ABOUT NOTHING MORE

Rock audiences count NOTHING MORE among the most cherished acts, the kind of band who straddle the line between populism and intimacy with every performance. The San Antonio, Texas-born quartet builds unapologetically massive anthems from catchy hooks. Crowd-pleasers clear a path for heady, confessional, thought-provoking emotionalism. Fresh rewards reveal themselves with repeat listens, welcoming like-minded seekers with rich melodicism, like the best of Deftones or Tool.

Nothing More have announced UK and European shows for 2024.

The Texas rock band will take over London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on February 15, before stops in Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow and Birmingham.

The UK run will fall in the middle of a mix of their own headline shows, as well as dates supporting Electric Callboy across mainland Europe. Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST/10am CET on Wednesday (September 27). Frontman Jonny Hawkins commented:

"We are so excited to get back to Europe after playing an unforgettable summer of festivals over there. We’re bringing the full Spirits Tour to 15 headline shows across Europe and the UK with support from SiM, coming all the way from Japan, Siamese from Copenhagen and a few shows with Vukovi from Scotland! We also get to do eight shows in arenas supporting a band we have recently become big fans of, Electric Callboy! Electric Callboy’s Party metal style mixed with our Diet-Prog-Alt-Metal-Rock sandwich should make for an unforgettable night and an unforgettable winter tour in Europe!"

The news comes alongside the release of a deluxe, expanded edition of the Grammy Award-nominated quartet's 2022 album, 'Spirits'. The new extended version includes a handful of bonus tracks, including three live recordings from their concert at New York's Irving Plaza back in April. As a preview, head below to check out the live performance video for Spirits.

Hawkins added: "This is our first ever, official release, of live recordings from an electric night in NYC. The relationship we have with our fans is exceptional, and the energy from that night really shines through the recordings. We also have an EDM remix of Tired of Winning, an acoustic take on Best Times, and last but not least… a duet with the one and only Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf."

Nothing More 17th February 2024

Time: 18:00 - 22:00, price: £24.50 + bf, action presents nothing more + sim + siamese 14+ (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult).

“Fueled by ripping riffs, heavy beats, and Jonny Hawkins’ powerful pipes.” – Loudwire

Passionate audiences count NOTHING MORE among the most cherished acts, the kind of band who straddle the line between populism and intimacy with every performance. The San Antonio, Texas-born quartet builds unapologetically massive anthems from catchy hooks. Crowd-pleasers clear a path for heady, confessional, thought-provoking emotionalism. Fresh rewards reveal themselves with repeat listens, welcoming like-minded seekers with rich melodicism, like Tool, Deftones, or Thrice.

The band’s blend of explosive bombast and nuanced storytelling resulted in a half dozen Top 10 singles at Mainstream Rock Radio, including the No. 1 hit “Go to War” and the Active Rock chart-topper “This is the Time (Ballast).” 2017’s The Stories We Tell Ourselves resulted in a head-turning three Grammy Award nominations, generated by a groundswell of support from authentic fandom.

NOTHING MORE appeals to fans of Linkin Park, Incubus, Rage Against The Machine, and any crucial act that wrings relatable passion with authenticity and integrity. Memorize the arena-ready hooks. Get mesmerized by the intimate, communal live show. Dig deeper down the rabbit hole into the work of philosophers and artists like Eckhart Tolle, Carl Jung, and Alan Watts, who inspire the band. There’s a place for every type of rock fan with NOTHING MORE. Built to last, here to stay.

Nothing More was AWESOME! They really love what they do and it comes across in their energetic performance. In addition to having a phenomenal voice, Johnny is such a great percussionist and I love the fact he encorporates so much into the show! Love the set, the entrance on the “jungle gym” and Johnny’s performance on the mechanical “scorpion”!

It is rare that you find a lineup that has this much talent from every single one of the acts. Palasades came on first and gave it their all and showed that they are very deserving to be a go to opener for any bigger band. I see Palasades making it big in the future. Badflower came next, and it is easy to say that these guys are going places; big big places. Their energy and performance was phenomenal. Of Mice and Men threw the house down with their heavy hitting, high energy and stellar performance. Not one person was sitting still during their entire set. Nothing More is solidifying their place in the rock and roll world as being one of the best acts there is. There is truly Nothing More that needs to be said other than that.

I heard this would be the best show Id ever seen and IT WAS! Nothing More played the show like it was their last, giving ALL they had and then some! They performed all of their crowd pleasing songs and encouraged us to sing along. Every minute, each member was THERE, with us, rather than above or separate! IT'S A PHENOMENON UNLIKE ANY IVE EXPERIENCED IN THE MIRIAD OF SHOWS IVE SEEN IN MY LIFE AND I CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN! Nothing More is: Mark Vollelunga on guitar, Daniel Oliver on bass, Ben Anderson is drums and Jonny Hawkins is vocals. Don't wait! If Nothing More is performing anywhere near you, GO! You won't be disappointed.

40+ DATE MASSIVE GLOBAL OUTING FEATURING SPECIAL GUESTS

Kevin abstract, eyedress, blondshell, the big moon on select dates, performing at iconic venues including madison square garden, kia forum, the o2 & more, in support of forthcoming new album ‘i love you so f***ing much’ out july 19th, new single “creatures in heaven” out now, general onsale begins thursday, april 11 at 10 am local at glassanimals.com.

