International superstar Harry Styles has announced Love On Tour 2022 in support of his new album Harry’s House. Coming off of a sold out 42-date arena tour in 2021 and two special One Night Only shows in New York and London, the highly anticipated 2022 tour will allow fans to have access to six nights in Chicago, turning the iconic United Center into Harry’s House for the run of shows.

What is the General Admission (GA) process for pit access?

• STARTING TIME:  At 9 AM, guests will receive official numbered wristbands from the United Center. This represents the order you will line up in for GA. Anyone arriving to get a GA wristband must be present in person to receive their wristband. Only one wristband will be provided per person.
• NO CAMPING:  For the safety of all guests, camping is not allowed. Arriving at 9 AM on show date is the earliest allowable arrival for visiting fans.
• ONE WRISTBAND POLICY:  Anyone arriving to get a GA wristband must be present in person to receive their wristband. Only one wristband will be provided per person.
• LOCATION:  Guests will only receive wristbands from a credentialed United Center security employee at Gate 5.
• LEAVING PRIVILEGES:  Once the wristband is received, guests are free to leave but must return by 5 PM to Gate 5, which is the location where the wristband was distributed.
• RETURNING TIME:  All guests with a wristband must return to the United Center and be lined up in order of the wristband by 5 PM to have wristband number honored.
• LATE ARRIVAL:  If a guest with a numbered wristband arrives after 5 PM, the guest will be placed in line after the last guest in line.
• SAME DAY ONLY:  For Example:Guests for the Oct. 6 show can only line up on Oct. 6. Guests for the Oct. 8 show can only line up on Oct. 8. The “Same Day Only” process applies to all six show dates. The wristband number order only works for the day of the show that you line up for.
• ONE PROCESS:  This is the only process approved for GA entry. No additional arrangements can be honored at this time.

Can I camp out for the General Admission (GA) line?

For the safety of all guests, camping on United Center property is not allowed. Arriving at the 9 AM start time listed on the official GA process is the earliest allowable arrival for visiting fans.

Do I need a wristband to access Standing Room Only tickets?

Standing Room Only tickets do not need a wristband. Standing Room Only tickets are located on the upper level and wristbands are only required for GA pit tickets, which are located on the floor. 

Where will General Admission (GA) fans enter the arena? 

Fans will line up and enter at Gate 5, which is located on the south side of the United Center near the South Atrium entrance.

Do I need to enter at the gate listed on my ticket?

Fans who are attending a suite or (GA) general admission should enter through the gate noted on their ticket. All other guests can enter through the nearest entrance when they arrive. Harry Styles Venue Hack: The South Atrium entrance is one of the fastest entrances to the building.

Can I pay for parking in advance?

Yes. Parking for all official United Center parking lots can be found online here . Please note, to accommodate early arrivers, Lot K will be open at 9:30 AM on Oct. 6, 8, 13, 14, & 15 and Lot C will be open at 9:30 AM on Oct. 9.

Where is the best place to drop off my kids and pick up?

Near the corner of Wood St. and Monroe St. by parking lot H. Easy access to the North, South, East Atrium and Gate 5 General Admission (GA) line (near the South Atrium Entrance), this corner is ideal.

Take I-90 East to the Madison Street exit and make a right onto Madison Street. The building will be on your left.

Take I-55 North to the Damen exit and make a left, going northbound for approximately 7 minutes. The building will be on your right.

Take Madison Street west from the Loop.

Take I-290 East to exit 28A (Damen Avenue). Take Damen Avenue north to Madison Street. Make a right onto Madison Street and the building will be on your right.

Public Transportation

Take the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown lines to Madison. Take #20 Madison buses west.

To the United Center : The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.

From the United Center : The #19 United Center Express and the #20 Madison buses run every few minutes, departing from the eastbound side of Madison Street. Buses make all stops.

Suites Parking

Two reserved parking passes will be valid in lots C and K. The other two reserved parking passes will be for parking in lots A, B, D, or L. Holders of these passes will be directed to A, B, D, or L lots by traffic police and parking attendants based on traffic conditions. Parking passes are good for one space each. All parking passes are mobile entry only.

For all special events, each Executive Suite Holder will receive two complimentary parking passes per event ordered. These two passes will be for reserved parking located in lots C and K. In addition, Executive Suite Holders will also receive the option to purchase four additional parking passes in lots C and K for special events.

Suite Holder parking passes are also valid for buses or limousines under specific guidelines.

Lexus Club Parking

Lexus Club Seat members have reserved parking in fenced, well-lit and clearly marked parking lots adjacent to the United Center for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. All Lexus Club members who purchase tickets to other events may also purchase one preferred parking pass (in lot C or K) for such events. Details on how to obtain parking for other events are included with the fax transmission announcing each event.

