The bike tour starts in the center of Budapest near Deák square. At the first stop we give you useful orientation and summary of Budapest’s past and present. 

From Deak square we bike along the prettiest avenue of Budapest, Andrassy road, which is listed as UNESCO world heritage. We stop to see and explain about the State Opera House and with a pleasant ride soon arrive to Heroes’ square .

With all the statues of Hungary’s most famous statesman we are in the right place to explain and let you understand the origins and past of Hungarian nation. 

We enter the lush City park and passing the lake, arrive to the Vajdahunyad Castle where you can admire Hungarian architecture.

During our bike ride back to the center we stop at the House of Terror and St.Stephen’s Basilica .

Soon we make a turn towards the House of Parliament , but before arriving there we stop by at Szabadság square, where you will see and learn about a Soviet army memorial .

Then we ride along the Danube, an amazing bike route with great scenery.

We always stop at each site, so there’s plenty of time to take great pictures!

The tour starts in all weather conditions. In case of rain we provide rain ponchos free of charge. In case of very severe rain/thunderstorm we might wait until it stops in a dry place. Please dress according to the daily weather forecast and bring warm clothes, jacket if necessary.

The city, created in 1873 from a merger of the three neighboring cities of Pest, Buda and Óbuda, is also full of history and if it’s just a weekend visit a bike means you can see most landmarks. There are also some good bike lanes, scenic paths and historic routes to check out too – plus some hills if you like a challenge. This bike tour is a tantalizing trip around Budapest’s most significant and spectacular sightseeing attractions.

You’ll be stunned at the beauty of Szabadsag Tér (Liberty Square), boasting Art Nouveau-style buildings, monuments, and memorials of Reagan, the Soviet War and German occupation, all nestling beautiful lawns and paths. This square has been the site of a barracks and a setting for revolution.

You’ll ride on the icon of Budapest – the stunning Hungarian Parliament – picture-perfect as it casts its reflection in the gorgeous blue Danube. Sitting in Buda, the Parliament is an awe-inspiring mix of Baroque, Gothic Revival and Renaissance Revival architecture unlike any building you’ll have seen before.

Cycling along Nagymezö Utca, you’ll understand its nickname ‘Broadway of Budapest’. The Operetta Theatre boasts a beautiful façade, and the whole avenue is alive with boutique cafes and theater-goers weaving amongst the urban flower beds. Here, there’s a chance to see the Walk of Fame, House of Photography, and the quirky ‘Laptop Statue’!

Andrassy Street is one of Budapest’s cultural hubs, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. Here, cycle to the House of Terror, cast your eyes over a remnant of the Berlin Wall, witness the Opera House, and learn from your guide chilling stories of life behind the ‘Iron Curtain’. A brief pedal through Liszt Ferenc square allows for a spot of window-shopping at the Gucci and Luis Vuitton stores.

Riding on, your bicycle tour takes you to Hôsök Tere, ‘Heroes Square’. This is one of the iconic sites of Budapest, once home to enormous communist parades, and still bursting with history. What are we going to see?

On this Budapest bike tour, we’ll show you all the important sights of Pest on an easy-paced ride. From the river bank we’ll make sure that you catch a glimpse of beautiful Buda, too. Instead of overloading you with mind-numbing dates we prefer sharing all the basic info, fun facts and insider stories with you. We’ll pass 2 UNESCO- World Heritage Sites on our tour and see much more than that on our way. At Budabike, safety comes first, that is why we cycle on bike lanes whenever possible and avoid roads with heavy traffic. Get up close and personal with Budapest – by bike! Hôsök Tere: (Heroes Square) Impressive, historic square where big communist parades and gatherings took place in the past. We’ll hear about archangel Gabriel’s legend, see the most important figures of Hungarian history as well as two art museums and more.

Városliget (City Park) We’ll stop by Vajdahunyad Castle, Dracula, Anonymus, the Tree of Freedom, George Washington, the biggest thermal bath of Budapest (Széchenyi) and the zoo.

Jewish Quarter and Basilica We’ll discover the 7th district with the biggest Synagouge of Europe, the Tree of Life, the most popular street of Pest, ruin pubs and gastro bars. Stories about the heaviest bell of the city, a mummified hand, the number 96 and more.
