Tour itinerary, day 1 haridwar – barkot.

Morning meet our representative at your Hotel / Airport / Railway Station. After some basic information start your journey to   Barkot . Later drive to Barkot . Check into the hotel arrival in Barkot.   Overnight stay at Barkot .   (Meals: Dinner)

Day 2 Barkot - Janakichatti - Yamunotri - Jankichatti - Barkot

Early morning after breakfast, drive to   Jankichatti   / Phoolchatti. Start your trek from here to   Yamunotri   (6kms) ( Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost ). After arrival at   Yamunotri   take bath in warm waters of   Surya Kund (Hot Spring) . Enjoy Darshan of"Yamunaji". Return trek to   Jankichatti . Later drive towards   Barkot . Day 3 Barkot – Uttarkashi

Morning after breakfast, relax for a while. Later drive to   Uttarkashi . Visit Shivgufa on the way to Uttarkashi. In   Uttarkashi   visit   Kashi Vishwanath Temple . After that, check in hotel. Day free for rest.   Overnight stay at Uttarkashi .   (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 4 Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 kms each side)

Early morning after breakfast, drive to   Gangotri . On the way visit Gangnani Hot Spring. Take a holy dip in Kund. Later drive to   Gangotri   via beautiful Harsil valley. On arrival at Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later return drive to  Uttarkashi . Overnight   stay at Uttarkashi .   (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 5 Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

Morning after breakfast, drive to   Guptkashi . Enroute you can see the beautiful   river Mandakini   at   Tilwara . The   Mandakini River   comes from   Kedarnath , drive alongside the river to reach   Guptakashi , visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in   Guptkashi . Overnight stay at Guptkashi.   (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 6 Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath

Morning after breakfast, today we will go to   Kedarnath . To reach Kedarnath you will have two options. One if by trekking and other is by Air via Helicopter ( at your own cost ).

By Helicopter:   Morning our driver will transfer you to your Helipad location ( Phata ,  Guptkashi ,  Sirsi  etc) as per helicopter ticket time. Kindly inform the driver timings of helicopter mentioned on the ticket previous day. Different aviation has different location for their helicopter service. Our driver will provide you both pick and drop to hotel . Kindly inform the driver timings of helicopter mentioned on the ticket. Advance booking is highly recommended for the helicopter.

By Trek:   To reach  Kedarnath  by trekking route first you have to reach  Gaurikund . We will drive to  Sonprayag  early in the morning after breakfast. Our car will drop to  Sonprayag . From  Sonprayag  5 kms drive to  Gaurikund  local jeep is available. This sharing basis jeeps guests can book directly at own cost.  Gaurikund  to  Kedarnath  is further 14 Kms trek .

After reaching the  Kedarnath visit Kedarnath Temple . Check in to the hotel/ashram. Visit Shankaracharya Samadhi. Overnight stay at Kedarnath. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 7 Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi

Morning after breakfast explore nearby areas by walk at Kedarnath. Later reach Guptkashi as per your choice by trek or Helicopter. 

By Helicopter:  Inform the driver when you leave for  Kedarnath  about your approximate return time and helipad name according to ticket. Our driver will pick up you from helipad and transfer you to your hotel.

By Trek:  Inform the driver approximate return time. Once you reach  Gaurikund  from  Kedarnath  by trek you can take local jeep till  Sonprayag . Our driver will meet here. Due to parking issue keep driver’s contact number with you and call him when you reach  sonprayag  so he can pick you up. 

Gaurikund  to  Sonprayag  local jeep at your own cost. Get packed breakfast from hotel to start early. Horse / Pony / Palakhi is also available for trekking at  Gaurikund.  Guests can book that at own cost.

