We are very excited about our 2023 Expedition 2.0. We even drove from Eastern Ontario to Edmonton to pick up our new trailer and we’re able to test it out on the way home. We are, so far, extremely pleased with the trailer. We cannot wait to see where the road will takes us and our OGT Expo 2.0.

backcountry travel trailer

I was able to find a demo trailer that had been a showroom model. It had all of the options I would have put on my own build, plus a few more. I would not have ordered the roof top tent, but after using it, I am happy this unit come with the tent. Very happy with the build quality and functionality of the Expedition 2.0. Looking forward to many great adventures and new memories

Awesome product! Wife and I took this camper out to put it to use, and it was all smiles. This might look small, but it’s packed with space and a LOT of cool accessories! Don’t go with a poor quality made camper. Pay for a good one that’ll last, and has all of the top of the line accessories.

backcountry travel trailer

If you want a capable and very well built offroad trailer built in Canada 🇨🇦 my home Country look no further. We purchased a 2019 6 month old Expedition 2.0 . This rig is awsome. We have explored and taken this trailer with our 2014 Toyota Fj and 2016 offroad 4 runner on remote FSR roads and the west coast of Vancouver island and thru Alberta . The awning and side cooking drop down kitchen is the best . The sleeping quarters and mattress are super confertable. Very light and easy to tow . It has everything you need and nothing that you don't need . Less is more I believe. Highly recommend it . Enjoy exploring.

Tentrax Ascend

An affordable off-road-capable overlanding trailer is an investment in adventure.  Set up in the backcountry or a primitive campground, the right off-road trailer or teardrop camper can take your outdoor experience to new levels of enrichment. Days filled with outdoor exploration, nights spent under star-filled skies, and some of the basic comforts of civilization are just a few of the rewards offered by a camping trailer with off-road chops.

Starting with a budget of under $10,000, we curated a collection of traditional camping trailers and teardrop-style camping trailers. These trailers will move your off-road and overlanding journeys up a notch or two.

Take a gander, and if you find something you like, dig deeper into your favorite below.

Off-Road Camper Trailers Under $10,000

Hiker trailers mid-range xl off-road.

Hiker Trailers Mid Range XL

With four models to choose from, Hiker Trailers builds a compact camping trailer for every level of adventure. The quartet of capable Hiker off-road trailers runs from the Highway Deluxe ($5,999) meant for smooth dirt and gravel roads to the fully capable go-anywhere Extreme Off Road ($14,999).

One of our favorites is the Hiker Trailers Mid-Range XL Off-Road ($9,699). Designed for moderate off-roading on rugged dirt and gravel roads, the Hiker Mid-Range XL Off-Road trailer’s many features include a 3,500-pound-rated torsion suspension axle, two rear stabilizer jacks, and steel diamond plate fenders.

Hiker Trailers Mid-Range XL Off-Road

Exterior dimensions on the basic 5×8-foot trailer are 94 inches long, 58 inches wide, and 44 inches high. The Mid-Range XL can also be built on a 5×9-foot or 5×10-foot floor plan. A 3,500-pound-capacity torsion axle, 2-inch frame lift, and 16-inch aluminum wheels with 31.5-inch tires provide the Hiker Trailers Mid-Range XL Off-Road with elevated off-road capabilities.

Manley ORV Explore

Manley ORV Trailers Explore

Manley ORV Trailers builds the closest thing you can find to a military M416 jeep trailer and traces its design and construction heritage back to the famous WW II-era K-38 Jeep trailers. The Manley ORV Explore ($9,995) model off-road trailer will effortlessly follow you out to your favorite remote campsite and is our choice for the best “trailer-top tent” model in the Manley ORV Trailer line.

The Manley ORV Explore off-road trailer is based on the company’s 14-gauge steel tub with a 1/8-inch-thick steel floor. The Explore weighs 775 pounds and has a load capacity of 2,000 pounds. It has all the basic attributes of the cargo-focused Manley ORV Original and Utility trailers, plus some of the comfort features of its bigger brother, the Basecamp trailer.

Manley ORV off-road trailer

Standard issue equipment on the Manley ORV Explore includes an independent torsion axle, lockable aluminum lid, one-hand-close tailgate, a tall trailer rack system, and a rooftop tent. A 2-inch ball coupler and 31-inch off-road tires are also standard.