Lexus Club Seat members with two to four tickets receive a complimentary, reserved parking space in a closed-in, paved lot for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. Lexus Club Seat members with five seats or more will be provided with two parking passes.

UBER ZONE FAQs:

What is the Uber Zone (Lot E) at the United Center? To increase and streamline the fan experience for guests who take Uber to and from the United Center, the new Uber Zone is located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street (Lot E) and will combine the three former Uber locations around the arena. Traffic leading to the three prior Uber pickup locations 1) Zone A, previously located on Wood Street & Washington Blvd. near Lot A, 2) Zone D, previously located on Monroe Street & S. Paulina Street near Lot D and 3) Zone F, previously located on Monroe Street & Seeley Ave. near Lot F will now be directed towards the one new Uber Zone in Lot E.

What is the location of the Uber Zone? The new Uber Zone at the United Center is located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Fans will enter and exit through the sidewalk entrance located on Madison Street and cars will enter the lot by turning into the Uber Zone from Madison Street. Cars will exit on Warren Blvd.

What are the hours of operation? On event days, the Uber Zone is open two hours prior to games, concerts and events and will remain open up to one hour after each event. On non-event days, the Uber Zone will be closed and Uber rides will be dropped off near the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street outside of the Uber Zone.

What is the pickup process for fans?

• Using the Uber app, fans inside the United Center will call an Uber ride.
• Guests will then head to the new Uber Zone located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street in front of the United Center.
• When arriving, fans will show the Uber attendant the lane number their driver is in.
• Fans will be shown the location where their Uber vehicle is located to start their next journey.

What is the dropoff process for fans? When Uber drivers arrive with guests at the United Center, they will be instructed to pull into the Uber Zone from the Madison Street side to drop off fans. Once exiting the vehicle, guests will walk out of the main entrance located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Guests can cross the street to the United Center and are encouraged to enter through the East Atrium.

After that, he’ll wrap up his North American trek on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2023, with opener Madi Diaz, who joined Styles for his previous Toronto shows. Harry Styles has announced the dates for his 2022 Love on Tour tour.

The 32-date road trek, in support of the upcoming release of his third studio album, “Harry’s House,” (due May 20) includes a five-night residency planned for the United Center, beginning Oct. 6. Jessie Ware opens.

The tour kicks off Aug. 15 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Fans interested in a ticket presale need to register for tickets now through 9 p.m. May 19 at ticketmaster.com

General ticket sales begin at noon on May 26 at hstyles.co.uk/tour .

Styles, who rose to fame as part of the hugely successful boy band One Direction, catapulted to superstardom for his subsequent solo work including his best-selling self-titled debut album and hit singles such as “Watermelon Sugar” (for which he won a best pop solo performance Grammy), “Sign of the Times” and “As It Was,” the first single off his new album.

Styles made his feature film debut in the 2019 movie “Dunkirk.” Upcoming movie releases include “My Policeman” opposite David Dawson and Emma Corrin, and “Don’t Worry Darling,” the latter directed by and co-starring his real-life love Olivia Wilde.

Important COVID-19 Entry Update

ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT, GUESTS CAN DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TO RECEIVE APPROVED ENTRY INTO THE FIELDHOUSE:

Option #1 (highly recommended) - Display the  green   CLEAR Health Pass app screen at any Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse entrance to gain admittance with a ticket to the event. The benefit of downloading the CLEAR Health Pass app and enrolling in advance eliminates the need for any pre-screening for proof of vaccine or negative test result at the event for faster entry.

Option #2 (recommended) -   A screening tent will be set up on Gateway Plaza outside of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and will open on Sunday, October 17th from 12:00 - 7:00 PM and again on Monday, October 18th at 11:00 AM to allow guests the opportunity to arrive early to get pre-screened in advance of doors opening for the show. 

At the screening tent, guests will show their proof of vaccine, a negative test result, or their green CLEAR Health Pass screen to receive a wristband to indicate they met the event criteria for entry. They can then proceed to any entrance to be admitted with a ticket once doors open or have time to enjoy the many establishments in the Gateway District prior to showtime.

The benefit of getting pre-screened and receiving a wristband eliminates the need to show proof of vaccine or negative test result at the door.

Option #3 -  Present proof of vaccine or negative test at any Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse entrance when doors open 2 hours before the start of the event.

• Provide proof of vaccination (14 days past final vaccination shot) with original vaccination card, printed copy of vaccination card or a digital copy with a photo ID; or
• Provide proof of an FDA approved negative Covid-19 PCR, Antigen or Molecular test that is date and time stamped with full name printed on the test results. The test must be completed within 48 hours prior to the show date and entrance time, and presented with a photo ID.

Admission to events requiring the additional protocols will not be granted to anyone (regardless of age) without proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test.

All guests over two years old MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES inside the FieldHouse, except during times of active eating and drinking in ticketed seats.

