The Visor Center is a free resource where you can get support for your academic and personal success all in one spot.
Monday - Thursday : 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday : 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday : Closed
Sunday : 4 to 8 p.m.
The Visor Center is located on the lower level of the Vrooman Center, between Manchester and Hewett Halls.

Casting call for Illinois State episode of “The College Tour”

Illinois State will be featured in season six of “ The College Tour ,” a television series that is broadcast globally through Amazon Prime Video and other streaming platforms. The series is produced and directed by an Emmy-winning team from Mark Burnett Productions, a company that pioneered reality television series like “Survivor” and “Undercover Boss.” The Illinois State episode of “The College Tour” will feature the individual stories of ten students from a wide variety of majors, activities, and personal interests.
Casting for the episode has begun and filming begins in the first week of April 2022. The director and producers are looking for fun and engaging students to submit a video (under 2 minutes in length) telling them why you would be the perfect student to help tell the story of Illinois State University.
Some of the featured topics of the video will include (but are not limited to):
- Involvement in RSOs
- The quality of student life and healthy lifestyles
- Your major and classes
- Sustainability
- Civic engagement
- Bloomington-Normal as a great college town
- Your original idea (please add to your video)
Submit your video no later than February 13 to share your story. Casting has already begun, so submit your video for immediate consideration. We are looking forward to seeing you on the upcoming Illinois State episode of “The College Tour!”

Illinois State University's episode of The College Tour made its premiere during a red carpet event, Tuesday, September 13, at the Normal Theater. The cast of the episode, students, and staff attended the premiere in style and showed off their Redbird pride.