Oregon Trailer DoDrop

Oregon Trailer DoDrop

The Oregon Trailer DoDrop ($8,500) is the company’s most affordable of its teardrop trailer models and a good choice for the backcountry traveler. The DoDrop is made from high-grade materials and sits on a steel tube frame, but it’s light enough (550 pounds) to be easily towed by almost any small car or CUV.

The trailer’s body dimensions are 4 feet wide, 3.5 feet tall, and 7 feet long. It offers plenty of sleeping room with a bed length of 78 inches and an interior width of 47 inches. Two 26×32-inch trailer doors make entry and egress easy. Jeep-style fenders keep road debris off the trailer, and custom rack and electrical options are available.

For a teardrop trailer that can truly stand up to the rigors of off-roading, Oregon Trailer’s DoDrop Alpha ($13,250) is prepared for the worst with a reinforced tubular steel chassis and 1,400-pound capacity long-travel independent torsion system.

Among the many options available, the DoDrop can be equipped with a chuck box/camp kitchen, making it a comfortable mini-cabin on wheels for a cozy weekend away or a long cross-country adventure.

Timberleaf Trailers Kestral

Timberleaf Trailers Kestrel

The Kestrel ($8,750) is the most affordable camping trailer in the Timberleaf Trailer line and the company’s lightest and most compact teardrop model. If you are looking for a minimalist camping trailer, the Kestrel is a good choice. Unlike Timberleaf’s Pika and Classic models, the Kestrel doesn’t have a rear-access hatch, a galley, built-in power, or a skylight.

However, the Kestrel does come standard with an insulated ceiling, aluminum roof and sides, LED cabin lights, LED running and taillights, interior cabinets, a 6-inch mattress, and two 26×36-inch doors with vented windows. You also get pre-wiring for future electrical power system upgrades and a 2-inch receiver hitch in the rear for bike racks .

If you want to spend a little more, you can get your Kestrel upgraded with the All-Road package or the Off-Road package. The All-Road options add provide up to 17 inches of ground clearance, heavy-duty suspension, and 30-inch tires.

With up to 23 inches of ground clearance. The Off-Road package makes the Kestrel into an off-road beast with a 4-inch lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires , and aluminum diamond plate Jeep-style fenders with integrated steps.

Off-Road Campers & Teardrops Under $15,000

Tentrax trailers ascend.

Tentrax Trailers Ascend

The Tentrax Ascend off-road trailer is a great choice for those looking for something lightweight, affordable ($11,995), and easy to tow behind your Jeep or whatever 4×4 you use for your off-grid adventures. Weighing in at just 600 pounds, the Tentrax Ascend trailer has a powder-coated steel frame, reinforced fiberglass body, and a pop-up tent made from water-resistant ripstop poly cotton that’s also UV- and mold-resistant.

Moderate off-road capability comes in the form of a 1,800-pound-capacity Dexter Torflex torsion axle, and 30-inch off-road tires wrapped around steel wheels . Other standard equipment includes a 48×96-inch bed with foam padding, a frame-mounted front rack, a roof rack mounted to the lid, a hitch ball towing attachment, a four-pin trailer wiring harness, and a heavy-duty removable jack stand.

Available options for the Tentrax Ascend off-road trailer are numerous. Standouts are an off-road ready Timbren axle-less suspension, a 12V electrical package (two 12V outlets, deep cycle battery, and battery box), and an electric trailer brake system. For those hardcore off-road enthusiasts, there is also an Off-Road Articulation Package that gets you an articulating hitch, trailer tongue extension, and an extended wiring harness.

TC Teardrops Overland

TC Teardrops

Teardrop-style trailers became popular in the ’50s and ’60s and have seen a remarkable revival among buyers in the last decade or so. TC Teardrops Trailers produces several models that are modern-day versions of these classic and easy-to-tow trailers.

The most basic is the Oasis model. On the top end of the scale is the TC Teardrop Off-Road Expedition, which has all the bells and whistles, and a price to go with them. Our favorite in the line is the Overland ($10,100 for the 4×8-foot floorplan). The Overland comes in five sizes, from the smallest version at 4×8 feet to the largest model at 5×10 feet.

Typical features on TC Teardrops’ Overland are the sleeping room for two, 12V accessory outlets, LED lighting, and a front storage platform. A choice of three different galley styles depends upon the trailer footprint size you choose, but all offer a rear galley with shelves and a slide-out table. The Overland model also gets electric trailer brakes, a 2,000-pound capacity torsion axle, and an articulating hitch.

