The Backstreet Boys, one of the best-selling bands of all time, have today announced that their ‘DNA World Tour’ will be coming to The O2 on Sunday 6 November 2022.

Backstreet Boys have announced UK and European dates for their ‘DNA’ world tour – purchase your tickets here .

The boyband, who last performed for audiences across Europe in 2019, will kick off a mammoth jaunt in Portugal’s Altice Arena on October 3 before venturing on to Spain, Germany and Italy. They will wrap up their tour with a show at The O2 arena in London on November 6.

Tickets go on general sale this Friday (April 8) at 10am local time and can be purchased here .

Backstreet Army Fan Club members can also access pre-sale tickets tomorrow (April 6) ahead of the general sale. For more information on the pre-sale head here .

To help people forced to flee their homes in Ukraine, Backstreet Boys will also contribute a portion of ticket sales from their ‘DNA’ world tour to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency to protect and assist refugees and those displaced in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

Formed in 1993 in Orlando, Florida, U.S., the Backstreet Boys became a teen pop sensation in the late ‘90s for their brand of harmony-rich pop music, and continued into the new millennium later selling over 130 million records worldwide.

After undertaking auditions held by ’90’s boyband mogul Lou Pearlman in 1992, Backstreet Boys, consisting of Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, A.J. McLean, and Nick Carter, officially formed on April 20 1993. The group’s debut live performance was at SeaWorld Orlando and was followed by a string of shows in Florida from shopping malls to high schools. After signing with Zomba/Jive Records in 1994, Backstreet Boys released their 1995 debut album “Backstreet Boys” in Europe and Canada to considerable success. Despite the popular international singles “We’ve Got It Goin’ On” and “I’ll Never Break Your Heart”, the Backstreet Boys didn’t find success in the U.S. until the year after.

The band’s sophomore international release “Backstreet’s Back” coincided with their U.S. debut “Backstreet Boys”, both of which earned considerable chart and sales success. Spawning the hits “Quit Playin’ (With My Heart)”, “As Long as You Love Me”, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), and “I’ll Never Break Your Heart”, the U.S. album propelled the group to teen pop stardom, later selling over 14 million copies.

“Millennium” was released in 1999 after a heated debacle with manager Pearlman regarding royalties. The album topped the U.S. album charts with sales of over one million in its first week of release, aided by the singles “I Want It That Way”, “Larger Than Life”, and “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely”. After “Christmas Album” was released at the tail end of 1999, and the album “Black & Blue” was issued in 2000 to similar success as its predecessors, the band took a break which lasted until 2004.

Backstreet Boys’ comeback album “Never Gone” arrived in 2005 and marked a change in style for the band however still sold over 10 million copies worldwide. After a subsequent tour and the departure of Richardson, Backstreet Boys returned to the studio. The result of which was “Unbreakable”, released in October 2007, the album debuted at No. seven on the Billboard 200 and was supported by a worldwide tour including Australia, Japan, Asia and Mexico. The band’s seventh studio album “This is Us” arrived two years later in 2009, spawning the hits “Straight Through My Heart” and “Bigger”. “In a World Like This” was issued in 2013 and marked the group’s first self-released album, followed by the documentary movie “Backstreet Boys: Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of” in 2015.

Live reviews

Backstreet Boys, the American vocal group were a household name during their heyday in the mid-90's and now celebrating their 20th anniversary the band continues to play live to their devoted fan base. There are few bands who can boast the same amount of nostalgia as Back Street Boys, and the cheers that lift the roof at their appearance is proof there is still a huge demand to see this iconic group perform their plethora of hits.

Their shows are no longer about the complex dance routines synonymous with the boy band, but moreover the brilliant vocal harmonies on fan favourites such as 'As Long As You Love Me'. The crowd erupts in cheers for classics such as 'I Want It That Way' and 'The One' as they proudly sing along as the boys command the stage and maintain the party anthem.

The finale of 'Backstreet's Back' is an energetic party anthem and the group even breaks out one of the classic dance routines for the special occasion. A concert filled with nostalgic unashamed power pop leaves the audience thrilled.

The Backstreet Boys are the boy band of my generation, so obviously I was going to LOVE LOVE LOVE every moment of their Las Vegas residency. What I did not expect was to be blown away by the sheer talent of it all. BSB can really sing, dance, chit chat, and the songs? the songs are still amazing.

Despite the fact that they're playing in a huge theater, to 7000 people the show felt intimate. They even came into the stands, I was in section 205 and when they came down and I got Nick Carter. I started shrieking because that's my favorite BSB member. So it was wonderful and fun.

Logistically, they played for 90 solid minutes, and had a 2 song encore. They started promptly at 9:30. First song was Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely and last song (encore) was Eveybody (Backstreet's Back).

I absolutely and totally loved the show and with this I can finally say all my 5th grade dreams have come true.