CLEAR Health Pass

To expedite the process, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse has partnered with CLEAR Health Pass, a free service on the CLEAR mobile app that provides a seamless way to upload proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result.  By enrolling and completing the health screening requirements BEFORE arriving to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, CLEAR’s technology will verify the user’s identity and allow for FASTER entry.

Parent's Club

Please note the following instructions:

• The Parent’s Club is strictly for parents or guardians only. Your party should be a limit of two people, no children please. Club attendees must adhere to the same COVID protocols as ticketed guest with proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within the last 48 hours.
• The ONLY entry point for the Parents Club is the East Bridge , no other entrances will allow non-ticketed guests into the facility. Parents should arrive together with their ticketed children and enter Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (RMFH) through the Gateway East Garage Bridge entrance, located on Level 3 of the garage (see below for map). It is not required that you park in the E. Garage to enter via the bridge, which can be accessed off E. 6th Street.
• Upon arrival, advise a Guest Services Ambassador that you'd like to wait for your children in the Parent’s Club. Since you will not need or have a ticket to the event, you will not be permitted to walk your children to their seats or visit them during the concert. However, we can assure you there will be many helpful Guest Services Ambassadors that will assist your children in finding their correct seats.
• You will be escorted to the designated Parent’s Club area and receive a wristband. It will be necessary that you remain in the Parent’s Club until the conclusion of the concert except to visit nearby restrooms, merchandise stands and concessions. There is a strict NO in/out policy.
• We advise you to meet your children back at the Parent’s Club following the concert, and in case of emergency, we suggest using cell phone communication and writing down their seat locations.
• Another option you may want to consider is dining at some of the fine restaurants in the Gateway District and E. 4th Street, which are located within walking distance from RMFH. If this is your choice, be sure to decide on a predetermined location to meet your children following the concert.
• The show will most likely conclude around 11:00 PM.

Harry Styles Is Bringing Harry's House On Tour

Styles’ Love On Tour 2022 includes 32 nights across five cities.

Harry Styles fans are getting treated to another major piece of Harry news this week. First, the singer announced his One Night Only in New York show — which is, as you may have guessed — a one-night only live performance at the UBS Arena at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York, where he will perform his upcoming album Harry’s House for the first time. Now, the singer is announcing a full North American tour for the album, which will be released on May 20.

Described in an interview with Better Homes & Gardens as being about “belonging, peace, and domesticity,” Harry’s House will be the singer’s third solo album and first release in nearly three years since his last record, Fine Line , came out. According to a release, the tour, called Love on Tour 2022, will be turning venues into “Harry’s House” for the run of shows. What can we expect? Light woods? Vases of dried flowers? Guitars lazily strewn about? Floor pillows?!

Fans will have a few months to get acquainted with the album (e.g. memorize all its lyrics so they can scream along) before Styles embarks on his tour on August 15. Instead of playing several cities once, he’ll play only a handful of major cities for a several nights, which we’re guessing is because there’s going to be some kind of elaborate setup to create “Harry’s House.” The tour kicks off Monday, August 15th and Tuesday, August 16th in Toronto, Ontario, followed by residencies in New York City for not just one, but ten nights; Austin, Texas for five nights, and Chicago for five nights before wrapping up in Los Angeles for 10 nights.

Ahead of his second solo album, out May 20, and following two powerhouse headlining performances at Coachella last month, Harry Styles has announced a string of residency tour dates across the U.S. Although tickets don’t officially go on sale on Styles’ website until May 26, there are already plenty of ways fans can ensure they snag tickets before they sell out.

The Love on Tour 2022 kicks off in August, with shows scheduled in Toronto, Austin, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. The 32-date stint will run through the summer and fall, concluding with a 10-night residency at Los Angeles’s Kia Forum at the end of October.

The best way to get your hands on tickets is to sign up for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan registration , which allows access to the presale once it goes live on May 25. Registration for the presale closes on May 19. According to Ticketmaster ‘s website, demand for Styles’ tour will be overwhelming — pre-sale helps fans snag tickets before they likely sell out during the general on-sale.

Of course, if they do sell out, you’ll still be able to purchase tickets at resale sites such as VividSeats . Since tickets haven’t dropped, it’s hard to say what the markup will look like quite yet, but it’s still the most reliable way to get tickets once the official sale closes.

Harry Styles Added So Many New Love On Tour Dates

This man does not rest.

It seems like Harry Styles’ Love On Tour may just live on forever. On Aug. 26, the “Late Night Talking” star announced 19 new dates to the tour’s already extensive 2023 roster. These new additions largely take place in Europe with brief pop-ups in North and South America.

It’s another impressive slate of shows for Styles, who has barely stopped touring since kicking off the concert series in September 2021. Currently, Styles is rockin’ his signature feather boa while dodging thrown chicken nuggets (Yes, you read that right) at New York’s Madison Square Garden for his 15-night residency through Sept. 21 before heading to Austin; Chicago; and Inglewood, California for additional extended stays. After this, well, he’ll continue touring. Talk about being booked and busy.

