Travel to India

Step into India and you are stepping into the most democratic and the most feudal country in the world.

The marriage of feudalism to freedom is the grandest of India's many paradoxes, and part of its magic and charm. India's people are utterly free, yet the situations of many are fixed in time, at roughly 100 years ago. Contradictions in everyday Indian life may leave you nonplussed on your first trip here. No matter how quickly it charges onto the information super-highway, India remains an enigma, a perplexity, and a puzzle you simply can't solve. And every time you think you know the place, something happens to jolt you out of your complacency.

The essence of contemporary Indian life is that people carry on with whatever activity pleases them, even if it's contrary to the law or the comfort of their neighbors—and neither the authorities or the bemused neighbors bat an eye. Parades of disgruntled workers with blaring micro-phones obstruct a city thoroughfare for 12 hours, and life goes on around them. Villagers use a highway running through their hamlet as a place to dry that season's rice crop, and truck drivers simply drop to the shoulder of the road, navigating care-fully for miles—even if it means landing in a ditch—to protect the grain. Your toddler irrigates the second-class train compartment you share with six other people, and your fellow passengers smile benignly and keep their feet up.

Any religious activity in India has society's full sanction. Half the populace occupies the main road in prayer; a whole town blushes orange with religious banners. Festivals turn whole community’s upside-down with noise, color, and commotion, but a tamasha (spectacle or happy confusion) is enjoyed by all.

The flip side of this day-to-day liberty is that many Indians' fates are engraved in stone. The poor seldom become rich. The rich seldom become poor. Carpenters seldom become doctors. Widows seldom re-marry. Wives seldom divorce alcoholic, do-nothing husbands. Untouchables never, technically at least, become touchable. Castes cannot be changed or ignored. Social mobility, while gaining momentum, is slow.

The people of India will warm your heart. Democratic or feudal, Indians can be touching in their respect, affection, and concern for you, a guest; their families; and their gods. Where else can you see thousands of people trudging barefoot through the night to pay their respects to a deity in a temple?

Indeed, religion in India is no one-day-a-week affair: It's a way of life, the force that moves the country. Faith governs the mind, defines most behaviour, and sets much of the country's agenda and calendar. It becomes a personal lullaby or alarm clock for all, with Hindu temple bells tinkling intermittently and a muezzin calling the Muslim faithful to prayer five times a day. So many gods and goddesses are worshiped here that Mark Twain may have understated the case when he wrote in Following the Equator that "in religion all other countries are paupers, India is the only millionaire." Hinduism alone accounts for thousands of deities. Where ever you travel in this spiritual land, you'll find monuments with a sacred element: the Taj Mahal, with its carefully inlaid Koranic verses; Khajuraho's Hindu temples, with their astonishing erotic sculptures; the Ajanta Caves, with their serene murals of the Buddha; Catholic churches in Goa, with their Hindu-esque images of Jesus; Jain temples with their tirthankaras (perfect souls), whose poses and features resemble those of the Buddha; and even a handful of historic synagogues.

The earliest remnants of an Indian civilization date from at least 3200 BC, and since then the subcontinent's culture and heritage have endured repeated invasions. Some say India's ability to adapt is the very source of her strength and resilience. Persian-influenced Mogul tombs add delicacy to urban skylines. British bungalows anchor Himalayan hill stations and line major avenues. Cuisines, languages, dance and music styles, and artwork and handicrafts vary widely from state to state. There's no American-style homogeneity in India; each region is intensely proud of its own culture.