Oh my good. The Backstreet boys were awesome. They are definitly like a fine wine, they get better with age. They brought out all their hits. It'll definitly have you feeling 13 again. They sing a few songs from their new album (I mean it is the In a world like this tour) If you dont have it go get it. It's a mature album but it definitly has that b ackstreet sound. Watching the guys interact on stage is fun and the crowds energy is crazy. They do a set with instruments, it's impressive. They don't get enough credit for their talent. Oh and don't get me started on the VIP meet and greet. They are so sweet. They do a great job of making each and every fan feel special while moving it along quickly. I can't wait for their next tour.

The backstreet boys were awesome!!! This was my second time seeing them, I went to their concert last year as well. They played a lot of old awesome songs like: Show me the meaning of being lonely, don't want you back, all I have to give, I want it that way and a lot more! But they did play songs from their new album as well. They were also very entertaining to watch. If you're a backstreet boys fan I totally recommend seeing them in concert because I'm a fan and I absolutely loved it and had a great time!

I’ve never screamed so much in my LIFE! They were absolutely incredible and they also did their best to connect with the audience. Amazing showmen and great dancers as well! They dance just like they did in the 90s ❤️ All in all it was a treat and I can’t wait for next time! Last night my childhood dream came true, except it was much better than I ever could have imagined ❤️ BSB for life!!

Amazing show from start to finish. The show felt really intimate even though it was at a big venue. The guys sounded great and showed they can still hit those notes while dancing. They worked hard for this tour and you can tell. All of the dance moves and videos , included with the shows was a surprise and add to the already awesome show, I can’t wait to see them again!!!

This was an absolutely amazing show! BSB did not fail to disappoint. I saw them several years ago when they came to Hershey with NKOTB, and as fantastic as that show was, this one was even better. I already can not wait for them to come back to Philly, and I am definitely purchasing their new album to add to my collection.

Backstreet Boys are back and they are bringing their 'DNA World Tour' to the UK for two show-stopping dates. They will be performing at the O2 Arena London on November 6 and in Manchester on November 8.

The DNA World Tour is the eleventh concert tour by the group as they prepare to form hits from their 2019 album DNA . The 150 date tour started pre-pandemic but was cut short and rescheduled for 2022 and 2023.

Tickets are still on-sale via the O2 website, but hurry because there are limited seats available. Prices for the show are ranging from £63 - £130.

For the European leg of their tour, Backstreet Boys are being supported by KnowleDJ who has also toured with Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey. So what time can you expect the boys on stage?

Backstreet Boys reveal dream to work with ‘fan’ Adele as they announce new 2022 UK tour date

The Backstreet Boys have announced a surprise new show in London and revealed their hope to collaborate with one of the UK’s biggest stars Adele.

The five-piece – who celebrate their 30 th anniversary next year – gushed they are “stoked” to be heading back to the country’s capital for a one-off gig as part of their DNA World Tour at the O2 Arena on November 6.

It is a venue they said they have “much history” with.

The group have sold 130 million records globally and are recognised as the best-selling boyband in history.

In that time, they have got to perform with everyone from Sir Elton John to Stevie Wonder and Shania Twain but their ultimate collaboration would be with Adele.

Member AJ McLean told The Standard he thinks the group could have a chance because Adele is a fan of their music.

He said: “I do know that she’s a fan, but I have never actually met her.”

McLean, 44, is particularly excited to be heading back to London because it is one of his “favourite” cities.

He said he is especially drawn to the West End and would love to follow in the footsteps of bandmate Kevin Richardson, 50, who starred as Billy Flynn in Chicago back in 2003.

Asked about his dream role, he said: “One them is Dr. Frank-N-Furter from Rocky Horror Picture Show. I would love to be in drag, killin’ that song Sweet Transvestite. I would love to play that character.

“Kevin told me he had the greatest time that he has ever had outside of being with us. I grew up in musical theatre and to perform in the West End is definitely on my bucket list.”

A global pandemic saw the world slow down and live music shows put on the backburner.

The group last performed in the UK in 2019 and the five-piece said they can’t wait to get back to their fans.

“I think people have a new found appreciation for live concerts now. I don’t think people realised how much they needed it until now getting back to live concerts. The energy level is insane!” The I Want It That Way singer said.

“I still pinch myself every day that we’re still here doing this, we’re at the top of our game and still having a blast.”

Tickets to see the Backstreet Boys perform at the London O2 Arena on November 6 go on general sale April 8 at 10am via Ticketmaster. Pre-sale available from April 7.

Backstreet Boys: How to get tickets for the DNA tour and when do they go on sale?

The Backstreet Boys are back and they’re hitting the road in 2022 for a series of live shows across the UK and Europe.

AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter , Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell will kick off the DNA tour on the Las Vegas Strip this weekend, with four shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on April 8, 9, 15 and 16.

