'Gossip Girl' Filming Locations in New York City

You'll recognize these Manhattan spots

gossip girl tour in new york

If you're in New York City and want to see the for-real locations where the teen TV drama "Gossip Girl" was filmed, you don't have far to look. Manhattan is studded with places you'll recognize from this CW Network show, which aired from 2007 to 2012 and starred Kristen Bell, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, and Kelly Rutherford.

Lotte New York Palace

The Lotte New York Palace Hotel is used as the home of Chuck Bass, as well as the Van der Woodsen family on "Gossip Girl." Scenes were shot throughout the hotel from the open courtyard to what is now known as The Gold Room, where Serena Van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) sipped the hotel's signature drink, "The Queen of Mean."

The restaurant GILT was also formerly located in the New York Palace Hotel and was well-known for being featured in a scene where Serena enjoys a grilled cheese sandwich with truffles. GILT is now closed.

Museum of the City of New York

The front of the Museum of the City of New York is used in the series as the front entrance to the Constance Billard School for Girls and St. Jude School for Boys.

Steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

TripSavvy / Brakethrough Media

The steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art are where Blair (Leighton Meester) often has lunch with her friends on "Gossip Girl." The show makes it seem as if the museum steps are just across the street from the school, but in reality, the locations used for the school and the Metropolitan Museum of Art are about 20 blocks apart on the Upper East Side.

Dylan's Candy Bar

Dylan's Candy Bar is where Dan and Vanessa hang out while Vanessa buys Nate an anniversary gift of sour gummy worms on "Gossip Girl." With more than 7,000 types of candy and 15,000 square feet of retail space, Dylan's Candy Bar is the largest candy store in the world. It was opened in 2001 by Dylan Lauren, daughter of Ralph Lauren. The one featured on "Gossip Girl" is their flagship location at 1011 Third Avenue.

Henri Bendel

Henri Bendel, at its 712 Fifth Avenue location, is a favorite shopping destination on the series. The "Gossip Girl" Season 2 Premiere Party was actually held at Henri Bendel, and many dresses and accessories used on the show came from Henri Bendel, including both Serena and Blair's prom dresses. Henri Bendel was used as a shooting location when Jenny Humphrey calls her brother Dan when she's having a "fashion emergency" as she looks for a dress for the Kiss on the Lips Party. Henri Bendel is now closed but stroll by its remaining facade for a familiar "Gossip Girl" scene.

Barrio Chino

Barrio Chino is featured as a location on "Gossip Girl" during a flashback scene where Serena Van der Woodsen stumbles out of a bar drunk on Thanksgiving and bumps into Dan Humphrey.

Babycakes NYC (now Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC)

Dan Humphrey emerges from this bakery with Thanksgiving pies before bumping into Serena Van der Woodsen as she stumbles out onto Broome Street. Dan ends up dropping the pies when he stops Serena from getting hit by a car. Babycakes is now Erin McKenna’s Bakery.

Cafe Habana

Dan Humphrey gets sandwiches for himself and his dad at Cafe Habana on "Gossip Girl."

Tory Burch Shop

Tory Burch fashions are discussed on "Gossip Girl," and Blake Lively was spotted wearing a Tory Burch Sgt. Pepper jacket on the set of the series. Tory Burch actually makes an appearance (as herself) in the fourth episode of Season 3 of "Gossip Girl." Check out the shop at 38-40 Little W 12th Street.

True fans know where the real “Ehrlich Residence Hall” is.

Watching the show Gossip Girl can do two things to a viewer. One: it can give you the strange urge to go shopping and buy a lot of headbands, even if you've never worn one before. Two: it can help inspire a trip into Manhattan to get a glimpse at everything New York City has to offer. Even if you already live in New York, one episode of Gossip Girl can be enough to make you want to explore the city more. The show makes Manhattan seem even more alluring than it already is, a place full of magical romantic moments, crazy dramatic scenes, and tons of luxury. Even if you can't live the life of a Gossip Girl cast member (and think about it: would you really want to? They have a lot going on!), you can pretend you can by visiting the spots they use as backdrops during the show. GG was filmed in New York, on location at many famous places, and there are lots of Gossip Girl New York filming locations you can actually visit in real life.

Whether you live in New York and you just want to check out more of your own city, or you're planning a vacation and want to do your own Gossip Girl tour , the below sites are ones you definitely need to see with your very own eyes. Just be sure to plan far in advance: some of these places can be a little exclusive — what would you expect anything else from the lives of Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen ?

Grand Central Station

The beautiful main lobby of Grand Central Station is where we first get a glimpse of Serena — and that backdrop couldn't be more beautiful. Known as an architectural landmark as well as a bustling transportation hub, Grand Central Station is worth exploring. You can head to any of the restaurants on the upstairs balconies to people watch or go downstairs to do a little shopping.

Campbell Apartment

gossip girl tour in new york

Another memorable early Gossip Girl scene is that infamous Serena and Nate Archibald affair, which happened right before Serena left town and blew up her relationship with Blair. The hookup — and Serena and Nate’s subsequent reenactment in Dan Humphrey ’s overthinking head — took place on the literal Campbell Apartment bar, located in Grand Central Terminal. Stop in for a drink at the must-visit spot.

New York Palace Hotel

Serena and her family — along with Chuck Bass — lived in the Palace Hotel on Madison Avenue for a long time. The Lotte New York Palace is not exactly the most inexpensive place to stay in the city (far from it), but it is a beautiful spot to visit if you want a taste of luxury. If you can't get a room, snap a pic in the courtyard as the restaurant GILT is no longer open.

The Plaza Hotel’s Pulitzer Fountain

After Eleanor Waldorf and her fashion team tried to trick Serena into replacing Blair as the face of the brand, the two frenemies stole a couple of backless dresses from the rooftop photoshoot and had one of their own. If you love visiting scenic fountains, you’ll definitely want to check out the Plaza Hotel’s Pulitzer Fountain , which is where Blair and Serena had an impromptu photoshoot with the help of a random passerby.

Veselka is one of Dan's favorite spots for pierogis and comfort food, and it's also where Blair and Prince Louis went on a date once. Veselka is a real restaurant you can go to while you pretend to wait for Dan to come hang with you. It's an old Ukrainian restaurant located in the East Village, dating back over 60 years, and it's known for delicious food, even if it's not super fancy.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

gossip girl tour in new york

The steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art are where Blair, Serena, and their friends hung out before and after school (remember, "Little J, could you move down a step?"). In real life, the Met is an incredibly popular art museum in New York that is always worth a visit. The architecture is gorgeous, and the artwork is extensive. Try to find a spot on the steps if you want to sit outside and pretend to be Blair.