Bivouac Camping Trailers Fort

Bivouac Camping Trailers

The Fort overlanding trailer ($10,995) from Bivouac Camping Trailers is packed with features that make it a top choice for off-road camping enthusiasts. Nearly 40 cubic feet of cargo space and the option of a cargo rack or rooftop tent mounted to the upper deck make the Fort off-road trailer a versatile overlanding companion.

The Fort trailer’s powder-coated steel tube frame sits on a 2,500-pound capacity torsion axle, with 10-inch electric brakes, steel wheels, and 31-inch tires. Standards include goodies like a basic top cargo tray, side steps, LED brake lights, and side marker lights.

Bivouac Camping Trailer Fort

Available accessories are nearly endless. Some of our top option picks would be the Rotopax fluid and storage containers, an LP gas bottle rack, upgraded shock absorbers, and the body lift that allows the fitment of 33-inch off-road tires.

SylvanSport GO Camping Trailer

SylvanSport GO Camping Trailer

SylvanSport builds lightweight trailers for the backcountry explorer. Its GO Camping Trailer ($14,495) weighs just 840 pounds and has a metal tube structure rather than the more common hard-side off-road camping trailer design. The magic of this trailer’s design is its versatility. The Go Camping Trailer can convert from a pop-up tent trailer to a cargo trailer to a bike trailer within a few minutes.

SylvanSport GO Camping Trailer

The SylvanSport GO Camping Trailer can be optioned out for more rugged travel with off-road favorable features like a larger wheel and tire combo that help deliver increased ground clearance. With sleeping room for four adults and a center-standing room of 6 feet 5 inches, the trailer is easy to live in. Somewhat of a Swiss Army Knife , the GO Trailer can be folded tight and low for travel or expanded to bloom into a full-size tent with beds and standing room.

Off-Road Adventure Trailer Under $20,000

Schutt xventure xv-3 trailer.

XVenture XV-3 Trailer

The XVenture XV-3 Trailer ($17,925) from Schutt Industries is one of the recreational overlanding trailer products from a company that also manufactures industrial and military-grade cargo handling equipment. The company’s experience in these highly demanding fields has helped it create the XVenture line of off-road camping trailers.

schutt industries xv-3 off-road trailer

The XVenture XV-3 offers all-aluminum construction, a front-wheel jack, rear stabilizer jacks, three-piece step-style fenders, and a power distribution center wired with fused switchable supply ports. It also has a swing-away tailgate and integrated galley table, a 110V exterior power receptacle, and cargo-bed-mounted 12V receptacles. The Schutt XVenture XV-3 trailer is one of our favorites in the upper end of the affordable off-road camping trailer category.

For the DIY Builder

Boreas campers chassis.

Boreas Campers Chassis

For the off-road trailer buyer looking for a DIY project, here’s a great way to start that custom build you’ve got in mind from a company that builds and sells some very nice high-end off-road camping trailers. The Boreas Chassis ($6,500) is just that — a ready-to-roll off-road chassis that offers a clean sheet to work from.

The Boreas Campers Chassis delivers a powder-coated steel subframe and a 3,500-pound capacity trailing arm suspension system with dual shocks and heavy-duty coil springs. An articulating hitch coupler with handbrake, electric drum brakes, and off-road tires and wheels provide the ability to easily handle rough off-road terrain.

Front and rear 2-inch receiver hitches, a seven-pin trailer wiring harness, a main chassis electrical harness, taillights, and red and orange marker lights are also part of the standard equipment package on the Boreas Chassis. The options list could add fenders, spare tire and mount, a toolbox, rear leveling jacks, and a 30-gallon freshwater tank to your Boreas Chassis order. But, the rest of the trailer build is up to your imagination.

Manu-Facts:

Outdoors RV

Outdoors RV Manufacturing was born in 2009 with the vision of owners Ron and Sherry Nash. Our company focus is to design and build recreational vehicles for the customers who desire to enjoy the outdoors, no matter the terrain or weather.  We call it "mountain tough four seasons camping."

Just like the picturesque mountain valley where our factory is located, the RV adventurer of the Western United States and Western Canada will find beautiful pristine alpine lakes, rugged snow capped mountains, lush rain forests, beautiful desert landscapes, and incredible ocean views to explore. We here at Outdoors RV are proud  RV owners and love the outdoor lifestyle in out many adventures we have had customers tell us that they wished a manufacturer would build an RV that was designed for our backyard versus the industry standard that is designed for the pavement and the 3 summer months.