The newly announced dates include stops in cities across the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, and Spain. The performer also extended his time in already scheduled locations like Austin, Chicago, and São Paulo. Finally, Harry set a venue upgrade for his Peru show on Nov. 29. It will now take place at Estadio Nacional, which holds up to 43,000 seats.

That’s not the only exciting news, either. The “Cinema” singer also revealed that dates for shows in Asia will be announced soon. Madi Diaz opened for his two Toronto shows in August 2022, while English singer Blood Orange has served as the opening act for his New York residency since Aug. 20. In September, jazz-powered trio Gabriels will open for the singer’s following shows in Austin. For his October stint in Chicago, R&B crooner Jessie Ware will be his supporting act, while singer Ben Harper will round out as an opener for his stops in Los Angeles through November.

Harry Styles’ ‘Love On Tour’ Is A Lesson In Fan Service

By the time the lights went up in the Chicago’s United Center arena, the floor looked like a ransacked Party City. Loose feathers of all colors were scattered everywhere, gathering in piles around the water fountain and forming a multicolored carpet out the doors. It was a reminder of how Harry Styles fans see his Love On Tour concert. It’s not just an average arena concert, it’s an all-out event. It’s a pop fan’s version of Met Gala where they compete to see who can put together the most colorful and the most outrageous outfits. Along with hot pink cowboy hats and sequin-adorned jumpsuits, I saw people wearing full-on costumes. A group of friends dressed up as hamburgers and hotdogs rushed by, followed by a gaggle of women in full Teletubbies suits, forming a group of friends clearly committed to the bit.

It’s understandable why there’s so much commotion around a Styles concert. Though he’s a pop artist, Styles is our version of a modern-day rock star. With minimal stage production compared to his chart-topping peers, he manages to sell out stadiums across the globe. And similar to rock bands like the Grateful Dead or Phish , Styles’ fans follow him around the country, wearing the number of Love On Tour concerts they’ve attended like a badge of honor and racking up Styles tickets like sports trophies.

It seemed as though at least half of the attendees at Styles’ final Chicago show had seen him perform more than once. One woman next to me in line — wearing an obligatory hot pink feather boa and fully ready to shell out $35 for a “Watermelon Sugar” cocktail — told the bartender this was her second time seeing Styles in Chicago and her fifth time seeing him overall. She seemed almost ashamed of her relatively low Love On Tour concert count, noting how one of her close friends had attended every single night of his 15-night Madison Square Garden run . Though the show I attended was in Chicago, it was clear most of the crowd had traveled far and wide to see the concert. On stage, Styles took a poll of the audience demographic. When asked who lived in Chicago, there was a fairly loud collective shout. But when he asked who didn’t live in Chicago, the roar was deafening, proving just how many fans had traveled hundreds of miles for the event.

Styles himself is clearly aware of how dedicated his fan base is, and he makes it worth their while to attend with expert-level crowd service. Every time someone screamed at him or held up a sign while he sang, he’d point at them and give them a thumbs up, knowing full well that the split-second interaction will be their highlight of the year. Halfway through the show, Styles stopped the concert and instructed the lights to be turned up. He told fans who brought signs to hold them up so he could comment on a few of most absurd ones, making sure to get the fans’ name as well. One sign read, “I’m here with my therapist!” which prompted some back-and-forth banter. Another sign read, “I skipped my grandma’s funeral for this,” to which Styles lightly scolded the fan for, but she then assured him that her “grandma was an asshole, so it’s okay.”

When it came to the music itself, it became clear just how seasoned of a performer Styles is. He used the entire stage, running back and forth to ensure every section of the crowd was engaged. He also didn’t lose sight of where he started and launched into a solo version of One Direction’s “You Don’t Know You’re Beautiful,” which put the crowd into a frenzy and prompted a 60-person conga line. Styles of course made sure to run through his hits; he played his Fine Line single “Adore You” early on in the night and ended the concert with a rendition of his record-breaking No. 1 hit “As It Was,” which the crowd was screaming along to so loudly it was almost hard to hear his vocals.

The conga line wasn’t the only proof of how coordinated Styles fans are. Before the show started, one fan came around to everyone in our section and handed us a colored sticky note, instructing us to hold it over our phone’s flashlight during a certain song. When the song played, the entire crowd lit up with different colored lights, showing how each section had an assigned fan passing out a certain colored paper. During another song, about 50 people in the pit broke out into a coordinated dance routine, clearly something that had been practiced and seemed to be the norm at his concerts.