To witness the fine, expensive neighborhood Blair dragged for filth and turned her nose up at any chance she got, cross the river and see the Humphreys’ side of town for yourself. For views of the external shots of Dan, Jenny , Rufus, and sometimes Alison’s loft, you’ll need to head to 455 Water Street in DUMBO , right near the Manhattan Bridge.

Museum of the City of New York

gossip girl tour in new york

The outside of the Museum of the City of New York is used as the entrance to Constance Billard School for girls and St. Jude School for boys. You can simply walk by to check it out yourself, or you can head inside to get a glimpse at history and artwork. Notable past exhibits include Worth & Mainbocher Demystifying the Haute Couture and The City Within , which highlights the beauty of Brooklyn and might’ve been an educational experience for Blair.

The Empire Hotel

In Season 3 of Gossip Girl , Chuck invests in The Empire Hotel , which is indeed a very real hotel in New York. It's located practically right across the street from Lincoln Center. If you can't spring for a room, head up to The Empire Rooftop for beautiful views of the city and a drink. They even have a cocktail inspired by Gossip Girl !

Empire State Building

Who could forget that scene where Blair rushes to meet Chuck on the observation deck at the Empire State Building , minutes after he's already left? Chuck was being dramatic and the worst during that scene (like he was much of the show), but the Empire State Building is part of Gossip Girl history. If you're looking for a stunning view of Manhattan, head up there to get it.

The Russian Tea Room

The glamorous Russian Tea Room makes a few appearances in Gossip Girl — most notably in the Season 2 episode where Georgina Sparks is scamming Poppy — and is a very cool place to visit. Go for tea or some food, but be prepared to make your reservations far in advance as this “enchanting, magical place” has a 94-year reputation as one of the best spots in town.

Central Park Fountain

gossip girl tour in new york

A lot of major Gossip Girl scenes happened in Central Park — especially near the iconic Bethesda Fountain . Serena and Blair once made up by the fountain after that fight in which Blair tried to embarrass Serena in front of the Ivy Leave school reps, and it's also where Chuck and Blair eventually get married. Take a stroll through the area to see it yourself.

King Cole Bar

According to Serena, the best “Red Snapper,” aka a Bloody Mary, in New York can be found at the King Cole Bar . And it must be true because the restaurant, which is is located in the swanky St. Regis New York hotel, boasts just as much on its website. While it temporarily closed during the pandemic — like Blair’s favorite The Modern — King Cole Bar typically serves a range of light bites. That is, unless you scored the coveted Table 55, which enjoys “exclusive chef’s custom-designed menu and a bespoke wine list from the hotel’s coveted cellar.”

Barrio Chino

Barrio Chino is a real Mexican restaurant on Broome Street in New York, and also the place that Serena spent a Thanksgiving afternoon in 2006 after drinking her family woes away. Right outside Barrio Chino is where Dan saved Serena from being hit by a taxi and sacrificed his family’s pie in the process. Serena didn’t remember the moment, but it certainly left a lasting impression on Dan, who hinted at it during the first Thanksgiving together.

Synod Of Bishops Russian Orthodox Church

You already know the exterior of St. Jude's is filmed at the Museum of the City of New York, but the interior was filmed a few blocks south in the Synod of Bishops Russian Orthodox Church , which features an administrative building and two connected churches. You can head over there to see it yourself and get a feel for Dan, Nate, and Chuck’s old stomping grounds.

St. James Church

gossip girl tour in new york

Remember the first time Blair married? Her scandalous wedding to Prince Louis happened at the beautiful St. James Church on the Upper East Side. Though Blair’s marriage was short-lived, thanks to her undying feelings for Chuck, this church has been standing since 1810. You can take in the beautiful architecture and design for free, and a visit will also double as an opportunity to see where famed author John Steinbeck requested his funeral to be held .

Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum

Another marriage that didn’t last: Lily van der Woodsen and Bart Bass’s . Though the two’s on-again, off-again relationship was ultimately cut short due to a tragic car accident, there were some sorta bright times in their marriage. Lily’s clear feelings for Rufus be damned, two tied the knot in Season 1 at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum , and it's one sight you won't want to miss.

Butter is the spot among the NYC prep school elite on TV. Err, except for when it was declared in Season 1 that “not going to Butter is so much better than going to Butter” and Jenny and her group of fair-weather sidekicks trick Blair into going alone. Located in Midtown, the softly lit restaurant and bar will serve as a worthy dining experience for any superfan looking for a taste of the sweet life.

Henri Bendel

Cue up a “Moon River” instrumental track, hop out a yellow cab, and slowly approach what used to be Henri Bendel’s flagship on Fifth Ave. to recreate the ultimate Blair main character moment complete with an existential crisis. Unfortunately, Bendel’s brick-and-mortar shops went bust in 2019 , but you can obviously still visit the area and mourn the loss of the iconic NYC institution.

“Ehrlich Residence Hall”

Can you even say you went on a Gossip Girl NYC tour if you don’t stop over at NYU’s campus ? Since it’s extremely ill-advised and creepy to try to sneak into a college dorm that is not your own, if you don’t have a key card, don’t even attempt to access the roof of “Ehrlich Residence Hall,” which many believe to be Rubin Hall on Fifth Ave. Instead, just soak up the Dan and Blair collegiate vibes by hanging around Washington Square Park, which is basically the university’s quad.

Gossip Girl Location Tour

1. the palace hotel.

The Palace Hotel

Walk in the shoes of Serena for a moment and pretend you’re heading home, as Lotte New York Palace was the set of the Van Der Woodsen’s residence. You’ll remember many scenes where both Dan and Nate would wait for little Miss Serena out here!

Want to go a mile further in Serena’s shoes? Really live like her with Lotte New York Palace’s special Gossip Girl package! The package includes a welcome gift pack full of macarons and Prosecco gummy bears. And of course, if you’re living it large, you’ve gotta have that champagne! Plus, you’ll get “Spotted at The Palace” postcards that map out all of the filming locations within the Lotte Palace, which make awesome memorabilia, and 25% off on tickets to the “ On Location Gossip Girl Sites Tour “!