Outdoors answers the call in designing three different series of RV's, two based on how you camp (backcountry series & mountain series) and one being the premium trim package.

Let you outdoor adventures begin!

Adventure Travel Trailers

Back-country & off-the-grid camping trailers.

A recent trend in travel trailers is the ultra-mod, compact, high-tech camper aimed at a younger, active life style demographic. These are campers who like off-the-beaten-path remote camping, go mountain biking or kayaking, like to pack light and leave a small foot print, but do like certain creature comforts and have support for their mobile technology. (manufacturer website links are at the bottom of this page)

Airstream BaseCamp

Even the luxury travel trailer icon Airstream is going after this Extreme Demographic. The BaseCamp comes with several standard luxuries like 2 way refrigerator, sink, cooktop, bath/shower, pre-wired for solar, LED lighting, USB Ports, blue-tooth speakers, hot water and cabin heating systems, and many more. While almost every amenity is standard equipment, options include solar panels plus an AGM battery upgrade and two different tent-ad-ons that can expand your living space an additional 120 square feet.

What I particularly love about the BaseCamp is the wrap-around windows allowing lots of light in the interior and panoramic views of outside. It makes the small space seem much bigger. I like the kitchen area with more cooking and meal prep counter space than units 2 or 3 times its size. Airstream’s engineering and attention-to-detail in its design allows its small footprint to contain lots of quality comfort and convenience features. Everywhere you look in the unit you find ingenious touches.

What particularly “makes” the BaseCamp for the extreme camper is its rear hatch door and open center aisle more than 10 feet long that will allow indoor storage of kayaks, bikes and other toys. Larger wheels & tires plus protective underbody and skirts allow it to be towed over gravel and rougher roads. Its’ light weight, compact aerodynamic design, and balance make it easily towable by mid-size SUVs.

Retail Cost is $36K to 40K fully loaded – 2021 price

Cricket Camper Travel Trailer

Rugged, tank-like in appearance. The Cricket is a better engineered option to the traditional pop-up camper. Its kitchen has a large counter with covered sink and 6 large cubbies for prepping, cooking, and storage and supported by a 15 gallon plumbing system with heated hot water and a gray water storage tank. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold running water, but no indoor bathroom however. But most other amenities are there either as standard or optional. It is wired for both 110 and 12 volt systems, has LED lighting, and is pre-wired for the solar panel option. You can get optional furnace, air-conditioning, and a 12 volt refrigerator.

Rugged exterior, 15 inch all-terrain tires with 12″ of ground clearance allow you to travel down gravel and single track woods roads. “The Cricket camper has sleeping room for two adults and up to two children, along with Taxa’s NASA inspired design and integrated plumbing and electrical systems, you’re good to go days off-the-grid with this camper.” Weighs less than 1500 lbs so practically any 4 cylinder or above vehicle could tow it.

It has a roof rack system for hauling bikes, kayaks or extra gear. It also has a large rear hatch that allows you to transport bikes inside. Awning and privacy cabana.

$27,868 USD – MSRP 2021 price

T@b Outback

While most of the Tab Travel Trailers have the neat pop-top outdoor kitchen that opens up in the back, extreme campers who might encounter extreme weather conditions, want their kitchen and dining inside the RV where it is more protected from the elements. The Outback and its new cousin the Tab 400 provide that luxury plus an indoor bathroom/shower combination. These models include just about all the other amenities found in larger camper trailers: TV, air conditioner, furnace, stove, refrigerator, LED lighting, dinette area separate from the sleeping bed (tab 400) and other features. All of this still in a compact, easily towable package under 3000 lbs.

The Outback package offers a Yakima Roof Rack, heavy duty off-road style tires, diamond plated stone guards, cargo netting, and other durability options.

Approximate Price: $28,000 2021 price

Sylan Sport Go Camper

An ingenious package that serves as a rugged towable carrier for bikes, kayaks, canoes, or surf boards and also is a novel soft-sided compact pop-up tent camper with some unique features.

The tent is stored in the pop-top and when the top is raised the tent drops down for easy assembly. The entire tent system can be set up by one person in less than 15 minutes. Inside there is a fold down table that can accommodate up to 4 people for dining and can also be converted to allow sleeping space for up to 4 adults.

