The City Information Centre (CIC) is London's only independent tourist information centre. ​

Get friendly, multilingual advice on everything there is to see and do in London and beyond from expert advisors. Find out which attractions are open, how you can book, popular walks and itineraries, free activities for the family and much more. Whether you need directions, information about the latest events or suggestions for days out, including city walks, come in and speak to the team. They can provide inspiring ideas on how to get the best out of your trip in London and further afield.​​​

The centre stocks a wide range of free brochures and publications including the London Planner and free City Visitor Trail and Children's Trail maps to help you make the most of your visit. You can explore the City with a range of free Self-Guided Walks on Roman London, Fire of London, Medieval London etc. or join a daily Guided Walk by qualified City of London Guides.

The City Information Centre is also known for its stunning modern design and won the 2009 RIBA Award for Architectural Excellence. Its low, sharp building has a strong visual character unlike anything else in the City. Designed by MAKE Architects, its form evolved from analysis of pedestrian flows across the site at the north end of Millennium Bridge.

Amsterdam visitor center - tourist office

Amsterdam has two official visitor centers: one in the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Terminal and one in front of the Central Station. These offices not only inform you about the city in a professional way but can also give you free small maps and folders with information about the city.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

I amsterdam visitor center Arrivals Hall 2. open daily from 7:00 to 22:00

Central Station

Located in a small wooden house outside of central station building on the station square. Between the central station main entrance and city center.

I amsterdam visitor center Stationplein 1 open daily from 9:00 to 18:00

Amsterdam Store

It is a place where you can buy local products and souvenirs. Like books, clothing, flowers, small gifts, but also food and drink that are local delicacies. They also sell entrance tickets to local events.

The I amsterdam store is located inside the central station building. It is not outside like the visitor center.

They are open from 10:00 to 19:00 on weekdays. And 9:00 to 18:00 on weekends.

Visiting the Netherlands

Apart from the Amsterdam office, there is also the National Board of Holland Tourism, which may be useful if you plan to visit any of the many tourist attractions out of Amsterdam, other old cities, museums in Haarlem, The Hague and Rotterdam, Dutch castles or the tulip gardens.

Left Luggage Storage

The Visit Belfast Welcome Centre has a left luggage facility so visitors can securely store their luggage while exploring the city.

It costs £4 for a half day or £6 for a full day (per bag) and photographic ID is required.

Luggage storage may be liable to a random inspection.

Storage during opening hours only: Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm, Sundays 11am to 3.30pm.

Dublin Tourist Information Centre, O'Connell Street

The staff are happy to help you discover the many places of interest around the country, including The Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland's Ancient East, Ireland's Hidden Heartlands and Dublin.

Drop into the Tourist Information Centre on buzzing O’Connell Street where the friendly and expert Travel Advisors are ready to share their local knowledge so that you can enjoy the vibrant city and truly discover Dublin. The office is right in the heart of the city, a short stroll from historical buildings and top visitor attractions. Dublin is a compact capital city easy to explore, close to mountains and the sea, so you can enjoy the lively city life with short trips to picturesque coastal villages and scenic mountains walks.

We have a Scotland-wide network of iCentres (Information Centres). In these, we provide face-to-face information provision and inspiration to visitors.

VisitScotland iCentres

We have 25 iCentres across the country offering tourist information and local recommendations from knowledgeable Scotland experts.

iCentres help visitors with:

• information on the local area as well as the wider region
• information about attractions and accommodation
• booking tours
• entrance passes to visitor attractions
• buying tickets for public transport services

Information and customer experience doesn’t just sit at the door of an iCentre. Many of the iCentres offer free Wi-Fi enabling visitors to browse our website.

Changing the way we provide visitor information

As part of our strategy to grow the visitor economy, we’re making changes to the way we provide visitor information. With the majority of people planning their holidays online, we’ll focus on influencing visitors at the planning stage before they leave home.

As a result, our network of iCentres will close over the next two years. This will be done via a phased closure programme until the end of March 2026. 

We recognise that circumstances vary around the country and we are engaging with key stakeholders to discuss local circumstances.