Address : 455 Madison Ave. (50th/51st Streets)

2. Grand Central Terminal

gossip-girl-pilot-s01e01

When you order Serena Van Der Woodsen off Temu.

Of course, no Gossip Girl tour is complete without a visit to the infamous Grand Central Station, as this is where we are first introduced to Miss Serena Van Der Woodsen, looking all forlorn.

This is also where Dan first spots Serena which then sparks Gossip Girl’s blast informing everyone that S is indeed back in town. In hindsight, now we know why… no spoilers here!

Besides being a perfect Gossip Girl pilgrimage, it’s also a great stop to marvel at the stunning architecture. I have a secret about the Grand Central Station you won’t want to miss in my 4 Days in New York: A Non-FOMO Itinerary for First Timers guide!

Address : Grand Central Station, 89 E 42nd St

3. The Campbell Apartment

gossip girl tour in new york

While you’re at Grand Central Station, pop by Campbell Apartment which is right downstairs. This is where that hot and steamy scene between Nate and Serena in Season was filmed, so perhaps you could get some action of your own here? 😉 Or, maybe not!

4. The Met Steps

gossip girl tour in new york

Ahh, what’s a Gossip Girl tour without the infamous Met Steps?

Oh, how many secrets have been whispered beneath the shadow of those grandiose steps! From clandestine meetings to scandalous rendezvous, the Met Steps have witnessed it all.

With its majestic backdrop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this coveted filming location from Gossip Girl serves as the epicenter of drama, romance, and intrigue. So slip on your designer threads, grab a yogurt, and sit on the Met steps with your own little minions.

Address : The MET, 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street

5. The Humphrey Loft

The Humphrey Loft

Now let’s cross over to lonely boy territory.

Take a trip across to Brooklyn to where this Lonely Boy used to live with his sister and dad, Jenny and Rufus. It’s located right under the Manhattan Bridge which also makes for a great photo!

I whipped my phone out for this one to get into character! Could I be sending a tip to Gossip Girl?

Address:  455 Water Street, Apartment #6, Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

6. Nate Archibald’s Townhouse

Nate Archibald's Townhouse

I used to have a healthy (read: unhealthy) crush on Nate Archibald back when the Gossip Girl series aired, often daydreaming of what it would be like to hold the title of Mrs. Archibald.

So when I first arrived here, I was squealing and giggling like a schoolgirl which I will spare you the photos of.

Address : 4 E 74th Street, New York

7. The Empire State Building

Empire State Building

Who can forget that Blair-Chuck drama that happened atop the Empire State Building ? Plus, it boasts an excellent view of the city! Alternatively, head up to the Top of the Rock for a different perspective (and a view of the city with the Empire State Building in it!)

Do note you’ll need to purchase tickets to get up to both these buildings! Of course, many people ask the question:  Is the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock better?  It depends on what you’re after.  Obviously, if you’re on Top of the Rock, you get the view of the Empire State Building  and vice versa. Well, if you get the  CityPASS , you get to see both!

Address : 20 W 34th St

8. Central Park

gossip girl tour in new york

There were so many scenes shot at Central Park, that you’ll be spending a considerable amount of time in the park itself.

But perhaps the most iconic is by the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. This is where Blair and Serena finally agree to a truce, and where Chuck and Blair say their “I Do’s”.

9. Dylan’s Candy Bar

gossip girl tour in new york

This may be a lesser-known scene, but it’s where Dan and Vanessa shopped for Nate’s anniversary present. It’s also the biggest candy store in the world housing over 5,000 different types of candy so it doubles as a perfect stop for you sweet tooths!

Address:  1011 3rd Ave, New York, NY

10. Pulitzer Fountain @ The Plaza

gossip girl tour in new york

This was one of my favorite scenes between Serena and Blair, where they stole some outfits from Blair’s mother’s photoshoot and had their own fun little photoshoot outside Central Park. This fountain can be found right outside the Plaza Hotel close to Central Park.

Address:  Between 5th Ave and 59th Street, New York, NY

11. Museum of the City of New York

gossip girl tour in new york

While it may look like just another stuffy museum from the outside, insiders know that it’s the entrance to Constance Billard School for girls and St. Jude School for boys.

But don’t let the school facade fool you – inside, you’ll find a treasure trove of history and artwork that probably had Blair Waldorf brushing up on her Brooklyn knowledge.

Address : 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd St.

12. The Empire Hotel

The Empire Hotel

You would’ve heard a lot about the Empire Hotel in the series, and it’s cool to know it actually exists! There are a few scenes that Chuck and Blair filmed here, including the memorable scene where Chuck surprises Blair with her favorite things from Paris!

The coolest thing is the hotel actually serves a lineup of  Gossip Girl –themed cocktails at the bar, including the “Lonely Boy” and “Jenny’s Tartlet! I think I would really love to stay here and pretend that Chuck Bass actually owned the hotel and maybe sneak a chance to bump into him 😉

Address : 44 West 63rd Street

13. Veselka

It’s no secret that Veselka is one of Dan Humphrey’s go-to haunts for a taste of comfort food and those famous pierogis. But did you know it’s also where Blair Waldorf and Prince Louis once had a date? Talk about mixing the worlds of high society and down-to-earth eats.

It’s a real restaurant you can dine in, with over 60 years of history, Veselka’s old-school charm and delicious Ukrainian cuisine are sure to make you feel like you’re part of the gossip girl gang – even if Dan isn’t showing up to sweep you off your feet.

Address : 144 2nd Ave

14. The Russian Tea Room

This glamorous spot has made a cameo or two in the world of Gossip Girl, adding an extra layer of sophistication to the already lavish scenes. Remember when Georgina Sparks was up to her old tricks with Poppy? That’s right, the Russian Tea Room was the backdrop for that unforgettable encounter.

But beyond its on-screen allure, this enchanting establishment is a must-visit for any discerning New Yorker. Whether you’re there for tea or a decadent meal, just be sure to plan ahead – with a 94-year reputation for excellence, securing a reservation at this magical spot can be as challenging as navigating the social hierarchy of the Upper East Side.

Address : 150 W 57th St

15. Barrio Chino

Barrio Chino is an authentic Mexican haunt nestled on Broome Street, where Serena van der Woodsen sought solace amid her family dramas one fateful Thanksgiving afternoon in 2006.