Though Styles was clearly the star of the show, opener Jessie Ware was also a major highlight. The singer put on a show-stopping performance, complete with intricate choreography and disco-leaning music from her 2020 album What’s Your Pleasure that fit in perfectly with the crowd’s fervent energy. It was the last tour stop that Ware will join Styles on and it also happened to be her birthday, so Styles led the sold-out stadium in singing “Happy Birthday” to the singer, who seemed to be taken by the gesture.

Ware wasn’t the only musician who joined the crowd. Lizzo briefly made an appearance in the VIP section. But much to the chagrin of the fans who flocked to the barrier to say hi, the “Truth Hurts” singer did not come up on stage to recreate their iconic joint Coachella performance , something I was admittedly also hoping for.

By the time the concert ended, feathers were strewn everywhere and fans either flocked to line up for an Uber or to the nearest bar to recap the night with hoarse voices from all the yelling. After the entire ordeal, it’s understandable why so many people follow the singer around the country on tour. Styles is interactive and puts on an engaging, awe-inspiring, and wildly fun concert. But for anyone who is planning on catching an upcoming show, I have one word of advice: earplugs. If not for the loud music, but for drowning out the chorus of ear-piercing screams that are pretty much constant throughout the show. Trust me, your ears will thank me later.

On October 6, 2022, the United Center in Chicago announced that the October 6 show had to be rescheduled due to a crew member’s illness. “Out of an abundance of caution, tonight’s Harry Styles show on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at United Center has been rescheduled to Monday, October 10, 2022 due to band/crew illness,” the statement said, published on Twitter . “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. All additional show dates will play as scheduled. An email from Ticketmaster will be sent directly to ticket holders with more info.”

Styles—who released his lead single from Harry’s House , “ As It Was ,” in March 2022—opened up about the meaning of the album’s title in an interview with Better Homes and Gardens in April 2022.“ Home feeling isn’t something that you get from a house,” he said at the time. “It’s more of an internal thing. You realize that when you stop for a minute.” Styles also told the magazine about how his relationship with sex and sexuality has changed over the years.

“For a long time, it felt like the only thing that was mine was my sex life,” he said. “I felt so ashamed about it, ashamed at the idea of people even knowing that I was having sex, let alone who with. At the time, there were still the kiss-and-tell things. Working out who I could trust was stressful. But I think I got to a place where I was like, ‘Why do I feel ashamed? Though Styles’ first two albums, Harry Styles and Fine Line , hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart, Styles told Better Homes and Garden that he doesn’t feel the same pressure for Harry’s House to have similar success. “Finally, it doesn’t feel like my life is over if this album isn’t a commercial success,” he said. “I just want to make stuff that is right, that is fun, in terms of the process, that I can be proud of for a long time, that my friends can be proud of, that my family can be proud of, that my kids will be proud of one day.”

In an interview with Apple Music in May 2022, Styles explained that he made Harry’s House after he learned how to balance his life after the COVID-19 pandemic. “For a really long time, I was terrified of what my life was if I wasn’t up here doing music, on a show, doing something. And then you’re faced with a time when you can’t do that,” he said. “I kind of stopped for a second and looked at what I turned to listen to and what I was watching and all that kind of stuff and was like, ‘What does it actually mean to make something? And what does it mean to me to make something as my job?’”

Styles also told Apple Music about how he was “really lucky” to have his One Direction bandmates—Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik—to lean on in the early years of his career. “I think there is very much a respect between all of us, if we did something together. And that is something that you can’t really undo. And you know, it’s like a very deep love for each other, I think,” he said. He also explained the difference between touring as a solo artist and in a boy band. “It just felt so separate from any individual. It never felt like… You are never on stage being like, ‘Yeah, this stadium’s full because of me,'” he said. He continued of his own fans,“The crowd is so emotionally generous that they just want me to be having a good time, and I can feel that. Doing shows is my favorite thing to do in the world.”

Styles also credited Billie Eilish for re-inspiring his creativity. “I think being in the band, I’d always felt like we were really young… And I had a moment seeing [Billie] do this at such a young age where I felt like, ‘I’m not that young anymore.’ And for a while it was, how do you play that game of remaining exciting?” he said. Styles told Apple Music he was “thankful” for Eilish, saying she “broke the spell” of him overanlyzing his career decisions. “This is so unbelievably liberating to go, ‘I just want to make good music.’ That’s it. That’s what I want to do. And everything else is what it will be. And that’s kind of it,” he said.

He also told Apple Music about the inspiration for the title of his third album: Harry’s House . “I was kind of like, ‘I’d be really fun to make an album called Harry’s House,’ and thought about it being this smaller thing. And then it was back to that thing of, ‘Maybe that’s an album I’ll make in four years or five years or whatever.’ And as I started making the album, I realized it wasn’t about the geographical location. It’s much more of an internal thing,” he said. He described the sound of the album as “more electronic in a lot of places than anything I’ve made, it’s also so much more intimate to me. And so much more intimately made.”