They’ll then perform up and down the continent later this year, including a London date, delighting long-time fans by reviving their classic pop hits.

If you’re itching to belt out I Want It That Way in an arena full of people, we have got you covered.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets go on general sale Friday, April 8 at 10am local time.

But, if you’re a Backstreet Army Fan Club member , you’re in luck, as you can access pre-sale tickets ahead of the general on sale from Wednesday, April 6.

To help people forced to flee their homes in Ukraine and support the extraordinary examples of solidarity shown across the world, Backstreet Boys will contribute a portion of ticket sales from their DNA world tour 2022 to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

This contribution will protect and assist refugees and displaced people in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

Tickets for the Backstreet Boys shows are available on Ticketmaster .

They’ll be playing London’s O2 on Sunday, November 6 so make sure you don’t miss out.

You can also see the gang in countries including Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.

Their latest tour originally began in May 2019, with the group’s biggest arena tour in 18 years thanks to the global success of their number 1 album.

They have so far travelled North America, Europe, South America and Asia, captivating thousands of adoring fans with their catalogue of bangers.

2024 Bennetts BSB tickets on sale now

This year’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship may only just have come to an end, with an all-time classic finale at Brands Hatch last weekend, but you can make your plans for 2024 now with tickets on sale now for all of MSV's UK rounds. Click here to book. Admission tickets for all of these events will be frozen at 2023 price levels until the end of December, with main race day admission just £34. Further reductions are available for 13 to 15-year-olds and under-13s go free.

Tickets can be sent either as free digital e-tickets or as physical printed copies. And whichever option you choose, they’ll be with you in time for Christmas gifting if you book now. Next year’s Bennetts BSB season will start at Circuito de Navarra (20/21 April), as the series makes a return to continental Europe for its first ever event in Spain. The circuit joined MSV’s portfolio in November in 2022 and has undergone a series of significant upgrades ahead of the series’ first visit in the spring. Ticket information for Circuito de Navarra will be available soon. The first UK round of next year’s Bennetts BSB season will take place at Oulton Park on 4-6 May, ahead of the first of two visits to Donington Park on 17-19 May. Snetterton (5-7 July), Brands Hatch (19-21 July) and Cadwell Park (24-26 August) will all host height of summer rounds, before the series returns to Oulton Park on 13-15 September. Donington Park will host the penultimate event on 27-29 September before the traditional Bennetts BSB season finale takes place on the full Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit on 11-13 October. The announcement includes a huge run of shows across Germany and a very special UK exclusive date at The O2, London. When does British Superbikes start in 2024?

The 2024 BSB season will start on Saturday 20th April 2024 at the Circuit de Navarra, Navarre, Northern Spain.

2024 Bennetts British Superbikes Test Dates

The 2024 Bennetts British Superbike season will continue the triple-header format across each of the 11 rounds, so 3 x 11 = 33 races.

The action will take place around the UK, and for the first time into Spain, at eight circuits. We visit Oulton Park, Brands Hatch (GP layout) and Donington Park twice, though while there are two trips to Donington, each of the two rounds held at the Leicestershire circuit will take place on alternative layouts; National and GP. The BSB championship once again ventures North of the Border to Knockhill, where we are sure to receive a warm welcome, and for the first time, there will be a race at Navarro in Spain.

For each round in 2024, the opening day hosts two free practice sessions for the Superbike class, where the fastest 12 riders overall will be seeded directly to the Day 2 Qualifying 2 (Q2) session.

Day 2 begins with a third, shorter Superbike free practice session in the morning, followed by Qualifying 1 (Q1), where the fastest three riders will progress to join the 12 seeded riders from Day 1 as they compete for pole position for the opening Bennetts BSB race, also known as the Sprint Race, and that takes place on the afternoon of Day 2.

The third and final day of competition will feature a morning warm up and the second and third Superbike races of the weekend, both of which are slightly longer.

The 2024 Bennetts BSB Title Showdown will continue with the 2023 points’ system.

The top fifteen riders after a race will receive points but the amount will vary between Rounds 1-8, Rounds 9 and 10 and then again for the Round 11 finale, as listed below.

It will culminate in the season-ending round at Brands Hatch featuring three races with 35 points being available for the winning rider.

Rounds 9 and 10 - The Title Showdown [Oulton Park, Donington Park]

Round 11 - The Title Finale [Brands Hatch]

The American made a very powerful start to the day's racing as he went for broke, but he then suffered a bad tumble at a tight corner with his skin taken off on one side of his body. Thankfully, he was able to clamber back onto his bike.

Childish Gambino announces 'The New World Tour': See full list of dates

Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover , has announced a world tour that will cover North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The North American leg of the tour, called "The New World Tour," will feature 33 dates and will begin in Oklahoma City on Aug. 11. The final stop on the leg will be in Chicago on Oct. 3.