It’s where she drowned her sorrows, perhaps a little too deeply, before fate intervened in the form of a taxi hurtling towards her. Luckily, our dear Dan Humphrey was there to play the gallant hero, sacrificing his family’s pie in a bid to save her.

Though Serena may not have remembered the incident, it certainly left an indelible mark on Dan’s heart, a memory he couldn’t help but allude to during their inaugural Thanksgiving together. Oh, the drama of it all!

Address : 253 Broome St

16. Synod Of Bishops Russian Orthodox Church

While the Museum of the City of New York served as the exterior of St Jude’s, the Synod of Bishops Russian Orthodox Church just a few blocks south served as the interior.

Address : 75 E 93rd St #1331

17. St. James Church

It was here, amidst the grandeur of its historic halls, that Blair Waldorf exchanged vows with Prince Louis, igniting a firestorm of gossip and intrigue among the Upper East Side elite.

While Blair’s union may have been short-lived, her wedding venue endures as a timeless symbol of love and tradition. Steeped in history since its founding in 1810, St. James Church welcomes visitors to admire its stunning architecture and timeless beauty.

And fun fact: it’s also the final resting place requested by none other than literary luminary John Steinbeck himself. Oh, the tales these hallowed halls could tell!

Address: 865 Madison Ave

18. Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum

In Season 1, this is where Lily and Bart exchanged vows, sealing their union with all the pomp and grandeur befitting their status.

Despite the fleeting nature of their happiness, the memory of their wedding lingers on, a testament to the complexities of love and the fragility of human relationships.

Address : 2 E 91st St

Butter, the hallowed ground of the NYC prep school elite—or so they say. In Season 1, a cunning ruse led Blair to a solo venture at Butter, much to her chagrin.

Nevertheless, this softly lit establishment nestled in Midtown remains a beacon of culinary excellence and social allure.

For any dedicated superfan seeking to savor a slice of the sweet life, a visit to Butter promises an unforgettable dining experience worthy of the Upper East Side’s finest.

Address : 70 W 45th St

20. Henri Bendel

As you cue up the soothing strains of “Moon River” and step out of a classic yellow cab, you can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia wash over you.

Here, on Fifth Avenue, stands what was once the illustrious flagship of Henri Bendel—a place that held countless memories for our beloved Blair Waldorf.

Though the brick-and-mortar shops of Bendel’s may have met their end in 2019, the spirit of glamour and sophistication they embodied lives on in the heart of New York City.

So, take a moment to pay homage to this iconic institution, and perhaps even channel your inner Blair as you stroll past its now-shuttered doors, reminiscing on the days of yore.

Address : 712 5th Ave

21. “Ehrlich Residence Hall”

No Gossip Girl NYC tour would be complete without a stopover at NYU’s campus, right? But let’s keep things above board—sneaking into college dorms is a big no-no, folks. So, unless you’ve got a key card, leave the rooftop adventures to the students.

Rumor has it that “Ehrlich Residence Hall” might just be Rubin Hall on Fifth Ave, but let’s not push our luck. Instead, why not soak up the collegiate atmosphere by lounging around Washington Square Park? It’s basically the university’s quad, and hey, you might just catch a glimpse of some Dan and Blair vibes while you’re there.

Gossip Girl Hotels

And if taking a walk in the shoes of the elite isn’t enough, why not live like them for a night or two? You actually can stay in two of the locations listed above if you’re willing to shell out a little extra!

MY TOP TRAVEL TIPS & RESOURCES

Here are my top travel tips and resources to help you save money and plan your trips effectively! If you're looking for more tips, head over to my travel tips resource page or my comprehensive guide on trip planning .

  • Booking Flights: When it comes to finding great flight deals, I always start my search on Google Flights or Skyscanner . To save some cash, consider flying mid-week or on the weekends, opt for carry-on only with budget airlines, and be open to red-eye or early morning flights. Check out my in-depth guide on how I find the cheapest flights .
  • Accommodations : I'm a stickler for finding the absolute best deals on my stays, so I will obsessively oscillate between a few booking sites: Booking . com (in general) and Agoda (for Asian destinations). When it comes to vacation rentals, there's Airbnb or VRBO .
  • Travel Insurance : It's always a wise decision to purchase travel insurance for international trips. I can't stress this enough - it's highly recommended! For international travel insurance, I suggest considering World Nomads or SafetyWing . SafetyWing , in particular, stands out as one of the few policies that cover Covid-19. They also offer excellent monthly policies that are perfect for digital nomads and long-term travelers!
  • Travel Credit Card : My go-to travel credit card for booking trips is the Wise travel card. I love that there are no foreign transaction fees, so I can pay like a local and never get any surprises at the end of my trip. You can also withdraw cash from the ATMs wherever you are. With  Wise , you are always guaranteed the best exchange rate, and I have saved  sooo  much money just by using this card. Most of the time, I get charged the exchange rate I see on Google, plus or minus a few cents.
  • Tours: Most times, I prefer traveling independently but sometimes, getting a guide and a local's perspective makes the experience all the more enriching. When it comes to tour bookings, I trust Viator and GetYourGuide to provide me with excellent options. In Asia, I choose Klook as they are the biggest provider in the region. Plus, you can often get entrance tickets and discounted prices!
  • Transportation : To navigate through public transit options and plan my journeys from one place to another, I rely on Rome2Rio. When it comes to rental cars, I compare rental companies and find the best deals through DiscoverCars .
  • Connection : It's essential to me to have seamless connectivity wherever I go. I need it to navigate to new places, Google what's around me, and keep in touch with my loved ones. But fumbling around with multiple SIMs has always been a nightmare, which is why I choose Airalo when I travel. No more switching SIMs, just purchase a plan on your phone, on the go, anywhere, and stay connected.
  • Luggage Storage : Whenever I need to check out early or take advantage of a long layover, I securely store my luggage with LuggageHero . It's a reliable service that allows me to roam around freely. As a bonus, you can use this link to enjoy your first hour of FREE luggage storage on me!
  • What to Pack : I always have packing anxiety once I've left home— you know the phantom feeling that you've forgotten something even though you've checked 372836 times . So I made my own packing list and use it religiously before every trip, and by religious I mean I tick off that list at least 7 times before I zip up my bag. Check out my in-depth packing list here.

filming locations Gossip Girl

1 – The Met steps

The girls’ habit of getting lunch on the steps made this filming location one of the most popular ones. However, did you know that sitting on the Met steps is actually prohibited? But climbing them is for sure allowed. Luckily, most of the Gossip girl tours in New York include a visit of this filming location!