Lightweight, weighing in at only 840 lbs the Go Camper is easily towed by smaller cars or SUVs (like a Subaru) but can carry a huge amount of cargo or personal sport vehicles.

Also works as a utility trailer. With the pop-up tent top completely removed, the Go Camper converts into a utility trailer that will allow hauling of large items like a refrigerator , laundry appliances or a riding mower. For day trip adventures it can carry several kayaks or bikes. The deck will handle up to 800 lbs and the upper rack will handle an additional 160 lbs.

The Go Camper is a quality, well-engineered piece of equipment designed for years of use and to stand up to transport in back-woods roads. Watching the video on setting up the unit you’ll see how ingenious is the engineering.

Made in America in Brevard, North Carolina.

MSRP $9,995 2021 price

Escapade Backcountry X Trailer

Escapade Backcountry trailer, off-road trailer, Escapade, teardrop trailers, teardrop, overland trailer, overland, overlanding, off-road, off-roading, vehicle supported adventure.

Recently we got our hands on a fully loaded  Escapade Backcountry X trailer  and took it on a 1356 mile trip from southern California to southern Utah and back. We camped primitively for 6 nights and traversed 156 off-road miles, which included easy fire roads to moderately difficult remote backcountry trails. The following is our impression of the trailer after pushing it hard in the backcountry.

Escapade Backcountry trailer, off-road trailer, Escapade, teardrop trailers, teardrop, overland trailer, overland, overlanding, off-road, off-roading, vehicle supported adventure.

Escapade Backcountry X – Basic stats:

  • Weight: 1850- 2000 lbs (with all upgrades included)
  • Length: 15’
  • Height: 81”
  • Width: 90”
  • Ground Clearance: 20”
  • Tongue Weight: 225 lbs

Off-road upgrade package:

  • HD Timbren Axle- less suspension 2” lift
  • 235/85/16 Falken Wildpeak AT3W Tires
  • Height adjustable “Lock and Roll” Coupler

Towing capability:

For reference, the tow rig on this trip was TAP’s highly modified 2019 TAP TRD Off-Road 4Runner. The trailer tracked beautifully both on the insane and heavily trafficked LA Freeways and also on the remote backcountry Utah trails. At no point during the 1356 miles, did we ever feel that the trailer wasn’t locked in behind us and following the line of the rig perfectly. At a fully loaded tow weight of around 2000 lbs, we easily managed to cruise on the freeway at 70+, dropping down to 60+ on steep inclines. MPG on the road was around 12, down from our usual average of 14.8. Off-road it dropped further to 11mpg.

We’ve not used a Timbren Axle-Less suspension before and had heard mixed opinions. On the road and trail it felt stable and easily sucked up bumps and drops. It seemed equally at home at freeway speeds, washboard trails and dropping off small rock ledges. After a week of use in varied conditions, we have nothing but praise for it.

Escapade Backcountry trailer, off-road trailer, Escapade, teardrop trailers, teardrop, overland trailer, overland, overlanding, off-road, off-roading, vehicle supported adventure.

We should also mention that the adjustable “Lock and Roll” coupler undoubtedly helped with the smooth ride. Note: Escapade informs us that this has now been changed to the Max Coupler system, which in our opinion is an even better system.

Finally, ground clearance on the Backcountry X is an impressive 20”, although despite this, we still managed to touch down a couple of times.

Build quality and construction:

Our overall impression of the Escapade Backcountry X is that it is a solid and well-built trailer. It certainly handled a very hard week on the road and trails with ease.

The trailer frame is made of 2″ x 3” powder coated steel and the body of the trailer has a seamless fiberglass exterior.  This fiberglass layer has a fully coated Raptor liner at the front and floor, with mountain styled side panels to protect it against road and trail debris. The trailer walls, roof and floor also have a radiant insulation barrier, which we appreciated when the overnight temps hit 23 degrees. To finish up, the interior uses ¾” UV finished maple, giving a professional finish.

Comfort and cabin interior options:

At 60” wide and 80” long, the sleeping area is spacious for two people, and we never felt cramped or claustrophobic. As previously mentioned, the cabin is well insulated and despite the 23-degree temps we experienced, we were toasty. The trailer comes standard with two passive air vents and a Maxxair Deluxe powered roof vent with built in rain shield. Two side windows give light and ventilation, with two access doors finishing off the structure.