To be sure, many aspects of this country can be hard for the Westerner to understand. Why, for instance, do India's urban cows prefer to chew on newspaper rather than on rotting garbage (in plentiful sup-ply) or on random patches of grass in a field? India can also be exasperating and exhausting—a difficult place for those accustomed to efficiency and a Western work ethic. To enjoy your stay in India, surrender, take it slow, and don't try to squeeze too much into a short trip. Prepare to give in to the laissez-faire attitude that seems a natural extension of India's fatalistic tendency. The favorite saying is, "Shall we adjust? We will adjust." In Hindi: "Adjust karlenge." Accept that what happens is meant to be, or is the will of a supreme authority (frequent Indian explanations). If your flight is canceled, the phone doesn't work, or the fax won't go through, don't fly into a rage. When the slow-motion pace of workers in a government bank or post office is about to drive you crazy, remember that this lack of value for time will have an appealing effect when you venture into rural areas and start wondering why, exactly, you spend so much time in your office back home. Here, time's insignificance induces a dreamlike state. You can sit for hours and watch the simplest routines: village women drawing water from a well, or a man tills the soil with a crude wooden plow. Walking around a deserted ancient city such as Fatehpur Sikri, or watching orthodox Hindus in Varanasi go through their purification or cremation rituals, you'll begin to understand why the art of meditation evolved here. Arrive with the determination to experience India, and make every attempt to adapt; otherwise, this country—which travelers tend to love or hate—might rub you the wrong way.

It helps to be forgiving about some elements of India's inefficiency and over-stretched infrastructure. When this country gained independence in 1947, the new democracy chose nonalignment, set up a large national government, and legislated protectionist policies that kept out most foreign products and led almost too economic isolation. The first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, believed protection-ism would make India self-reliant and ultimately improve the standard of living, especially for the impoverished. India did move toward self-reliance, but lack of competition stifled the country's own development, with its captive market forced to accept indigenous products that were often substandard or old-fashioned. Until recently, the dominant car on India's roads was a copy of the Ambassador, a British design from the early 1950s with a curvaceous yet bulky chassis: a nostalgic gas-guzzler.

Then, in 1991, a severe debt crisis and a shortage of foreign exchange forced the government to initiate economic reforms whose results have been nothing short of astonishing. Having studiously fended off foreign corporations for decades, India is suddenly encouraging them to invest. Coke and Pepsi are staging their old war on new turf, and software companies are helping turn Bangalore and Hyderabad into 21st-century boom towns.

India’s Stirring has profound implications, and has already affected her once-rigid lifestyle. Cable TV is changing India, as British, American, French, Pakistani, and Chinese commentators relay their own views of the news on satellite channels. Teenagers now dance to MTV India, a frenetic mixture of Indian and Western pop. American cartoons capture the attention of every Indian child with access to the Cartoon Network. Reruns of The Bold and the Beautiful show steamy scenes to a people whose own "Bollywood" movies (made in Bombay) were not allowed to include a kiss until a few years ago. While most Indian women still wear saris or casual, two-piece salwar-katneez, some now rush off to their corporate jobs in the latest Western fashions, and many men have become equally label-conscious about everything from the shirts they wear to the foreign liquor they drink. An increasing number of people working in the private sector complain of a new work-related problem: stress.

Yet India still teems with pavement dwellers, otherwise known as the homeless. The poor are not shy about approaching strangers, and the Western traveler with a pocketful of rupees might find it hard to resist a plea, especially from a child. Faced with begging, you are encouraged to visit a local school or medical clinic and make a contribution through a responsible adult.

So, again, if you get frustrated here, remember that everyone from villagers to wealthy urbanites is equally annoyed by lousy services, and impatient for the kind of infrastructure that most Westerners take for granted. And along with this impatience comes a sense of concern: Many Indians lament the arrival of foreign competitors to solve their problems. They worry about the increasing disparity between the haves and have-nots as a result of reforms that have raised inflation. They wonder whether the benefits will really trickle down to the masses. Others wonder if India will succumb to a cultural imperialism that will rob them of their identity. And yet increased exposure to the Western world is unlikely to overturn Indian culture. Most imports will be examined, Indianized, and absorbed, the way Coca-Cola is drunk in western Uttar Pradesh: with salt, red pepper, and cheat masala.

All of these issues add dimension to any trip to India, as you are witnessing a country in profound transition. Today's India is more than its thousands of monuments; more than its hundreds of ethnic groups; more than its colourful fairs and festivals; more than the birthplace of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism; more than the sum of its parts. India has taken its first steps toward becoming an economic giant. With a population of 1 billion as of 1999, it is a country that can't be ignored.