2 – The Empire Hotel

Yes, Chuck’s hotel is none of a fiction! It is even one of the most famous buildings in NYC. Situated along West 63rd Street, it has red lights that you can’t miss!

3 – Grand Central Terminal

We couldn’t talk about Gossip Girl tours in New York without mentioning one of the first filming locations of the series. Indeed, the Grand Central Terminal is where we see Serena for the first time while she arrives in NYC after a year abroad. This made this filming location one of the most iconic ones.

4 – Constance Billard & St. Jude’s high schools

Did you know that Constance Billard and St. Jude’s filming location was actually not a high school but a museum? Indeed, the scenes were filmed in the museum of the city of New York, situated on 1220 5th Ave, New York. We can see from the outside the stairs where Blair got some yogurt dumped on her by Jenny and Penelope.

5 – Henri Bendel Shop

During the entire show, we hear a lot about this shop where the girls are used to get their dresses from. You can have the possibility to enter the shop situated on 5th Avenue if you want to do some shopping. If you are on a budget, it can also be for the pleasure of being in the girl’s shoes for a day!

6 – The Bethesda Terrace and Fountain

Situated in Central Park, the Bethesda Terrace and Fountain is for sure one of the most crucial attraction of the Gossip Girl tours in New York. Blair and Chuck’s wedding made this filming location a stop not to miss while visiting the city.

7 – The Palace Hotel

Situated on 455 Madison Ave, the palace hotel is a stunning and prestigious building. Roman architecture creates a perfect contrast with the high buildings that surround the hotel. We can say that Serena and her mother have good tastes when it comes to living places!

8 – Vera Wang Boutique

Vera Wang is the boutique where Blair tried on her wedding gown. Who would have known that this wedding would be a complete nightmare? But let’s be real, deep down we didn’t want Blair to marry Louis, especially when we knew that Chuck Bass was waiting for her!

9 – Nate’s House

Near Central Park on four east on 74th street, you will find Nate’s house. It has a very charming entrance and would be perfect for some Instagram pictures!

10 – Saint James Church

You may or may not be a big fan of Louis and Blair as a couple, but the Saint James church they got married in is magnificent. Besides, it is located at 865 Madison Ave, which is about 5 minutes away from Nate’s house! It really does worth a visit!

11 – The Pond

This is definitely a place not to miss while having a Gossip Girl tour in New York! The Pond, where Blair used to feed the ducks, is situated in Central Park. Feeding the ducks is kind of a tradition among the locals. You may not have Dorota to keep you company, but you know that it would surely make you feel like a real New York resident!

12 – Humphrey’s Apartment

Now let’s get out of the Upper East Side and head to Brooklyn, where the Humphrey family lives. Located on 450 Water Street in the center of Brooklyn, their loft is only a few minutes away from the Manhattan Bridge, which always introduces the scenes filmed in Brooklyn during the show.

13 – New York University

Even though NYU is known for being a prestigious University, it is seen as the worst place ever for Blair, who wanted to go to Yale. It has six campuses in total, the main one being in Greenwich Village, Manhattan.

14 – The Empire State Building

In Gossip Girl, this building has a considerable history. Indeed, this is where Blair was supposed to meet Chuck after he opened up about his feelings. Do you remember what happened next? Blair didn’t show up in due time, even though she had the same feelings for him. How frustrating for us watching, right? Anyway, this building is open to the tourists if you want to enjoy the view and be part of this fantastic filming location.

15 – Dylan’s Candy Bar

Apart from being a colossal candy store high of three floors, this is one of the filming locations used for the show. Dan and Vanessa went there to buy a present for Nate. Indeed, the store offers a wide variety of delicious candies. The good news is that most of the Gossip Girl tours include this stop in their tours! Don’t forget to enjoy it with moderation!

16 – Columbia University

After a few months at NYU, Blair is transferred to Columbia University, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, since it is part of the Ivy League. Situated on Morningside Heights, it is a little bit far from the Upper East Side, but it could be a great stop to add to your list.

17 – the Pulitzer Fountain

Do you remember this iconic scene where Blair and Serena did their shooting photo wearing Eleanor Waldorf dresses? Well, this was filmed at the Pulitzer Fountain in Central Park. So don’t forget this stop, especially if you are doing a Gossip Girl tour with your best friend!

18 – Blair’s Apartment

Finally, last but not least, Blair’s apartment. Did you know that Blair’s Penthouse is actually just a stage built up for the show? Indeed, the stairs are leading to nothing! Nevertheless, the building is situated on 1136 5th Avenue, so there is always a chance for you to see it from the outside.

gossip girl tour in new york

Did you know that the producers would spend anywhere from $10,000 to $60,000 per day to film all around the city of New York? This is an additional reason for having a tour of the town with a real professional guide that will make sure you don’t miss anything! According to your preferences, you will find different ways to visit the city:

First of all, we have coaches who are the most convenient way to have a guided tour of the city. The guides know each filming location perfectly and often share fun facts with exciting stories about the show. Moreover, in these kinds of tours, you can find a little screen where some scenes from the show are shown to relate to real-life easily. This is a unique life experience, and people are generally super satisfied with it.

If you prefer walking, you can have a tour on foot. Nevertheless, the city is massive, so if you want to have enough time to see most of it, we suggest that you take an unlimited MetroCard pass for the time of your stay.

Finally, many of the Gossip Girl tours in New York are made by pedicab. It is very convenient because it protects you from the rain while enjoying the open air. It has the great side of having the tour on foot, and it also allows you to go faster so you can have the time to see more things. You Know You'll Love This Rare Catch-Up With Gossip Girl 's Taylor Momsen

For taylor momsen, gossip girl was a day job on her way to living out her rock and roll dreams with her band the pretty reckless—and trusting her instincts is the best decision she ever made..

After Gossip Girl   ended, Taylor Momsen  turned the page and never flipped back.

Though she speaks affectionately of Jenny Humphrey —she hopes the aspiring designer is busy "making some awesome clothes, doing what she loves"—the singer didn't think of acting as much more than a placeholder until she was free to do what she really wanted.

Pursuing music "was never a pivot for me," Momsen told E! News' Francesca Amiker  in an exclusive interview . "I grew up writing songs and I've been singing since before I can remember. As soon as I could write, it became this way for me to express myself. I played in bands in middle school and I was always working at this."

