I plan,” she said onstage. “It’s my love language with you — I plot, I scheme, I plan and I get to tell you about it.”

It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. Haim Takes the Stage for "No Body, No Crime"

Este Haim, Taylor Swift, Danielle Haim and Alana Haim perform onstage during Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at Levi's Stadium on July 28, 2023 in Santa Clara, California.

Swift’s real-life besties from sibling trio band Haim joined the Speak Now singer onstage in Seattle on July 22. Together, the friends performed their Evermore collab “No Body, No Crime,” marking the first live performance of the song on the Eras Tour. With the girl band announced as one of the opening acts for the tour, fans expected Haim to appear at least once to perform alongside Swift.

Ice Spice Collabs With Swift on "Karma" Remix

Ice Spice and Taylor Swift perform onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at MetLife Stadium on May 27, 2023 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

On the day she released the Midnights album extended version The Til Dawn Edition , Swift brought out one of her newest collaborators Ice Spice onto New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium stage. The rapper, who features on a remix edition of Midnights hit song “Karma,” joined Swift onstage to perform her verse and close out the show for three nights in a row.

Phoebe Bridgers Performs Vault Track "Nothing New" While Opening for Swift

Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift perform onstage during night two of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at Nissan Stadium on May 06, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Across the Nashville, Philadelphia, Massachusetts and New Jersey legs of the tour, Phoebe Bridgers joined Swift as not only an opening act, but also a stage partner. With acoustic guitars in hand, Bridgers and Swift took to the Eras stage multiple times to perform their fan-favorite vault track from Red (Taylor’s Version) , “Nothing New.” On Bridgers’ final night on the tour at MetLife, the friends shared heartfelt goodbyes on stage. “You are my hero,” Bridgers told Swift onstage, with Swift responding: “Thank you for being the friend that you’ve been to me.”

“Long Live” Is Added to the Set List

Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at SoFi Stadium on August 03, 2023 in Inglewood, California.

After the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) , fan-favorite song “Long Live” off the album entered the set list. Presumably, until that point Swift had previously avoided performing too many songs off of Speak Now so as not to promote any tracks owned by Scooter Braun.

"I Can See You" Video Drops With Special Guest Appearances: Taylor Lautner, Presley Cash and Joey King

(L-R) Presley Cash, Taylor Swift, Joey King and Taylor Lautner speak onstage for night one of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on July 07, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The hit single off Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) was the new “From the Vault” track “I Can See You,” which became a radio hit and charted on Billboard. To announce the music video she directed for the track, Swift brought out the video’s stars, including ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner along with Presley Cash and Joey King, on stage at the Eras Tour in Kansas City. Lautner performed a backflip, a nod to his scene with Swift in the 2010 film Valentine’s Day. “He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name,” said Swift onstage during the video announcement.

Two Surprise Songs at Each Show

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour

Every single stop of the tour, Taylor Swift has performed two surprise songs that are unique to that tour stop, only repeating a handful of tracks from amongst her vast discography. Fans have tracked the songs online via Twitter — even maintaining complex spread sheets — hoping to get one of their favorites that isn’t a part of the main set list as a “surprise song.” Highlights have included “Hits Different,” “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” “Our Song,” “Tim McGraw” and many more.

Taylor Swift Fans Cause an Earthquake

Guests attend the "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at SoFi Stadium on August 03, 2023 in Inglewood, California.

At the Eras Tour stop in Seattle, fans partied so hard they caused the equivalent of a small earthquake . This rivaled Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch’s “Beast Quake” from 2011, thought Swift came out as the clear winner when measured on the Richter scale.

Taylor Swift Announces ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’

Taylor Swift performs onstage of "Taylor Swift The Eras Tour"

On the last night of the first leg of her U.S. tour, Swift revealed that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will release Oct. 27. Throughout her performance at sixth night of Eras Tour shows at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, the singer teased the announcement by wearing several blue outfits to celebrate the occasion. Following the announcement, fans were treated to 1989 track “New Romantics.” The rerecorded version will feature 21 songs, including five previously unreleased songs from The Vault as described on Swift’s website.

“Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you,” Swift wrote on social media. “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”

Taylor Swift finishes US leg of Eras Tour by announcing 1989 re-record

Taylor Swift's re-recorded version of 1989 will come out in October this year.

Taylor Swift has finished the US leg of The Eras Tour with the announcement of the release date of her re-recorded fifth studio album, 1989.

Fans at the SoFi Stadium in California were sent into meltdown as the megastar made the surprise announcement during the “surprise song” section of the show.

It marks the end of the US leg of the tour before Swift embarks on international dates – including three nights at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield stadium in June next year.

Swift has been gradually re-recording all of her first six albums after her original masters were sold to private-equity group Ithaca Holdings, an entity owned by powerhouse music manager Scooter Braun.

Announcing 1989 (Taylor’s Version), she said: “We’re in the eight month, in the ninth day.”

