It’s difficult to imagine a time when Coldplay weren’t around. From ‘Yellow’ and ‘Viva La Vida’ to ‘A Sky Full of Stars’, the band’s music is ubiquitous across TV ads, cheesy club remixes, primary school discos and parents’ CD collections. Their popularity is intergenerational and far-reaching – for proof, you only have to look at countless sold-out stadium shows from their current ‘Music of the Spheres’  tour. 

Chris Martin and co have been on tour since 2022 and have just announced even more dates for summer 2024. Though the UK has not been blessed with more shows, the band will be coming to Ireland for the first time in seven years. The tour so far has been praised for its commitment to sustainability and ambitious colourful production. The Guardian  called it 'one massive euphoric singalong' while NME praised it as 'a fantastical, feel-good bonanza that delivers on a bold promise.'

When are Coldplay touring in Dublin?

Coldplay will be at Croke Park in Dublin on August 29 and August 30 2024. 

When do tickets go on sale for Coldplay? 

General sale goes live on Ticketmaster on Friday July 28 at 10am. 

How much do Coldplay tour tickets cost? 

Seated tickets start from €80 (£69) and go up to €180 (£155), standing costs €120 (£103) and VIP packages range from €300 (£258) to €500 (£431). 

The band also announced that there will be a number of bargain ‘Infinity Tickets’ available in an effort to make the gigs accessible to more fans. These will cost around €20 (£17) and can only be bought in pairs. According to MCD Productions these will be made available at a later date. So watch this space. 

How can I access presale for tickets? 

Fans who signed up for presale will have already received a code. Pre-sale for Coldplay’s European leg opened on Tuesday July 25 at 10am and a promoters pre-sale goes live at the same time on Wednesday July 26.

When did Coldplay last play in Ireland?

Coldplay’s Dublin dates have been a long time coming. The last time the band performed in Ireland was 2017, when they also gigged at Croke Park as part of their ‘Head Full of Dreams’ tour.

Due to incredible demand, a 4th Coldplay Music Of The Spheres World Tour date has been added on September 2nd 2024 at Croke Park, Dublin, subject to licence.

Following the sellout success of Coldplay’s summer 2023 European stadium run, last Thursday the band announced a third run of European dates for June, July and August 2024, as part of their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour.

Since the first Music Of The Spheres World Tour date in March 2022, Coldplay have sold more than 7.5 million tickets – the most for any tour over the last two years. The tour has also received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, picking up accolades including Favorite Touring Artist at the 2022 AMAs and Tour of The Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards.

Last month, a report by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology revealed that Coldplay’s current tour has so far produced 47% less CO2e emissions than their previous stadium tour in 2016/17 (on a show-by-show comparison), and that 5 million trees have already been planted around the world (one for each concert goer so far).

Coldplay have also confirmed they will make a limited number of Infinity Tickets available for the shows at a later date. Infinity Tickets are released for every Coldplay show to make the Music Of The Spheres World Tour accessible to fans for an affordable price. They will cost the equivalent of €20 per ticket. They are restricted to a maximum of two tickets per purchaser, and must be bought in pairs (which will be located next to each other).

Coldplay announce two Dublin concerts for August 2024

Coldplay have announced two concerts in Dublin next summer as part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour.

The band will play Croke Park on Thursday 29th and Friday, August 30th, 2024, subject to licence.

The new dates come following the British band’s summer 2023 European stadium run, which concluded on Wednesday night with a fourth Amsterdam show. The dates next summer will be the third run of European dates as part of this tour.

Presale tickets for the Dublin concerts begin at 10am on Tuesday July 25th, with general sale starting on Friday July 28th. People can sign up for artist presale through the band’s website.

The dates include the Coldplay’s first shows in Greece, Romania and Finland, as well as their first show in Rome since 2003 and first visit to Budapest since 2008.