At arrival check in to hotel in Guptkashi. Overnight stay at Guptkashi. (Meals: Dinner)

Day 8 Guptkashi – Joshimath – Badrinath

Morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath . Check in to the hotel arrival in Badrinath. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in evening. Overnight stay at Badrinath. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)

Day 9 Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag

Morning enjoy the after breakfast, drive for   Rudraprayag   via Joshimath. Visit on the way Darshan of   VishuPrayag ,   Narsingh Temple in Joshimath ,   KarnPrayag   and   NandPrayag . Day 10 Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar

• There is no deluxe facilities in Kedarnathji due to high altitude. There only serve you bed system.
• As per the directive given by the Government of India, all Indian/Foreign Nationals are required to provide proper proof of identification upon check-in. valid identifications documents are: Passport & Visa together, Voters Id card, Current Drivers License, Aadhar Card. All the documents must include a photograph.
• Hotel / camps or any kind of accommodation can deny stay if valid id proof is not provided. Company is not responsible for any ID proof related issues.
• Generally hotel check in time is 14:00 hrs and checkout time is 11:00 hrs across India. Confirm early check in or late checkout will be chargeable if not included in cost. Kindly contact hotel directly if you want complimentary early check in or late check out.
• If meals are included in package it will be served at set menu basis in a buffet menu / fixed / meal credit. Any items which are not in their in ideal Buffet / Fixed menu will be charged extra at the time of consumption. Hotels decide the menu and options of items for menu. Some hotels having Meal credit policy instead of Buffet or
• Fixed Menu during low occupancy in hotel – This meal credit amount is decided by hotel management – if bills goes above the given meal credit amount then extra amount should be paid directly at respective hotel. • Indian type food only and most of the standard and deluxe hotels give thali if meals are included in package.
• Breakfast Timing: 07:00 Am to 09:00 AM And Dinner: 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM (About the timing you can contact hotel management before.)
• Normally for extra bed on double sharing rooms many hotels has rollaway bed while rest of the hotels provide extra mattress only. If you are not comfortable with mattress system instead of bed let us know in advance.
• In hill areas or Chardham many hotels don’t have ac so if you insist ac only kindly confirm with the company regarding the same. Lift facility & power back up is not available in most of the hotels in Chardham. Wifi facility and room heater is mostly chargeable but don’t expect good wifi in Chardham hotels due to network issues most of the time.
• Most of the hotels in Chardham are not running full year so don’t expect similar service and room quality like you get in Haridwar-Rishikesh in the same price range. Especially in may June and other busy days the budget/standard hotels in Chardham can cost more than deluxe hotel in Haridwar-Rishikesh or Delhi. Also if you want to stay good hotels with good reviews you need to book at least 3 months before in may June and 1-2 month before in Oct Nov season as good hotels are mostly booked in advance by groups. In Kedarnath there is only basic dharamshala / budget hotel type basic facility only even if your package is luxury in Kedarnath don’t expect even deluxe rooms.

Vehicle Terms & Conditions:

• AC will not work in all hill areas or stopped / parked vehicle. Hill areas will start from Dehradun onwards as well from Rishikesh onwards and ac will not work beyond those points. If you want AC in the hills during road journey then the rates per vehicle A/C Per day at Hills are: Indigo/Dzire/Etios @ Rs 300 per day, Innova /Tavera/Bolero @ Rs 400 per day and Tempo 12 seater @ Rs 500 per day.
• Vehicle will be permitted to use for sightseeing points on the route and inside the city limits or which is mentioned in itinerary. For additional sightseeing, off route sightseeing, sightseeing not inside the city limits or substitute sightseeing kindly contact company. Refund is not possible if any particular sightseeing point is not covered. In case you want some excursions kindly inform company in advance or discuss these things with company rather than driver. All nearby sightseeing points should be covered together. However in case of sometime issues with some particular place we can adjust. In Chardham route some of the places are not on the way like Trijuginarayan , Lakhamandal , Auli , Kalimath , Neelkanth Mahadev , AdiBadri , Bhavishya Badri etc. Kindly contact directly to company in case you want to include these places rather than driver.
• Due to any reason if Vehicle breakdown due to technical reasons we will try our best to arrange another vehicle as soon as possible for the major problems. For minor problems which will not take much time vehicle will be repaired. Kindly cooperate.
• We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, closures/blockades due to political unrest or any such incidents.
• In case the driver is not cooperative kindly contact company on the spot.
• Driver will not drive on No-entry zones and should not be forced to drive on narrow streets or roads which can create traffic jam. Normal working hours of driver is 12 hrs in case you want services more than 12 hours in a day kindly inform us in advance.
• In some hill area roads driving after sunset and music is not allowed due to risk of life. Kindly cooperate for the same.
• Pick up and drop point will be one only (If multiple pickups and drop please mentions email conversation before booking)
• In case you want multiple visit to the some particular place kindly mention in advance because some places are having very high charges of parking.
• Tour destination / route cannot change without prior notice (Amended route and tour Destination rates may be change)
• The rates are subject to change, depending on the fluctuation of diesel/Petrol prices in India. If the prices increased more than 5 % than the time of booking we will increase the rate even if the rates are confirmed earlier.
• Company reserves the right to give you a similar car if the car you booked is unavailable.
• At many of the tourist destination / hill station - some of the road / shopping market / mall road have "NO ENTRY" for all / some bigger tourist vehicles depends on destination along with time restrictions also. In this kind of situation guest have to manage another available mode of transport with an additional cost and on direct payment basis, this cost is not included in ideal package inclusion.
• Some time vehicle parking area little far from the sightseeing spots. Guests need to reach the parking at their own cost.
• No refund for short stay or unveiled facilities.
• No cancellation or any refund will be made if situation is beyond our control, such as bad weather, landslide, climatic conditions or any other natural disaster, fire, any embargo, acts or decisions of government, political or national crisis, road blocks, heavy snow fall, acts of terrorism or other similar causes, strikes or problems at airlines, rails, buses, hotels or transporters, labor unrest, insolvency, business exigencies, operational and technical issues, route and flight cancellations or due to which the customer could not reach the destination and which is beyond our control.

