He’s so knowledgeable about the facts of Celtic, knowing every detail about former players to current players. He’s funny as well and more enthusiastic about when “Celtic beat Rangers” in any game no matter what competition it was. Also thanks to Robert for taking his time to take photos for everyone on my tour including myself. Robert might be looking for another job (Photography part time)! I would do the tour again. Celtic FC - History

The white-green club from the Scottish capital was founded on 6 November 1887 and has historically been an important team for the Catholic part of the city while the Protestant side has held on to the club's other major team, the Rangers. Together, in addition to the biting rivalry between them, both clubs have always dominated the Scottish league and the domestic cups.

The club with nicknames such as "the Bhoys" and "the Celts" had it's first big era of glory in the 1960s and then became, among other things, the first British club to win the European Cup, the tournament that today has been transformed and renamed into the Champions League.

Celtic FC is perhaps one of the most famous clubs for us Swedes. In 1997, Henrik Larsson joined the club, and made sure to break the Glasgow Rangers' long suite of league titles as early as 1998. Rangers were a step away from taking "Ten in a row" (10 straight league titles) and the joy knew no bounds when Celtic had to be the one to stop that milestone!

With Henrik Larsson's unimaginable success in Celtic FC, enormous interest was born around himself as a person and also for the club. With a total of 173 goals in 221 games, he is forever a legend in the white-green part of Glasgow.

After Henrik Larsson's move in 2004, Swedes such as Johan Mjällby, Fredrik Ljungberg, Mikael Lustig and most recently John Guidetti have applied to the club.