There is no time duration that could be assumed good for an Indian Holiday Itinerary, Tourists visit India on a short visit of 3 to 5 days and then there are tourists which stay back in India for months. Large distances , different culture and religions within India make travel a complicated affair , It is advisable to visit India during moderate weather months ( September to April ) , Not all the destinations are accessible by air , and it is advisable to reserve train tickets well in advance , The accommodation in India fall into various categories - Homestays , Hotels , Heritage Havelis and Palaces , etc . For all your travel needs contact Swan Tours, One of the leading Tour operators and Travel agents in Delhi, India.

Deciding on when to visit India is important considering India has a varied climate across different states. There are different festivals celebrated at a different time of the year which should also be taken into account when deciding the best time to visit India. The ideal time to visit Goa, Rajasthan, Delhi, Agra is between November and March. If you are up for trekking, the months from August to September are great to visit the Himalayas. Holi, the festival of colors takes place in March and therefore if you want to enjoy the colorful festival you can plan your visit accordingly. March is also a good time to plan a visit to the wildlife parks of Central India.

6 Tips To Choose The Best Travel Agents In India

There is no one in the world who does not love to travel. Everyone likes to see new places and bring back loads of memories. Traveling to a new destination becomes more convenient if you take help from a good travel agent, as they will help you plan the itinerary and ensure every comfort during the trip.

There are many travel agents in India, and that is why you may find it difficult to choose one of them. If you don't get the right travel agent, the whole tour can be ruined. So a good travel agent is very important to make the tour memorable. Now let's talk about the headline. Choosing the best tour operator in India is not a very complicated matter. You can find good tour operators in India by paying a little attention to a few things. For example:

  • Reputation:

Before choosing a tour operator, you must check out their market reputation first. If there is any personal reference, it is very good; otherwise, you can get information from an official source. Choose a reputable tour operator in India.

  • Experience:

Make sure that your tour operator is experienced enough for your tour. If you travel with someone experienced, the problem is less. It is better not to go with any new travel company.

  • Customer Relationships:

The behavior of the travel agent or tour guide has a great impact on the entire tour. If you like their behavior and company, you will develop a good relationship with them. Even if you are away from home, you will feel like you are with your family.

Find out how much your travel agent knows about your destination. Without the proper knowledge, any important place can be missed. The culture, traditions, and festivals of that place are all necessary to know. So the travel agent's knowledge is essential.

It is important to know the language for the exchange of ideas. The language you are comfortable with should be understood by the travel agent. The fun of the journey is doubled if there is no problem with understanding.

Check the given travel plan properly. Know the type of vehicle and how long you have to travel. Know if the journey will be stressful for you or not. If you have any physical problems, please inform them first.

  • Fair Price:

Travel agents should provide the right package. The package offered by the travel agents should be appropriate to the service offered to you. This process may take some time, but you will be able to choose the ideal travel agents in India for you.

  • Conclusion:

If any travel agent in India can be trusted for travel in the country or abroad, it is Swan Tours. In our 20 years journey, we have satisfied many people. Our professional team ensures your safety by providing all the facilities for the tour. We arrange customized tours as per your requirement. We will fulfill your travel wishes. Southern India

15 days | travel to the cultural and scenic highlights of southern india..

Local woman picking tea in a tea field, India

Lush and tropical, southern India is inspiring and delightful. Beneath the green shade of a coastal paradise, meet with locals in their fishing villages and tribal homes. Join them in the bazaars, on buses and boats, or even on pilgrimage in Madurai. From cultural sights like the Maharaja's Palace in Mysore to French-influenced Puducherry and the vast landscape of Periyar, southern India's spirituality, friendly people, and wild animal sanctuaries make it a fascinating part of the country to explore.