Harry Styles ‘ Love on Tour has been a smash hit, so much so that the far-reaching trek is receiving a major expansion next year. On Friday (Aug. 26), Live Nation announced that the “As It Was” singer will be embarking on another European leg of his Love on Tour in 2023, and added new shows to his North and South American legs of the tour.

After Styles’ 11 remaining dates at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the star will be heading down to Austin’s Moody Center, which just received a sixth date slated for Oct. 3. Chicago will also be getting a sixth date tacked on to the 28-year-old’s residency at the city’s United Center, and is scheduled for Oct. 15. Gabriels will be supporting Styles during his Austin dates (Sept. 25-26, Sept. 28-29 and Oct. 2-3), while Jessie Ware will be the opening act for Chicago (Oct. 6, 8-9, Oct 13-15).

For South America, Styles’ Nov. 29 date in Lima, Peru has received a venue upgrade to Estadio Nacional, which has a capacity of 43,086 attendees. São Paulo, Brazil, also gets a second date, with the singer tacking on a Dec. 13 date at the Allianz Parque. Styles will be playing the venue on Dec. 6. Koffee will support on all South American dates.

The Grammy winner will be heading back to Europe in 2023 starting on May 13 at the CASA Arena in Horsens, Denmark, and will make stops in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and more before wrapping things up at Italy’s RCF Arena. Wet Leg will support Styles on all European dates, with Inhaler joining the rock duo June 10.

Tickets go on sale via Live Nation on staggered dates: Lima tickets will be available starting on Aug. 29, with São Paulo the following day at 10 a.m. local time. The new Austin and Chicago dates will both go on sale on Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. local time, while the European dates go up for grabs at Sept. 2, also at 10 a.m. local time.

Mother Nature has a sneaky sense of humor.

On Tuesday, May 14, she tested Neil Young and his band Crazy Horse at Forest Hills Stadium when a light rain came down during their raucous ‘Love Earth’ concert. At other outdoor shows, this minor inconvenience might have put a damper on the evening; everyone knows wearing ponchos is never cool. However, on an eco-friendly, earth-loving night such as this, the drizzle was a welcome reminder to not only be present but also appreciate the simple pleasures the planet has to offer.

More than anything though, the sprinkle added a bit of texture to the 78-year-old Young’s inimitable guitar talents and otherworldly, warbly vocals at the tennis stadium turned concert venue.

Over the course of the warm yet wet evening, the Godfather of Grunge ripped through 16 songs — a handful of hits and a slew of deep cuts — in a set shortened by his entertaining, eccentric opening act Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping going a tad long (the preacher sermonized about “the earth coming into us”) and unexpected technical difficulties.

Let’s start at the beginning of Neil’s set, though.

To kick things off, Young humbly ambled onstage with the imposing “crazy horse” large looming large on a backdrop behind him. Never one for grandiosity, the Toronto native wore a baseball cap and jean jacket. If he wasn’t one of the world’s most gifted musicians, one might have mistaken him for a trucker emerging from a rest stop bathroom.

The two-time Rock Hall of Fame inductee — recognized for his solo work and Buffalo Springfield tenure — quickly jumped into his downbeat 1975 classic “Cortez The Killer.” For the next ten or so minutes, Young and Crazy Horse delivered their trademark searing, unassuming sound. 49 years later, the quartet sounded just as fresh and dripping with raw, authentic power as when the track appeared on “Zuma” nearly a half-century ago.

Only one question remained as the guitars soared for the first few minutes of the song: was Young’s unmistakable voice the same at 78-years-old?

In a word, yes.

As soon as Neil sang “He came dancing across the water,” the enthusiastic crowd knew they were in for a treat. Young sounded just like he did in his heyday; nothing had changed. Neil Young is still Neil Young. This is a good thing.

“Cinnamon Girl,” the lead track on 1969’s “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere” came next and fans burst into applause after the first few strings. Bassist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina — who have been with Crazy Horse since 1968 — along with Willie Nelson’s son Micah on guitar, shredded the feel-good jam as the wall of sound their guitars produced bled throughout the unique venue.

After that, Young dipped into his plaintive ’90s rocker “Scattered (Let’s Think About Livin’)” with its catchy refrain “I’m a little bit high/I’m a little bit low,” which made for an easy singalong. In between songs, onstage banter was minimal; twice, Neil asked “How’s everyone doing” and “What’s your favorite planet” before slipping back into the music.

It was always all about the music for Neil.

While he is known for timeless hits like “Old Man,” “Ohio,” “After The Goldrush,” “Harvest Moon” and the 1982 oddity “Transformer Man,” Young refused to dip into that well. Instead, he opted for the sludgy, grunge-country rock opera “Like A Hurricane,” sadly sweet “Don’t Cry No Tears” and imposing, soulful “Vampire Blues” next.