Historic start for Char Dham Yatra 2024: Uttarkashi welcomes over 3,60,000 pilgrims

The Char Dham Yatra, which began on May 10 this year, encompasses the sacred Hindu pilgrimage circuit of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

In an extraordinary display of devotion, the Char Dham Yatra has seen a record-breaking influx of pilgrims to Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham within the first 15 days of the pilgrimage season. On Friday, 9,812 pilgrims visited Yamunotri Dham, while 13,602 made their way to Gangotri Dham. This surge in devotees brings the total to an impressive 3,63,537 visitors to these two holy sites since the doors opened.

Comparing these figures to previous years, the numbers highlight a significant increase in participation. In the same period in 2023, 1,97,413 pilgrims visited, and in 2022, 2,22,852 made the journey.

Despite the remarkable growth, the Char Dham Yatra has continued seamlessly and efficiently following the meticulous planning and coordination by district authorities.

District Magistrate Dr Meherban Singh Bisht has been at the forefront of ensuring the pilgrimage runs smoothly.

During his visits to various stops along the Gangotri Yatra route , he emphasized the necessity of keeping travel arrangements tight.

"No person should be allowed to travel without registration," Dr Bisht instructed officials, reinforcing the importance of organization and safety amid the large crowds.

Despite the surge in pilgrims and vehicles, the journey to the Dhams remains orderly.

Vehicles are managed at holding points and one-way gates to prevent congestion.

Adjustments in stopping places and timings have streamlined the flow of traffic, ensuring that the pilgrimage time remains consistent with normal days.

Uttarkashi, home to Yamunotri and Gangotri, has been a focal point of devotion as pilgrims flock to these revered sites.

The River Yamuna, originating from the Yamunotri Glacier, adds to the spiritual significance of the journey.

In view of the surge, the state government and administration have implemented stringent measures against unregistered travellers. Registration checks are being conducted at various checkpoints to manage the growing influx of pilgrims to the Dhams.

Char Dham Yatra 2024

The Char Dham Yatra started on May 10 as the doors of Kedarnath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri temples in the Garhwal Himalayas were opened for devotees on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya after remaining closed during the winter season. The doors of Kedarnath and Yamyunotri were opened at 7 am while the portals of Gangotri were opened at 12. 

Meanwhile, the doors of the Badrinath temple in the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand were opened for devotees on May 12. The doors opened at 6 am after two hours of rituals. The doors of the Badrinath temple were opened after six months amid the chanting of Vedic mantras, a pooja and beats of dhols and nagadas.

Registration for Char Dham Yatra ​ 

According to an earlier letter written to the chief secretaries of other states on April 30, VIP darshan was not to be allowed at the temples till May 25. Prior registration for the yatra is mandatory and devotees can have a darshan at the dhams only on the dates allotted to them at the time of registration, Raturi said.