Regarding comfort, the bed option in this trailer was the 6” Tri Fold Mattress and was fantastic.

Escapade Backcountry trailer, off-road trailer, Escapade, teardrop trailers, teardrop, overland trailer, overland, overlanding, off-road, off-roading, vehicle supported adventure.

Two additional options that come with this trailer are a heater and air conditioner. They work with shore power or a 2200-watt generator, so in our opinion are more of a front country feature. Wrapping up the list of interior options are front shelves that house the 12-volt power and 2 x USB ports (+voltage reader). Despite our best intentions, we always fail at keeping everything tidy while camping, so the shelves were extremely useful. The ability to charge our phones overnight was also a nice feature.

The Backcountry X trailer comes with two galley options. One is truly minimalist, and the other is moderately minimalist. The trailer we tested came with the latter option which included general shelving, a small utensil drawer and an ARB 63L fridge on a locking slide out.  Having spent a week with this galley layout, our biggest critique is the lack of a pull-out table. We’d even sacrifice the size of the fridge (going down to 44L) to allow this to work. We used the shelves for storage and found that they provide ample space, although that meant that a separate table had to be set up to cook on and the fridge top became the defacto general workspace. No doubt, some customers may be looking for a more built out galley and we’d certainly recommend this as a second upgrade.

Exterior Options:

  • Toolbox and front Rack combo:  We found the rack to be useful for storing a 20-gallon propane tank and shovel. It would also be an excellent place for carrying firewood. The toolbox housed the trailer battery and various small tools. Unfortunately, despite sealing strips, it failed to stand up against the fine Utah dust.

  • Yakima 7g Roadshower:  We’ve used these before and certainly appreciated the ability on the road to take a shower or simply rinse off dishes. Recommended.

Escapade Backcountry trailer, off-road trailer, Escapade, teardrop trailers, teardrop, overland trailer, overland, overlanding, off-road, off-roading, vehicle supported adventure.

  • Rhino Rack 270-degree Batwing Awning:  Despite heavy winds on our trip, we used this on multiple occasions to shade us from the harsh southern UT sun and would certainly recommend this option.
  • 190-Watt Solar Panel package:  If you’re anything like us, you take a lot of camera gear on your trips to record your adventures. This system worked perfectly and was excellent at keeping the fridge and our gear charged each day. Highly recommend.

Escapade Backcountry trailer, off-road trailer, Escapade, teardrop trailers, teardrop, overland trailer, overland, overlanding, off-road, off-roading, vehicle supported adventure.

Conclusion:

Simply put, the Escapade Backcountry X lived up to its name. It’s a well-built trailer that impressed us on and off the trail. Most importantly it was comfortable to spend a week in and we took it to places and put it through weather conditions that truly tested it. As we indicated, we’d like to see the Deluxe Galley option built out further, with a pull out table included.

All in all, the Escapade Backcountry X is a great looking, trail rated trailer. With a solid standard feature list and a starting price of $18,900, it is excellent value for money.

We have a 2021 Backcountry X and LOVE IT. We also just got back from a 1500 mile trip from CO to Utah. The Backcountry tows like a gem, handles the bumpy rocky roads no problem, and gets a lot of attentions when we stop intown. We swithced our coupler/hitch to a Cruisemaster DO35 and it really makes a difference over the Bulldog collar coupler. Along with the 270º awning, the 8′ awning, the a/c, the suspension, the fiberglass shell, the insulation, and the overall craftsmanship this “squaredrop” is seriously a bad*ss camper.

Travel Trailers

If the idea of towing your travel trailer with the hitch on your current vehicle fuels your RV dreams, our ultra lightweight premium travel trailers are the way to go. Available in small to medium-large, Heartland travel trailers offer convenience, comfort and affordability. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, your towable RV is specifically engineered so you can quickly and easily unhitch your vehicle from your trailer — freeing you up for those long-awaited day trips. In general, a standard truck can tow a medium-large luxury destination travel trailer. While an SUV or van may tow a small travel trailer. We can assess your vehicle’s towing capability*.

* While these light travel trailers don’t require the fifth wheel apparatus that many larger trailers may require, you do need to make sure that your vehicle and hitch are properly paired with a trailer. Pulling a trailer that weighs too much for your vehicle can seriously damage your car. If your hitch isn’t properly installed, you could damage your trailer.
