Wild Horse Brewing Co is based in the seaside town of Llandudno on the North Wales coast. We brew modern craft beer with balance, drinkability and flavour at the heart of our brewing philosophy.

Established in 2015, after being inspired by the US craft beer revolution, we set out to make great craft beer for North Wales. Now in our seventh year, our team of nine is incredibly passionate about what they do and are extremely proud to see our beers served across our region and beyond.

Having brewed a wider range of styles in our early years, our focus is now on hop forward, hazy IPAs and pale ales, alongside our pilsner-style lager Buckskin.

Wineries and Breweries in

One industry that is keeping pace with the tourism growth of the Broken Bow area is that of Wineries and Breweries in Hochatown.  Formerly known as Oklahoma’s moonshine capital, Hochatown has a history of being a very “spirited” community.  It’s not surprising that it still is today!  Gone is the “high octane” moonshine of the early 1900’s.  In its place, cold brews and smooth wine.

But please…be safe…and don’t drink and drive.

Wild Horse Brewing Co is based in the seaside town of Llandudno on the North Wales coast. We brew modern craft beer with balance, drinkability and flavour at the heart of our brewing philosophy.

Established in 2015, after being inspired by the US craft beer revolution, we set out to make great craft beer for North Wales. Now in our tenth year, our team of 11 is incredibly passionate about what they do and are extremely proud to see our beers served across our region and beyond.

Our beer is brewed in small 16HL batches at our Llandudno brewery and our small team does everything onsite from milling our grain right through to kegging and canning. Our beers are unfiltered, unpasteurised and vegan friendly.

North Wales is our home and we love brewing craft beer in this beautiful corner of the world. We draw inspiration from our surroundings and we channel that into our beer and artwork.

Wild Horse opens the doors to new Llandudno taproom

Wild Horse Brewing Co, which opened in Llandudno 2015, has opened a taproom next door to its brewery, offering up to ten of its own beers, as well as other drinks and snacks.

All drinks and snacks — including ciders, wine, speciality craft beers, and snacks — will be sourced from independent businesses, with a strong emphasis on supporting Welsh producers.

There will also be a rotating line-up of street food vendors every Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturdays.

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Llandudno with the launch of our taproom,” said Dave Faragher, founder and managing director of Wild Horse Brewing Co .

“Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome to enjoy quality craft beverages and delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.”

Taproom manager, Callum Sharples, added: “The taproom will focus on delivering a world class taproom experience in the first instance, before working on hosting regular events and collaborations with local artists and organisations, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting to experience.”

When guiding a group of kayakers on Flathead Lake, Hunter Oliver likes to point out the wildlife, such as nesting ospreys, bighorn sheep and elusive otters.  

Other guides prefer covering historical events or significant people. Whatever the topic, it’s a unique experience offered by Sea Me Paddle, which also offers rentals, based out of Lakeside.  

Recently, Sea Me Paddle has found new ownership in Justin and Kelsey Flake. With Kelsey’s encouragement, Justin left his career as a stockbroker in October of 2023 to buy the company from the former owners, BJ and Joli Johnson.  

“This was really a passion project for the original owners and we're trying to match their enthusiasm,” said Justin. “They loved doing this and had it all figured out. The tours run really smoothly.” 

The business, under Tour Glacier, also offers a variety of tours in Glacier National Park and winter tours around the Flathead Valley.  

Suitably, the couple avidly spends their free time outdoors, so most days hardly feel like work, they said.  

“It's energizing,” said Justin. “Right now, I work seven days and sometimes 80 hours per week. Honestly, I never complain about it. We're in the business of helping people to have fun. Almost everybody we come in contact with is on vacation and they're all in a great mood and really excited to be here, so it's rewarding. We get to feed off that positivity all day long.” 

Groups are kept close together and have two guides, but sometimes three depending on the tour’s size. After receiving a safety demonstration, kayakers set out for an adventure of their choosing. Some excursions include Cedar Island, Whitefish Lake, and Somers Bay, but the outfitter’s most popular tour is Wild Horse Island where kayakers learn about the island’s geographical, cultural and biological wonders.  

Since taking over, Justin and Kelsey have found that tourists enjoy the concierge experience and seeing sights as the locals do, so in addition to their outdoor adventures, the Flakes have started offering brewery, rodeo and baseball tours. For their winter rodeo tour, skiers are picked up from Big Mountain and eat at Piggyback Barbecue before heading out with a rodeo savvy tour guide. 

“Our tour guide grew up on a ranch doing rodeo, so he knows everything about it and has so many stories and tells tourists what to expect,” said Justin. “This winter, we had a dozen people from Philadelphia and none of them had ever been to a rodeo. The Brash Family has been very friendly with us so they organized the clown and the rodeo queen and princesses to take pictures with us. Our group got such a kick out of it.” 

A family business, Kelsey and Justin’s four children often accompany them and help run tours. 

“We love the idea of having a family business,” said Kelsey.    

“Our son who's a junior went on a winter tour with us, and he took the responsibility of helping this older lady. She needed more help, and he was there to assist. He still talks about her,” said Justin. 

In addition to the kayak rentals and tours, the company offers winter adventures like back-country skiing, snowshoeing, and driving tours of Glacier National Park all of which operate under the name Tour Glacier. On tours, guests have been lucky enough to see moose, bald eagles, bears, and other wildlife.  

“In March, I spent 26 out of 30 days in the park which was just like a dream,” said Justin. “On a snowshoeing tour, we saw moose tracks in the forest and then we got up on this ridge and while we were overlooking these beaver dams, ponds, and the mountains, this girl turns to me and she says, ‘I think this is the coolest thing I've ever done.’ And, I said, ‘Me too.’ It was just an amazing day.”

King charles' guard horse bites unsuspecting tourist, king charles' guard horse chomps down hard on tourist.

A female tourist in the UK is likely regretting one stop on her tour of London ... as she had an unfortunate encounter with one of King Charles ' guard horses.

Check it out ... the woman barely has time to pose for a pic with the horse outside the Household Cavalry Museum when it chomps down on her arm -- prompting her to jump away and yell out in pain. The situation escalated when the tourist went down to the ground in pain, with police arriving to check on her.

While the incident is an unfortunate one, the woman was warned about the risk of injury ... in fact, you can peep the beware message in the video.

Watch the clip ... you can see a sign that reads "BEWARE: Horses may kick or bite," directly next to the horse and his guard.

This isn't the first time one of the horses in the King's stable has had an unfortunate run-in with a tourist. For those unfamiliar, it's a big no-no to touch the animal or the watchman ... though, that hasn't stopped a number of tourists from trying to grab onto the reins.

However, this recent incident appears to be just an unfortunate situation ... as the woman was a respectful distance from the steed.

Silver lining??? This makes for one hell of a vacation story!!!