Young made it clear — this is a show for real fans (and possibly himself); those who have only heard his Greatest Hits album can check their bags at the door.

That being said, later in the show, Young made sure to pay their respects to fair-weather admirers when the backing band took a break and he came back out all by his lonesome with an acoustic guitar and harmonica.

For a moment, the rock portion of the show was over; now, the spotlight shone solely on Young and he delivered three melancholy country gems. First, his simple “Comes A Time” settled the crowd. Following a bit of polite applause, Neil dove into the famous “Heart of Gold” harmonica riff. Nearly everyone sang along in the night’s most unified moment which felt more like a campfire jamboree than a concert. It was raining and we were all right there with Neil “searching for a heart of gold.” Beautiful. This is why you go to live shows. This, this, this.

Unfortunately, as the night came to a close the sound system shorted out a handful of times. First, it was during his final acoustic song “Human Highway.” Then, when Crazy Horse came back to rock out to “Hey, Hey, My My” problems persisted.

“Nothing is under control,” Nelson quipped.

Just when it seemed as if the show was over, Young and co. came back for a two-song encore; first up was the punky “Sedan Delivery” and finally his 1989 anthem “Rockin’ In The Free World.”

The lights came on; the show was over.

Everyone returned to their smartphones, most were checking the Knicks score. For a few hours though, Neil and Mother Nature brought us all together to ‘Love Earth.’ That might have been their sneakiest trick of all.

Final verdict: Whether you love Neil for his unfiltered rockers or sensitive country ballads, the ‘Love Earth Tour’ will satisfy all your Neil Young needs as he makes sure to spend time in both of his equally powerful soundscapes.

Neil Young new music

On April 26, Young released his 46th album, the nine-track “FU##IN’ UP,” which features live versions of classic cuts from Young’s storied catalog.

“In the spirit it’s offered, (we) made this for the Horse lovers,” he shared. “I can’t stop it. The horse is runnin’. What a ride we have. I don’t want to mess with the vibe. I am so happy to have this to share.”

None of the songs on the record were performed at the show we attended but, in typical Young fashion, they rock. Hard.

Climb to your seat and watch tennis being played behind the stage (depending on your view); it’s a sight to behold.

From March 28-30, the Hip-Hop hitmaker will bring his ‘Most Wanted Tour’ to Chicago’s United Center for three huge back-to-back-to-back gigs.

In October 2023, Bad Bunny dropped his fifth studio album “nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana,” which he claims is a nod to his trap roots and for the day-one fans.

Thing is, this record is packed with so many catchy beats and hooky choruses that it should be easily accessible to listeners both new and old.

Over 22 tracks, the rapper delivers 81 minutes of pulsing club tracks meant to get crowds hyped like the hypnotic “HIBIKI,” the dreamy “FINA” and the alternately spacey and throbbing “CYBERTRUCK.”

“I know something is going to come out. I know [people are] going to say something. People know everything about me, so what’s left for me to protect? My private life, my personal life,” Bad Bunny told Rolling Stone in an interview published in June.

On Dec. 17, the two officially split. Two weeks later, they were seen celebrating New Years together near Barbados with good friends but confirmed they are “not back together.”

Golfer Scottie Scheffler facing 4 charges after being detained by police near PGA Championship

According to espn, scheffler had failed to follow police orders during a pedestrian fatality investigation, by nbc chicago staff and the associated press • published may 17, 2024 • updated on may 17, 2024 at 9:27 am.

Masters champion Scott Scheffler was detained by police early Friday in Louisville, Kentucky, on his way to the PGA Championship and is now facing charges, NBC News has confirmed.

Court records show Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, a felony, as well as third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding signals from officers directing traffic.

Images showed Scheffler handcuffed as he was led to a police car.

Why was Scottie Scheffler arrested?

An AP report stated traffic was backed up for about a mile in both directions Friday morning on the only road that leads to Valhalla Golf Club, with dozens of police cars flashing red-and-blue lights near the entrance.

Police said a pedestrian had been struck by a bus while crossing the road in a lane that was dedicated to tournament traffic. The PGA later revealed a worker with one of its vendors was "tragically struck and killed by a shuttle bus" outside the Valhalla Golf Club.

"This is heartbreaking to all of us involved with the PGA Championship. We extend our sincere condolences to their family and loved ones," PGA America said in a statement.

ESPN's Jeff Darlington reported Scheffler drove past a police officer in his SUV, which was marked with the PGA Championship logo that identified it as a player vehicle. The officer reportedly screamed at him to stop and then attached himself to the car until Scheffler stopped about 10 yards later.

Darlington reported police pulled Scheffler out of the car, pushed him up against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs.

“Scheffler was then walked over to the police car, placed in the back, in handcuffs, very stunned about what was happening, looked toward me as he was in those handcuffs and said, ‘Please help me,’” Darlington said. “He very clearly did not know what was happening in the situation. It moved very quickly, very rapidly, very aggressively.”

