To secure a vessel for your charter, we take a 50% deposit of the total amount or cost of vehicle hire, unless specified otherwise. The rest of the payment will be due 14 days prior to the charter along with the final numbers and food and beverage requirements.

Payment can be made by EFT, Visa, MasterCard or in cash.

Most vessels have swim ladders for guests to swim whist the vessel is anchored. If you wish to swim, our captain can take you to the best secluded bay on the day of your charter.

Yes, you're able to bring a cake for your celebration.

In general boats offer a range of beverage options: BYO - if available is bring your own drink - surcharge may apply. If the vessel is licenced they will offer a standard drinks package with upgrades, a beverage on consumption option where you are charged for the drinks you order on your party charter (additional staffing fees may apply)

Yes, all the vessels will have eskies or fridges on board to keep drinks chilled. Ice can be arranged at an additional cost.

Yes, we have a first aid on board all vessels in case of emergency. If there are any emergencies on the day, the captain and crew on board are certified and can conduct first aid processes. We follow the safety regulations from AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority)

We allow for 15 minutes for all guests to get on and off the vessel at the wharves.

We welcome the opportunity to show you around your preffered boat. Most of our boats for hire in Sydney are easily accessible for inspections - subject to availability. Some of the smaller vessels kept on swing moorings may not be viewed as easily. Please ask our friendly team for more information.

To comply with RSA guidelines, it’s mandatory to have sufficient food along with the drinks on all cruises. The majority of smaller boats and yachts will allow you to bring your own food. Most boats come equipped with onboard BBQs and the crew will be happy to cook your food for you. We’ll inform you if your boat has a BYO food option available to avoid any surprises. For engagement events, it’s common for the boat owner to handle catering, which we’ll arrange for you. Alternatively you can suggest your own catering. Usually, BYO drinks options are usually available for groups up to 45 guests. Large eskies will be provided by the BYO boats to keep your drinks cold. Ice may or may not be included in your hire. We’ll let you know if your boat has a BYO option available and if a BYO fee applies when you make your booking to avoid any surprises.

Larger catamarans, yachts, and event boats are especially suitable for hosting DJ parties. Upon booking, we will inform you if having a DJ onboard is possible on your chosen boat. If you’re interested in having a DJ at your event but don’t have one lined up yet, don’t worry! We can help you arrange this. Pricing and options are available upon request, so please let us know if you need any assistance with this.

Depending on the vessel, this is possible. In particular, catamarans are a great option for a day of water play on Sydney Harbour. If you are on a vessel that has easy water access included, your captain will take you to the perfect secluded swimming spots. Please let our team know if swimming is something you’re interested upon enquiring.

Boats will head out in all weather conditions when deemed safe by the captain. If the weather is deemed unsafe and the captain needs to cancel, you will receive a 12-month voucher. This voucher is equal to the value of your booking and can be used to reschedule your charter. The past years we’ve had quite a few groups out with a bit of rain, and they all still had an amazing time! There is plenty of space on the boats to keep dry, and sometimes a little rain even adds to the fun!

Climb aboard the heritage motor launch Harman (c.1943) for a unique 1 hour cruise on Sydney Harbour.

The Westside Stories Highlights Tour shows the transformation of Sydney Harbour from a major working port into one of leisure.

See the remaining vestiges of the working waterfront as you’re taken deep into the bays and coves, west of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Highlights include Rozelle Bay where many of the city’s historic vessels are being restored; see where Palmolive and Protex soap was made; be visually transported to ‘Scandinavia’ by multi-coloured harbour front workshops, and unlock what the name Ultimo means?

Tickets are in high demand for Heritage Harbour Cruises on Harman. Reserve your spot in advance online for only $10.

Subject to availability there may also be spots available on the day of your visit. These spots are Free with the purchase of a See It All ticket. See front of house staff on day of visit.

Presented by the Australian National Maritime Museum in partnership with the Sydney Heritage Fleet.

Conditions of Boarding

Due to safety requirements children must be at least 90 cm tall to board the vessel.

On arrival, please check in with our front of house staff and they will inform you where Harman is departing from. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure.

Please wear sensible footwear and dress appropriately for the weather on the day - a windproof jacket may be useful.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance or on the day (pending availability) from the main museum foyer or Action Stations ticket desk.

The vessel is licensed to carry a maximum of 24 passengers.

If heritage motor launch Harman (c.1943) is unavailable, the cruise will take place on board heritage motor launch Berrima (c.1955).