The European leg of the tour kicks off Oct. 31 in Lyon, France and ends Dec. 5 in Dublin, Ireland, and will feature 18 stops across the continent. The Australia and New Zealand portion kicks off on Jan. 28, 2025 and wraps up on Feb. 11, 2025.

Alongside the world tour, Gambino also surprised fans with the release of " Atavista ," a new version of his 2020 album " 3.15.20 ," which includes two new tracks, titled "Atavista" and "Human Sacrifice."

Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ could be worth almost $1 billion to British economy

T aylor Swift’s smash-hit “ Eras Tour ” is set to boost spending in the United Kingdom by nearly $1 billion, according to estimates by Barclays.

The British bank said in a report Wednesday that it expects nearly 1.2 million Swifties to attend the superstar’s shows in the UK this summer, with the typical fan expected to spend £642 ($810) on travel, accommodation and other expenses — injecting a total of £755 million ($953 million) into the economy.

It is just the latest example of “ Swiftonomics ” — the musician’s ability to influence the economies of the cities and countries that she visits on her mammoth global tour, which kicked off in March last year in the United States.

Fans are likely to fork out £121 ($153) for accommodation, £111 ($140) for travel and £59 ($74) in restaurants around the venues, according to Barclays, which based its estimates on customer transaction data and proprietary consumer research.

Swift will perform 15 shows across four UK cities in England, Wales and Scotland in June and August. The concerts sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale, with fans spending £206 ($260) on average on a single ticket, Barclays said.

Including the ticket price, UK concertgoers will spend, on average, £848 ($1,068) each, which is more than 12 times the average cost of a night out in the UK, according to Barclays’ research.

While the price tag may seem hefty, it’s much less than many Americans will pay to see the “Eras Tour” back home. And it is well worth it for Swifties, says Dr Peter Brooks, chief behavioral scientist at Barclays.

“When it comes to cultural icons like Taylor Swift — like we saw with Elvis and Beatlemania in the 50s and 60s — supporters have such a strong connection to the artist and to the rest of the fandom that the desire to spend becomes even more powerful,” Brooks wrote in the report.

“For ‘Eras Tour’ ticketholders, every pound they spend is an investment in the memories they’ll create,” he added.

Many Swifties are prepared to go to even greater lengths to see their idol live. Almost a fifth of Swift’s fans in the UK who responded to a survey commissioned by Barclays last month said they planned to travel to mainland Europe to see the singer perform.

That’s “possibly due to ticket availability, cheaper travel and accommodation costs, or simply so that (fans) can combine the concert with (a) holiday or city break,” the bank wrote in its report.

The European leg of the “Eras Tour” includes concerts in Sweden, Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria this year.

Some of Swift’s American fans are also choosing to travel overseas to see her perform. Even with flights and accommodation expenses factored in, the overall cost of attending one of Swift’s shows in Europe is often lower than in the United States, where ticket prices are much higher.

We say it each week, but the NCAA tournament picture is fluid until Selection Monday, and this week is no exception as there are several shakeups in the very latest D1Baseball Field of 64 Projections.

In the latest iteration of our projected field, the most notable changes are in the top eight, where there are two changes this week — Florida State and East Carolina are out after tough series losses over the weekend, while sizzling hot Georgia and Wake Forest entered the top eight this week.

The caveat to Wake and Georgia entering the top eight is that, particularly in the case of Wake, a series loss to NC State this weekend would knock them back out of the top eight and put it in a situation where it would need to win some games in the ACC tournament. We feel very confident about Georgia staying in the top eight with struggling Florida heading to Athens this weekend.

The final few host spots in the 9-16 seed range remain a classic beauty pageant of teams. Basically, what do you prefer from a metric and resume standpoint. This week, we removed South Carolina, UC Santa Barbara and Duke as hosts, while Oklahoma State, Wake Forest and Oregon State entered the Top 16 this week. We discussed the Deacs above, while the Pokes swept Texas Tech last weekend and remain in solid shape an RPI and standings standpoint. The Beavs also had a strong week with a home series sweep over UCLA and remain in solid shape from an RPI standpoint.

Our belief is that whoever wins the Pac-12 showdown between the Beavs and Wildcats this weekend will find their way to a host site. For now, we’re taking the Beavers straight up in that one. NC State would be another team to keep close tabs on this weekend. Should the Wolfpack win that series at home against Wake this weekend, they likely would find their way to the hosting line. As you can see, there’s a ton at stake this weekend, and most exciting, in conference tournaments, which begin next week.

The SEC leads all conferences with nine teams in the field, while the ACC and Big 12 each have eight teams in the field this week. The Sun Belt and Pac-12 are tied with four teams each, while the Big East, Big Ten, Big West, Coastal Athletic and Conference USA are all multi-bid leagues.