The screens behind Swift then showed the album cover for 1989 (Taylor’s Version) which will be available from October 27.

The Eras Tour, which kicked off in March this year, has run over three hours as Swift goes back through her extensive catalogue, dividing the shows into sections for each album.

During the final US show, Swift went on to thank members of The Eras Tour production crew as well as her support act and “best friends” – rock trio Haim.

The setlists have combined her hit songs and two tracks unique to each performance – keeping the setlist fresh for fans.

Swift is the first artist ever to sell out six performances in a row at SoFi, which was the venue for the 2022 Super Bowl.

Fans at The Eras Tour shows have been encouraged to bring and trade handmade friendship bracelets, with thousands posting their exchanges online in previous days.

Big Hollywood names have also been seen sharing bracelets and enjoying the California shows including Channing Tatum, Cameron Diaz, Hilary Duff, Brie Larson, Elizabeth Banks and Amy Adams.

Swift’s final show at SoFi on Wednesday comes a day after she once again dominated nominations at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

She picked up a total of eight nominations, including seven for her Anti-Hero music video as well as a nod in the artist of the year category.

Swift will now take a break before taking The Eras Tour to Mexico and South America, before returning to the US for further dates in October.

Every Hint Taylor Swift Will Announce ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ at Her Final U.S. ‘Eras Tour’ Concert

Taylor Swift About to Announce 1989 TV at Her Last Eras Show

Taylor Swift is about to wrap up her run of six sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles — and fans are convinced she’ll be celebrating with a very special announcement.

Swift has been making her way through the rerecordings — and rereleases — of her first six albums since her masters were sold to Scooter Braun in 2019. After dropping both Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021, Swift announced the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’s in May, dropping the album two months later while on the road.

In her most recent music video for her single “I Can See You” — a vault track off Speak Now (TV) — a traffic sign can be seen that reads “I-9 89 TV” as she jumps in a van and speeds away down the road. The imagery has led fans to believe 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be the next re-recorded album to drop — especially because Swift is known for being a mastermind of subtle hints.

“I love to communicate through Easter eggs,” she told Entertainment Weekly in 2019. “I think the best messages are cryptic ones … You know when you plan something that far in advance, you’re kind of just flexing on planning. That’s what an Easter egg really does.”

Now, however, it seems more and more likely that Swift will announce 1989 TV before even wrapping up the U.S. leg of her tour on Wednesday, August 9. From Starbucks Lovers playlists to surprise songs and suspicious color coding, we may be out of the woods — and closer to her next album release — than we think.

Keep scrolling for every hint that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be announced at Swift’s August 9 concert:

Starbucks Lovers

When Swift released 1989 in 2014, her second single off the album, “Blank Space,” left many fans confused by its lyrics. While Swift sings “Got a long list of ex-lovers” during the chorus, many heard “Starbucks lovers” instead.

Swift later confessed that even her mother, Andrea Swift , heard the lyric incorrectly. “‘Hahah it really does sound like Starbucks lovers…’ -my mom just now who is SUPPOSED TO BE ON MY SIDE Smh,” Swift wrote via Twitter in May 2015.

Now, Starbucks is using the hilarious confusion to seemingly promote the upcoming release of Swift’s  1989 re-recording. The iconic coffee company s rolling out a 122-song playlist of her music for use as a soundtrack inside its U.S. company-operated stores. The title of the playlist? Starbucks Lovers, of course.

While some believe it is just a way of celebrating the singer wrapping up the first leg of her Eras Tour , other fans think the direct reference to a 1989 lyric hints Swift will announce 1989 (Taylor’s Version) during her last L.A. performance.

New Romantics

Throughout the U.S. leg of the Eras Tour , Swift has played two surprise songs for audiences per concert – and has rarely repeated any of them twice. By the time she hits the stage for her final stop in Los Angeles on August 9, there will only be one 1989 song the pop star hasn’t sung live: “New Romantics.”

The tune, which was a bonus track on the deluxe version of the album, is an anthem fans believe would be the perfect song to play before announcing the rerelease of 1989 TV .

“‘Cause baby, I could build a castle / Out of all the bricks they threw at me / And every day is like a battle / But every night with us is like a dream,” Swift belts on the synth-heavy bop. “Baby, we’re the new romantics / Come on, come along with me / Heartbreak is the national anthem / We sing it proudly / We are too busy dancing / To get knocked off our feet / Baby, we’re the new romantics / The best people in life are free.”

It’s Blue, the Feeling We Got

Eagle-eyed fans who attended Swift’s fifth show at SoFi stadium in Los Angeles on Tuesday, August 8, noticed that the crowd’s bracelets continuously blinked blue after Swift left the stage — something that has seemingly never happened at previous concerts. Blue has been the designated “ 1989 Era color” since Swift began the process of her re-releases, leaving some to believe it is an Easter egg that her announcement will drop on August 9.