Elderly devotees with a medical history should get themselves tested before embarking on the yatra and follow the guidelines issued by the Health Department of Uttarakhand, the chief secretary said.

The Char Dham Yatra holds profound spiritual significance in Hinduism. This journey typically occurs from April-May to October-November. It is believed that one should complete the Char Dham Yatra in a clockwise direction. Hence, the pilgrimage starts from Yamunotri, proceeds towards Gangotri, onto Kedarnath, and it finally ends at Badrinath. 

The journey can be completed by road or by air (helicopter services are available). The Char Dham Yatra, or pilgrimage, is a tour of four holy sites- Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. In Hindi, 'char' means four and 'dham' refers to religious destinations.

Historic start for Char Dham Yatra: Uttarkashi welcomes over 3,60,000 pilgrims

n an extraordinary display of devotion, the Char Dham Yatra has seen a record-breaking influx of pilgrims to Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham within the first 15 days of the pilgrimage season.

On Friday, 9,812 pilgrims visited Yamunotri Dham, while 13,602 made their way to Gangotri Dham. This surge in devotees brings the total to an impressive 3,63,537 visitors to these two holy sites since the doors opened.

Comparing these figures to previous years, the numbers highlight a significant increase in participation.

In the same period in 2023, 1,97,413 pilgrims visited, and in 2022, 2,22,852 made the journey.

Despite the remarkable growth, the Char Dham Yatra has continued seamlessly and efficiently following the meticulous planning and coordination by district authorities.

District Magistrate Dr Meherban Singh Bisht has been at the forefront of ensuring the pilgrimage runs smoothly.

During his visits to various stops along the Gangotri Yatra route, he emphasized the necessity of keeping travel arrangements tight.

"No person should be allowed to travel without registration," Dr Bisht instructed officials, reinforcing the importance of organization and safety amid the large crowds.

Despite the surge in pilgrims and vehicles, the journey to the Dhams remains orderly.

Vehicles are managed at holding points and one-way gates to prevent congestion.

Adjustments in stopping places and timings have streamlined the flow of traffic, ensuring that the pilgrimage time remains consistent with normal days.

The Char Dham Yatra, which began on May 10 this year, encompasses the sacred Hindu pilgrimage circuit of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

Uttarkashi, home to Yamunotri and Gangotri, has been a focal point of devotion as pilgrims flock to these revered sites.

The River Yamuna, originating from the Yamunotri Glacier, adds to the spiritual significance of the journey.

Pilgrimage season peaks in Uttarakhand for the Char Dham Yatra annually during the summers.

Char Dham yatra: Over 9.5 lakh pilgrims visit Uttarakhand; both tourist numbers and deaths hit a high

As many as 52 persons died due to heart attack

More than twice the number of tourists have visited the Char Dham in Uttarakhand this year, where yatra started in May. Kedarnath, which like Gangotri and Yamunotri, started receiving pilgrims on May 10, leads with 4.24 lakh visitors. However, the number of deaths has also risen. 

Till Friday, as per the state government's figures, 9.67 lakh pilgrims have visited and, as many as 52 persons, mostly aged above 60 years, died during this period due to heart attacks. Kedarnath leads here too with 23 deaths. In 2023, 23 people died on a single day in Kedarnath due to heavy snowfall. Last year, a total of 56 lakh persons took the yatra and 223 pilgrims died.

On Friday, a chopper en route to Kedarnath, carrying six pilgrims from Tamil Nadu, developed a fault in its hydraulic system but, there were no casualties. 

Vinay Shankar Pandey, the Commissioner of Garhwal said, “We had to stop pilgrims from proceeding upwards for a week, but now things are streamlined." This, he said, was the result of people reaching Uttarakhand and then registering for the yatra. Rishikesh and Haridwar are the most popular starting points for the yatra. According to government orders, the concerned officers will be answerable if visitors reach the state before the allotted date of the yatra. For now, all registrations are on hold till May 31. 

In addition, there have been incidents of fake registrations and FIRs have been registered against 10 tour operators.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed that special attention be paid to cleanliness and sector magistrates are required to provide updates every two hours.

Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Mandir Samiti chairperson, Ajendra Ajay said, “The number of tourists has been beyond capacity. This led to some initial difficulties. Government measures have now smoothened things”.