If, in the opinion of the Master on the day in the event the wind or sea state is deemed unsuitable for the comfort of passengers, an alternate tour may be offered or the cruise will be cancelled and passengers refunded.

A grim update has emerged in the search for a cruise ship passenger who went overboard in waters just outside Sydney.

A man’s body has been pulled from the water after going overboard on a cruise ship.

P & O’s Pacific Adventure was due to dock in Sydney Harbour at 6am on Monday at the end of a three-day Elvis-themed cruise.

But after a male passenger went overboard in the early hours, the ship remained in the waters just off the city’s Eastern Suburbs while a huge search was underway.

Police have now confirmed a man’s body was retrieved from the water at 10.30am, 10 nautical miles off Sydney Heads.

The development comes after images revealed the “very rocky and windy” conditions in the waters this morning.

P&O’s Pacific Adventure was cleared by NSW Police to return to port shortly before midday.

The ship was hosting an Elvis-themed voyage called ‘Tribute to The King’, promising a long weekend of “themed parties, karaoke, trivia and much more”.

One passenger on board the P&O ship, Kel, said that when the alarm sounded on board the ship she lept out of bed.

“We jumped out of bed so fast,” she wrote.

“Was hectic! Been circling in the same spot for over 5hrs now.”

The Carnival Cruise ship Carnival Splendor was also at sea during the search despite being due in port this morning.

It is understood this ship has been towed into the harbour and docked at Circular Quay at 10.30am.

One passenger on board showed just how turbulent the waves were at sea.

On board Splendor, the passenger, who goes by @auscruisecouple on TikTok, shared a selfie of the conditions.

“We have been offshore since about 4 o’clock this morning unable to dock due to an emergency situation,” she said.

“We are witnessing the helicopter searching and search and rescue boats as well … it is as you can see, quite choppy.”

Andres Vargas sent images of the P&O ship to news.com.au.

He said at the time conditions were “very rocky and windy.”

Another passenger on board, who asked not to named, told news.com.au earlier today that the situation at sea was “scary”.

“We’re docked out at sea and aren’t allowed in yet due to the search and rescue,” he said before 8am on Monday.

“An announcement came out for us at 7am saying that an emergency rescue operation was being conducted and we weren’t allowed to enter the channel into the harbour.

“We are maybe 20km out from land and will stay here until we get permission to head back in.”

It is understood that Splendor had been on standby to assist in the search

“I don’t think many people know that there is a passenger overboard nearby. We had heard a rumour,” he added.

One man who was supposed to pick up passengers from the Pacific Adventure told 2GB he was told “don’t rush” because “the ship’s stopped outside the head and somebody’s gone overboard.”

A passenger told 2GB’s Ben Fordham they were woken up by a “man overboard call”.

“We got woken up with the man overboard call and from there it’s been all on for a couple of hours now,” he said.

A desperate search has been launched for a cruise ship passenger feared to have fallen overboard.

Two cruise ships - the Carnival Splendor and P&O's Pacific Adventure - were due to dock in Sydney Harbour before 6am on Monday.

The ships have been forced to remain in waters off the eastern suburbs as the search continues for the passenger.

A passenger told 2GB radio they woke to a 'man overboard call' early on Monday.

'We got woken up with the man overboard call and from there it's been all on for a couple of hours now,' he said. 

P&O Cruises confirmed a search was underway and said staff were providing the missing passenger's family with support. 

'P&O's Pacific Adventure is currently undertaking a search and rescue operation off Sydney after a person overboard alarm was raised at 4am,' a spokesperson said. 

'Since this time, the ship carrying more than 2,600 guests, has been onsite searching along with other nearby vessels deployed to the area by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority's Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.

'The family of this guest is being cared for by our onboard team while every effort is being made to find them.' 

Pacific Adventure's arrival into Sydney Harbour has been cancelled as the large-scale search, which includes a helicopter, continues.  

A  NSW  Police spokesman confirmed an urgent search was underway following reports a passenger had disappeared 10 nautical miles from Sydney Heads. 

'Police are leading the search of waters off Sydney following reports a person was in the water,' the spokesman said. 

'NSW Police Marine Area Command have deployed a number of resources to search for the person and are leading the co-ordination of the water search.'

One man who was supposed to pick up passengers from the Pacific Adventure told 2GB he was told not to rush because the 'the ship's stopped outside the head and somebody's gone overboard.'

The Pacific Adventure is returning from a three-day cruise to Queensland's Morton Island with the Carnival Splendour also currently at sea. 

Both ships were due back in the port on Monday morning.