Today, Human Music Group Sensations Glass Animals announced their 2024 global TOUR OF EARTH . Promoted by Live Nation, the 41-date tour sees the band headlining the biggest venues of their career thus far and kicks off on Wednesday, August 7 in Charlotte, NC at PNC Music Pavilion, with stops across North America, Europe, and the UK in Toronto, New York, Nashville, Chicago, Vancouver, Inglewood, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, Glasgow, and more before wrapping up with an epic hometown performance in London, UK at The O2. The GRAMMY-nominated and BRIT-nominated, Diamond-selling British band  will be joined by special guests Kevin Abstract , Eyedress , and Blondshell on select dates throughout the North America leg. The Big Moon will join on all dates across Europe and the UK.

The tour will see the band playing many iconic venues around the world for the first time, including Madison Square Garden in New York, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, The Gorge Amphitheatre in Seattle, Kia Forum in Inglewood, 3Arena in Dublin, The O2 in London, and many more.

Yesterday, Glass Animals announced details of their highly anticipated fourth studio album, I Love You So F***ing Much , set for release on July 19th . The album is introduced by the band’s new single, “ Creatures in Heaven ,” out now—listen HERE and watch the visualizer HERE .

I Love You So F***ing Much is the follow-up to 2020’s critically revered Dreamland , which sold over 12 million copies globally and gave life to “ Heat Waves ,” the record-breaking song that became the biggest international hit from a British band in almost 30 years . It was the first song by a British band since the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” in 1995 to claim #1 for five consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 , and the first song to reach #1 with a single writer and producer since Pharell’s “Happy” —leading to the pop world’s biggest acts, including Florence Welch , all wanting to work with Glass Animals frontman, songwriter, and producer, Dave Bayley . But the birth of I Love You So F***ing Much was an existential crisis. Dave found himself struggling to make sense of this newfound global stardom, having watched it all happen while the world was in lockdown.

He says, “Life can change dramatically, but sometimes you aren’t able to change as quickly on a personal level. You end up feeling like a spectator. And then you are asked and expected to be a certain type of person, a different person. But…I wasn’t sure how. It confused me to the point of not knowing who I was or if anything was real.” It took being stranded on a cliff in a wooden house on stilts during one of California’s biggest storms in history to push that feeling into a full existential crisis. In forced isolation, watching trees tumble down mountains and assuming “death was coming,” Dave began asking questions of himself, of the universe, and of the human experience: namely, love. As he came to accept himself as an introvert, Dave realized that “human connection and the love between us is much bigger, more important, and more complex than anything else” . “Creatures in Heaven” is the sublime first glimpse into ten intimate love stories set against the backdrop of the universe.

Balmoral Castle

Tea and a tour of Balmoral Castle? That will set you back £150

For the first time visitors will be able to see areas of the Scottish castle used by Charles and Camilla – if they have deep pockets

Parts of Balmoral Castle used by the royal family will open to the public for the first time – for those who have deep pockets.

For £100 for an adult ticket – and an extra £50 for those wishing to partake of afternoon tea – guided summer tours of the castle in Aberdeenshire are being offered, limited to 40 people a day and in groups restricted to 10 people.

It is the first time since the castle’s completion in 1855 that visitors will be shown two dining rooms, the drawing room, the page’s lobby and the red corridor, where King Charles greeted Rishi Sunak.

The tour also includes access to the ballroom with a collection of Charles’s watercolour collection depicting scenery at Balmoral, Highgrove and Sandringham as well as a selection of outfits worn by Charles, Camilla, the late queen and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Previous tours, which will continue, have been of the grounds and gardens with access to the castle itself limited to the ballroom.

The tours, from 1 July until 4 August, before the king and queen arrive for their annual break, are being run for a trial period so estate staff can judge how the fragile building copes with increased footfall.

The £150 a head price tag for tour and high tea makes it the most expensive royal residence for visitors wanting the exclusive experience.

Buckingham Palace, which has long been open to the public during the summer months, charges £95 for an exclusive guided tour away from the crowds, though general summer admission with the masses costs between £32 and £35. Afternoon tea is not included, but at the nearby Ritz, the “afternoon tea experience” costs from £64.

St James’s Palace, which started guided tours in 2022 limited to 30 people, costs £80 for an adult. At the cheaper end of royal residence visits, Windsor Castle offers general adult admission at £30 in advance, while Sandringham House in Norfolk costs £24 and the Castle of Mey, the queen’s mother’s former Scottish home, is £14.50.

The Balmoral Castle website said experienced guides on the interior tour “will take you on a historical journey through several of the beautiful rooms within Balmoral Castle”.

It adds: “Travel through time from the purchase of the Balmoral by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, through to present day, where you can see how rooms within the castle are used today.”

The incident took place Saturday morning in the Kafue National park

An 80-year-old American tourist was killed by a bull elephant when the safari tour group she was part of was charged at by the animal.

Another female guest was also injured in the incident that took place in the Kafue National Park, Zambia .

The group of six guests and a guide had been on a safari from Lufupa Camp, when around 9.30am local time on Saturday 30 March, their vehicle was "unexpectedly charged" by the animal.

A video captured the terrifying moment the elephant chased down the tour group.

The group's vehicle was driving through the national park as the elephant could be seen closing in on them.

The vehicle came to a stop and in the moments before the elephant knocked it over, the guide could be heard shouting "hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!"

Keith Vincent, Wilderness chief executive officer, said: "This is a tragic event and we extend our deepest condolences to the family of the guest who died. We are also, naturally, supporting those guests and the guide involved in this distressing incident."

Mr Vincent added the vehicle had stopped because "sadly in this instance the terrain and vegetation was such that the guide's route became blocked and he could not move the vehicle out of harm's way quickly enough".
