Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle Add Dates to Joint Tour

Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle have expanded their joint Sessanta Tour. The grouping of bands has added eight new stops to their impending run, which will pick up with a pair of appearances slated for Boston’s Boch Center Wang Theatre on April 2 and 3. 

After the newly added tour openers, the musical groups will move to the Premier Theatre at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., for their follow-up on April 5. The next night, they’ll take part in a stand at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, N.J. From there, the band will pick up a slew of already-announced gigs, including two sold-out nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on April 25 and 26. 

Following their time in Morrison, Colo., the band will pick up another string of freshly tacked-on appearances, including an April 30 show at Azura Amphitheatre in Bonner Springs, Kan. They’ll stop at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena next, followed by a Pine Knob Music Theatre performance on May 2. 

Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle’s final added stop will occur on May 4 at  Forest Hills Stadium in Forest Hills, N.Y. Tickets for all newly announced dates go on sale this Friday, November 3, at 10 a.m. local time, with local pre-sales available on Thursday from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. local time. About primus.

Primus is an American rock band based in San Francisco, California, currently composed of bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde and drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander. Primus originally formed in 1984 with Claypool and guitarist Todd Huth, later joined by drummer Jay Lane, though the latter two departed the band at the end of 1988. Featuring LaLonde and Alexander, Primus recorded their debut Suck on This in 1989, followed by four studio albums: Frizzle Fry, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, Pork Soda, and Tales from the Punchbowl. Alexander left the band in 1996, replaced by Bryan "Brain" Mantia, and Primus went on to record the original theme song for the TV show South Park and two more albums, Brown Album and Antipop, before declaring a hiatus in 2000. In 2003, Claypool and LaLonde reunited with Alexander and released a DVD/EP, Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People, before touring sporadically through 2009. In 2010, Lane rejoined Primus, replacing Alexander, and the band released their seventh album, Green Naugahyde, in 2011. In 2013, Lane left the band to focus on other projects, and Tim Alexander rejoined once again. They have released some of their records on Claypool's own label Prawn Song Records. Primus is characterized by its irreverent, quirky approach to music. Robert Christgau once remarked: "[Primus is] quite possibly the strangest top-10 band ever, and good for them."

FIND A SESSANTA TOUR DATE NEAR YOU

The Sessanta tour kicks off at Arizona’s Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre before heading to California for three nights. Stops will include the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theatre in Berkeley — as well as The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego . This will be the second time in ten years that the members of Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Primus will share the same stage. Last time it was for Maynard James Keenan’s 50th birthday celebration — which was fully intended to be a one-time special performance. But now the bands are back for the lead singer’s 60th birthday and have cooked up what will no doubt be another legendary night. If you missed out on Cinquanta you absolutely cannot miss Sessanta!

Tickets for Sessanta  go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 15th at 10am local time.

A Primus presale starts on Thursday, September 14th at 10am local time.

The promoter presale and Live Nation-Hewitt Silva presale both open on Thursday, September 14th at 10am local time.

What Is The Sessanta Presale Code?

Fans who want to purchase tickets for Sessanta through presales have a couple of options!

Primus Presale

The Primus presale starts on Thursday, September 14th at 10am local time . Once you’ve selected your preferred tour date , you’ll need to sign up for the band’s mailing list on their official website , after which you’ll receive details on the presale code. Or you can check back with us for the presale code. We’ll add it to this post if it’s not a unique code.

Live Nation   Presale

A Live Nation presale will take place on  Thursday, September 14th at 10am local time . To access the promoter presale, pick a  Sessanta tour date  and then use the following presale code to access the presale tickets:  STUDIO .

LNHS Presale

For fans in Los Angeles headed to the Hollywood Bowl date, a Live Nation-Hewitt Silva venue presale will take place on  Thursday, September 14th at 10am local time . In order to access that presale,  select your seat  and use the following presale code:  LNHS .

Venue Presale

Fans also have a venue presale option that will take place Thursday, September 14th at 10am local time . To get the presale code, you should first decide your desired tour date . Then go to the venue’s website to sign up for their newsletter so you can receive the presale code.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account ( go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page ) at least 15 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one,  create one now .

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resell tickets through Ticketmaster’s resell program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend , and see if they have any resell tickets available. We recommend you compare the three options and find out which works best for you.

Alternatively, you can hit it old school style and show up at the concert when the box office opens and wish upon a star that they release more tickets, or hopefully, another concert-goer has an extra ticket to sell at face-value or even giveaway for free. Trust, this happens more often than not! We’ve given away many tickets to sold-out shows simply because our +1 couldn’t make it.

Also, more standard tickets are often released via Ticketmaster 1-3 days leading up to the show date. We’ve seen it with Beyonce , Taylor Swift , Arctic Monkeys and many more! It’s a secret gatekeeped by many, but if you’re reading this, now you know! So be sure to set your calendar notifications!