Any fan of Swift knows the singer is a big fan of numbers when it comes to dropping Easter eggs – and every decision she makes is for a reason. Choosing to end the first leg of her Eras Tour on August 9 — a.k.a. 8/9 — so that it aligns with the album title 1989 (Taylor’s Version) feels suspiciously like something Blondie would do.

A true “mastermind”: Unpacking 13 of Taylor Swift’s “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” Easter eggs

Collage of Taylor Swift in a blue dress on stage, singing and playing the guitar

On Aug. 9, 2023, Taylor Swift announced the release date of her re-recorded album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” during the final show of the Eras Tour’s first U.S. leg. Many already saw it coming.

Taylor Swift’s fans are infamous for being Swifties by day and detectives by night, diligently following the trails of clues that Swift sprinkles to her album announcements. Her most dedicated fans know her all too well — the global pop star loves to leave Easter eggs for her big announcements and, months after Swift’s May 5 announcement of her last re-recording, “Speak Now,” fans were getting suspicious that the next re-recording would be just around the corner. So, as Swifties continued to pick up clues about the long-anticipated release of “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” they started to take note of everything.

Here’s a crash course on understanding Swift’s Easter eggs: Her favorite number is 13, as she explained in an interview with MTV as early as 2009. “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro.”

“1989” is the fifth out of her discography of 10 albums, and is associated with the color blue. Entertainment journalist Jason Pham writes that not only does “Swift wear a blue sweater on the original 1989 cover,” but “1989” is also the polar opposite of its preceding album, “Red.” With songs such as “All Too Well” and “We are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Red” is about heartbreak and angst, while “1989” exudes fun, friendship and new beginnings with songs like “Shake It Off” and “New Romantics.”

As a Swiftie myself, I follow the Eras Tour and her Easter eggs like it’s my favorite sport, as Swift joked during her Aug. 4 show that I attended. Here are 13 of the many Easter eggs for “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” that Swifties, myself included, noticed leading up to Swift’s announcement:

1. On July 28, Swift’s management team, @taylornation, posted an Instagram picture of Swift wearing a blue dress with a dreamy, Los Angeles background. The caption, “the air is getting pretty salty… 🌊,” referenced Swift’s song “august” — also the month that she ultimately announced “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” The blue tones of the photo also alluded to the album’s associated color.

2. On July 31, SoFi Stadium posted on Instagram about welcoming Swift to Los Angeles ahead of her six sold out shows, leaving fans nine days to put together the pieces of the puzzle. On the second slide of the post, the pictured lifeguard stand was labeled with “1989” and “Taylor’s Version,” causing Swifties to feel confident about filling in this blank space . At this point, many fans were certain Swift would announce this album while touring in Los Angeles.

3. On Aug. 2, Taylor Nation posted a video of a wall in Los Angeles featuring Spotify’s “My Top 5 Taylor Swift’s Eras” campaign. As many comments on this Instagram post suggest, the intentional selection of the number “5” felt suspicious, as “1989” is Swift’s fifth album.

4. In the final scene of her music video for “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” bonus track “I Can See You,” Taylor drives away from a museum heist in a getaway car . As the car passes under a bridge, a clearance sign at the top of the bridge can be seen reading “1989 TV.”

5. Similarly, at 0:16 in her “Karma” music video from the “Midnights” album, Swift is shown standing on a pedestal engraved at the base with subtle Roman numerals for “1989.”

6. On Aug. 8, Swift replaced her typical “Midnights” outfit with a new bodysuit mirroring the one that she’d worn during her “1989” tour in 2015. Swift’s fashion certainly never goes out of style .

7. Swift announced the big news on the last day of the first U.S. leg, which was Aug. 9 — or 8/9, conveniently mirroring the latter half of the album title, “1989.” Aug. 9 also happens to be eight years, nine months and 13 days from when she originally released “1989,” and it had also been 13 weeks since Swift announced her previous re-recorded album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” As if this doesn’t show that Swift is a mastermind already, Aug. 9, 2023 also marks 3,208 days since the original “1989” was first released. The four numbers in 3,208 sum to 13.

8. Swift also plays on the number 19, the first half of the album title: Los Angeles was the 19th stop of the first U.S. leg, with Glendale, Arizona being the very first night.

9. On Aug. 9, the day of the announcement, Taylor Nation made fans itching for the answer even more with another cryptic Instagram post: “53 shows, 20 cities, 10 Eras, 5 months, and 1 thing’s for sure…” Of course, Swifties were fast to add these numbers up and realize that they summed to 89. At this point, Swifties could not calm down .

10. That same day, Swift replaced her typical Eras Tour outfits for the “1989,” “Speak Now,” “folklore,” “Midnights” and acoustic sets with monochromatic blue outfits. As Swift sings in “Delicate,” Oh damn, never seen that color blue — which certainly was true, as these outfits had previously matched the colors of their respective albums instead.