The last time the band – comprising Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion and creative director Phil Harvey – played in Ireland was in 2017, as part of their A Head Full of Dreams tour. Many fans were left disappointed with tickets selling out within minutes.

The Music of the Spheres World Tour opened in March 2022, and the band has since sold more than 7.5 million tickets.

The band formed in 1997 and have nine studio albums, the most recent being Music of the Spheres, which was released in 2021. Their genre of music has evolved over that time, moving from an alternative rock band in its formative years to a more pop-centric ensemble more recently.

Coldplay have added fresh European dates to their upcoming 2024, including a third and fouth date at Dublin's Croke Park.

Chris Martin and co were set to take their Music Of The Spheres tour to Europe playing dates at the likes of Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Groupama Stadium, Lyon 8th June - Olympic Stadium, Athens where they will play hits from across their career, including Yellow , Clocks , Viva La Vida and My Universe.

The presale took place on Tuesday (25th July) with extra dates added at various venues due to phenomenal demand.

Tickets for Coldplay's Dublin dates went on pre-sale on Tuesday 25th July and will go on general sale this Friday 28th July from 10am. A limited number of Infinity tickets will also be on sale.

Coldplay have officially announced Dublin dates for their world tour.

Rumours have swirled online about the band's return to Ireland. Details of Dublin gigs were posted and subsequently deleted last night on Ticketmaster .

However, the gigs have now been confirmed online. Coldplay will perform in Croke Park on August 29 and August 30.

Tickets are expected to go on pre-sale on Tuesday July 25 at 10am. Fans can register for the pre-sale through the band's website .

Coldplay 2024 tour tickets: How to see the iconic band in Dublin

Coldplay have announced a set of 16 new dates for their 2024 European tour, with the final two nights in Dublin.

The dates are in Summer so there is plenty of time to build excitement.

However, if you want to secure yourself a spot in the crowd, you will need to act fast, as tickets are going on sale within a week of this announcement was made. 

So when are Chris Martin and co playing Dublin? And how can you get tickets?

When are Coldplay playing Dublin?

Coldplay's Music Of The Spheres world tour is venturing into Europe next summer, and that includes Dublin.

The Republic of Ireland's capital is hosting the band on two consecutive nights at the end of the season - August 29, and 30 2024.

How to see Coldplay in Dublin

The London band are playing Croke Park, and a massive crowd is expected to run comfortably into the tens of thousands.

Irish fans hoping to go to the shows can already register for the ticket presale, which begins on Tuesday, July 25 at 10am. 

Meanwhile, general sale begins on Friday, July 28 at the same time. 

How to get cheaper tickets to see Coldplay

The band have confirmed they will be making a limited number of Infinity tickets available for the concerts.

Infinity Tickets are cheaper tickets for people who can't afford Coldplay’s usual ticket price.

For the Dublin shows, they will come in at €20 each, and must be bought in pairs.

The one drawback is that you can’t choose where you sit, so might left be right at the back or near the front - which is a big difference at Croke Park.

Fans can register for first access to tickets in the presale - which begins for all shows on Tuesday, July 25 at Coldplay.com now. 

The general sale begins at 10am local time for all cities on Friday, July 28.  You can purchase tickets on Ticketmaster here. 

Coldplay sold 1.4million tickets for their 2023 UK and European tour which kicked off in May.

The new dates were announced after they wrapped up the UK leg of their massive world tour, which included six-nights at Wembley Stadium in London.

Coldplay are known for their extravagant shows and outlandish stage surprises.

And Chris previously revealed the reason behind the band's whacky tour guests - which include alien head masks and puppet bands.

Sharing that 'It allows us to be more free', the frontman, also explained that his bandmates - guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion - shut down most of his out-there ideas as they 'have to feel it'.

The musician duets with The Weirdos, who are a fictional alien puppet band, while performing track Biutyful from their Music of the Spheres album.

While he has also taken to the stage of sold-out shows to perform sporting a rubber alien mask.