Trip overview

  • Discover the waterfalls, tea plantations and spice markets of South India’s Western Ghats, a jungle-clad mountain range older than the Himalaya and one of the most biodiverse regions in the world.
  • Known as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’, Kochi is a fascinating blend of Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch and English influences, and is best explored by ferry.
  • Step back in time among the iridescent hills of the very British ‘Snooty Ooty’ – home of snooker and the charming Nilgiri toy train.
  • Search for elusive wildlife, including elephants, sloths, and birds on safari around one of the best places in India to observe nature up close – Periyar National Park.
  • Experience a unique way of life with a family homestay and home-cooked meals in the idyllic backwaters of Kerala.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, Positive Change for Marine Life. Donations help them to nurture ocean health with community-led conservation initiatives that inspire coastal restoration, sustainable fishing practices and waste-managemen
  • This trip is packed full of sights and experiences, including many main highlights of southern India along with plenty of insights into local life. There is an extensive amount of travel and a number of single-night stays to ensure you can fit as much as possible.
  • This adventure uses a variety of transport options, including train and bus travel for up to 8 hours. There is also an included overnight sleeper train from Mysore to Mamallapuram, so be sure to have a book, some podcasts, and your best travel games ready.
  • Sleeper trains a quintessential Indian experience and a great way to travel long distances while still getting maximum time in each place. With the experience can come some unpredictability – there are occasional delays or even cancellations. Beds are padded berths with sheets, pillow, and blanket provided (although some people prefer to bring their own sleeping sheet). Please note that you may be sharing with locals of the same or opposite gender. See the Transport section of the Essential Trip Information for more detail about train travel in India or this guide for more about train travel around the world: https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/overnight-train-travel-around-the-world/
  • Up in the Western Ghats, it can be surprisingly cool at night, especially in winter. Check weather reports before you go to help with your packing, and remember too to bring modest clothing (ie. pants or skirts that go below the knees and tops that cover your arms) for our visits to religious sites in particular.
  • Part of travelling with Intrepid means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments. You’ll be visiting a few temples throughout your adventure, so please ensure that you’re dressed appropriately with legs and shoulders covered.

Your Indian adventure starts today in Kochi with a welcome meeting at 6 pm. If you arrive in Kochi early, there are plenty of things to see and do. Once an important spice-trading centre, Kochi has been under Portuguese, Dutch and British rule at various times throughout history. Explore with one of our Urban Adventures or wander down to the shore and seek out the huge Chinese fishing nets dotted along the coast of Fort Cochin.

  • Hotel (1 night)

There are no meals included on this day.

It’s very important that you attend the welcome meeting as we will be collecting insurance details and next of kin information at this time. If you are going to be late please let your travel agent or hotel reception know. Ask reception or look for a note in the lobby for more information on where the meeting will take place.

This morning, take on Kochi with a leader-led orientation tour. Take a local tuk tuk to Mattancherry and drop by the Dutch Palace, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century before it was renovated and presented to the Rajas of Cochin by the Dutch. Pay an optional visit to Paradesi Synagogue – the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth and home to many rare antiques. Then amble around the spice bazaars and antique stores of Fort Cochin. In the evening, experience a Kathakali performance. This Keralan dance is an ornately costumed display of storytelling, requiring complete control of the body.

  • Kochi - Leader-led Fort Kochi walking tour
  • Kochi - Dutch Palace
  • Kochi - Kathakali performance
  • Kochi - Jewish Synagogue - INR5

Buckle up, because most of today is spent travelling. Catch a 3.5-hour train to Coimbatore, before travelling by private vehicle to Conoor, where dinner is included at your accommodation tonight.

Spend the morning in Conoor with an orientation walk and a visit to a tea plantation to learn about the history of tea production. Later board Ooty’s renowned toy train for a ride along the Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Be sure to get a window seat for great views over the lush countryside. In nearby Conoor, visit a tea plantation to learn about the history of tea production. Spend the rest of the day exploring Ooty’s Botanical Gardens, which are home to over 650 species of plants and trees. Alternatively, get a little bit romantic with a boat ride on the lake.

  • Ooty - Nilgiri Mountain Railway & Tea Plantation visit
  • Ooty - Botanical Gardens - INR50
  • Ooty - Boat ride - INR200

Take a private vehicle for the short drive to Bandipur today. Set against the backdrop of the Nilgiri Hills, Mudumalai National Park was once the Mysore Maharaja's private hunting ground. In 1974 it was brought under Project Tiger and is now one of the best sanctuaries in India to observe wildlife in close proximity. Embark on a short safari in search of tigers, leopards, elephants, sloth bears, sambars, spotted deer, and much more. There's also an amazing variety of birdlife in the park. Tonight’s family-run accommodation in Bandipur is a mixed-gender dormitory style with a common bathroom. This dorm room is only open to your group.