• From Uttarkashi, you have to reach Harsil to visit Gangotri Dham , the scenic sacred realm of Goddess Ganga, Now return from Gangotri to reach Uttarkashi. From Uttarkashi, visit Guptkashi.
• In Guptkashi, arrive at Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, you can hire a pony, or doli to reach Kedarnath Dham , the holy abode of lord Shiva or you can also trek to the temple, its a 17 km distance.
• Return to Gaurikund to reach Tilwara. From Tilwara, reach Joshimath which is 170 km away. Leave Joshimath to visit Badrinath Dham .

Best Time to Visit Char Dham Yatra?

Char Dham destinations remain open for half a year from April to June to October or November. Due to the harsh climate and heavy snowfall, Char Dham sites remain closed in the winter season. The best time to visit Char Dham sites is the summer season (April to June).

What are the do’s and don’ts for Char Dham Yatra?

• In case of traveling by bus, taxi/max cab vehicles, there is a system of issuing green cards after technical inspection of the vehicle concerned, which has a validity of 02 months.
• The said green card can be obtained from the Rishikesh Office of the Transport Department as well as another divisional / sub-divisional office.
• While issuing the green card and passing through the travel check post, it will be checked that the passenger list is verified from the border check post and is Hologramed by the transport department. Therefore, passengers are requested to stop at the check post and compulsorily verify the passenger list while entering the state.

Journey from Sonprayag to Kedarnath Temple

We have visited Kedarnath on 20th May 2016, Which was third destination of our Char Dham Yatra after Yamunotri and Gangotri. We were group of 12 with youngest at 2 years and elder of 61. Sonprayag was place where you can book pony so we have decided to start journey from there but as It was peak season, most hotels in Sonprayag were full and rest demanding unreasonable price so we went to Sitapur and stay there for night and reached Sonprayag early at 3am so that we can book pony. After reaching Sonprayag we join the queue for Pony Booking Counter which opens at 5, You have to produce license of Pony Holder when you book Pony, so standing in line early is not guarantee for you to get Pony. You have to negotiate with License Holder to get License from him and Book Pony. You can also book Pony from Gaurikund but you have to Reach there Early as from Sonprayag you can start for Gaurikund after 6.00am. For Palkhi you have to book it from Gaurikund, So Staying overnight and start Journey from here in Morning is Good Option, but for that you have to Reach Sonprayag ill late evening as after 9.00pm travelling from Sonprayag to Gaurikund is not allowed. After Getting license and booking Pony we have travelled from Sonprayag to Gaurikund via Local Vehicle (Rs. 20 per Person) and Start Wonderful Journey from Gaurikund on Pony. The new route is about 18 to 20km. Jungle, Slope, Slant, Bridges, Fog, Rain, River, Waterfall and Snow, Not in particular order, but it's Beautiful. It took 5 hours to reach us Kedarnath and after 1 km walk we have reached temple at 1.00pm. After 2 hr wait in queue we had very good Darshan and Start Return Journey. No Network after Sonprayag so either get local SIM or keep your mobile switched off. Do not rely on any network as it's not totally dependable. If you want to return on same day start very early and book return Pony. If it's late you can stay at camp which is on the way. Don't travel after 6.00 pm. For Helicopter ride book in advance and keep buffer of 1-2 days as service get affected if weather is not good. For Pony Booking use your negotiation skill or get ready to spend double of Government Rate. Limited number of Pony available at the time we visited, so If you get late you won't get Pony or Palkhi.

This temple is consider one of the most important Shiva temple of India. You need to trek / horse ride / piggy bank or take chopper ride of vertical 16 kms to reach here although views are as good as heaven en-route still people take such hardship to reach here by battering snow, rain and cold. So you can judge peoples unshakable faith in this temple. Temple was built many centuries ago and still it is in remarkable shape in spite battling cloudburst in 2013 so it is consider as miracle. Temple complex is large with many commercial activities happening 24 x 7. People queue up very early in the morning sometimes from middle of the night so heavy rush always persists. Temple is open only 6 months a year it gets shut down from beginning of winter and reopens on summer starting. I feel this is matter of faith above all.