She added, "Acting was always a day job. It was a cool experience, but it was my childhood."

So, Momsen formed her band  The Pretty Reckless  while living in New York and, when she turned 18 in 2011, "I quit everything else and just focused on music. It was the best decision I ever made, because it's my true passion."

But while she's living the dream—she and bandmates Ben Phillips , Mark Damon and Jamie Perkins will be opening for The Rolling Stones  in Las Vegas May 11 and then join AC/DC 's Power Up Tour starting May 17 in Germany—she prefers to express herself through her lyrics.

"Talking about music has always been a struggle," the 30-year-old admitted. "Talking about music is like dancing about architecture. It's something you have to hear to understand."

To be sure, though, when she's writing songs, "I draw from my life, from my personal experiences—it covers the highs and lows and everything in between."

The How the Grinch Stole Christmas  alum  funneled all the pain and hopelessness she was feeling following the deaths of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell  in 2017 and producer  Kato Khandwala in 2018 into The Pretty Reckless' fourth studio album,  Death by Rock and Roll .

All she would divulge about their next album was that it was "going phenomenally" before they were lured away to tour, but after the last chord has been strummed Momsen plans on jetting right back to the studio.

"Every record's a journey and I don't really know where that journey's gonna end up until it's finished," she explained. "But we've taken a step forward in our art and I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I'm going with it."

In the meantime, she'd already been having a blast just rehearsing every night with her band, a process she loves "because it's just the four of us making music without the pressure of the show," she said. But when they do take the stage in front of an audience, "we're going to do our thing like we always do."

Only this time, she has "this new outlook on life," she shared. "One with the universe, be breezy and don't overthink things too much. And I'm sure that these experiences we're about to have with the Stones and AC/DC, there'll be something to draw from as well. Everything happens for a reason, to a degree, so I'm sure there'll be songs that aren't written yet."

And a lot has happened to prove to Momsen she was right to trust her instincts at such an early age.

She'd tell child actors trying to navigate life in the public eye to "know it's a bunch of crap," Momsen added. "Do what you love, focus on your craft and yourself as a human being, and take care of yourself."

Going after her dream of being in a rock band "was the best decision I ever made," she noted. "Anyone who is in this industry, it's very easy to get pulled in different directions. As long as you keep your sense of self and your center, and follow what you really want, then you're never disappointed."

So, while it may have looked at times as if Momsen was going through some big transformation —though she was evolving, "as you do as a human"—she was really just coming into her own.

"This is who I always was," she said. "I feel very at peace with myself and that's a nice place to live."

Nicer, even, than the Upper East side. Keep reading to see where the rest of the sprawling cast of  Gossip Girl  is now:

The actress, who portrayed It Girl Serena van der Woodsen, has been keeping very busy since the end of Gossip Girl . A few months prior to the 2012 finale, Lively tied the knot with actor Ryan Reynolds  and they're now the proud parents to four kids: daughters  James , Inez  and  Betty  and a baby born in 2023 , whose name and sex has not been revealed. In recent years, she's starred in hit movies The Age of Adaline ,  The Shallows,  A Simple Favor and The Rhythm Section.

Lonely Boy no more! Badgley, who portrayed Dan Humphrey (who, spoiler alert, was ultimately revealed to be Gossip Girl), has been making headlines for his turn as stalker Joe Goldberg on the hit Netflix series  You . On a more personal note, Badgley is also a married man. The actor tied the knot with  Domino Kirke , the sister of Girls actress Jemima Kirke , in Feb. 2017. They welcomed their first baby together  in August 2020. Of course, fans of GG remember Badgley and Lively dated during the show's early run before splitting in 2010.

The actress, who portrayed Blair Waldorf, has been making a splash in the comedy world in recent years, starring in ABC's  Single Parents .

Meester  married actor Adam Brody (aka The O.C. 's Seth Cohen) and they're parents of a daughter named Arlo , born in 2015 , and a son born in 2020, whose name has not been revealed.

For six seasons, viewers swooned over Crawford's character Nate Archibald. Since the 2012 finale, Crawford has starred in ABC's  Blood & Oil , as well as films  Eloise and  All About Nina . Crawford now stars in the Amazon original series The Boys .

Westwick rose to fame as Chuck Bass and after hanging up his character's signature scarf, he went on to appear in 2013's  Romeo & Juliet  and star in 2015's short-lived ABC drama  Wicked City . He also starred in the British TV series  White Gold .

In the fall of 2017, the Los Angeles Police Department started an investigation into sexual assault allegations made by several women against Westwick, which he denied . In July 2018, the Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to prosecute Westwick  after determining there wasn't enough evidence to file charges in two instances and a third accuser failed to cooperate with investigators.

Little J has come a long way since her days trying to snag a place in Blair's crew. Momsen was just 14 when she starred as Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl , though she left the show in 2010 as music was her ultimate passion from an early age. She went on to form and front her band The Pretty Reckless when she was 17. They have released four studio albums.

As for a potential return to acting? "I never say never anymore in life, especially now with all the curveballs the world is throwing everyone," she told E! in March at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards , her first red carpet in five years. "But no immediate plans."

Szohr burst onto the Hollywood scene with her breakout role as Vanessa Abrams in GG . Since that time, the actress has appeared in films The Internship , Ted 2 and Two Night Stand . She's also been on TV shows Kingdom , Shameless and The Orville .

She  gave birth to  daughter Bowie Ella with hockey pro fiancé  Brad Richardson in January 2021.

Since the finale in 2012, the snarky narrator—who returned for the reboot— tied the knot with longtime love Dax Shepard , with whom she shares daughters Lincoln  and Delta . In the acting world, the actress starred in Hulu's Veronica Mars revival and NBC's  The Good Place . Bell also fronted the Bad Moms films and voices Anna in Disney's  Frozen and Frozen 2 .

Remember when Bucky Barnes was on was on Gossip Girl ? That's right, the actor appeared in 11 episodes of the CW series as bad boy Carter Baizen from 2007 to 2010 and dated Leighton Meester during that time.

Since his time on the show, Stan has become a household name thanks to his role as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in the Captain America and Avengers films. He recently starred on Disney+'s The Falcon and Winter Soldier opposite Anthony Mackie  and in Hulu's  Pam & Tommy .