  • Jungle Lodge (1 night)
  • Bandipur - National Park Safari

Travel by private vehicle across the scenic Karnataka plains to Mysore, stopping to share a biryani lunch with local Loval host and family. Mysore is an easy-going town with a pleasant climate, perfect for wandering around on foot. Your leader will provide an orientation walk for you to get your bearings. A visit to Mysore is incomplete without a look around Mysore Palace. One of the most ornate palaces in India, its interior is full of colour, mosaics, and mirrors.

  • Mysore - Home cooked lunch & family visit
  • Mysore - Maharaja's Palace
  • Mysore - Leader-led walking tour

This morning, head out of Mysore and climb Chamundi Hill to the Sri Chamundeswari Temple, dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Durga. Continue on to the Keshava Temple in the small town of Somnathpur – an excellent example of Hoysala architecture. You’ll also have some time to pay an optional visit to Tipu Sultan’s mausoleum in Srirangapatna, or instead, return to Mysore for a palm reading or to catch a film at the local cinema. Tonight, board an 11-hour overnight sleeper train to Chennai.

  • Overnight Sleeper Train (1 night)
  • Mysore - Keshava Temple
  • Mysore - Chamundi Hill & Temple
  • Mysore - Cinema - INR100
  • Mysore - Tipu Sultan's Mausoleum - INR500

Part of travelling with Intrepid means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments. You’ll be visiting a few temples today, so please ensure that you’re dressed appropriately with legs and shoulders covered.

Sleeper trains in India are clean and air-conditioned, and beds are padded berths with sheets, pillow, and blanket provided (although some travellers prefer to bring their own sleeping sheet). Please also note that on the sleeper train you may be sharing with locals of the same or another gender.

After arriving in Chennai, take a private vehicle along the scenic East Coast Road to Mamallapuram. Explore this ancient seaport town by tuk tuk, paying a visit to the seventh-century Shore Temple and the enormous bas-relief rock carving, known as Arjuna's Penance. There will also be time to inspect the town’s numerous mandapams (pillared temple pavilions), watch local stonemasons at work, or just to kick back and relax at a beachside restaurant.

  • Mamallapuram - Shore Temples guided tour

Travel by private vehicle for 5 hours through palm trees and rice paddies to Puducherry (Pondicherry). On arrival, head out with your group and leader on a walking tour to see local temples, the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, and the French Quarter. Once a French colony, you’ll see evidence of French influence in Puducherry's architecture, its wide town squares, and even in the uniforms of the police.

  • Puducherry - Leader-led French Quarter walking tour

Transfer by taxi to the railway station at Villupuram and board a train to the temple city of Madurai (approximately 6 hours). Madurai’s Tamil roots stretch back 2500 years, making it one of the oldest cities in India. Wander the lamp-lit labyrinth of the Sri Meenakshi Amman Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and goddess Meenakshi. Visit the Gandhi Memorial Museum, which displays a detailed account of India’s struggle for independence along with the bloodstained dhoti the famous leader wore when he was assassinated.

  • Madurai - Sri Meenakshi Temple
  • Madurai - Gandhi Museum - Free

Part of travelling with Intrepid means respecting local cultures and sensibilities. That way you get the most out of your interactions with local people and environments. You’ll be visiting some temples today, so please ensure that you’re dressed appropriately with legs and shoulders covered. Also, please respect local guidelines and rules, including no cameras or photography.

This morning, travel by private vehicle along a winding road to the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. High in the ranges of the Western Ghats, the park is set among stunning scenery and is the most popular wildlife sanctuary in Southern India. Both today and tomorrow, you’ll get to explore the national park on foot and will understand why Periyar is a popular wilderness sanctuary because of its lush surroundings. Enjoy a tour of a local spice plantation. And then join our hosts at a local family and try some authentic home-cooked flavors in Southern India.

  • Periyar - Spice plantation visit
  • Periyar - Home cooked meal

Venture back into the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary today for a guided nature walk. Encounters with animals in the wild are never guaranteed, and this is more of a jungle walk than an animal spotting tour, but do look out for tiger tracks, spotted deer, Indian elephants, or gaur – the world's largest species of buffalo. In the afternoon, unwind with an optional ayurvedic massage at your accommodation, or just relax in this scenic setting with a drink in hand.