I started my pony ride from Gaurikund to the temple. This is about 16km. Along the route, every 2 km, there are shops selling snacks. The road is well maintained thanks to the several personnel enroute who remove the dung strewn by the ponies. It is a treat to watch the terrain during the travel. I didn't feel difficulty while going up but coming down was extremely grueling. Since I went during off season, I had darshan for about 45 minutes, in many stretches. On the whole a must watch temple.

Around 10 hrs of horseback riding, while going up to Kedarnath Temple and coming down is a sheer test of endurance. It is one of the most gruelling ride, which I could have never imagined The steep hill roads with deep ravines all along, is an unforgettable site. It is almost a miracle to reach back safely. As they say, only Lord grants you the courage and strength to visit him in this abode. Some suggested Do's and Dont's 1) Unless you are really really fit, don't try going uphill on foot. The new route from Rambara is very steep all the way. Also the Horses and Doly pushing along the narrow road make the walking experience very difficult. 2) 10 hrs of Horseback riding is very gruelling. From Rambara upwords there are no railings on the new route. While coming back on horse downhill, the horse skids a few times. It is an experience not explainable in words... 3) Book Helicopter in advance. We thought we would get booking a few days earlier but it gets tricky. The middlemen/touts ask for extra money and still you can be stuck for the ride, on account of weather or other pretexts. I saw groups which were waiting for 2+ days for their turn on helicopter ride. Waiting from Morning to evening 6 PM at the Chopper shed! 4) The Doly walas are not enough and all tickets get sold out by 9 am. The only option left is horses. One Doly wala quoted me 14,000 since all tickets from Govt Doly counter were sold out. 5) Try to stay one night on the top, near the Mandir. There are several accomodations which are pretty reasonable. 6) We took priority darshan ticket for 1100. The Priest did an excellent Pooja. 7) This Tirth like others, is worth every bit of effort. It is an amazing feeling to Pray to Lord at this Temple. While remembering all this, I feel so lucky and blessed for this rare darshan.

This is the 2nd time I am visiting Kedarnath. Earlier I visited through old road at least 20 years back. That time also I trekked and this May visit also I did trek. It was amazing to see the nature; while I was passing through the glacier I was really feeling elevated.

This is best place to experience spirituality aspect of Hindu religion. I cannot comment more as this more than 1000 year temple made by stones and rocks. i highly appreciate people who choose to come on foot as it checks your endurance and devotion both. i had spent more than 20 days in this valley and found this place mesmerizing. Every time when it rain in kedar valley snow fall takes place on mountain range which is in back drop of temple which looks like fresh white on coal coolour rock. Near temple there are nice facilities of stay. Apart from that one can also stay at Lincholi.

D ehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], May 28 (ANI): The state chief secretary, Radha Raturi has directed the officials related to Char Dham yatra management to take the help of a reputed IT consultancy company to develop a permanent system of foolproof online registration for the devotees visiting all the religious places of the state along with the four shrines.

She asked the official of Yatra management to take the help of all stakeholders associated with Char Dham Yatra , including hoteliers, tour operators, people associated with tourism and administrative officials to develop this system.

Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand chief secretary also visited the Yatra Registration Office and Transit Camp in Rishikesh and inspected the arrangements and held a meeting with the concerned officials regarding the Char Dham Yatra arrangements.

Raturi said despite facing challenges during the beginning days, the Char Dham Yatra is being conducted smoothly and systematically in the state due to the effective management of all the officers associated with the Char Dham Yatra management.

The online registration has been started again from Haridwar and currently, about 3000 devotees reached Rishikesh and Haridwar points. All the arrangements are being conducted successfully on the Yatra route as well as in Dhams.

To deal increasing influx of pilgrims in the coming days, Chief Secretary Raturi directed District Magistrates to identify new holding places and create parking places. She also instructed officials to assess the carrying capacity of vehicles and parking places on the Yatra route soon. The funds will also be released soon, she said.

Besides, the Chief Secretary has also given instructions to strictly follow the trip card system and asked officials to take the help of national tour operators for the successful conduct of Char Dham Yatra . She also instructed instructions to coordinate and communicate with the District Magistrates and district administration of other states.

Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate Dehradun, Tehri, Senior Superintendent of Police Tehri and officials related to Char Dham Yatra were present in the meeting. (ANI)