A true "mastermind": Unpacking 13 of Taylor Swift's "1989 (Taylor's Version)" Easter eggs

11. The night before the announcement, attendees’ light-up bracelets had flashed in blue five times after the concert. At this point, most of the stadium knew what was going on already — five times for the fifth album, and blue as the album’s symbolic color. Her fans could certainly see it with the lights out .

12. Moments before Swift announced the big news to the attendees at the tour, fans noticed that Swift’s website had been updated to fit the “1989” aesthetic, with shades of pastel blues and beachy imagery replacing the “Midnights” layout from before, seagulls flying across the page to greet website visitors. At this point, it was clear that Swift gave so many signs .

13. Every night, Swift performs two surprise songs from her discography during the acoustic set of the show. Besides making the friendship bracelets and tasting the moment , Swifties attending and following the tour also find joy in tracking the surprise songs that Swift has yet to perform. The day of the announcement, Swift had just one song left unperformed from “1989″: “New Romantics,” which many consider to be the anthem of the album. At this point, her fans were convinced that Swift was saving this song for Aug. 9, the last day of the tour’s first leg. Of course, they were right, as Swift performed this song as one of the surprise songs that night. As the lyrics in “New Romantics” suggest, “ The rumors are terrible and cruel / But honey, most of them are true. ” In this case, the “1989” rumors certainly were.

Taylor Swift’s “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” comes out on Oct. 27, 2023, exactly nine years after her original release of “1989” in 2014. Along with millions of other Swifties, I’m already counting down the days until she releases the album, but… who’s counting ?

Taylor Swift Reveals ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ As Next Re-Recorded Album

Taylor Swift is reliving 1989 all over again. Her latest entry in the “Taylor’s Version” re-recording series is her 2014 album , which includes three Number One singles — “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” and “Bad Blood” — and fan favorites like “Out of the Woods” and “Clean.”

Swift announced that she would be releasing 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on Oct. 27 — exactly nine years after the original came out on Oct. 27, 2014 — on Wednesday during the year’s last U.S. leg of the Eras Tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you 🔜! The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done… pic.twitter.com/JFYOWhBxhj — Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) August 10, 2023

Prior to the reveal, Swift took the stage in previously unworn blue dresses including a blue gown during her performance of “Enchanted,” a new blue outfit during Folklore era, and a shimmering cobalt dress during her acoustic set, hinting at the announcement.

Swift also teased that 1989 would be her next re-recording in her “ I Can See You ” video from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) , which released on July 7. At the end of the visual, a sign on a bridge read “1′ 9″ 9.9tv.” She also performed “I Know Places” as a surprise song during Tuesday night’s show.

‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’: Vault Track Titles and Everything Else We Know About Taylor Swift’s Upcoming Re-Record

All five vault track titles for '1989 (Taylor's Version)' were revealed on Sept. 20. Here's everything we know so far about the highly-anticipated album.

taylor swift

  • Taylor Swift is re-recording and re-releasing her first six albums to earn back the rights to her masters.
  • She has already released her own versions of  Fearless, Speak Now and  Red , and announced that  1989 will be coming on Oct. 27.
  • The five vault track titles for 1989: Taylor’s Version were revealed on September 20.

Taylor Swift took the stage in Los Angeles on Aug. 9 for her Eras Tour and confirmed that her next album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be coming out on October 27. Over a month later, Taylor revealed all five of her vault track titles after she had fans unscramble word clues on Google. The singer has been gifting fans with new and never-before-heard music like crazy over the last few years, and she doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. In three years, she’s released three brand new albums ( Midnights , Folklore and  Evermore ), as well as three re-recorded versions of her old albums  Fearless, Speak Now and  Red , so she can reclaim the rights to them. Although  Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) just came out on July 7, Taylor is already diving into the next era.

The timing of making the 1989 announcement was too perfect, as Taylor closed out the first U.S. leg of her Eras Tour on Aug. 9, which just so happens to be 8/9. The concert wrapped a six show run at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Because of this milestone, coupled with the ‘8/9’ date, fans were wondering for weeks if the singer would be announcing 1989 (Taylor’s Version ) at the show — and she delivered. Earlier this year, she confirmed the release date for  Speak Now (Taylor’s Version ) at a different Eras Tour concert.

Here’s everything we know about 1989 (Taylor’s Version ) so far

‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ Release Date

The release date for 1989 (Taylor’s Version ) is October 27, 2023. Ahead of the announcement, Taylor dropped plenty of hits that it would be the next of her six re-recorded albums to come out. On July 7, she released the music video for her  Speak Now (Taylor’s Version ) song “I Can See You,” and it concluded with a BIG  1989 Easter egg. As Taylor drove away at the end of the video, there was a sign above a bridge that said “1989 TV.” Fans took this as Taylor’s way of letting them know that  1989 would be coming next.