  • Periyar - National Park
  • Periyar - Guided nature walk
  • Periyar - Boat trip - INR650

Please note that the nature walk is usually the Green Zone walk in the Periyar National Park. Even though this park is a Tiger Reserve, tigers are extremely rare and shy in Periyar. Your nature walk is nonetheless a fascinating experience, as the local guides are villagers who have lived in the area for generations and are very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna of the area.

Temperatures and humidity can be high in southern India, especially when walking around sites like the Periyar. Be prepared by taking plenty of drink breaks and wearing appropriate skin protection. Your nature walk will start early, but it does get quite hot and humid in the late morning.

Travelling by private vehicle, pass through the rubber, tea, and coffee plantations on the way to the backwaters of Kerala. Board a motorboat to cross to the island village where you’ll stay with a local family tonight. In the late afternoon, explore the island with a local English-speaking guide, and sometimes your homestay host! This is a great chance to meet locals and learn more about their unique way of life. Take a leisurely punt boat ride around the waterways and enjoy the scenery. In the evening, share stories and a traditional home-cooked Keralan meal with your host family.

  • Homestay (1 night)
  • Kerala Backwaters - Pole boat ride
  • Kerala Backwaters - Village walk

In Kerala, a homestay is similar to a local guesthouse where the family usually live on site. Accommodation is twin-share, with a private bathroom. Delicious local meals are cooked in-house by your hosts.

Wake early, before crossing the backwaters by private boat to Alleppey. From here, take a 2-hour local bus back to Kochi. The rest of the day is free for you to choose your own adventure. Perhaps you’d like to stroll down Princess Street for a spot of shopping, or book yourself into a southern Indian cooking class – your group leader will have some other recommendations, so be sure to ask them. Tonight, why not gather together with your group and have a night out at a local restaurant. Whatever you do, be sure to snack on a pazham pori (fried fritter of banana or plantain) while you explore the city.

With no activities planned for today, you are able to leave the accommodation at any time.

5 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 3 dinners

Auto rickshaw, Boat, Bus, Cycle rickshaw, Ferry, Overnight sleeper train, Private vehicle, Train

Homestay (1 night), Hotel (11 nights), Jungle lodge (1 nights), Overnight sleeper train (1 night)

Domestic border restrictions have ended for nearly all States, meaning you:

  • don’t need to apply for a border pass
  • won’t need a Covid test
  • won’t need to quarantine

However, some States and service operators do require proof of vaccination. So all that is required to travel for most Discover Australia packages is to be fully vaccinated. Even WA has now opened up! It is expected that any remaining temporary restrictions will end or ease over coming weeks – since all governments have detailed strategies to live with Covid and to enable their tourism industry to flourish again. See current travel requirements here .

Many travel insurance providers are now offering good cover for Covid, including:

  • Travel disruptions and additional expenses due to Covid
  • Positive Covid test before travel
  • Positive Covid test during travel (including need to change travel arrangements / isolation)
  • Cancellation Cover
  • Medical expenses cover

Insurance cover can be very inexpensive, like only $150 for three weeks in Europe # . We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance with Covid cover. Following are some insurance companies: Medibank | TID | AHM | NIB Book now to secure the best deal and biggest savings. Use part of your Early Bird savings to pay for your travel insurance!

Can you book my international airfares?

On some Islands Holiday Packages (e.g. Fiji), it is practical to include flights, so where we have done this it is indicated by the plane icon.

However, on the majority of our Holiday Packages, we do not include international flights.

We found that many customers may prefer to:

  • Travel on a specific airline of their choice
  • Have the flexibility to book flights with Frequent Flyer points
  • Select flight dates that may be different to our Holiday Package start/end dates
  • Use a Travel Credit already held with the airline
  • Use their travel agent for this service

We are able to assist with flights on any Holiday Package, so please just notify us during the Book Now process or contact our team.

Should I take travel insurance?

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. During the Book Now process please confirm you require assistance, and our team will be in contact with you.

What should I do before travelling?

Before you travel it is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation including visas. If you are travelling on a passport other than Australian or New Zealand, you will require a permit to re-enter Australia. It is your responsibility as the traveller and/or travel booker to meet all government entry requirements.