Explaining that the reasoning for the mask is that it shows their belief 'in the equality of all people and all beings'.

Talking to ColdplayXtra , Chris detailed: 'The aliens and all that stuff, it’s allegorical. It’s us talking about life on Earth but without naming names because we are not really into criticism or finger pointing.

'But having alien heads is us saying we really believe in the equality of all people and all beings. So when people say they don’t really understand, I feel like that’s OK, it is maybe not for everybody.

'It is only for, like, six minutes. It allows us to go even more free and that is the whole reason we exist these days — to be free and to encourage others to be free.'

And while Coldplay's live shows may seem to be filled to the brim with excitement, Chris also shared that he suggests a whole lot more - with his ideas vetoed by bandmates.

Pinning the final decision down to bandmate Will, Chris shared that the drummer 'has to feel it': 'For every idea that you see on stage there has been about 51 that Will said, ‘No way’. But that is how it works. He has to feel it. Once he feels it, we do it.'

Describing Will as 'the heart and anchor of the band', the star explained that it has to resonate with his pal.

Coldplay Plot 2024 European Tour Dates

After a sold-out European stadium tour this summer, Coldplay have followed up and announced another series of dates that will take them across the continent next summer as an extension of their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour. The run includes the band’s first-ever shows in Greece, Romania, and Finland, as well as their first show in Rome since 2003 and first visit to Budapest since 2008.

Commencing on June 8, 2024, the excursion will pick up in Athens at Olympic Stadium before moving to the Arena Națională in Bucharest, Romania, on June 12. From there, the Chris Martin-led band will take part in an appearance at Budapest’s Puskás Aréna on June 16. Then, the group will kick off a stream of doubles, playing two nights at Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France, on June 22 and 23, and Stadio Olimpico in Rome on July 12 and 13. 

Another two-night stand lands next at Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf before a single evening at Helsinki’s Olympiastadion on July 28. Remaining in Germany, the band will slide into Munch, where they are scheduled to hit the stage on August 15 and 17. They’ll pick up gigs at Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna on August 21 and 22, prior to the arrival of their final dates in Dublin, on August 29 and 30. 

The presale will start at 9 a.m. in Athens, Bucharest, Budapest, Lyon, Rome, and Helsinki and at 10 a.m. local time in Dusseldorf, Munich, Vienna, and Dublin. The general sale begins at 10 a.m. local time for all cities on Friday, July 28. For more information, visit www.coldplay.com .

Maggie Rogers Extends 2024 Tour: How To Get Tickets

Maggie Rogers announced her upcoming Don’t Forget Me Tour back in February, and the “Alaska” singer has already added a second leg to the international trek. The tour (plus a Coldplay support tour) will take the singer/songwriter across the US, Canada, Germany, Austria, and Ireland.

Rogers will also bring a few special guests, including Ryan Beatty and The Japanese House. Tickets are still widely available for the upcoming tour, and we’ll help you secure your spot.

The Maggie Rogers 2024 Tour will begin on April 13 in New York City at Irving Plaza. The new final date will be November 2 in Inglewood, California at the Kia Forum with support from Ryan Beatty. The newly announced tour dates will span the US and Canada.

Fans can get tickets to the Don’t Forget Me Tour through Rogers’ website . Ticketmaster will also be hosting a few different presales, many of which kick off on different dates. Check Ticketmaster to see when the presale launch for your chosen tour date goes live.

General on-sale for the second leg of the tour will begin on Friday, April 26. Rogers also announced on Instagram that she will be attempting to combat ticket fees by selling them in person at a number of venues during Box Office Week from April 13 to April 20. The tickets will be for select fall arena concert dates. Fans can learn more about this through her website .

Maggie Rogers Adds Fall 2024 Tour Dates

Maggie Rogers has announced the second part of her Don’t Forget Me Tour . The second leg takes place in October and November. See all of Rogers’ tour dates below.