1989 was the fifth album in Taylor’s original repertoire and there have also been plenty of “5” hints recently. In the “I Can See You” video, five security guards chased down  Joey King and  Taylor Lautner as they tried to rescue Taylor and symbolically help her reclaim her work. Back in October, when Taylor released the music video for “ Bejeweled ,” her character rode an elevator and got off on floor 3 first (signifying album 3,  Speak Now , as the next release). However, she then rode the elevator up to floor 5, hinting that album 5, 1989 , would be after that.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift)

The music video for “Karma,” which was released in May 2023, also provided a  1989 hint. At the time of its premiere, the date for  Speak Now (Taylor’s Version ) had already been announced, so there was no more hints needed about that record. The “Karma” video featured Taylor posing as a statue with the roman numeral MCMLXXXIX written on it. Yes, this translates to ‘1989.’

Then, at the August 9 show of her Eras Tour in Los Angeles, she made multiple changes to the set that further hinted at the 1989 ( Taylor’s Version ) release. During the show, she rocked four never-before-worn outfits, and they were all blue. During the Speak Now, Folklore and  1989 eras, as well as for the surprise songs of the evening, Taylor’s looks were different than we’d ever seen before, as they were all blue for the first time. It wasn’t coincidental, either, because it coincided with the announcement!

‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ Tracklist

With all of her re-records, Taylor has included new versions of every original track from the records, so the first part of the tracklist is easily predictable. Although 1989 hasn’t come out yet, fans have gotten a sneak peek at what to expect, as Taylor has dropped the re-recorded versions of “ Wildest Dreams ” and “This Love” already.

The fun doesn’t end there, though. She’s also dived back “into the vault” of songs that didn’t make each album the first time around. Taylor re-recorded these (mostly) never-before-heard vault tracks from each era, as well, and included those on the Taylor’s Versions of her albums.  Fearless (TV)  and Speak Now (TV) both had six vault tracks, while  Red had seven, as well as three other tracks that weren’t on the original version of  Red . Ahead of the  1989 (TV) release, Taylor’s website confirmed that there would be five vault tracks on the  1989 re-record, in addition to the 16 songs from the original album.

Taylor revealed all five of the vault tracks with help from Google on Sept. 20. The “Swifties” were challenged with an internet scavenger hunt where they had to unscramble word clues to uncover the titles of four of the vault tracks. Those four songs were revealed to be “Is It Over Now?”, “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” and “Suburban Legends.” Taylor revealed that the fifth vault track is called “Slut!”

Here’s the full track list for 1989: Taylor’s Version:

  • “Welcome To New York (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “Blank Space” (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “Style” (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “Out Of The Woods (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “All You Had To Do Was Stay (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “Shake It Off (Taylor’s Version)”

  • “How You Get The Girl (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “This Love (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “I Know Places (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “Clean” (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “Wonderland (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “You Are In Love (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “New Romantics (Taylor’s Version)”
  • “Slut! (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”
  • “Say Don’t Go (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”
  • “Now That We Don’t Talk (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”
  • “Suburban Legends (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”
  • “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)”

Who Are The Songs On ‘1989’ About?

As always, we have to reiterate that Taylor never confirms who her songs are about. However, there are plenty of hints that point to  Harry Styles being her main muse for the  1989 album. The two dated in 2012 and beginning of 2013, which lines up perfectly with the Oct. 2014 release date of 1989 . One of the most obvious references, of course, is track three, “Style,” which is a literal play on Harry’s last name.

The songs “I Know Places” and “Out Of The Woods” both tell a similar tale about a relationship that seems like it could be doomed from the start. However, the song’s subjects are willing to fight the scrutiny to try to make it work, even if they know it will end badly. Unsurprisingly, Taylor and Harry were the subject of intense media attention during their relationship, and were constantly trying to get away from the eyes that were on them. “Out Of The Woods” actually makes two VERY direct references to Harry, as Taylor sings about his “paper airplane” necklace and the stitches he got on his forehead after a snowmobiling accident when they were together.

taylor swift

Meanwhile, “All You Had To Do Was Stay” and “I Wish You Would” reference the ending and reconnecting in a relationship. In the former, Taylor calls out her lover for leaving her and then trying to come back into her life. But, in the latter, after some time has gone by, she admits that she wishes he would be part of her life again. This reflects the on and off cycle of Taylor and Harry’s relationship, as it’s rumored that they had a fling in early 2012 before publicly getting together at the end of that year. On “This Love,” she sings about resurrecting an old romance, as well.

These days, Taylor and Harry are on great terms. They were even seen chatting at the Grammy Awards in both 2023 and 2021 . Some fans are even speculating that Harry could pop up as a featured artist on one of the  1989 vault songs!