Darlington said police were not sure who he was. He said an officer asked him to leave and when he identified himself being with the media, he was told, “There’s nothing you can do. He’s going to jail.”

Darlington said another police officer later approached with a notepad and asked if he knew the name of the person they put in handcuffs.

Scheffler releases statement

In a statement later Friday morning, Scheffler described what happened.

“This morning, I was proceeding as directed by police officers.  It was a very chaotic situation, understandably so considering the tragic accident that had occurred earlier, and there was a big misunderstanding of what I thought I was being asked to do. I never intended to disregard any of the instructions. I’m hopeful to put this to the side and focus on golf today," he said. “Of course, all of us involved in the tournament express our deepest sympathies to the family of the man who passed away in the earlier accident this morning. It truly puts everything in perspective.”

What does this mean for the PGA Championship?

The PGA of America did not immediately have a comment, though it did delay the start of Round 2 of the tournament due to an "accident near the course ."

In a  following tweet , the organization said that all play of Round 2 would be delayed one hour and minutes from its originally published time. "Play of Round 2 will begin at 8:35 a.m.," the tweet said. "All spectator gates will open at 8 a.m."

Scheffler was seen on the course later Friday morning, but did not address the media upon his arrival.

What else to know about Scheffler

Scheffler is coming off four victories in his last five tournaments, including his second Masters title. He was home in Dallas the last three weeks waiting on the birth of his first child, a son that was born May 8.

Scheffler opened with a 4-under 67 and was five shots out of the lead as he tries to become only the fifth player since 1960 to win the first two majors of the year.

The 2024 PGA Championship, taking place at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, began Thursday and runs through Sunday. Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world, was set to start the second round at 8:48 a.m. He was due to play a little after 10 a.m.

How to ensure your Taylor Swift concert tickets aren't fake

Taylor Swift fans are scrambling for tickets to the pop artist's sold out "Eras Tour ." The rush for seats is also inviting the interest of another party: scammers. 

The Better Business Bureau warns of at least 20 distinct instances of related scams. For example, one consumer  said a Twitter user advertised tickets for sale and requested $800 through mobile payment apps. The victim sent the money, but never received the concert tickets. Other scammers are hacking into Facebook users' accounts to impersonate them and dupe their close contacts into transferring them money for tickets that don't exist.

Strong demand for tickets, coupled with mobile technology that makes it hard to spot fake tickets, puts consumers at risk of being duped into purchasing phony tickets, according to consumer watchdog Public Interest Research Groups (PIRG). Along with Swift, some of the biggest names in entertainment, such as Beyoncé, Pink and the Arctic Monkeys, have upcoming shows, making it important for fans to remain vigilant.

"Desperate music and sports fans can fall for scams involving tickets because they want to go so much that they make bad decisions they wouldn't normally make," Teresa Murray, consumer watchdog at U.S. PIRG Education Fund, said in a statement.

The consumer watchdog urges consumers to avoid buying event tickets through marketplaces like Facebook, Instagram and Craigslist, where scammers may lurk. Even people who secure authentic tickets can be exposed to having their information hacked using such sites, with the group noting that it can be hard or impossible to recoup losses. 

"It's sad, but it's easier than ever for music or sports fans to get scammed by counterfeit tickets or get tricked into providing their personal information," Murray said. "And by the time you realize there's a problem, the thief and your money are long gone."

Common types of ticket scams

• Counterfeit paper or electronic tickets. You shell out for tickets that are invalid. 
• Scammers who have legitimate tickets sell them to multiple buyers.
• Con artists who create bogus websites that mimic sites such as StubHub, VividSeats or TicketMaster to capture consumer search traffic. They pretend to sell tickets but instead steal your credit or debit card information

Tips for avoiding scams

First, don't buy tickets from strangers. Keep your guard up when looking for tickets to attend events at sold-out venues. It's best to purchase tickets through a verified agency. 

"Unless you're buying tickets from someone you actually know — a co-worker, a relative, a super close friend — then don't try to buy tickets from an individual," Murray wrote in a blog  post . 

PIRG also advises against purchasing tickets using a payment service like Zelle, Venmo or PayPal — if it's a scam, it will be impossible to recoup your money. If you willingly pay a third party using one of these services, they are not responsible if you are duped. 

Relatedly, it's better to buy tickets with a credit card than a debit card because the former typically has more protections under the Fair Credit Billing Act. If you're scammed, you can file a claim with your credit issuer and they will typically refund you.

While it may seem obvious, you should only purchase tickets through well-known, reputable resellers. Beware of duplicate sites that mimic those of known companies. Also, research their refund policy just in case the tickets they sell you turn out to be counterfeit. Finally, cross-check the section and seat number on a ticket with the layout of the venue to make sure it actually exists.