Tickets to a handful of Rogers’ shows are available exclusively in-person at box offices. She explained in a press statement:

On the last album, Surrender , I decided to go old school and sell tickets in-person in an effort to reduce fees, combat bots, and get tickets directly into the hands of fans. That process was so fun; this year, I’m hosting “Box Office Week,” where I’ve set some special prices for fans who want to come purchase tickets in person. Here’s how it’s going to work… from April 13th to April 20th, in every city where I’m playing an arena this fall, you can go to the local box office to choose your seats and buy your ticket for a special in-person price. You can find all the exact information for your city HERE . In NYC, Philly, Boston, and Chicago, I’m going to be in person selling tickets directly to you at the box office. After the box office day festivities, I’ll be playing a show that very same night in those four cities where me and my band will perform Don’t Forget Me for the very first time.

Everybody's favourite boyband Take That are currently taking their hit songs on the road as they embark on This Life On Tour .

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will be delighting fans with performances of classic tunes such as Patience , Rule The World , Never Forget , Relight My Fire , Hold Up a Light , and Back For Good , as they sing across the country.

After receiving rave reviews for their initial shows, the boys will be travelling to locations such as Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and London along with their very special guest and new-father Olly Murs.

Taylor Swift shocker: New album, "The Tortured Poets Department," is actually a double album

Anticipation was growing at a fever pitch before Taylor Swift's latest album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," dropped at midnight EDT. But the pop superstar had a huge surprise on tap: It's actually a double album.

When Part One dropped, Swift wrote on Instagram, "All's fair in love and poetry... New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out now 🤍"  It has 17 tracks.

Then came the shocker, revealed in an Instagram post saying , "It's a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album. ✌️ I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here's the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn't mine anymore… it's all yours. 🤍."

Hours ahead of the record's release, Swift said on social media that its first single was "Fortnight," featuring Post Malone, and its music video was released.

Swift praised the Grammy-nominated artist's musical experimentation and melodies "that just stick in your head forever."

"I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight," Swift said in a post on X .

"Fortnight" isn't the only track on the album on which Swift worked with another artist. Florence and The Machine is also featured.

The shows arrive as the band are teasing new music for this summer

Public Service Broadcasting have announced details of a huge tour across the UK and Europe – set to take place later this year. Find dates and ticket details below.

Set to kick off this winter, the London-based band will travel across the UK and Ireland for the first leg of the 2024 tour, before making their way over to mainland Europe for the latter half of the new dates.

The shows will launch with an opening night at the Cyprus Avenue venue in Cork on October 11, followed by a stop at the Telegraph Building in Belfast the following night. From there, slots in Dublin, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Manchester are booked, as well as other cities across the UK.

These include gigs at the Albert Hall in Manchester, the O2 Academy in Leeds, Rock City in Nottingham, London’s Roundhouse and more. The UK shows conclude with a show in Aylesbury on October 31 – held at the Waterside Theatre.

From there, the European dates run throughout November and start with a gig at the Melkweg venue in Amsterdam, followed by stops in Brussels, Cologne, Hamburg, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and more.

The tour wraps up with further shows across Spain, Italy and Switzerland, before closing with a final gig at the Petit Bain in Paris on November 29.

The announcement of an upcoming 2024 tour comes as the first since the conceptual pop proggers hit the road in support of 2021’s ‘Bright Magic’ album.

It also comes as the quartet are planning to release new material over the next few months. At time of writing, no further details have been shared on what fans can expect from the upcoming music, although if it does turn out to be a full studio album, it’ll mark the first from the band in three years.

Ahead of the upcoming UK and European trek, Public Service Broadcasting will play a sold-out show at Durham Cathedral as part of Durham BRASS Festival. Taking place on July 5, it’ll see the members perform their 2017 album ‘Every Valley’ in full and accompanied by the 38-piece NASUWT Riverside Brass Band.