Of course, not all of the songs are about Mr. Styles! “Bad Blood” was written about a feud with  Katy Perry , but the ladies have since squashed their beef . “Blank Space” is a play on all of the media attention that Taylor’s love life gets, and her way of mocking the fake stories about her romances. The album’s lead single, “Shake It Off,” is a dance track, where Taylor sings about shaking off her haters. Meanwhile, “You Are In Love” was inspired by Taylor’s co-writer,  Jack Antonoff , and his relationship with  Lena Dunham (the two have since broken up).

You Missed These Easter Eggs on the Eras Tour

Portrait of Alejandra Gularte

After scrapping the two-city Lover Fest in 2020 due to the pandemic, Taylor Swift has taken the Swift Show back on the road for the Eras Tour, her first trek in five years. Each performance is a journey through the pop star’s, well, eras, with a 44-song set list pulling from all ten of her studio albums. A 146-stop worldwide Swift road trip also means so many Easter eggs. And everything is in play: The glittery costumes, the over-the-top props, the elaborate stage design, and even the dance moves hide clues about future projects (or nods to an earlier part of her career, depending which theory you choose). Since it can be difficult to spot them all during a three-plus-hour concert, whether there in person (probably weeping), following along afar through fuzzy TikToks, or through the cinematic experience of the Eras Tour film , we’re keeping an ongoing list of every Swiftian hint we’ve found from the mastermind herself.

Are the Swift dancers in on the Easter eggs?

Swifties (and obviously Swift herself) aren’t the only ones at the show dressed like old versions of Taylor — her dancers are too. During “ Look What You Made Me Do ,” Swift’s onstage crew are made to look like past versions of the pop star (a concept pulled from the song’s music video), with new additions like Folklore, Evermore, and Lover joining the party. However, the homage doesn’t come without a few tinfoil-hat theories for future rerecordings. During the performance, Swift walks over to a glass box holding the Speak Now dancer and unsuccessfully tries to break them out, which foreshadowed the Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) announcement that arrived in early May. But do the other dancers hint at the rerecording after Speak Now ? Three of the 12 dancers are in costumes inspired by 1989 a.k.a. the latest re-release (the “Shake It Off” cheerleader, the “I Know Places”/”All You Had to Do Was Stay” tour look, and the “Welcome to New York” tour look).

Those “22” shirts are burning red

The first two shows in Glendale, Arizona, had Swifties wondering whether their girl was leaving hidden messages in her own outfits. She wears a shirt that reads “A lot going on at the moment,” a variation on her lockdown-era Instagram caption “ Not a lot going on at the moment .” She wears another that reads “Who’s Taylor Swift anyway? Ew.” Both shirts had letters bolded in red (“A lot” on the former; “Ew” on the latter), which made fans like TheThriftieSwiftie wonder if the red letters would eventually spell out “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” Alas, we never found out, as the  Speak Now TV  news arrived before she got to finish. But maybe Swift will use this theory as an idea for a future announcement?

Is Taylor hinting at more than just Speak Now (TV) and 1989 (TV) ?

When Swift announced Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on May 5 and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on August 9, Swifties hoped for one final surprise to end the year of Swift. While they didn’t get the reputation (Taylor’s Version) announcement in Brazil, maybe something will happen when the tour kicks off in Tokyo in February 2024. After all, it is the setting for the “ End Game ” music video.

What’s up with the numbers 7 and 11?

Swifties know that every single detail with Swift is meticulously planned, and that includes her nails. TikToker JessByAThousandCuts recently noticed that after the tour’s 11th show, Taylor changed the color of her Lover- themed nails from pink to orange — and has since kept it that way. Dare we say it’s … Karma orange for her rumored 11th album? Plus, Swift is not so subtly hiding that specific nail color in her Instagram video promoting Speak Now (TV) . It was also in plain sight during the Eras Tour movie . So, how does seven play into this? Lover was Swift’s seventh album — and the first one she owned — and “Karma” is the seventh song on Midnights. And (stick with us) in the final song of the tour, Swift dances as a giant orange door descends behind her . She also dances on an orange tile during “Vigilante Shit” while the other dancers are on white tiles.

What does the lack of Debut Taylor mean?

Each Swift set list includes two surprise songs, one played on acoustic guitar and the other on piano. Opening night in Glendale Swift City saw “Mirrorball” and “Tim McGraw,” leading fans to believe that the latter was on the permanent setlist. However, the second night of the tour featured no Taylor Swift songs. In fact, she’s only returned to her debut a handful of times since then (for a total of 11 performances off her first record). So what does the lack of Taylor mean? Could a separate tour made entirely of her first album be on the way? Or perhaps a special similar to the Folklore: Long Pond Sessions on Disney+?