It's hard to believe it's been a decade since Duff made a guest appearance on GG . In her six-episode arc, she appeared as Hollywood star Olivia Burke, who sparked a romance with Dan while at NYU and infamously engaged in a threesome with the not-so-Lonely Boy and his BFF Vanessa.

Since then, Duff starred in her own hit TV series, Younger and, more recently, How I Met Your Father . She was about to step back into Lizzie McGuire's platform sandals for a Disney+ revival , but it didn't work out due to differing creative visions.

In 2019, the "So Yesterday" singer married musician  Matthew Koma , and they share daughters  Banks  and Mae , who the couple welcomed in March 2021 . She's also mom to son  Luca from her relationship with Mike Comrie .

Ryan Reynolds jokes he, Blake Lively are waiting for Taylor Swift to reveal name of baby No. 4

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Ryan Reynolds dodged questions about his fourth child with Blake Lively by name-dropping Taylor Swift on Monday’s episode of “Today.”

The couple welcomed their youngest in early 2023 and have never shared the little one’s name or sex publicly — but that didn’t stop Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie from inquiring.

“The only way this is going to make more news … is if you tell us the name of your fourth child,” Guthrie said. “Which I know you won’t do but Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics!”

The 14-time Grammy winner has famously used the couple’s eldest three daughters — James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4 — as inspiration for several of her songs.

Although Reynolds wouldn’t reveal the now-1-year-old’s moniker, Guthrie asked if the fourth child’s name is anywhere on Swift’s new record, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

“We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is,” the “Deadpool” star joked. “And I’ll say this: We’re still waiting.”

“She’s a prolific writer — I mean, what are we doing here?” he sarcastically added. “And ‘lazy’ is not a word I’d attach to Taylor.”

Although Reynolds, 47, and Lively, 36, have kept their children out of the spotlight, Swift used the girls’ names in her song “Betty.”

A voice recording of James is also featured on Swift’s song “Gorgeous” from her 2017 album, “Reputation.”

However, Reynolds previously assured fans that he and the “Gossip Girl” star don’t mind Swift, 34, using their daughters’ names in her songs.

“We trust her implicitly. She’s very sensitive to any of that stuff,” he said in a 2021 interview . “And, obviously, the song has nothing to do with our kids other than our kids’ names. But I mean, what an honor.”

The two actors, who wed in 2012 , even brought their two eldest daughters to one of the Eras Tour shows in Philadelphia last year.

In fact, while performing the 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” Swift  seemingly acknowledged  her two tiny fans.

In videos shared by concert-goers, the hitmaker looked into the VIP tent, where the girls were with their mom, and mouthed, “Hi James, hi Nezzy.”

However, before seeing the pop star in concert, the young girls didn’t realize their “aunt” Taylor was a famous singer.

During an appearance on  “The Jess Cagle Show” in 2022, the “Proposal” star explained that “just like the rest of the world,” listening to Swift’s music was “like a religion” in their home.

Despite her songs playing on repeat, the girls thought Swift was “just like an aunt, like a friend of Mommy and Daddy that’s very, very close, almost family.”

“And then they went to a concert one day and were like, ‘Ohhhhh, this isn’t a hobby,’” he joked.

The “Age of Adaline” star and the “Anti-Hero” singer became close friends in 2015, one year after the actress first became a mother.

TikToker who documented journey with metastatic sarcoma dies at 31, released final video saying 'I've passed away'

TikToker Kimberley Nix, who documented her three year journey with metastatic sarcoma, has died at the age of 31.

As a final farewell, Nix published a last video on her TikTok page to her 148,000 followers saying, “If you’re seeing this message, I have passed away peacefully.”

Nix, who worked as a resident doctor, was diagnosed with palliative sarcoma cancer at 28 years old, according to her TikTok account. Since then, she's used the platform to spread awareness on sarcoma cancer, a group of cancers that begin in the bones and in soft tissues, according to the Mayo Clinic .

In her farewell video she said: "I am a resident doctor who trained in internal medical and had a beautiful life and I’m so proud of it. Those who know me know I love my pets, my husband and make up in the reverse over, my husband first and of course all of my family and friends."

"In 2021, I got the opportunity to start making TikTok videos and I never thought that these would become anything. My goal was to spread awareness about sarcoma cancer, and we have been a successful team. We have reached great heights in sarcoma awareness," she explained.

"One of the things that has been the most important for really getting to know you all better has been also sharing my own journey and through my TikTok page, I've shared my journey from the time that my disease was potentially curative ... I've shared about going through six different lines of both experimental and non experimental ... therapies," she said.

"I shared about going through the various challenges of cancer and how we overcame them and I shared about love and joy and gratitude, because in this journey being grateful with people in the little moments, those little parts of your day like that warm first sip of tea in the morning or how it feels when the snow is fresh on your face, are the most beautiful."

She also documented checking items off her bucket list — from her engagement, her wedding, to a dream trip to New York City where she had "a plush stay" that reminded her of the TV show "Gossip Girl" and saw a musical on Broadway.

Nix also enjoyed trips to the mountains, to San Francisco's wine country, and saw some of her favorite artists including Taylor Swift on her Era's Tour, Coldplay and Noah Kahan.

"Through this time my workplace, my husband’s workplace, have been so supportive of us and he’s been able to be off with me a lot of the time. I've had my parents here a lot of the time supporting me and having support is so wonderful," she said.

Nix started to cry when she spoke about her husband.

"My only sadness dying is knowing that we didn’t get to grow old together. Everything else is totally bearable because that is the only thing that really matters," she said.

In her video she said she felt "at peace" with her life and overcome with gratitude for the people in her life, enjoying everyday small moments and with her mission on TikTok.

"If following along as been helpful in any way I have achieved my goal. If sarcoma awareness is achieved, I've achieved my goal," she said.

"This community has meant the absolute world to me. I will miss you TikTok. I love you all," Nix ended her video. "Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity. I’m in happy tears because you’ve all made me find so much purpose in the end of my life."

Nix's husband, Michael MacIsaac, said in a statement on TikTok Wednesday: "My beautiful and selfless wife, my unconditional support and guiding light, and the world's purest soul, passed on today."

He said his wife faced hardship and tragedy with “grace and kindness,” “loved the unloved,” and “healed the ailing” in her life, cut too short.

“I tried to learn all I could, from the biggest inspiration I’ve ever known. Where does all your empathy come from? Your work ethic? Your ability to seize every moment? I didn’t have enough time, but a hundred lifetimes wouldn’t be enough. I’ve no idea how she crammed it all into one, short as it turned out to be,” he said.

