FLAMINGOS & POETTO (3 hours)

Our itinerary starts from the center of Cagliari towards the enchanting Poetto beach and the natural reserve where it won’t be difficult to meet the beautiful pink flamingos. This itinerary  is certainly a must-see during your stay in Cagliari , with its natural paths along the  fresh and salt water basins, that host many species of plants and birds. You will discover the history of the remains of the old city of salt. The first written proof regarding the salt works dates back to 150 BC  and from that time they played a very important role in the economy of the city . You will admire the Basilica of Bonaria with its splendid staircase and the Poetto, one of the most beautiful city beaches in the Mediterranean area.

GULF OF CAGLIARI (2,5 HOURS)

That’s a beautiful route especially recommended if you want to breathe the sea air and enjoy a unique show, amidst nature and with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Cagliari. This tour is definitely one of the best things to do in Cagliari; a few kilometers from the city center you will see the sandy and pebble beach of Calamosca, framed in a beautiful bay with a crystal blue water. From the top of different terrific promontories we will enjoy a lovely view over the suggestive area of Calamosca, the military barracks, the Lighthouse, the Fortress of Sant’Ignazio and the Torre del Poetto, which, together with those of Sant’Elia and the one of the Prezzemolo, formed part of of the coastal defense system.
