KRISTIN STOWELL (Music Supervisor) Kristin Stowell is a music director, pianist, composer, arranger, copyist, and educator based in Washington, D.C. Recent credits include music directing the world premieres of On Cedar Street (Berkshire Theatre Group) and Mystic Pizza (Ogunquit Playhouse), and the regional premiere of The Cher Show (Ogunquit Playhouse). ALISON FRANCK (Casting Director) ALISON FRANCK, C.S.A. (Casting Director) has been a casting director in NYC for over 25 years. She started as an assistant for many Broadway Productions, then she worked in film/TV for several years, then from 2000- 2010, she was the Resident Casting Director at Paper Mill Playhouse. In 2011 she joined the team at Liz Lewis Casting Partners, where she cast commercials, voiceovers, film/TV, and theatre. Bell-bottoms and Counterculture

When Cher first came on the scene as part of a duo with Sonny Bono in the 1960s, their looks were iconic of the free-love, freewheeling era. Her long, straight locks changed the game for those still wearing beehives.

Matching Furs (1968)

Bang, bang! As a duo, Cher and Sonny often matched in unisex takes on hippie fashion. Items like fur vests gave their looks textures and proportions and shapes that were unconventional for the era.

Pop Goddess (1972)

It would be the start of a lifelong trend of strategically placed sequins and fabulous headdresses. This Bob Mackie creation lit up The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour .

Belly Barer (1973)

Cher often revealed her belly button on the Sonny and Cher TV show, which got her in trouble with the network but eventually helped change the rules. Red carpet looks like this, once daring, are now the norm.

The Naked Dress (1974)

This daring look created for Cher by Bob Mackie was simply groundbreaking, and has since become a rite of passage for female performers. According to Mackie, it was never about being naked; it was about being bold.

Luau at the Oscars (1974)

Ever one to eschew black-tie formality, Cher showed up to the 1974 Academy Awards ® in a gorgeous floral-print two-piece more evocative of a sarong than a dress, but still high fashion with a couture headpiece and choker.

Behold the Unitard (1978)

The pop-star wardrobe staple all began with a bold move from a very body-forward disco diva.

Nearly Naked Butterfly (1979)

For her album “Prisoner,” Cher went nearly naked once again, in a shimmering Mackie headpiece cascading seamlessly into a matching beaded dress.

Risky Red Carpet (1986)

Moonstruck (1988)

Cher (the artist) does not appear in The Cher Show musical. Attendees Under 18: Children aged 5 and up with a ticket can attend performances at The Smith Center. However, based on content, this show is recommended for ages 12+, though you know what is most appropriate for your children. All patrons must have their own ticket, regardless of age (no babies held in arms or children sitting on laps). Patrons aged 16 or older may attend the performance without an accompanying adult with their parent’s or guardian’s permission. Cher is heading to London for one night only: How to get tickets

An evening with cher will see the superstar discuss her life and career on stage at london's lyceum theatre in this one-off show.

Music legend and Hollywood icon Cher is set to stun London this autumn with a rare and intimate appearance at the Lyceum Theatre.

The one-night-only event, An Evening with Cher , is scheduled for Monday, 25 November, offering fans a unique opportunity to hear from the superstar herself as she discusses her extraordinary life and career.

Timed to coincide with the release of her highly anticipated autobiography, Cher: The Memoir, Part One , this exclusive event promises to be a highlight of the queer calendar.

London holds the distinction of being the only date outside the United States on Cher’s book tour, making this a truly special occasion for UK fans. Other stops on her tour include New York City, New Jersey, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco, putting London in elite company.

While Cher won’t be performing her hits, attendees can look forward to an evening of candid conversation and behind-the-scenes stories from her remarkable journey in the spotlight.

The only woman to have topped the Billboard charts in seven consecutive decades, Cher’s career spans an impressive array of achievements. With an Academy Award, Emmy, Grammy, and Cannes Film Festival Award under her belt, not to mention her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cher’s influence on popular culture is undeniable.

The countdown has begun! Some of today’s most iconic supermodels, along with runway legends, are getting ready for the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show , the most glamorous lingerie event in the world. The first show took place in 1995 at The Plaza Hotel in New York, and after 500 wings were created for past shows, the brand is returning to the runway six years after its last edition. This edition, the show will take place in New York City at the brand’s flagship store, located at 640 Fifth Avenue.

In 2018, the brand’s former owner, L Brands, decided to end the shows as Victoria’s Secret shifted toward «other formats» following criticism that labeled the show as sexist . Now, years later, the Angels are back on the runway.

Biggest Rock Hall induction ever? Cleveland gears up for 2024 event

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The private jet traffic at Burke Lakefront Airport just to the east of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is about to get very busy.

The annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is coming home to Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Saturday, Oct. 19, and an incredible lineup of stars will be headed to town to celebrate.

How incredible? The list of inductees, performers and presenters who will be in attendance might be the Rock Hall’s biggest show ever, certainly bigger than anything Cleveland has seen since it began hosting the inductions on a semi-regular basis in 2009. (And that’s true even though BOTH Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney were part of the fun here in 2021. )

It rivals the star power of the Grammys or the MTV Video Music Awards, and the event is sold out, although verified resale tickets are still available at seatgeek.com. If you can’t make it to the live show, don’t despair. It will be streamed live to an international audience on Disney+, with an edited special being broadcast New Year’s Day 2025 on ABC, and available thereafter for streaming on Hulu.