Don’t trust the set list online

Swift is refusing to let spoilers or live streams disappoint any future fans still waiting for their concert. After the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), Swift added “Long Live” to the Speak Now section. She plays her Koi fish guitar as her original band members join her on stage. But that’s not the only permanent setlist change on tour. During the first night in Arlington, Texas at the beginning of the tour, instead of playing “invisible string,” Swift replaced it with another Folklore track, “the one.” “You think you can just scroll and know the setlist, you think you can come prepared,” said Swift on the setlist change. That wasn’t the only change in Texas; she opted for a new shirt during “22,” this time with the lyrics for “ We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together .” While fans are seeing if the new red letters are spelling out a secret message, we’re trying to figure out how many songs, choreography, costumes, and graphics Swift prepared if she continues with setlist changes throughout the tour.

Right now, we’re at 45, not including the surprise songs she sings solo. And during the first night with Phoebe Bridgers as an opener, the two surprised the crowd with “Nothing New,” temporarily adding another track to the 45-song-long set list. Plus, Haim helped Swift replace “’tis the damn season” with “no body no crime” during their West Coast shows. Maybe Hayley Williams will do the same with “Castles Crumbling” when Paramore opens the European leg of the tour.

What’s happening to surprise songs in 2024?

In Brazil, Swift explained that she’s resetting the surprise song counter, as she’s played 125 surprise songs during the first year of the tour. “I decided that in 2024, when we go back out on tour, I’m just gonna open back up all the songs for surprise songs,” she said during her final show of 2023. “Because for one year, we’ve really gone through a lot of songs. All the songs are fair game.” Does this mean we have to power through more devastating losses (looking at you, “RWYLM”)? Yes, but we will power through them together .

Can we predict the pairings of future surprise songs?

After night four of the Eras Tour, fans began to notice that the surprise songs were connected thematically. “Mirrorball” and “Tim McGraw” are about the legacy you leave with someone once you’re gone; “A Place in This World”and “Today Was a Fairytale” are about feeling like you’re in your own little world with the one you love; and “Mean” and “mad woman” are about people sucking and that it’s okay to be mad about it. So what does this say about future pairings? Will we get a “Red” and “Maroon” night? Or will she play an all-Mayer grouping of “Dear John” and “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve”? (I’m personally hoping for a post-breakup “Question …” and “Out of the Woods” moment.) Swift said she’s going to repeat past songs in 2024, so anything is fair game.

The return of the hand hearts

During the Fearless and Speak Now era, Swift would hold up a hand heart in the air to her audience. She’s brought the gesture back for the Eras Tour — an Easter egg for the OG fans who remember teenage Taylor.

She’s gonna burn this house to the ground

In the Midnights era, Swift confirmed a theory after liking a TikTok post that said the dark night surrounding the Lover house is represented by Midnights , marking the house complete with her discography. However, Swift takes it a step further during her performance of “Bad Blood,” lighting the Lover house to the ground while finishing out the show’s 1989 section. Could this mean all of her rerecordings are finished and ready to go? Maybe Swift is preparing to take a break from music after the rerecording to focus on her film career. This could also just be an homage to “Ivy” (“He’s going to burn this house to the ground”) as it is not a part of the permanent setlist, but the idea of having all the re-recordings by the end of 2024 sounds more fun.

Making the whole place shimmer

Swift paid homage to Mikael Arellano’s “Bejeweled” TikTok dance by including moves during the song on tour, sticking to her promise that she’s listening to her fans about what they want to see. She even invited Arellano to some of the Philadelphia shows and gifted him the “22” hat , which he wore to do the “Bejeweled” dance.

Can you watch the Eras Tour at home?

Sure, you can watch the live show from a grainy livestream, but you’ll have to wait until February 2024 for the tour to start again. Beginning on December 13, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be available to rent for $19.89 on digital streaming services. Several songs were removed in the original theatrical run made their return in the streaming version (“Long Live,” “The Archer,” and “Wildest Dreams”). “No Body No Crime” and “cardigan” are still no where to be seen in HD.

Do the elaborate stage design and costumes hint at Swift’s future film?

eras tour 1989 tv

This is a stretch, but I’m all about flexing the Taylor conspiracy muscles. Swift’s stage for the Eras Tour is an incredible mix of larger-than-life props, including large pine trees for Evermore and the Folklore cabin. But we must not forget that Swift is going to be a director of a feature-length film. Will her movie have fantastical production designs and settings, similar to how she sets the stage at her concerts? Will the film have sparkly costumes with hidden meanings? While she has not revealed the title or plot of the movie, maybe she’s been telling us about it all along.

Taylor Swift adds 7 new songs to her Eras Tour — plus all the other changes she's made to the show

"The Tortured Poets Department" has officially joined the setlist.

eras tour 1989 tv

Taylor Swift is fresh out the slammer, and right back into the Eras Tour grind.

Swifties everywhere had been anticipating her Thursday show in Paris because it's the first concert of her worldwide tour since the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , which dropped on April 19. Since she first announced the record, fans have wondered if she would incorporate it into her nearly three-and-a-half-hour Eras performances, and what songs may get cut or changed to accommodate it.