“I’m eternally grateful to have been your husband, and am so much better off for having known you. I’m shattered into a billion pieces. I love you Kim,” he concluded his message.

In another message shared Thursday he said: "Yesterday was the worst day of my life, and somehow, thanks to some deeply cherished friends and the connectedness I felt throughout the day, we made it. Today isn’t much better, but I think we’ll make it again too."

MacIsaac said he was "overwhelmed" by the response following his wife's passing.

"You sent me your light and love from every corner of the globe. While that’s easy enough to believe — Kim accomplished the ultimate goal of leaving the world better than she found it — what I can’t believe is how many of you are concerned about me. I’m touched."

50 Cent trolls Diddy’s son King Combs for diss track that refers to feds’ raids of homes

50 Cent is trolling Christian “King” Combs, the son of embattled business mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, and rehashing a slew of allegations against him and his father. The impetus for Fitty’s latest social-media rant? King released a diss track trashing him amid all three rappers’ legal woes .

King, one of Combs’ children with late girlfriend Kim Porter, released “Pick a Side” on Sunday to apparently defend his father and badmouth his critics, targeting those who “talk down the family name” or distance themselves from the influential Bad Boy Entertainment co-founder by using the viral put-down “No Diddy.” He took aim at 50 Cent, who through his infamous trolling was also entangled in the fallout from the bombshell lawsuits against Combs over the last few months.

50 Cent files defamation lawsuit against ex Daphne Joy after rape allegation

Rapper 50 Cent has filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex Daphne Joy, who accused him last month of rape after he trolled her for being labeled a sex worker.

May 8, 2024

The explicit track produced by DJ Akademiks appears to deny sex-trafficking allegations swirling around King’s family and also refers to the raids of Diddy’s homes in the Los Angeles neighborhood Holmby Hills and Miami in March — when Homeland Security Investigations officials executed search warrants at the residences stemming from an ongoing sex-trafficking investigation by the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York. (King and his half-brother Justin Dior Combs were briefly detained at the Holmby Hills residence but were not arrested. Combs and his sons have denied any wrongdoing.)

“Police raid the crib like they think we selling crack but we out here selling tracks / Multimillion-dollar plaques / Rather put this s— on wax / All that gossip s— is whack when all they had was 50 Cent / Who put this city on the map? / Stop lying,” King raps on the track. Later he adds, “He must think we f— this b— / Knock them walls down like when them feddy boys raiding both of our cribs / Too bad they ain’t know we bought the one next door / ‘Cause that’s the one they missed.”

The 26-year-old opens the track by referring to this period as “war time.” Coincidentally, diss tracks are running rampant in the hip-hop community as of late, particularly between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar and Shaquille O’Neal’s recent dig at fellow former athlete and host Shannon Sharpe. But King focused on his issues with fair-weather fans and chatter spreading online, calling out those “hating ‘cause we rich” and rapping briefly about 50 Cent, who jumped on the “No Diddy” bandwagon.

Representatives for the Combses did not immediately respond Monday to The Times’ requests for comment.

What to know about the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs lawsuits, raids

Music mogul and rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who’s facing multiple lawsuits, is the subject of a sweeping sex trafficking probe that resulted in a federal raid of his L.A. and Miami homes.

March 28, 2024

Although he didn’t respond with a track of his own — at least not yet anyway — 50 Cent countered with a series of Instagram posts and highlighted an explicit lyric from “Pick a Side” (referring to fellatio) that has gone viral.

“I feel so threatened by the things Christian is saying on his record. I’m afraid for my life, please don’t hurt me guys. I never mentioned or posted anything about puffy’s kids 😳because KEEFE D said he killed 2Pac 🤷🏽‍♂️ LOL,” he wrote Sunday night on Instagram, sharing a photo of the Combses performing together and also referring to murder suspect Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ allegation that Diddy was involved in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder. He followed up that post with a clip from the slain rapper’s 1992 crime drama “Juice.”

Sean Combs’ son Christian accused of sexual assault on yacht that Diddy chartered

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a co-defendant in a sexual assault lawsuit against son Christian Combs, who is accused of attacking a woman on a yacht his father leased.

April 5, 2024

The G-Unit emcee, real name Curtis Jackson, also called back to a sexual assault allegation made against King from a lawsuit brought by a former superyacht steward , who claims the young rapper drugged and sexually assaulted her aboard a ship his father chartered in late December 2022.

“Damn @kingcombs that what you told Grace O’Marcaigh on that boat huh, gave her the puffy juice with that special sauce in it. LOL BOY OH BOY! BAD BOY FOR LIFE!” he wrote.

Continuing his roast, Fitty Cent posted the audio clip from the song alluding to the raids.

“Now why would you say some s— like this 🤦when you know the FEDS are investigating. IS YOU STUPID OR IS YOU DUMB? LOL,” the “In da Club” and “P.I.M.P.” rapper wrote early Monday. Despite precedents of potentially incriminating song lyrics being protected as free speech and artistic expression under the 1st Amendment, lyrics can be submitted into evidence during a criminal trial, as seen i n the Georgia case against YSL rapper Young Thug . Hip-hop lyrics in particular have been singled out in several cases, posing a potential issue for the Combs family if what King raps about the raids is true.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent continued his trolling Monday in a fifth Instagram post that included several images of news stories about the diss track, and he made more salacious allegations about the family.

A representative for 50 Cent did not immediately respond Monday to The Times’ request for comment.

The discord between the rappers bubbled up just days after Diddy’s legal team on Friday filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit against him, former Bad Boy executive Harve Pierre and a third unidentified person that alleged the men raped a 17-year-old girl in a New York music studio in 2003.

Combs’ lawyer, Jonathan Davis, called the suit a “stunt” that was “intended to prominently showcase a baseless and time barred claim” and said it “fails to state any viable claim,” noting that the plaintiff — identified only as Jane Doe in the filing — “cannot allege what day or time of year the alleged incident occurred, yet purports to miraculously recall the most prurient details with specificity,” according to the motion, which was filed Friday in a New York federal court and reviewed Monday by The Times.

The woman’s lawsuit was initially filed in December 2023 and amended in March. Diddy and his companies “categorically deny” the woman’s allegations against them and said that they “already caused incalculable damage to the reputation and business standing” of the businessman and his co-defendants.