Speculation went into overdrive recently when Swift posted a YouTube Short of herself preparing for the tour that included what looks like a new mic, set pieces, and choreography — strongly implying that the first major changes to Eras were imminent.

Swift has made small tweaks to the show, like adding "Long Live" to the "Speak Now" section when that re-recorded album came out during the tour, or swapping out "Invisible String" for the "The 1" in the "Folklore" set in the wake of her breakup with Joe Alwyn . But adding a whole new era would be the most seismic shift yet, and all eyes were on the City of Light to see if and how the singer-songwriter did it.

So, come one, come all, [the Eras Tour] is happening again — and Entertainment Weekly has highlighted all of its changes below.

"Tortured Poets" added to the intro mash-up

While the introduction to the first Era of the evening, "Lover," remained largely the same, the audio that plays before Swift takes the stage — which includes snippets from all of the show's featured albums — boasted a short bit from her new song "The Tortured Poets Department," off her latest album of the same name. The singer also debuted a new orange-tinted bodysuit and matching jacket during the first era.

"The Archer" cut from the "Lover" set

The "Lover" set used to end with "The Archer" and go straight into Swift's "Fearless" era, but no more. Now the set ends after "Lover." But its stunning transition with the sparkler effect is still intact.

A new "Fearless" dress

Swift donned a shimmery fringe dress in her second album's era.

The set order changed!

Instead of "Fearless" giving way to the "Evermore" era, Swift transitioned to the "Red" set — though the music box mime that previously kicked off the era is still in the show. This was the first indication of the night that major changes were coming to the tour, and it meant the entire performance will now unfold in a different order. The new order is:

"Lover" "Fearless" "Red" "Speak Now" "Reputation" "Folklore + Evermore" "1989" "The Tortured Poets Department" Surprise songs "Midnights"

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty

"Red" got some updates

Swift debuted a new shirt during the top of the "Red" set that reads: "This IS NOT Taylor's Version." She also made remarks to the crowd before performing the 10-minute version of "All Too Well." Previously, she engaged with the audience like this during the "Evermore" era.

"Speak Now" got new visuals, but "Long Live" got cut

The era for Swift's third LP, Speak Now , began with a new, prolonged choreographed number accompanying instrumentals from the album before the singer eventually showed up (in a new ballgown, naturally) to sing "Enchanted." The visuals on the big screen were also new — but still very purple, of course.

However, fan-favorite Speak Now track "Long Live" did not survive this set, meaning "Enchanted" is now the sole song for this era.

"Folklore" and "Evermore" were combined

Featuring an updated intro with tweaked visuals and instrumentals, the "Folklore" set also started with a completely different song. Previously, the era began with Swift atop a cabin singing "The 1," but now she kicks things off with "Cardigan." But Swift — who also wore a new yellow dress for the set — still gave a little speech before performing "Betty." Instead of going right into "The Last Great American Dynasty," however, she revealed another twist: The eras for her 2020 sister albums, Folklore and Evermore, have officially been combined. She then proceeded to play "Cardigan."

The setlist for this new sister era is: "Cardigan" "Betty" "Champagne Problems" "August" "Illicit Affairs" "My Tears Ricochet" "Marjorie" "Willow"

This means the following songs were cut from the "Folklore" and "Evermore" sections: "'Tis the Damn Season," "Tolerate It," "The 1," and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

A new 'fit for "1989"

The singer debuted a new multicolor separate set for this era, complete with mismatched shoes.

"The Tortured Poets Department" makes its Eras debut

After "1989," new literary-themed visuals floated on the big screen, paving the way for the first new era of the tour: "The Tortured Poets Department." Naturally, this meant brand-new choreography and costumes, as well as black-and-white visuals throughout — of a haunted house, alien spaceships, and the asylum from the "Fortnight" music video . The platform on the stage also seemed to move around the set in ways we haven't seen before as the singer performed on top of it. At one point, Swift was picked up off the ground and forced to change on stage as circus-type music played in the background. She then segued this into "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart," which featured several old Hollywood motifs and choreography involving top hats and canes. The "The Tortured Poets Department" setlist includes:

"But Daddy I Love Him" and "So High School" mash-up "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" "Down Bad," which segued into "Fortnight" "Fortnight" "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart"

Surprise songs

Nothing changed in this section of the tour besides Swift donning a new magenta dress. But she performed "Paris" on guitar and the TTPD track "Loml" on piano, officially confirming that the new album could be performed in the acoustic set from here on out.

A "Midnights" costume change

Swift debuted what seemed to be a new "Midnights" bodysuit during her performance of "Midnight Rain." This era was otherwise unchanged.

New Eras Tour merch!

Immediately after the show, the singer's website was updated with new merchandise featuring an Eras Tour logo with Tortured Poets art front and center — previously, a Midnights promo shot was used. The new merch curiously features names such as "The Eras II Tour Gray Crewneck."
